3 願吾父上帝、及主耶穌基督、賜爾恩寵平康、我儕每爲爾祈禱、謝吾主耶穌基督之父上帝者、

3 We give thanks2168 to God2316 and the Father3962 of our Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ,5547 praying4336 always3842 for you,
|
|
4 因聞爾信耶穌基督、愛諸聖徒、
|
4 Since we heard191 of your5216 faith4102 in Christ5547 Jesus,2424 and of the love26 which3588 you have to all3956 the saints,40
|
|
5 素聽福音眞道、仰望在天之福故也、
|
5 For the hope1680 which3588 is laid606 up for you in heaven,3772 whereof3739 you heard4257 before4257 in the word3056 of the truth226 of the gospel;2098

|
6 此道傳至爾爾聞之、誠知上帝恩而結菓、亦傳至天下而結菓焉、
|
6 Which3588 is come3918 to you, as it is in all3956 the world;2889 and brings2592 forth1901 fruit,2592 as it does also2532 in you, since575 the day2250 you heard191 of it, and knew1921 the grace5485 of God2316 in truth:226

7 我所愛同僚以巴弗乃基督忠僕、緣爾故教爾斯道、

8 以爾感聖神懷仁愛告我、

9 我儕聞之、爲爾祈禱不輟、願爾感聖神得智慧、備知其旨、

9 For this5124 cause1223 5124 we also,2532 since575 the day2250 we heard191 it, do not cease3973 to pray4336 for you, and to desire154 that you might be filled4137 with the knowledge1922 of his will2307 in all3956 wisdom4678 and spiritual4152 understanding;4907

10 所行宜乎主、大悅其意、結菓爲善、知上帝益深、
|
10 That you might walk4043 worthy516 of the Lord2962 to all3956 pleasing,699 being fruitful2592 in every3956 good18 work,2041 and increasing837 in the knowledge1922 of God;2316
|
|
11 又願爾得主大力、實能忍耐喜樂、
|
11 Strengthened1412 with all3956 might,1411 according2596 to his glorious1391 power,2904 to all3956 patience5281 and long-suffering3115 with joyfulness;5479
|
|
12 我謝父、俾我衆得共稱聖徒之業於光明之域、
|
12 Giving thanks2168 to the Father,3962 which3588 has made2427 us meet2427 to be partakers3310 of the inheritance2819 of the saints40 in light:5457
|
|
13 免我衆爲幽冥所制、見徙於愛子之國、
|
13 Who3739 has delivered4506 us from the power1849 of darkness,4655 and has translated3179 us into1519 the kingdom932 of his dear26 Son:5207
|
|
14 因其流血、我儕得贖罪赦過、
|
14 In whom3739 we have2192 redemption629 through1223 his blood,129 even the forgiveness859 of sins:266
|
|
15 彼象無形之上帝、生於萬物先、
|
15 Who3739 is the image1504 of the invisible517 God,2316 the firstborn4416 of every3956 creature:2937
|
|
16 萬物以之而造、不論在天在地、有形無形、有位執政權力者、皆以之造、而歸向之、
|
16 For by him were all3956 things created,2936 that are in heaven,3772 and that are in earth,1093 visible3707 and invisible,517 whether1535 they be thrones,2362 or1535 dominions,2963 or1535 principalities,746 or1535 powers:1849 all3956 things were created2936 by him, and for him:
|
|
17 上帝之子先萬物、萬物以之恆存、
|
17 And he is before4253 all3956 things, and by him all3956 things consist.4921
|
|
18 會猶人身、彼乃元首、其甦爲諸死者始、以爲萬物倡、
|
18 And he is the head2776 of the body,4983 the church:1577 who3739 is the beginning,746 the firstborn4416 from the dead;3498 that in all3956 things he might have the preeminence.4409
|
|
19 父喜以盛德恆備乎子、
|
19 For it pleased2106 the Father that in him should all3956 fullness4138 dwell;2730
|
|
20 旣流血於十字架、致人平康、父緣此今天地萬有、得親於己、
|
20 And, having made1517 peace1517 through1223 the blood129 of his cross,4716 by him to reconcile604 all3956 things to himself;848 by him, I say, whether1535 they be things in earth,1093 or1535 things in heaven.3772
|
|
21 爾素行惡、厥心悖逆、不附上帝、
|
21 And you, that were sometime4218 alienated526 and enemies2190 in your3588 mind1271 by wicked4190 works,2041 yet1161 now3570 has he reconciled604
|
|
22 今基督以厥身死、令爾克與之親、使爾潔淨、無垢無疵、立於上帝前、
|
22 In the body4983 of his flesh4561 through1223 death,2288 to present3936 you holy40 and blameless299 and unreproveable410 in his sight:2714
|
|
23 而爾恆信、厚厥址基、堅立不移、不絕望於福音、此福音傳至天下萬人、我保羅爲之執事、
|
23 If1489 you continue1961 in the faith4102 grounded2311 and settled,1476 and be not moved3334 away3334 from the hope1680 of the gospel,2098 which you have heard,191 and which3739 was preached2784 to every3956 creature2937 which is under5259 heaven;3772 whereof3739 I Paul3972 am made1096 a minister;1249

24 緣爾受苦、反以爲喜、會爲基督身、我欲益會、故我爲基督而當受之難、無不盡受、
|
24 Who now3568 rejoice5463 in my sufferings3804 for you, and fill466 up that which is behind5303 of the afflictions2347 of Christ5547 in my flesh4561 for his body's4983 sake, which3739 is the church:1577
|
|
25 上帝賜我職、爲會中執事、遍傳上帝道、
|
25 Whereof3739 I am made1096 a minister,1249 according2596 to the dispensation3622 of God2316 which3588 is given1325 to me for you, to fulfill4137 the word3056 of God;2316
|
|
26 以永世所隱奧妙、顯明於聖徒、
|
26 Even the mystery3466 which3588 has been hid614 from ages165 and from generations,1074 but now3570 is made5319 manifest5319 to his saints:40
|
|
27 上帝欲示聖徒知奧妙之富有、卽基督爲榮顯之基、使爾異邦人知所仰望、
|
27 To whom3739 God2316 would2309 make1107 known1107 what5101 is the riches4149 of the glory1391 of this5127 mystery3466 among1722 the Gentiles;1484 which3739 is Christ5547 in you, the hope1680 of glory:1391
|
|
28 我傳此道、以智勸誨諸人、欲使諸人盡知基督耶穌之道、立於上帝前、
|
28 Whom3739 we preach,2605 warning3560 every3956 man,444 and teaching1321 every3956 man444 in all3956 wisdom;4678 that we may present3936 every3956 man444 perfect5046 in Christ5547 Jesus:2424

|
29 爲此我竭力服勞、依其助我之大力、
|
29 Whereunto1519 3739 I also2532 labor,2872 striving75 according2596 to his working,1753 which3588 works1754 in me mightily.1722 1411
