1 In the six8337 and thirtieth7970 year8141 of the reign4438 of Asa609 Baasha1201 king4428 of Israel3478 came up5927 against5921 Judah,3063 and built1129 853 Ramah,7414 to the intent that he might let5414 none1115 go out3318 or come in935 to Asa609 king4428 of Judah.3063

1 亞撒王三十六年、以色列王巴沙、攻猶大、建拉馬邑、使民不得歸猶大王亞撒。

2 Then Asa609 brought out3318 silver3701 and gold2091 out of the treasures4480 214 of the house1004 of the LORD3068 and of the king's4428 house,1004 and sent7971 to413 Ben-hadad1130 king4428 of Syria,758 that dwelt3427 at Damascus,1834 saying,559

2 亞撒以耶和華殿中府庫、及王宮室、所藏之金銀、遣使至大馬色、饋亞蘭王便哈達曰、

3 There is a league1285 between996 me and thee, as there was between996 my father1 and thy father:1 behold,2009 I have sent7971 thee silver3701 and gold;2091 go,1980 break6565 thy league1285 with854 Baasha1201 king4428 of Israel,3478 that he may depart5927 from4480 5921 me.

3 爾我之父有約、爾我間亦當有約、我饋爾金銀、請爾渝以色列王巴沙之盟、俾勿攻我。

4 And Ben-hadad1130 hearkened8085 unto413 king4428 Asa,609 and sent7971 853 the captains8269 of his834 armies2428 against413 the cities5892 of Israel;3478 and they smote5221 853 Ijon,5859 and Dan,1835 and Abel-maim,66 and all3605 the store4543 cities5892 of Naphtali.5321

4 便哈達從其言、使武士長攻以色列族邑、擊以雲、但、亞伯馬音、納大利諸府庫。

5 And it came to pass,1961 when Baasha1201 heard8085 it, that he left off2308 building4480 1129 853 of Ramah,7414 and let853 his work4399 cease.7673

5 巴沙方建拉馬、聞其謀乃止。
|
|
6 Then Asa609 the king4428 took3947 853 all3605 Judah;3063 and they carried away5375 853 the stones68 of Ramah,7414 and the timber6086 thereof, wherewith834 Baasha1201 was building;1129 and he built1129 therewith853 Geba1387 and Mizpah.4709

7 And at that1931 time6256 Hanani2607 the seer7203 came935 to413 Asa609 king4428 of Judah,3063 and said559 unto413 him, Because thou hast relied8172 on5921 the king4428 of Syria,758 and not3808 relied8172 on5921 the LORD3068 thy God,430 therefore5921 3651 is the host2428 of the king4428 of Syria758 escaped4422 out of thine hand.4480 3027

7 是時先見者哈拿尼、覲猶大王亞撒、告之曰、因爾恃亞蘭王、不爾上帝耶和華是賴、故不克亞蘭軍。

8 Were1961 not3808 the Ethiopians3569 and the Lubims3864 a huge7230 host,2428 with very3966 many7235 chariots7393 and horsemen?6571 yet, because thou didst rely8172 on5921 the LORD,3068 he delivered5414 them into thine hand.3027

8 古實人、路庇人、軍勢浩大、車騎衆多、因爾恃耶和華、故耶和華使爾戰勝之。
|
|
9 For3588 the eyes5869 of the LORD3068 run to and fro7751 throughout the whole3605 earth,776 to show himself strong2388 in the behalf of5973 them whose heart3824 is perfect8003 toward413 him. Herein5921 2063 thou hast done foolishly:5528 therefore3588 from henceforth4480 6258 thou shalt have3426 wars.4421

9 耶和華遍覽天下、見誠心從之者、則力庇焉。爾弗以之是賴、不智孰甚、嗣後戰鬬、靡有已時。

10 Then Asa609 was wroth3707 with413 the seer,7203 and put5414 him in a prison4115 house;1004 for3588 he was in a rage2197 with5973 him because of5921 this2063 thing. And Asa609 oppressed7533 some of4480 the people5971 the same1931 time.6256

10 亞撒震怒、幽先見者於獄、虐遇其民。
|
|
11 And, behold,2009 the acts1697 of Asa,609 first7223 and last,314 lo,2009 they are written3789 in5921 the book5612 of the kings4428 of Judah3063 and Israel.3478

11 亞撒事實、備載於猶大及以色列列王紀畧。
|
|
12 And Asa609 in the thirty7970 and ninth8672 year8141 of his reign4438 was diseased2456 in his feet,7272 until5704 his disease2483 was exceeding4605 great: yet1571 in his disease2483 he sought1875 not3808 853 to the LORD,3068 but3588 to the physicians.7495

12 亞撒三十九年、患足疾甚重、延醫調治、不求耶和華。
|
|
13 And Asa609 slept7901 with5973 his fathers,1 and died4191 in the one259 and fortieth705 year8141 of his reign.4427
|
13 四十一年薨。
|
|
14 And they buried6912 him in his own sepulchers,6913 which834 he had made3738 for himself in the city5892 of David,1732 and laid7901 him in the bed4904 which834 was filled4390 with sweet odors1314 and divers kinds2177 of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art:7543 4842 4639 and they made8313 a very5704 3966 great1419 burning8316 for him.
