6 知上帝始助爾爲善、迨耶穌基督臨日、必竣其工也、

7 我思爾固宜若是、爾與我共享恩寵、故心常念爾、縲絏在茲、明辯福音在茲、

9 我祈禱、欲爾仁愛智慧、日以滋多、

10 可辯異同、心純無礙、以待基督臨日、
|
|
11 Being filled4137 with the fruits2590 of righteousness,1343 which3588 are by1223 Jesus2424 Christ,5547 unto1519 the glory1391 and2532 praise1868 of God.2316

11 賴耶穌基督集義之菓、彰上帝之榮譽、
|
|
12 But1161 I would1014 ye5209 should understand,1097 brethren,80 that3754 the things3588 which happened unto2596 me1691 have fallen out2064 rather3123 unto1519 the furtherance4297 of the3588 gospel;2098
|
12 我欲兄弟知我遇難、福音益以廣布、
|
|
13 So that5620 my3450 bonds1199 in1722 Christ5547 are1096 manifest5318 in1722 all3650 the3588 palace,4232 and2532 in all3956 other3062 places;
|
13 我緣基督、陷於縲絏、遍聞營壘、隨在播揚、
|
|
14 And2532 many4119 of the3588 brethren80 in1722 the Lord,2962 waxing confident3982 by my3450 bonds,1199 are much more bold5111 4056 to speak2980 the3588 word3056 without fear.870

14 宗主諸兄弟、因我縲絏、益毅然傳道無懼、
|
|
15 Some5100 indeed3303 preach2784 Christ5547 even2532 of1223 envy5355 and2532 strife;2054 and1161 some5100 also2532 of1223 good will: 2107

15 且傳基督道、而人媢嫉、朋黨者有之、善意者有之、
|
|
16 The one3588 3303 preach2605 Christ5547 of1537 contention,2052 not3756 sincerely,55 supposing3633 to add2018 affliction2347 to my3450 bonds: 1199
|
16 彼傳基督道、爲朋黨、非誠心、欲苦我於縲絏中、
|
|
17 But1161 the other3588 of1537 love,26 knowing1492 that3754 I am set2749 for1519 the defense627 of the3588 gospel.2098
|
17 此則出於仁愛、知我爲辯福音而用、
|
|
18 What5101 then?1063 notwithstanding,4133 every3956 way,5158 whether1535 in pretense,4392 or1535 in truth,225 Christ5547 is preached;2605 and2532 I therein1722 5129 do rejoice,5463 yea,235 and2532 will rejoice.5463
|
18 然則余將若何、凡事不論眞僞、有傳基督道者、我樂之、亦終樂之、
|
|
19 For1063 I know1492 that3754 this5124 shall turn576 to1519 my3427 salvation4991 through1223 your5216 prayer,1162 and2532 the supply2024 of the3588 Spirit4151 of Jesus2424 Christ,5547
|
19 我知爾爲我祈禱、賴耶穌基督之神助我、我雖遘難、亦必受福、
|
|
20 According2596 to my3450 earnest expectation603 and2532 my hope,1680 that3754 in1722 nothing3762 I shall be ashamed,153 but235 that with1722 all3956 boldness,3954 as5613 always,3842 so now3568 also2532 Christ5547 shall be magnified3170 in1722 my3450 body,4983 whether1535 it be by1223 life,2222 or1535 by1223 death.2288

20 我企望無愧、平昔諤諤、今而後、或生或死、基督將因我躬丕顯矣、
|
|
21 For1063 to me1698 to live2198 is Christ,5547 and2532 to die599 is gain.2771
|
21 我生爲基督、死而獲益、
|
|
22 But1161 if1487 I live2198 in1722 the flesh,4561 this5124 is the fruit2590 of my3427 labor:2041 yet2532 what5101 I shall choose138 I wot1107 not.3756
|
22 若欲使吾生於世、而結果是事、則可、然當何擇、弗顧也、
|
|
23 For1063 I am in a strait4912 between1537 two,1417 having2192 a desire1939 to depart,360 and2532 to be1511 with4862 Christ;5547 which is far4183 3123 better: 2909
|
23 我際兩難之間、甚欲歸、與基督共在爲愈美、
|
|
24 Nevertheless1161 to abide1961 in1722 the3588 flesh4561 is more needful316 for1223 you.5209
|
24 但在世有裨益於爾、倍加切要、
|
|
25 And2532 having this confidence,3982 5124 I know1492 that3754 I shall abide3306 and2532 continue with4839 you5213 all3956 for1519 your5216 furtherance4297 and2532 joy5479 of faith;4102
|
25 我亦深知我必仍存、與爾同居、助爾樂於信主、
|
|
26 That2443 your5216 rejoicing2745 may be more abundant4052 in1722 Jesus2424 Christ5547 for1722 me1698 by1223 my1699 coming3952 to4314 you5209 again.3825
|
26 蓋我再至爾處、將使爾賴耶穌基督而增喜、
|
|
27 Only3440 let your conversation be4176 as it becometh516 the3588 gospel2098 of Christ:5547 that2443 whether1535 I come2064 and2532 see1492 you,5209 or else1535 be absent,548 I may hear191 of your affairs,5216 4012 that3754 ye stand fast4739 in1722 one1520 spirit,4151 with one3391 mind5590 striving together4866 for the3588 faith4102 of the3588 gospel;2098

27 然爾行事、必宜於基督福音、則我或晤對、或暌違、聞爾一心堅立、合意恊力爲福音之道、
|
|
28 And2532 in1722 nothing3367 terrified4426 3361 by5259 your adversaries:480 which3748 is2076 to them846 an3303 evident token1732 of perdition,684 but1161 to you5213 of salvation,4991 and2532 that5124 of575 God.2316
|
28 不爲敵動心、如是、則敵自知必亡、而爾知賴上帝得救、
|
|
29 For3754 unto you5213 it is given5483 in the behalf5228 of Christ,5547 not3756 only3440 to believe4100 on1519 him,846 but235 also2532 to suffer3958 for his sake;5228 846
|
29 爾曹宗基督不第信之且爲之受苦、皆由上帝所賜、
|
|
30 Having2192 the3588 same846 conflict73 which3634 ye saw1492 in1722 me,1698 and2532 now3568 hear191 to be in1722 me.1698

30 我與敵爭、爾素目擊、今復聞之爾曹亦若是、
