1 耶羅波安王十八年，亞比雅登基作猶大王，

|
2 He reigned4427 three7969 years8141 in Jerusalem.3389 His mother's517 name8034 also was Michaiah4322 the daughter1323 of Uriel222 of4480 Gibeah.1390 And there was1961 war4421 between996 Abijah29 and Jeroboam.3379

2 在耶路撒冷作王三年。他母親名叫米該亞［Michaiah］，是基比亞人烏列的女兒。亞比雅常與耶羅波安爭戰。

3 And Abijah29 set631 853 the battle4421 in array with an army2428 of valiant men1368 of war,4421 even four702 hundred3967 thousand505 chosen977 men:376 Jeroboam3379 also set the battle in array6186 4421 against5973 him with eight8083 hundred3967 thousand505 chosen977 men,376 being mighty men1368 of valor.2428

3 有一次亞比雅率領挑選的兵四十萬擺陣，都是勇敢的戰士；耶羅波安也挑選大能的勇士八十萬，對亞比雅擺陣。

4 And Abijah29 stood up6965 upon4480 5921 mount2022 Zemaraim,6787 which834 is in mount2022 Ephraim,669 and said,559 Hear8085 me, thou Jeroboam,3379 and all3605 Israel;3478
|
4 亞比雅站在以法蓮山地中的洗瑪臉山上，說：「耶羅波安和以色列眾人哪，要聽我說。

|
5 Ought ye not3808 to know3045 that3588 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 gave5414 the kingdom4467 over5921 Israel3478 to David1732 forever,5769 even to him and to his sons1121 by a covenant1285 of salt?4417
|
5 耶和華─以色列的神曾立鹽約，將以色列國永遠賜給大衛和他的子孫，你們不知道嗎？
|
|
6 Yet Jeroboam3379 the son1121 of Nebat,5028 the servant5650 of Solomon8010 the son1121 of David,1732 is risen up,6965 and hath rebelled4775 against5921 his lord.113
|
6 無奈大衛兒子所羅門的臣僕、尼八兒子耶羅波安起來背叛他的主人。
|
|
7 And there are gathered6908 unto5921 him vain7386 men,376 the children1121 of Belial,1100 and have strengthened themselves553 against5921 Rehoboam7346 the son1121 of Solomon,8010 when Rehoboam7346 was1961 young5288 and tenderhearted,7390 3824 and could not3808 withstand2388 6440 them.

7 有些匪徒［vain men］，就是彼列的兒女［the children of Belial］聚集跟從他，逞強攻擊所羅門的兒子羅波安；那時羅波安還幼弱，不能抵擋他們。

|
8 And now6258 ye859 think559 to withstand2388 the kingdom4467 of the LORD3068 in the hand3027 of the sons1121 of David;1732 and ye859 be a great7227 multitude,1995 and there are with5973 you golden2091 calves,5695 which834 Jeroboam3379 made6213 you for gods.430

8 「現在你們有意抗拒大衛子孫手下所治耶和華的國，你們的人也甚多，你們那裏又有耶羅波安為你們所造當作眾神的金牛犢。
|
|
9 Have ye not3808 cast out5080 853 the priests3548 of the LORD,3068 853 the sons1121 of Aaron,175 and the Levites,3881 and have made6213 you priests3548 after the manner of the nations5971 of other lands?776 so that whosoever3605 cometh935 to consecrate4390 3027 himself with a young1121 1241 bullock6499 and seven7651 rams,352 the same may be1961 a priest3548 of them that are no3808 gods.430

9 你們不是驅逐耶和華的祭司亞倫的後裔和利未人嗎？不是照著列國［nations］的惡俗為自己立祭司嗎？無論何人牽一隻公牛犢、七隻公綿羊將自己分別出來，就可作虛無之眾神的祭司。

|
10 But as for us,587 the LORD3068 is our God,430 and we have not3808 forsaken5800 him; and the priests,3548 which minister8334 unto the LORD,3068 are the sons1121 of Aaron,175 and the Levites3881 wait upon their business: 4399
|
10 至於我們，耶和華是我們的神，我們並沒有離棄他。我們有事奉耶和華的祭司，都是亞倫的後裔，並有利未人各盡其職，

|
11 And they burn6999 unto the LORD3068 every morning1242 1242 and every evening6153 6153 burnt sacrifices5930 and sweet5561 incense:7004 the shewbread3899 4635 also set they in order upon5921 the pure2889 table;7979 and the candlestick4501 of gold2091 with the lamps5216 thereof, to burn1197 every evening:6153 6153 for3588 we587 keep8104 853 the charge4931 of the LORD3068 our God;430 but ye859 have forsaken5800 him.

11 每日早晚向耶和華獻燔祭，燒美香，又在純［pure］金的桌子上擺陳設餅；又有金燭臺［candlestick］和燈盞，每晚燃［burn］起，因為我們遵守耶和華─我們神的命；唯有你們離棄了他。
|
|
12 And, behold,2009 God430 himself is with5973 us for our captain,7218 and his priests3548 with sounding8643 trumpets2689 to cry alarm7321 against5921 you. O children1121 of Israel,3478 fight3898 ye not408 against5973 the LORD3068 God430 of your fathers;1 for3588 ye shall not3808 prosper.6743

12 看哪［behold］，率領我們的是神，我們這裏也有神的祭司拿號向你們吹出大聲。以色列人哪，不要與耶和華─你們列祖的神爭戰，因你們必不能亨通。」
|
|
13 But Jeroboam3379 caused5437 853 an ambushment3993 to come about935 behind4480 310 them: so they were1961 before6440 Judah,3063 and the ambushment3993 was behind4480 310 them.
|
13 耶羅波安卻在猶大［them］的後頭設伏兵。這樣，以色列人在猶大［Judah］的前頭，伏兵在猶大［them］的後頭。
|
|
14 And when Judah3063 looked back,6437 behold,2009 the battle4421 was before6440 and behind:268 and they cried6817 unto the LORD,3068 and the priests3548 sounded2690 with the trumpets.2689
|
14 猶大［them］回頭觀看，見前後都有敵兵；他們［they］就呼求耶和華，祭司也吹號。
|
|
15 Then the men376 of Judah3063 gave a shout:7321 and as the men376 of Judah3063 shouted,7321 it came to pass,1961 that God430 smote5062 853 Jeroboam3379 and all3605 Israel3478 before6440 Abijah29 and Judah.3063
|
15 於是猶大人吶喊；猶大人吶喊的時候，神就使耶羅波安和以色列眾人敗在亞比雅與猶大［Judah］面前。
|
|
16 And the children1121 of Israel3478 fled5127 before4480 6440 Judah:3063 and God430 delivered5414 them into their hand.3027
|
16 以色列人在猶大［Judah］面前逃跑；神將他們交在猶大人手裏。
|
|
17 And Abijah29 and his people5971 slew5221 them with a great7227 slaughter:4347 so there fell down5307 slain2491 of Israel4480 3478 five2568 hundred3967 thousand505 chosen977 men.376
|
17 亞比雅和他的軍兵大大殺戮以色列人；以色列人仆倒死亡的精兵有五十萬。
|
|
18 Thus the children1121 of Israel3478 were brought under3665 at that1931 time,6256 and the children1121 of Judah3063 prevailed,553 because3588 they relied8172 upon5921 the LORD3068 God430 of their fathers.1
|
18 那時，以色列人被制伏了，猶大人得勝，是因倚靠耶和華─他們列祖的神。
|
|
19 And Abijah29 pursued7291 after310 Jeroboam,3379 and took3920 cities5892 from4480 him,853 Bethel1008 with854 the towns1323 thereof, and Jeshanah3466 with854 the towns1323 thereof, and Ephrain6085 with the towns1323 thereof.
|
19 亞比雅追趕耶羅波安，攻取了他的幾座城，就是伯．特利和屬伯．特利的鎮市，耶沙拿和屬耶沙拿的鎮市，以法拉音［Ephrain］和屬以法拉音的鎮市。
|
|
20 Neither3808 did Jeroboam3379 recover6113 strength3581 again5750 in the days3117 of Abijah:29 and the LORD3068 struck5062 him, and he died.4191
|
20 亞比雅在世的時候，耶羅波安不能再強盛；耶和華攻擊他，他就死了。
|
|
21 But Abijah29 waxed mighty,2388 and married5375 fourteen702 6240 wives,802 and begot3205 twenty6242 and two8147 sons,1121 and sixteen8337 6240 daughters.1323
|
21 亞比雅卻漸漸強盛，娶妻妾十四個，生了二十二個兒子，十六個女兒。
|
|
22 And the rest3499 of the acts1697 of Abijah,29 and his ways,1870 and his sayings,1697 are written3789 in the story4097 of the prophet5030 Iddo.5714
