Chapter 1

1 Now it came to pass1961 in the thirtieth7970 year,8141 in the fourth7243 month, in the fifth2568 day of the month,2320 as I589 was among8432 the captives1473 by5921 the river5104 of Chebar,3529 that the heavens8064 were opened,6605 and I saw7200 visions4759 of God.430

2 In the fifth2568 day of the month,2320 which1931 was the fifth2549 year8141 of king4428 Jehoiachin's3112 captivity,1546

3 The word1697 of the LORD3068 came expressly1961 1961 unto413 Ezekiel3168 the priest,3548 the son1121 of Buzi,941 in the land776 of the Chaldeans3778 by5921 the river5104 Chebar;3529 and the hand3027 of the LORD3068 was1961 there8033 upon5921 him.

4 And I looked,7200 and, behold,2009 a whirlwind7307 5591 came935 out of4480 the north,6828 a great1419 cloud,6051 and a fire784 enfolding itself,3947 and a brightness5051 was about5439 it, and out of the midst4480 8432 thereof as the color5869 of amber,2830 out of the midst4480 8432 of the fire.784

5 Also out of the midst4480 8432 thereof came the likeness1823 of four702 living creatures.2416 And this2088 was their appearance;4758 they2007 had the likeness1823 of a man.120

6 And every one259 had four702 faces,6440 and every one259 had four702 wings.3671

7 And their feet7272 were straight3477 feet;7272 and the sole3709 of their feet7272 was like the sole3709 of a calf's5695 foot:7272 and they sparkled5340 like the color5869 of burnished7044 brass.5178

8 And they had the hands3027 of a man120 under4480 8478 their wings3671 on5921 their four702 sides;7253 and they four702 had their faces6440 and their wings.3671

9 Their wings3671 were joined2266 one802 to413 another;269 they turned5437 not3808 when they went;1980 they went1980 every one376 straight5676 forward.6440

10 As for the likeness1823 of their faces,6440 they four702 had the face6440 of a man,120 and the face6440 of a lion,738 on413 the right side:3225 and they four702 had the face6440 of an ox7794 on the left side;4480 8040 they four702 also had the face6440 of an eagle.5404

11 Thus were their faces:6440 and their wings3671 were stretched6504 upward;4480 4605 two8147 wings of every one376 were joined2266 one to another,376 and two8147 covered3680 853 their bodies.1472

12 And they went1980 every one376 straight5676 forward:6440 whither834 8033 the spirit7307 was1961 to go,1980 they went;1980 and they turned5437 not3808 when they went.1980

13 As for the likeness1823 of the living creatures,2416 their appearance4758 was like burning1197 coals1513 of fire,784 and like the appearance4758 of lamps:3940 it1931 went up and down1980 among996 the living creatures;2416 and the fire784 was bright,5051 and out of4480 the fire784 went forth3318 lightning.1300

14 And the living creatures2416 ran7519 and returned7725 as the appearance4758 of a flash of lightning.965

15 Now as I beheld7200 the living creatures,2416 behold2009 one259 wheel212 upon the earth776 by681 the living creatures,2416 with his four702 faces.6440

16 The appearance4758 of the wheels212 and their work4639 was like unto the color5869 of a beryl:8658 and they four702 had one259 likeness:1823 and their appearance4758 and their work4639 was as834 it were1961 a wheel212 in the middle8432 of a wheel.212

17 When they went,1980 they went1980 upon5921 their four702 sides:7253 and they turned5437 not3808 when they went.1980

18 As for their rings,1354 they were so high1363 that they were dreadful;3374 and their rings1354 were full4392 of eyes5869 round about5439 them four.702

19 And when the living creatures2416 went,1980 the wheels212 went1980 by681 them: and when the living creatures2416 were lifted up5375 from4480 5921 the earth,776 the wheels212 were lifted up.5375

20 Whithersoever5921 834 8033 the spirit7307 was1961 to go,1980 they went,1980 thither8033 was their spirit7307 to go;1980 and the wheels212 were lifted up5375 over against5980 them: for3588 the spirit7307 of the living creature2416 was in the wheels.212

21 When those went,1980 these went;1980 and when those stood,5975 these stood;5975 and when those were lifted up5375 from4480 5921 the earth,776 the wheels212 were lifted up5375 over against5980 them: for3588 the spirit7307 of the living creature2416 was in the wheels.212

22 And the likeness1823 of the firmament7549 upon5921 the heads7218 of the living creature2416 was as the color5869 of the terrible3372 crystal,7140 stretched forth5186 over5921 their heads7218 above.4480 4605

23 And under8478 the firmament7549 were their wings3671 straight,3477 the one802 toward413 the other:269 every one376 had two,8147 which covered3680 on this side,2007 and every one376 had two,8147 which covered3680 on that side,2007 853 their bodies.1472

24 And when they went,1980 I heard8085 853 the noise6963 of their wings,3671 like the noise6963 of great7227 waters,4325 as the voice6963 of the Almighty,7706 the voice6963 of speech,1999 as the noise6963 of a host:4264 when they stood,5975 they let down7503 their wings.3671

25 And there was1961 a voice6963 from4480 5921 the firmament7549 that834 was over5921 their heads,7218 when they stood,5975 and had let down7503 their wings.3671

26 And above4480 4605 the firmament7549 that834 was over5921 their heads7218 was the likeness1823 of a throne,3678 as the appearance4758 of a sapphire5601 stone:68 and upon5921 the likeness1823 of the throne3678 was the likeness1823 as the appearance4758 of a man120 above4480 4605 upon5921 it.

27 And I saw7200 as the color5869 of amber,2830 as the appearance4758 of fire784 round about5439 within1004 it, from the appearance4480 4758 of his loins4975 even upward,4605 and from the appearance4480 4758 of his loins4975 even downward,4295 I saw7200 as it were the appearance4758 of fire,784 and it had brightness5051 round about.5439

28 As the appearance4758 of the bow7198 that834 is1961 in the cloud6051 in the day3117 of rain,1653 so3651 was the appearance4758 of the brightness5051 round about.5439 This1931 was the appearance4758 of the likeness1823 of the glory3519 of the LORD.3068 And when I saw7200 it, I fell5307 upon5921 my face,6440 and I heard8085 a voice6963 of one that spoke.1696

3 в стране халдеев, у потока Кевар, было слово ГОСПОДНЕ священнику Иезекиилю, сыну Бузи, и рука ГОСПОДНЯ коснулась его.

4 И увидел я огромную тучу, которую нес с севера сильный вихрь: в ней сверкали вспышки огня, разливая вокруг сияние, а в самой глуби огня светилось нечто, словно янтарь.

5 И в этой глуби — подобия четырех живых существ, по своему внешнему облику похожих на людей,

6 но было у них по четыре лица и по четыре крыла у каждого.

7 Ноги у них прямые, а ступни — словно бычьи копыта, и они сверкали, словно начищенная бронза.

8 Под крыльями, с четырех сторон, у них были человеческие руки.

9 Лица и крылья у всех четверых были такие: крыльями они касались друг друга. Куда бы ни направлялись существа, им не надо было поворачиваться, они всегда двигались вперед, куда смотрело одно из их лиц.

10 Выглядели лица у всех четырех так: одно лицо — человеческое, справа от него — обличье льва, слева — обличье быка, и еще обличье орла —

11 такие у них лица. Крылья их были распростерты вверх: двумя эти живые существа касались друг друга, а два других крыла прикрывали тело.

12 Каждое из существ могло идти прямо, куда смотрело одно из его лиц, — и куда направлялся Дух, туда они и шли, при движении никуда не сворачивая.

13 Между этими существами было нечто подобное раскаленным углям, словно горящие факелы, движущиеся вперед и назад между существами. Огонь светился, а из огня вырывались молнии.

14 И сами эти существа устремлялись во все стороны с быстротою молнии.

15 Я посмотрел на них и увидел, что перед каждым из этих четырехликих существ на самой земле находилось по колесу.

16 На вид колеса были словно сделаны из топаза, по устройству все четыре были одинаковы: внутри каждого колеса как будто располагалось еще одно колесо.

17 Когда они двигались, они могли двигаться в любую из четырех сторон и при движении не поворачивали.

18 Их ободья были высоки и наводили страх, потому что все они были усеяны глазами.

19 Когда существа шли, подле них двигались и колеса, и когда существа отрывались от земли, отрывались вслед за ними и колеса.

20 Куда бы ни шел Дух, туда шли и живые существа, и куда бы ни направлялся Дух, вместе с ними поднимались и колеса, ибо дух тех существ пребывал в них.

21 Всякий раз, когда существа эти двигались, двигались и колеса, а когда останавливались одни, то останавливались и другие; когда существа поднимались, поднимались с ними и колеса, ибо дух существ пребывал в них.

22 Над головами существ словно был свод, сияющий как кристалл.

23 А под сводом крылья их были простерты, и каждое было напротив другого. У каждого из существ было и два других крыла, которыми они прикрывали свое тело.

24 И когда они двигались, я слышал шум их крыльев, похожий на шум мощных вод, на глас Всесильного и гул, подобный шуму войска. Когда же существа эти остановились, они опустили крылья свои.

25 И когда они стояли, опустив крылья, раздался голос над сводом, что был у них над головами.

26 Там, поверх свода над их головами, было нечто подобное престолу из камня сапфира, и словно бы на престоле восседал Некто, обликом похожий на человека.

27 Я увидел огонь, окружавший Его от пояса и выше, словно бы янтарь, и ниже, вокруг Его ног, я увидел как бы огонь, и всё было залито светом.

28 Это сияние вокруг Него походило на радугу, какая бывает в облаке во время дождя.

4 И увидел я огромную тучу, которую нес с севера сильный вихрь: в ней сверкали вспышки огня, разливая вокруг сияние, а в самой глуби огня светилось нечто, словно янтарь.

5 Also out of the midst4480 8432 thereof came the likeness1823 of four702 living creatures.2416 And this2088 was their appearance;4758 they2007 had the likeness1823 of a man.120

5 И в этой глуби — подобия четырех живых существ, по своему внешнему облику похожих на людей,

6 And every one259 had four702 faces,6440 and every one259 had four702 wings.3671

6 но было у них по четыре лица и по четыре крыла у каждого.

12 Каждое из существ могло идти прямо, куда смотрело одно из его лиц, — и куда направлялся Дух, туда они и шли, при движении никуда не сворачивая.

13 Между этими существами было нечто подобное раскаленным углям, словно горящие факелы, движущиеся вперед и назад между существами. Огонь светился, а из огня вырывались молнии.

14 And the living creatures2416 ran7519 and returned7725 as the appearance4758 of a flash of lightning.965

14 И сами эти существа устремлялись во все стороны с быстротою молнии.

15 Now as I beheld7200 the living creatures,2416 behold2009 one259 wheel212 upon the earth776 by681 the living creatures,2416 with his four702 faces.6440

15 Я посмотрел на них и увидел, что перед каждым из этих четырехликих существ на самой земле находилось по колесу.

16 The appearance4758 of the wheels212 and their work4639 was like unto the color5869 of a beryl:8658 and they four702 had one259 likeness:1823 and their appearance4758 and their work4639 was as834 it were1961 a wheel212 in the middle8432 of a wheel.212

16 На вид колеса были словно сделаны из топаза, по устройству все четыре были одинаковы: внутри каждого колеса как будто располагалось еще одно колесо.

17 When they went,1980 they went1980 upon5921 their four702 sides:7253 and they turned5437 not3808 when they went.1980

17 Когда они двигались, они могли двигаться в любую из четырех сторон и при движении не поворачивали.

18 As for their rings,1354 they were so high1363 that they were dreadful;3374 and their rings1354 were full4392 of eyes5869 round about5439 them four.702

18 Их ободья были высоки и наводили страх, потому что все они были усеяны глазами.

19 And when the living creatures2416 went,1980 the wheels212 went1980 by681 them: and when the living creatures2416 were lifted up5375 from4480 5921 the earth,776 the wheels212 were lifted up.5375

19 Когда существа шли, подле них двигались и колеса, и когда существа отрывались от земли, отрывались вслед за ними и колеса.

20 Whithersoever5921 834 8033 the spirit7307 was1961 to go,1980 they went,1980 thither8033 was their spirit7307 to go;1980 and the wheels212 were lifted up5375 over against5980 them: for3588 the spirit7307 of the living creature2416 was in the wheels.212

20 Куда бы ни шел Дух, туда шли и живые существа, и куда бы ни направлялся Дух, вместе с ними поднимались и колеса, ибо дух тех существ пребывал в них.

21 When those went,1980 these went;1980 and when those stood,5975 these stood;5975 and when those were lifted up5375 from4480 5921 the earth,776 the wheels212 were lifted up5375 over against5980 them: for3588 the spirit7307 of the living creature2416 was in the wheels.212

21 Всякий раз, когда существа эти двигались, двигались и колеса, а когда останавливались одни, то останавливались и другие; когда существа поднимались, поднимались с ними и колеса, ибо дух существ пребывал в них.

22 And the likeness1823 of the firmament7549 upon5921 the heads7218 of the living creature2416 was as the color5869 of the terrible3372 crystal,7140 stretched forth5186 over5921 their heads7218 above.4480 4605

22 Над головами существ словно был свод, сияющий как кристалл.

23 And under8478 the firmament7549 were their wings3671 straight,3477 the one802 toward413 the other:269 every one376 had two,8147 which covered3680 on this side,2007 and every one376 had two,8147 which covered3680 on that side,2007 853 their bodies.1472

23 А под сводом крылья их были простерты, и каждое было напротив другого. У каждого из существ было и два других крыла, которыми они прикрывали свое тело.

24 And when they went,1980 I heard8085 853 the noise6963 of their wings,3671 like the noise6963 of great7227 waters,4325 as the voice6963 of the Almighty,7706 the voice6963 of speech,1999 as the noise6963 of a host:4264 when they stood,5975 they let down7503 their wings.3671

24 И когда они двигались, я слышал шум их крыльев, похожий на шум мощных вод, на глас Всесильного и гул, подобный шуму войска. Когда же существа эти остановились, они опустили крылья свои.

25 And there was1961 a voice6963 from4480 5921 the firmament7549 that834 was over5921 their heads,7218 when they stood,5975 and had let down7503 their wings.3671

25 И когда они стояли, опустив крылья, раздался голос над сводом, что был у них над головами.

26 And above4480 4605 the firmament7549 that834 was over5921 their heads7218 was the likeness1823 of a throne,3678 as the appearance4758 of a sapphire5601 stone:68 and upon5921 the likeness1823 of the throne3678 was the likeness1823 as the appearance4758 of a man120 above4480 4605 upon5921 it.

26 Там, поверх свода над их головами, было нечто подобное престолу из камня сапфира, и словно бы на престоле восседал Некто, обликом похожий на человека.

27 And I saw7200 as the color5869 of amber,2830 as the appearance4758 of fire784 round about5439 within1004 it, from the appearance4480 4758 of his loins4975 even upward,4605 and from the appearance4480 4758 of his loins4975 even downward,4295 I saw7200 as it were the appearance4758 of fire,784 and it had brightness5051 round about.5439

27 Я увидел огонь, окружавший Его от пояса и выше, словно бы янтарь, и ниже, вокруг Его ног, я увидел как бы огонь, и всё было залито светом.

28 As the appearance4758 of the bow7198 that834 is1961 in the cloud6051 in the day3117 of rain,1653 so3651 was the appearance4758 of the brightness5051 round about.5439 This1931 was the appearance4758 of the likeness1823 of the glory3519 of the LORD.3068 And when I saw7200 it, I fell5307 upon5921 my face,6440 and I heard8085 a voice6963 of one that spoke.1696
