2 Возлюбленный, молюсь, чтобы ты во всём преуспевал и здравствовал, как преуспевает душа твоя.

3 For1063 I rejoiced5463 greatly,3029 when the brethren80 came2064 and2532 testified3140 of the3588 truth225 that is in thee,4675 even as2531 thou4771 walkest4043 in1722 the truth.225

3 Ибо я весьма возрадовался, когда приходили братья и свидетельствовали о твоей истине, как ты ходишь в истине.

4 I have2192 no3756 greater3186 joy5479 than5130 to2443 hear191 that my1699 children5043 walk4043 in1722 truth.225

4 Для меня нет большей радости, как слышать, что мои дети ходят в истине.

5 Возлюбленный, ты поступаешь, как верный, во всём, что ты делаешь для братьев, даже чужих,

6 Which3739 have borne witness3140 of thy4675 charity26 before1799 the church:1577 whom3739 if thou bring forward on their journey4311 after a godly sort,516 2316 thou shalt do4160 well: 2573

6 которые засвидетельствовали о твоей любви перед церковью. Ты хорошо сделаешь, если проводишь их, как должно ради Бога.

7 Ибо они ради Имени вышли в путь, ничего не взяв от язычников.

8 We2249 therefore3767 ought3784 to receive618 such,5108 that2443 we might be1096 fellow helpers4904 to the3588 truth.225

9 I wrote1125 unto the3588 church:1577 but235 Diotrephes,1361 who loveth to have the preeminence5383 among them,848 receiveth1926 us2248 not.3756

11 Возлюбленный, не подражай злу, но добру. Кто делает добро, тот от Бога; делающий зло не видел Бога.

12 Demetrius1216 hath good report3140 of5259 all3956 men, and2532 of5259 the3588 truth225 itself:846 yea,1161 and2532 we2249 also bear record;3140 and2532 ye know1492 that3754 our2257 record3141 is2076 true.227

12 Димитрий имеет доброе свидетельство от всех, и от самой истины. Свидетельствуем же и мы; и ты знаешь, что свидетельство наше истинно.

13 Многое имел я написать тебе, но не хочу писать тебе чернилами и тростью;
