Chapter 27

1 Jotham3147 was twenty6242 and five2568 years8141 old1121 when he began to reign,4427 and he reigned4427 sixteen8337 6240 years8141 in Jerusalem.3389 His mother's517 name8034 also was Jerushah,3388 the daughter1323 of Zadok.6659

2 And he did6213 that which was right3477 in the sight5869 of the LORD,3068 according to all3605 that834 his father1 Uzziah5818 did:6213 howbeit7535 he entered935 not3808 into413 the temple1964 of the LORD.3068 And the people5971 did yet corruptly.7843 5750

3 He1931 built1129 853 the high5945 gate8179 of the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and on the wall2346 of Ophel6077 he built1129 much.7230

4 Moreover he built1129 cities5892 in the mountains2022 of Judah,3063 and in the forests2793 he built1129 castles1003 and towers.4026

5 He1931 fought3898 also with5973 the king4428 of the Ammonites,1121 5983 and prevailed2388 against5921 them. And the children1121 of Ammon5983 gave5414 him the same1931 year8141 a hundred3967 talents3603 of silver,3701 and ten6235 thousand505 measures3734 of wheat,2406 and ten6235 thousand505 of barley.8184 So much2063 did the children1121 of Ammon5983 pay7725 unto him, both the second8145 year,8141 and the third.7992

6 So Jotham3147 became mighty,2388 because3588 he prepared3559 his ways1870 before6440 the LORD3068 his God.430

7 Now the rest3499 of the acts1697 of Jotham,3147 and all3605 his wars,4421 and his ways,1870 lo,2009 they are written3789 in5921 the book5612 of the kings4428 of Israel3478 and Judah.3063

8 He was1961 five2568 and twenty6242 years8141 old1121 when he began to reign,4427 and reigned4427 sixteen8337 6240 years8141 in Jerusalem.3389

9 And Jotham3147 slept7901 with5973 his fathers,1 and they buried6912 him in the city5892 of David:1732 and Ahaz271 his son1121 reigned4427 in his stead.8478

1 Йота́м був віку двадцяти й п'яти років, коли зацарював, і шістнадцять літ царював в Єрусалимі. А ім'я́ його матері — Єруша, Садокова дочка́.

2 І робив він уго́дне в Господніх оча́х, усе, що робив був його батько Уззійя. Тільки він не вхо́див до Господнього храму, та народ іще грішив.

3 Він збудував горі́шню браму Господнього дому, і багато побудував на му́рі Офел.

4 І побудува́в він міста́ в Юдиних гора́х, а в лісах побудував тверди́ні та ба́шти.

5 І він воював з царем аммоні́тян, і був сильніший від них. І дали́ йому аммоні́тяни того року сотню талантів срібла, і десять тисяч ко́рів пшениці та десять тисяч ячме́ню. Це дава́ли йому́ аммоні́тяни й року другого та третього.

6 І став сильний Йота́м, бо поправив дороги свої перед лицем Господа, Бога свого.

7 А решта Йотамових діл, і всі ві́йни його та доро́ги його, — ось вони описані в Книзі Царів Ізраїлевих та Юдиних.

8 Він був віку двадцяти й п'яти літ, коли зацарював, і шістнадцять літ царював в Єрусалимі.

9 І спочив Йотам із своїми батька́ми, і поховали його́ в Давидовому Місті, а замість нього зацарював син його Ахаз.
