Romans

Chapter 1

1 PAUL, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, and chosen to proclaim the gospel of God

2 Which was promised from early days by his prophets in the holy scriptures,

3 Concerning his son who was born in the flesh of the seed of the house of David,

4 And who came to be known as the Son of God with power and with the Holy Spirit, because he arose from the dead, and he is Jesus Christ our LORD,

5 And by him we have received grace and apostleship among all the Gentiles, so that they may hear the faith which is under his name,

6 And in which you also are of them, and are called by Jesus Christ;

7 To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called and sanctified: Grace and peace be unto you from God our Father, and from our LORD Jesus Christ.

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith has been heard of throughout the world.

9 For God, whom I serve in spirit in the gospel of his Son, is my witness that unceasingly I make mention of you in my prayers;

10 Beseeching that, if the way is open to me by the will of God, I may come to you.

11 For I long to see you, and to impart to you the gift of the Spirit, in order that you may be strengthened by it,

12 And that we may be comforted together by our mutual faith.

13 Now I want you to know, my brethren, that often I have wanted to come to you, but I have been prevented thus far, that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles,

14 Greeks and Barbarians, the wise and the unwise; for it is my duty to preach to everybody.

15 So I am eager to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believes; whether they are Jews first, or Arameans (Syrians). *

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The righteous shall live by faith.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all the iniquity and wickedness of men who unjustly suppress the truth;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifested to them for God has revealed it unto them.

20 For, from the very creation of the world, the invisible things of God have been clearly seen and understood by his creations, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

21 For they knew God and did not glorify him and give thanks to him as God, but became vain in their imaginations, and their hearts were darkened so that they could not understand.

22 And while they thought within themselves that they were wise, they became fools,

23 And they have changed the glory of the uncorruptible God for an image made in the likeness of corruptible man, and in the likeness of birds, and of four-footed beasts, and of creeping things on the earth.

24 That is why God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:

25 And they have changed the truth of God for lies, and worshipped and served the created things more than their Creator to whom belong glory and blessings for ever. Amen.

26 Therefore God has given them up to vile passions: for even their women have changed the natural use of their sex into that which is unnatural:

27 And likewise also their men have left the natural use of the women and have run wild with lust toward one another, male with male committing shameful acts, and receiving in themselves the due recompense of their error.

28 And as they did not consent in themselves to know God, God has given them over to a weak mind, to do the things which should not be done; as,

29 Being filled with all manner of iniquity, fornication, bitterness, malice, extortion, envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil thoughts,

30 Slanderers, backbiters, haters of God, revilers, proud boasters, inventors of evil things, the weak-minded, disobedient to their parents;

31 These have no respect for a covenant. They know neither love nor peace, nor is there mercy in them;

32 Knowing the judgment of God, that those who commit such things, he condemns to death, they not only do them, but also associate with those who practice them.

Послание апостола Павла христианам в Риме

Глава 1

1 Павел, Иисуса Христа раб, призванный Богом на апостольское служение и на то поставленный, чтобы возвещать Его Благую Весть,

2 которая давно уже обещана Им через Своих пророков в Святых Писаниях, —

3 Весть о Сыне Его, Который по Своей человеческой природе был из рода Давидова,

4 а по духу святости определен быть Сыном Божиим во всей силе Его, как было то явлено через воскресение из мертвых, Весть об Иисусе Христе, Господе нашем,

5 через Которого мы получили благодать и апостольское поручение, дабы во имя Его утвердить идущее от веры послушание среди всех народов,

6 стало быть, и вас, коих тоже призвал Иисус Христос, —

7 всем в Риме, кого любит Бог и кого призвал Он к святости: благодать вам и мир от Бога, Отца нашего, и Господа Иисуса Христа!

8 Начну с благодарности моей за всех вас Богу через Иисуса Христа, потому что весть о вашей вере распространяется по всему миру.

9 Свидетель мне Бог, Которому я служу всем сердцем, возвещая Благую Весть Сына Его, что я всегда вспоминаю о вас,

10 когда в молитвах моих прошу, чтобы удалось мне наконец, по воле Божьей, прийти к вам.

11 Я ведь жажду увидеть вас, чтобы передать вам некое дарование духовное для укрепления вашего в вере,

12 и чтобы мы могли, когда я буду у вас, найти взаимную поддержку в вере друг друга: я — в вашей, вы — в моей.

13 Да будет известно вам, братья, что я не однажды уже собирался прийти к вам (но пока всякий раз наталкивался на препятствия), чтобы и у вас, как это случалось прежде среди других языческих народов, взрастить некий плод.

14 Я перед всеми людьми в долгу: перед греками и варварами, перед мудрыми и неразумными.

15 Поэтому, со своей стороны, я готов проповедовать Благую Весть и вам, живущим в Риме.

16 Я ведь не стыжусь Благой Вести Христовой, ибо она — сила Божия ко спасению всякому верующему: прежде иудею, а затем и язычнику.

17 Потому что в этой Вести открывается праведность Божия, которая через веру дается и к вере ведет; так и в Писании сказано: «Праведный жить будет верою».

18 А на всякое безбожие и нечестие людей, которые угнетают истину своим нечестием, гнев Божий открывается уже предостережением с неба.

19 Ибо всё, что возможно людям знать о Боге, представлено им явно: Сам Бог сделал это для них очевидным.

20 Так что незримое в Нем — вечная сила Его и Божественность — от сотворения мира были ясно видимы разуму во всем созданном Им, не снимается потому с тех людей их вина.

21 Узнав о Боге, они не прославили и не возблагодарили Его как Бога, а предались вместо этого бесплодным умствованиям, и бесчувственные сердца их во тьму погрузились.

22 Хвалясь своей мудростью, они, на самом деле, безумствуют,

23 подменяя славу Бога бессмертного всевозможными изображениями человека, существа тленного, и даже птиц или четвероногих, а то и пресмыкающихся.

24 И Бог оставил их в скверне с похотями их сердец, так что они бесчестят тела свои.

25 Истину Божию они заменили ложью и творению поклоняются и служат вместо Творца, Который Один вовеки достоин поклонения. Аминь.

26 Бог и оставил их поэтому предаваться позорным страстям. Их женщины заменили естественные супружеские связи на противоестественные,

27 подобно им и мужчины, отказавшись от естественных связей с женщиной, разжигаются в похотях своих друг с другом. Мужчины с мужчинами творят бесстыдное и получают за свою извращенность заслуженное возмездие в самих себе.

28 Не захотели они признавать Бога, и Он оставил их в развращенности ума творить непотребное.

29 И погрязли они во всякой греховности, порочности, алчности, злобе; жизнь их полна зависти, убийств, ссор, коварства, злонравия, сплетен.

30 Клеветники, богоненавистники, они наглы, высокомерны, хвастливы, во зле изобретательны, родителям непокорны,

31 безрассудны они, вероломны, не ведают любви и милосердия.

32 И хотя знают, что за такие дела, по справедливому установлению Божьему, обречены на смерть, не только сами они всё это делают, но и других в подобном одобряют.

1 PAUL, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, and chosen to proclaim the gospel of God

1 Павел, Иисуса Христа раб, призванный Богом на апостольское служение и на то поставленный, чтобы возвещать Его Благую Весть,

2 Which was promised from early days by his prophets in the holy scriptures,

4 а по духу святости определен быть Сыном Божиим во всей силе Его, как было то явлено через воскресение из мертвых, Весть об Иисусе Христе, Господе нашем,

5 And by him we have received grace and apostleship among all the Gentiles, so that they may hear the faith which is under his name,

6 And in which you also are of them, and are called by Jesus Christ;

7 To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called and sanctified: Grace and peace be unto you from God our Father, and from our LORD Jesus Christ.

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith has been heard of throughout the world.

8 Начну с благодарности моей за всех вас Богу через Иисуса Христа, потому что весть о вашей вере распространяется по всему миру.

9 For God, whom I serve in spirit in the gospel of his Son, is my witness that unceasingly I make mention of you in my prayers;

9 Свидетель мне Бог, Которому я служу всем сердцем, возвещая Благую Весть Сына Его, что я всегда вспоминаю о вас,

10 Beseeching that, if the way is open to me by the will of God, I may come to you.

10 когда в молитвах моих прошу, чтобы удалось мне наконец, по воле Божьей, прийти к вам.

11 For I long to see you, and to impart to you the gift of the Spirit, in order that you may be strengthened by it,

11 Я ведь жажду увидеть вас, чтобы передать вам некое дарование духовное для укрепления вашего в вере,

12 And that we may be comforted together by our mutual faith.

12 и чтобы мы могли, когда я буду у вас, найти взаимную поддержку в вере друг друга: я — в вашей, вы — в моей.

13 Now I want you to know, my brethren, that often I have wanted to come to you, but I have been prevented thus far, that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles,

13 Да будет известно вам, братья, что я не однажды уже собирался прийти к вам (но пока всякий раз наталкивался на препятствия), чтобы и у вас, как это случалось прежде среди других языческих народов, взрастить некий плод.

14 Greeks and Barbarians, the wise and the unwise; for it is my duty to preach to everybody.

14 Я перед всеми людьми в долгу: перед греками и варварами, перед мудрыми и неразумными.

15 So I am eager to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.

15 Поэтому, со своей стороны, я готов проповедовать Благую Весть и вам, живущим в Риме.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believes; whether they are Jews first, or Arameans (Syrians). *

16 Я ведь не стыжусь Благой Вести Христовой, ибо она — сила Божия ко спасению всякому верующему: прежде иудею, а затем и язычнику.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The righteous shall live by faith.

17 Потому что в этой Вести открывается праведность Божия, которая через веру дается и к вере ведет; так и в Писании сказано: «Праведный жить будет верою».

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all the iniquity and wickedness of men who unjustly suppress the truth;

18 А на всякое безбожие и нечестие людей, которые угнетают истину своим нечестием, гнев Божий открывается уже предостережением с неба.

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifested to them for God has revealed it unto them.

19 Ибо всё, что возможно людям знать о Боге, представлено им явно: Сам Бог сделал это для них очевидным.

20 For, from the very creation of the world, the invisible things of God have been clearly seen and understood by his creations, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

20 Так что незримое в Нем — вечная сила Его и Божественность — от сотворения мира были ясно видимы разуму во всем созданном Им, не снимается потому с тех людей их вина.

21 For they knew God and did not glorify him and give thanks to him as God, but became vain in their imaginations, and their hearts were darkened so that they could not understand.

21 Узнав о Боге, они не прославили и не возблагодарили Его как Бога, а предались вместо этого бесплодным умствованиям, и бесчувственные сердца их во тьму погрузились.

22 And while they thought within themselves that they were wise, they became fools,

22 Хвалясь своей мудростью, они, на самом деле, безумствуют,

23 And they have changed the glory of the uncorruptible God for an image made in the likeness of corruptible man, and in the likeness of birds, and of four-footed beasts, and of creeping things on the earth.

23 подменяя славу Бога бессмертного всевозможными изображениями человека, существа тленного, и даже птиц или четвероногих, а то и пресмыкающихся.

24 И Бог оставил их в скверне с похотями их сердец, так что они бесчестят тела свои.

25 Истину Божию они заменили ложью и творению поклоняются и служат вместо Творца, Который Один вовеки достоин поклонения. Аминь.
