Плач об Иерусалиме

Глава 3

1 Я человек, испытавший горе, потому что Вечный покарал меня жезлом Своего гнева.

2 Он погнал меня и ввёл во тьму, а не в свет.

3 Несомненно, Он обратил Свою руку против меня и обращает её снова и снова в течение всего дня.

4 Он состарил кожу мою и плоть мою, сокрушил кости мои.

5 Он осадил меня и окружил горечью и тяготою.

6 Погрузил меня во мрак, как давно умерших.

7 Окружил меня стеной, чтобы я не мог выйти, заковал меня в тяжёлые цепи.

8 Даже когда я взываю и прошу о помощи, Он не обращает внимания на мою молитву.

9 Камнями Он преградил мне путь, искривил стези мои.

10 Он подобен медведю в засаде или затаившемуся льву.

11 Сбил меня с пути и растерзал меня, оставив без помощи.

12 Натянул Он Свой лук и сделал меня мишенью для стрел Своих.

13 Он пронзил моё сердце стрелами из Своего колчана.

14 Стал я посмешищем для всего моего народа, весь день в песнях насмехаются надо мной.

15 Он напоил меня горькими травами и насытил горечью.

16 Камнями сокрушил зубы мои, втоптал меня в пыль.

17 Лишена душа моя мира, я позабыл о благоденствии.

18 И сказал я: «Исчезло величие моё и надежда моя на Вечного».

19 Помню лишь о страдании и скитании, во мне лишь горечь и желчь.

20 Сильна память об этом, поникла душа моя.

21 Но вот, что говорю я себе, вот, что даёт мне надежду:

22 «Милость Вечного никогда не иссякает, сострадание Его не истощается.

23 Они обновляются каждое утро; велика верность Твоя!»

24 Я сказал себе: «Вечный – часть моя, потому я буду надеяться на Него».

25 Благ Вечный к тем, кто уповает на Него, к тем, кто ищет Его.

26 Благо тому, кто молча ожидает спасения от Вечного.

27 Благо человеку, который несёт ярмо в юности своей.

28 Пусть сидит в уединении и молчании, потому что бремя это возложил на него Вечный.

29 Пусть склонится в смирении, может быть, есть ещё надежда.

30 Пусть подставляет щёку свою бьющему и насыщается бесчестием,

31 ведь Владыка не отвергает людей навеки!

32 И хотя Он посылает страдания,Он же потом и помилует по Своей великой любви.

33 Ведь не по изволению сердца Своего Он приносит бедствие и горе людям.

34 А когда топчут ногами всех узников земли,

35 лишают человека правосудия перед лицом Высочайшего,

36 притесняют человека на суде – разве Владыка всего этого не видит?

37 Кто может сказать – и исполнится, если Владыка не повелит этому случиться?

38 Не по слову ли Высочайшего приходят бедствие и благо?

39 Для чего жаловаться человеку, ведь он остался жив, хоть и был наказан за грехи свои?

40 Проверим же пути наши и испытаем их, и вернёмся к Вечному.

41 Вознесём сердца наши и руки к Всевышнему на небесах и скажем:

42 «Мы согрешили и восстали против тебя, и Ты не простил нас.

43 Ты покрыл Себя гневом и преследовал нас, губя без пощады.

44 Ты скрыл Себя облаком, чтобы не доходила наша молитва.

45 Ты сделал нас грязью и сором среди народов.

46 Все враги наши широко разинули пасть свою на нас.

47 Мы страдали от ужаса и западни, опустошения и разорения».

48 Ручьями слёзы текут из глаз моих, потому что народ мой уничтожен.

49 Слёзы мои будут течь, не останавливаясь, без перерыва,

50 пока Вечный не посмотрит с небес и не увидит.

51 Я смотрю, и горечь наполняет душу мою за всех дочерей моего города.

52 Без причины враги мои пытались поймать меня, словно птицу,

53 бросили меня в яму и камнями закидали меня.

54 Воды сомкнулись над моей головой, и я подумал: «Погиб я».

55 Я воззвал к имени Твоему, о Вечный, из ямы глубокой.

56 Ты услышал голос мой; не закрывай же ухо Своё от моей мольбы и плача моего.

57 Ты приближался, когда я взывал к Тебе, и говорил: «Не бойся».

58 О Владыка, Ты защищал дело души моей, искуплял жизнь мою.

59 Ты видишь, Вечный, угнетение моё, рассуди же тяжбу мою.

60 Ты видишь всю их мстительность, все их заговоры против меня.

61 О Вечный, Ты слышишь их оскорбления, все их заговоры против меня,

62 как враги перешёптываются обо мне весь день.

63 Взгляни на них! Сидят ли они, стоят ли, они насмехаются надо мною в своих песнях.

64 Воздай им, Вечный, по делам их рук.

65 Мраком покрой их сердца, и пусть проклятие Твоё будет на них.

66 Преследуй их в гневе и истреби их из поднебесья, о Вечный.

Lamentations

Chapter 3

1 O MIGHTY God, see my affliction; I am chastised by the rod of his wrath.

2 He has led me, but I walked in darkness and not in light.

3 But surely is he turned against me, he turns his hand against me all the day.

4 My flesh and my skin he has made old; he has broken my bones.

5 He has built ramparts against me, and compassed me with bitterness and travail.

6 He has made me to dwell in darkness, like a dead man for ever.

7 He has hedged me about, that I cannot escape; he has made my chains heavy.

8 Though I beseech and pray, he does not hearken to my prayer.

9 He has enclosed my ways with thorns, he has made my paths crooked.

10 He has been to me as a wolf lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.

11 He has made my ways crooked, and cut me to pieces; he has made me desolate.

12 He has bent his bow, and set me up as a mark for the arrow.

13 Behold, he has caused his arrows to enter into my reins.

14 I have become the ridicule of all nations; and their scoffing song all the day.

15 He has filled me with bitterness, he has made me drunken with wormwood.

16 He has broken my teeth with a stone, he has covered me with ashes.

17 My soul has gone astray from peace, I have forgotten prosperity.

18 And I said, My fame and my hope are perished from the LORD.

19 Remember my affliction and my chastisement, the bitterness and the sorrow.

20 Remember and restore my life.

21 This I recall to mind; therefore I have hope in God.

22 Surely the kindness of the LORD never ceases and his mercies never fail.

23 They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.

24 The LORD is my portion, says my soul; therefore I will hope in him.

25 The LORD is good to him who waits for him, to the soul that seeks him.

26 It is good for a man that he should hope for both the truth and the salvation of the LORD.

27 It is good for a man that he bear thy yoke in his youth.

28 Let him sit alone and keep silence, because he has laid thy yoke upon him.

29 Let him humble himself, for there is hope.

30 Let him turn his cheek to him that smites him; let him be filled with reproach.

31 For the LORD will not forget for ever.

32 But though he cause affliction, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

33 For he does not afflict willingly, but he afflicts the children of the mighty men,

34 To subdue under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,

35 To turn aside the right of a man toward the face of the Most High.

36 To subvert a man in his cause, the LORD does not approve.

37 Who is he that says, and it comes to pass, when the LORD has not commanded it?

38 Out of the mouth of the Most High evil and good do not come.

39 Therefore, why should a living man question concerning punishment for his sins?

40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

41 Let us lift up our hearts with our hands to God in heaven.

42 We have transgressed and rebelled; and thou hast not pardoned.

43 Thou hast covered us with thy anger and pursued us; thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

44 Thou hast covered thyself with thy cloud; thou hast let our prayer pass by.

45 Thou hast made us uprooted and despised among the peoples.

46 My eyes run down with tears and do not cease, because there is no comforter,

47 Till the LORD look down and behold from heaven.

48 My eyes are worn with tears because of the destruction of all the daughters of the cities of my people.

49 All our enemies speak evil against us.

50 Fear and trembling have come upon us, a snare and destruction.

51 I wept vehemently over the destruction of the daughter of my people.

52 My enemies have hunted me like a bird, without cause.

53 They have cut off my life in a pit; they cast stones at me.

54 Water flowed over my head; then I said, I am cast far off.

55 I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the depths of the pit.

56 Thou didst hear my voice; turn not thine ear to my cry; but relieve me and save me.

57 Thou didst draw near in the day when I called upon thee; thou didst say, Fear not.

58 O LORD, thou hast pleaded my cause; thou hast saved my life.

59 O LORD, thou hast seen my affliction; thou hast judged my cause.

60 Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me.

61 Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and their devices against me,

62 The lips of those who rose up against me and their devices against me all day long.

63 Behold their conduct and their behavior I do understand, because of their devices.

64 Render to them a recompense, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.

65 Give them sorrow of heart; let thy affliction pursue them.

66 Destroy them in thine anger from under thy heavens, O LORD.

3 Несомненно, Он обратил Свою руку против меня и обращает её снова и снова в течение всего дня.	3 But surely is he turned against me, he turns his hand against me all the day.
4 Он состарил кожу мою и плоть мою, сокрушил кости мои.	4 My flesh and my skin he has made old; he has broken my bones.

13 Он пронзил моё сердце стрелами из Своего колчана.	13 Behold, he has caused his arrows to enter into my reins.
14 Стал я посмешищем для всего моего народа, весь день в песнях насмехаются надо мной.	14 I have become the ridicule of all nations; and their scoffing song all the day.
15 Он напоил меня горькими травами и насытил горечью.	15 He has filled me with bitterness, he has made me drunken with wormwood.
16 Камнями сокрушил зубы мои, втоптал меня в пыль.	16 He has broken my teeth with a stone, he has covered me with ashes.
17 Лишена душа моя мира, я позабыл о благоденствии.	17 My soul has gone astray from peace, I have forgotten prosperity.
18 И сказал я: «Исчезло величие моё и надежда моя на Вечного».	18 And I said, My fame and my hope are perished from the LORD.
19 Помню лишь о страдании и скитании, во мне лишь горечь и желчь.	19 Remember my affliction and my chastisement, the bitterness and the sorrow.
20 Сильна память об этом, поникла душа моя.	20 Remember and restore my life.
21 Но вот, что говорю я себе, вот, что даёт мне надежду:	21 This I recall to mind; therefore I have hope in God.
22 «Милость Вечного никогда не иссякает, сострадание Его не истощается.	22 Surely the kindness of the LORD never ceases and his mercies never fail.
23 Они обновляются каждое утро; велика верность Твоя!»	23 They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.
24 Я сказал себе: «Вечный – часть моя, потому я буду надеяться на Него».	24 The LORD is my portion, says my soul; therefore I will hope in him.
25 Благ Вечный к тем, кто уповает на Него, к тем, кто ищет Его.	25 The LORD is good to him who waits for him, to the soul that seeks him.
26 Благо тому, кто молча ожидает спасения от Вечного.	26 It is good for a man that he should hope for both the truth and the salvation of the LORD.
27 Благо человеку, который несёт ярмо в юности своей.	27 It is good for a man that he bear thy yoke in his youth.
28 Пусть сидит в уединении и молчании, потому что бремя это возложил на него Вечный.	28 Let him sit alone and keep silence, because he has laid thy yoke upon him.

33 Ведь не по изволению сердца Своего Он приносит бедствие и горе людям.	33 For he does not afflict willingly, but he afflicts the children of the mighty men,
34 А когда топчут ногами всех узников земли,	34 To subdue under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
35 лишают человека правосудия перед лицом Высочайшего,	35 To turn aside the right of a man toward the face of the Most High.
36 притесняют человека на суде – разве Владыка всего этого не видит?	36 To subvert a man in his cause, the LORD does not approve.
37 Кто может сказать – и исполнится, если Владыка не повелит этому случиться?	37 Who is he that says, and it comes to pass, when the LORD has not commanded it?
38 Не по слову ли Высочайшего приходят бедствие и благо?	38 Out of the mouth of the Most High evil and good do not come.
39 Для чего жаловаться человеку, ведь он остался жив, хоть и был наказан за грехи свои?	39 Therefore, why should a living man question concerning punishment for his sins?
40 Проверим же пути наши и испытаем их, и вернёмся к Вечному.	40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
41 Вознесём сердца наши и руки к Всевышнему на небесах и скажем:	41 Let us lift up our hearts with our hands to God in heaven.
42 «Мы согрешили и восстали против тебя, и Ты не простил нас.	42 We have transgressed and rebelled; and thou hast not pardoned.
43 Ты покрыл Себя гневом и преследовал нас, губя без пощады.	43 Thou hast covered us with thy anger and pursued us; thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.
