Глава 12

1 Между тем Иегова сказал Авраму: пойди из земли твоей, с родины твоей, и из дома отца твоего, в землю, которую укажу тебе.

2 И Я произведу от тебя великий народ, и благословлю тебя, и возвеличу имя твое; и будь ты в благословение.

3 Я благословлю и благословляющих тебя, а злословящих тебя прокляну; и благословятся в тебе все племена земные.

4 И пошел Аврам, как сказал ему Иегова; и с ним пошел Лот. Семьдесят пять лет от роду было Авраму, когда он вышел из Харрана.

5 Аврам взял с собою жену свою Сару, племянника своего Лота, все имение, приобретенное ими, и всех людей, которых они имели в Харране, и пошли в землю Ханаанскую; и пришли в землю Ханаанскую.

6 По земле сей Аврам прошел, до места Сихема, до дубравы Море. В земле сей тогда жили Хананеи.

7 И явился Иегова Авраму, и сказал: потомству твоему отдам Я землю сию; и тут создал Аврам жертвенник Иегове, который явился ему.

8 Оттуда двинулся он к горе, лежащей на восток от Вефиля; и поставил шатер свой так, что у него Вефиль был от запада, а Гай от востока. Он создал и тут жертвенник Иегове, и призвал имя Иеговы.

9 Потом Аврам поднялся, и продолжал идти к полудню.

10 И был голод в земле той. И пошел Аврам в Египет, пожить там; потому что усилился голод в земле той.

11 Когда же он приближался к Египту, то сказал Саре, жене своей: вот я знаю, что ты женщина прекрасная видом;

12 Может быть, Египтяне, увидев тебя, скажут: это жена его, - и убьют меня, а тебя оставят в живых;

13 Итак, скажи, что ты мне сестра, дабы мне хорошо было ради тебя, и дабы сохранилась жизнь моя чрез тебя.

14 Так и случилось, что, когда пришел Аврам в Египет, Египтяне увидели, что это женщина весьма прекрасная;

15 Увидели ее также вельможи Фараоновы, и похвалили ее Фараону; почему она и взята в дом Фараонов.

16 Авраму же хорошо было ради нее; и был у него мелкий и крупный скот, ослы, и рабы и рабыни, и ослицы и верблюды.

17 Но Иегова тяжкими ударами поразил Фараона и дом его за Сару, жену Аврамову.

18 Посему Фараон призвал Аврама, и сказал: что ты это сделал надо мною? для чего не сказал мне, что это жена твоя?

19 Для чего ты сказал: это сестра моя? и я взял было ее себе в жену. Итак, теперь вот тебе жена твоя; возьми, и пойди.

20 И приказал Фараон людям, чтобы проводили его, и жену его, и все, что у него было.

Chapter 12

1 NOW the LORD said to Abram, Depart from your country, and from the place of your nativity, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you;

2 And I will make of you a great people, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing;

3 And I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you: and in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram did as the LORD had spoken to him; and Lot went with him; and Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son and all their possessions which they had gained and the persons that they had gotten in Haran, and they went on their way to the land of Canaan, and to the land of Canaan they came.

6 And Abram passed through the land as far as the country of Shechem, and as far as the oak of Mamre. And the Canaanites were settled then in the land.

7 Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, To your descendants will I give this land; and Abram built there an altar to the LORD, for he had appeared to him.

8 And from thence he removed to a mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the LORD and called upon the name of the LORD,

9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

10 Now there was a famine in the land; so Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was severe in the land.

11 And it came to pass when he was about to enter into Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that you are a woman beautiful to look upon;

12 And it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians see you, they will say, This is his wife; and they will kill me, but they will spare you.

13 Say, therefore, that you are my sister because I will be treated well for your sake; and my life shall be spared because of you.

14 And it came to pass when Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that his wife was very beautiful.

15 The princes of Pharaoh also saw her and praised her before Pharaoh; and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.

16 And Abram was well treated for her sake; and he became the owner of sheep, oxen, he asses, menservants, maidservants, she asses, and camels.

17 And the LORD afflicted Pharaoh and his household with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.

18 So Pharaoh called Abram, and said to him, What is this that you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?

19 Why did you say, She is my sister, so that I took her for my wife? Now, therefore, here is your wife, take her, and leave the country.

20 And Pharaoh charged his men concerning him; and sent him away together with his wife, and all that he had.

1 Между тем Иегова сказал Авраму: пойди из земли твоей, с родины твоей, и из дома отца твоего, в землю, которую укажу тебе.

1 NOW the LORD said to Abram, Depart from your country, and from the place of your nativity, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you;

4 И пошел Аврам, как сказал ему Иегова; и с ним пошел Лот. Семьдесят пять лет от роду было Авраму, когда он вышел из Харрана.

4 So Abram did as the LORD had spoken to him; and Lot went with him; and Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

5 Аврам взял с собою жену свою Сару, племянника своего Лота, все имение, приобретенное ими, и всех людей, которых они имели в Харране, и пошли в землю Ханаанскую; и пришли в землю Ханаанскую.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son and all their possessions which they had gained and the persons that they had gotten in Haran, and they went on their way to the land of Canaan, and to the land of Canaan they came.

6 По земле сей Аврам прошел, до места Сихема, до дубравы Море. В земле сей тогда жили Хананеи.

9 Потом Аврам поднялся, и продолжал идти к полудню.

9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

10 И был голод в земле той. И пошел Аврам в Египет, пожить там; потому что усилился голод в земле той.

10 Now there was a famine in the land; so Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was severe in the land.

11 Когда же он приближался к Египту, то сказал Саре, жене своей: вот я знаю, что ты женщина прекрасная видом;

11 And it came to pass when he was about to enter into Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that you are a woman beautiful to look upon;

12 Может быть, Египтяне, увидев тебя, скажут: это жена его, - и убьют меня, а тебя оставят в живых;

12 And it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians see you, they will say, This is his wife; and they will kill me, but they will spare you.

13 Итак, скажи, что ты мне сестра, дабы мне хорошо было ради тебя, и дабы сохранилась жизнь моя чрез тебя.

13 Say, therefore, that you are my sister because I will be treated well for your sake; and my life shall be spared because of you.

14 Так и случилось, что, когда пришел Аврам в Египет, Египтяне увидели, что это женщина весьма прекрасная;

14 And it came to pass when Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that his wife was very beautiful.

15 Увидели ее также вельможи Фараоновы, и похвалили ее Фараону; почему она и взята в дом Фараонов.

18 Посему Фараон призвал Аврама, и сказал: что ты это сделал надо мною? для чего не сказал мне, что это жена твоя?

18 So Pharaoh called Abram, and said to him, What is this that you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?

19 Для чего ты сказал: это сестра моя? и я взял было ее себе в жену. Итак, теперь вот тебе жена твоя; возьми, и пойди.

19 Why did you say, She is my sister, so that I took her for my wife? Now, therefore, here is your wife, take her, and leave the country.

20 И приказал Фараон людям, чтобы проводили его, и жену его, и все, что у него было.

20 And Pharaoh charged his men concerning him; and sent him away together with his wife, and all that he had.
