5 For this5127 cause5484 left2641 I you in Crete,2914 that you should set1930 in order1930 the things that are wanting,3007 and ordain2525 elders4245 in every2596 city,4172 as I had appointed1299 you:

6 If1487 any1536 be blameless,410 the husband435 of one3391 wife,1135 having2192 faithful4103 children5043 not accused1722 2724 of riot810 or2228 unruly.506

7 For a bishop1985 must1163 be blameless,410 as the steward3622 of God;2316 not self-willed,829 not soon3711 angry,3711 not given3943 to wine,3943 no3361 striker,4131 not given to filthy150 lucre;146

8 но235 страннолюбив,5382 любящий добро,5358 целомудрен,4998 справедлив,1342 благочестив,3741 воздержан,1468
|
8 But a lover5382 of hospitality,5382 a lover5358 of good5358 men, sober,4998 just,1342 holy,3741 temperate;1468
|

9 держащийся4723588 истинного4103 слова,3056 согласного25963588 с учением,1322 чтоб2443 он был5600 силен1415 и2532 наставлять3870 в17223588 здравом5198 учении1319 и3588 противящихся483 обличать.1651

9 Holding472 fast472 the faithful4103 word3056 as he has been taught,1322 that he may be able1415 by sound5198 doctrine1319 both2532 to exhort3870 and to convince1651 the disputers.483

10 Ибо1063 есть1526 много4183 и2532 непокорных,506 пустословов3151 и2532 обманщиков,5423 особенно31223588 из1537 обрезанных,4061

10 For there are many4183 unruly506 and vain3151 talkers3151 and deceivers,5423 specially3122 they of the circumcision:4061

11 каковым3739 должно1163 заграждать уста:1993 они3748 развращают396 целые3650 домы,3624 уча,1321 чему3739 не3361 должно,1163 из5484 постыдной150 корысти.2771

11 Whose3739 mouths1993 must1163 be stopped,1993 who3748 subvert396 whole3650 houses,3624 teaching1321 things which3739 they ought1163 not, for filthy150 lucre's2771 sake.

12 Из1537 них846 же самих2398846 один5100 стихотворец4396 сказал:2036 «Критяне2912 всегда104 лжецы,5583 злые2556 звери,2342 утробы1064 ленивые».692

12 One5100 of themselves,846 even a prophet4396 of their own,2398 said,2036 The Cretians2912 are always104 liars,5583 evil2556 beasts,2342 slow692 bellies.1064

13 3588 Свидетельство3141 это37782076 справедливо.227 По1223 сей3739 причине156 обличай1651 их846 строго,664 дабы2443 они были здравы5198 в17223588 вере,4102
|
13 This3778 witness3141 is true.227 Why1223 3739 rebuke1651 them sharply,664 that they may be sound5198 in the faith;4102
|
|
14 не3361 внимая4337 Иудейским2451 басням3454 и2532 постановлениям1785 людей,444 отвращающихся654 от3588 истины.225
|
14 Not giving heed4337 to Jewish2451 fables,3454 and commandments1785 of men,444 that turn654 from the truth.225
|
|
15 Для3588 чистых2513 все39563303 чисто;2513 а1161 для3588 оскверненных3392 и2532 неверных571 нет ничего3762 чистого,2513 но235 осквернены3392 и3588 ум3563 их846 и3588 совесть.4893

15 To the pure2513 all3956 things are pure:2513 but to them that are defiled3392 and unbelieving571 is nothing3762 pure;2513 but even2532 their mind3563 and conscience4893 is defiled.3392

16 Они говорят,3670 что знают1492 Бога;2316 а1161 делами2041 отрекаются,720 будучи5607 гнусны947 и2532 непокорны545 и2532 неспособны96 ни к4314 какому3956 доброму18 делу.2041

16 They profess3670 that they know1492 God;2316 but in works2041 they deny720 him, being5607 abominable,947 and disobedient,545 and to every3956 good18 work2041 reprobate.96
