2 Und Ahasja274 fiel5307 durchs Gitter7639 in seinem Saal zu2421 Samaria8111 und ward krank2470; und sandte7971 Boten4397 und sprach559 zu ihnen: Gehet hin3212 und fraget1875 Baal-Sebub1176, den GOtt430 zu Ekron6138, ob ich von dieser Krankheit2483 genesen werde.

2 And Ahaziah274 fell5307 down through1157 a lattice7639 in his upper5944 chamber5944 that was in Samaria,8111 and was sick:2470 and he sent7971 messengers,4397 and said559 to them, Go,3212 inquire1875 of Baalzebub1176 the god430 of Ekron6138 whether518 I shall recover2421 of this2088 disease.2483

3 Aber der Engel4397 des HErrn3068 redete1696 mit Elia452, dem Thisbiten: Auf6965! und begegne7125 den Boten4397 des Königs4428 zu1980 Samaria8111 und sprich zu ihnen: Ist1696 denn nun kein GOtt430 in Israel3478, daß ihr hingehet zu fragen1875 Baal-Sebub1176, den GOtt430 zu Ekron6138?

3 But the angel4397 of the LORD3068 said1696 to Elijah452 the Tishbite,8664 Arise,6965 go5927 up to meet7125 the messengers4397 of the king4428 of Samaria,8111 and say1696 to them, Is it not because there is not a God430 in Israel,3478 that you go1980 to inquire1875 of Baalzebub1176 the god430 of Ekron?6138

4 Darum so spricht der HErr3068: Du559 sollst nicht von dem Bette4296 kommen3381, darauf du dich3212 geleget hast, sondern sollst des Todes4191 sterben4191. Und Elia452 ging5927 weg.

4 Now therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 You shall not come3381 down3381 from that bed4296 on which834 you are gone5927 up, but shall surely3588 die.4191 And Elijah452 departed.3212

5 Und da die Boten4397 wieder7725 zu ihm kamen, sprach559 er zu ihnen: Warum2088 kommt ihr wieder7725?

6 Sie559 sprachen559 zu ihm: Es kam5927 uns ein Mann376 herauf5927 entgegen7125 und sprach559 zu uns: Gehet wiederum7725 hin3212 zu dem Könige4428, der euch gesandt7971 hat1696, und sprechet zu ihm: So spricht der HErr3068: Ist denn kein GOtt430 in Israel3478, daß du hinsendest, zu fragen1875 Baal-Sebub1176, den GOtt430 zu Ekron6138? Darum sollst du nicht kommen7971 von dem Bette4296, darauf du dich3381 geleget hast5927, sondern sollst des Todes4191 sterben4191.

6 And they said559 to him, There came5927 a man376 up to meet7125 us, and said559 to us, Go,3212 turn7725 again7725 to the king4428 that sent7971 you, and say1696 to him, Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 Is it not because there is not a God430 in Israel,3478 that you send7971 to inquire1875 of Baalzebub1176 the god430 of Ekron?6138 therefore3651 you shall not come3381 down3381 from that bed4296 on which834 you are gone5927 up, but shall surely3588 die.4191

8 Sie sprachen559 zu ihm: Er376 hatte eine rauche Haut5785 an und einen ledernen Gürtel232 um seine Lenden4975. Er aber sprach559: Es ist Elia452, der Thisbiter8664.

8 And they answered559 him, He was an hairy1167 8181 man,376 and girt247 with a girdle232 of leather5785 about his loins.4975 And he said,559 It is Elijah452 the Tishbite.8664

9 Und er4428 sandte7971 hin zu ihm einen Hauptmann8269 über fünfzig2572 samt denselben Fünfzigen2572. Und da der zu ihm hinaufkam, siehe, da saß3427 er oben7218 auf5927 dem Berge2022. Er aber sprach1696 zu ihm: Du Mann376 Gottes430, der König4428 sagt: Du sollst1696 herabkommen3381.

10 And Elijah452 answered6030 and said1696 to the captain8269 of fifty,2572 If518 I be a man376 of God,430 then let fire784 come3381 down3381 from heaven,8064 and consume398 you and your fifty.2572 And there came3381 down3381 fire784 from heaven,8064 and consumed398 him and his fifty.2572

11 Und er sandte7971 wiederum7725 einen andern312 Hauptmann8269 über fünfzig2572 zu ihm samt seinen Fünfzigen2572. Der antwortete6030 und sprach1696 zu ihm: Du559 Mann376 Gottes430, so spricht der König4428: Komm eilends4120 herab3381!

13 Da sandte7971 er wiederum7725 den dritten7992 Hauptmann8269 über8269 fünfzig2572 samt seinen Fünfzigen. Da der zu ihm5869 hinaufkam5927, beugte3766 er seine Kniee1290 gegen Elia452 und935 flehete ihm und sprach1696 zu ihm: Du Mann376 Gottes430, laß meine See LE5315 und die See LE5315 deiner Knechte5650, dieser Fünfzig, vor5048 dir etwas gelten3365!

14 Siehe, das Feuer784 ist8147 vom Himmel8064 gefallen3381 und hat die3381 ersten7223 zween Hauptmänner über8269 fünfzig2572 mit ihren Fünfzigen2572 gefressen398; nun aber laß meine See LE5315 etwas gelten3365 vor5869 dir!

14 Behold,2009 there came3381 fire784 down3381 from heaven,8064 and burnt398 up the two8147 captains8269 of the former7223 fifties2572 with their fifties:2572 therefore let my life5315 now6258 be precious3365 in your sight.5869

15 Da sprach1696 der Engel4397 des HErrn3068 zu Elia452: Gehe mit ihm hinab3381 und fürchte3372 dich nicht vor ihm! Und er machte sich6965 auf6440 und ging mit ihm hinab3381 zum Könige4428.

16 Und er sprach559 zu ihm: So spricht der HErr3068: Darum, daß du hast5927 Boten4397 hingesandt und lassen7971 fragen1875 Baal-Sebub1176, den GOtt430 zu Ekron6138, als wäre kein GOtt430 in Israel3478, des Wort1697 man fragen1875 möchte, so sollst1696 du von dem Bette4296 nicht kommen3381, darauf du dich geleget hast, sondern sollst des Todes4191 sterben4191.

17 Also starb4191 er nach dem Wort1697 des HErrn3068, das Elia452 geredet hatte1696. Und3092 Joram3088 ward König4427 an seiner Statt im andern Jahr8141 Jorams3088, des Sohns Josaphats, des Königs4428 Judas; denn er hatte keinen Sohn1121.

17 So he died4191 according to the word1697 of the LORD3068 which834 Elijah452 had spoken.1696 And Jehoram3088 reigned4427 in his stead8478 in the second8147 year8141 of Jehoram3088 the son1121 of Jehoshaphat3092 king4428 of Judah;3063 because3588 he had1961 no3808 son.1121
