1 猶大王約西亞子約雅金四年、尼利亞子巴錄以耶利米所言、筆之於書、

2 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 the God430 of Israel,3478 unto5921 thee, O Baruch;1263

2 厥後先知耶利米、以以色列族上帝耶和華之言、傳於巴錄、曰、

3 Thou didst say,559 Woe188 is me now!4994 for3588 the LORD3068 hath added3254 grief3015 to5921 my sorrow;4341 I fainted3021 in my sighing,585 and I find4672 no3808 rest.4496

3 爾常言、嗚呼、耶和華增我憂愁、恐懼歔欷、不獲平康。

4 Thus3541 shalt thou say559 unto413 him, The LORD3068 saith559 thus;3541 Behold,2009 that which834 I have built1129 will I589 break down,2040 and that which834 I have planted5193 I589 will pluck up,5428 even this1931 whole3605 land.776

4 惟我耶和華告爾、曰、昔予建造斯邦、加以栽植、

5 And seekest1245 thou859 great things1419 for thyself? seek1245 them not:408 for,3588 behold,2009 I will bring935 evil7451 upon5921 all3605 flesh,1320 saith5002 the LORD:3068 but853 thy life5315 will I give5414 unto thee for a prey7998 in5921 all3605 places4725 whither834 8033 thou goest.1980

5 後必殲滅、拔其根株、爾勿爲己圖維大事、蓋我耶和華必降災於億兆、惟爾隨在可往、得救生命、我使之然。
