1 約旦河西亞摩利人的諸王和靠海迦南人的諸王，聽見耶和華在以色列人前面使約旦河的水乾了，等到我們過去，他們的心靈［spirit］因以色列人的緣故就融化［melted］了，不再有膽氣。

2 那時，耶和華對［said unto］約書亞說：「你製造利［sharp］刀，第二次給以色列人行割禮。」

3 And Joshua3091 made6213 him sharp6864 knives,2719 and circumcised4135 853 the children1121 of Israel3478 at413 the hill1389 of the foreskins.6190

3 約書亞就製造了利［sharp］刀，在「除皮山」那裏給以色列人行割禮。
|
|
4 And this2088 is the cause1697 why834 Joshua3091 did circumcise:4135 All3605 the people5971 that came out3318 of Egypt,4480 4714 that were males,2145 even all3605 the men376 of war,4421 died4191 in the wilderness4057 by the way,1870 after they came out3318 of Egypt.4480 4714

4 約書亞行割禮的緣故，是因為從埃及出來的眾民，就是一切能打仗的男丁，出了埃及以後，都死在曠野的路上。

5 Now3588 all3605 the people5971 that came out3318 were1961 circumcised:4135 but all3605 the people5971 that were born3209 in the wilderness4057 by the way1870 as they came forth3318 out of Egypt,4480 4714 them they had not3808 circumcised.4135

5 因為出來的眾民都受過割禮；唯獨出埃及以後、在曠野的路上所生的眾民都沒有受過割禮。

6 For3588 the children1121 of Israel3478 walked1980 forty705 years8141 in the wilderness,4057 till5704 all3605 the people1471 that were men376 of war,4421 which came out3318 of Egypt,4480 4714 were consumed,8552 because834 they obeyed8085 not3808 the voice6963 of the LORD:3068 unto whom834 the LORD3068 swore7650 that he would not1115 show7200 them853 the land,776 which834 the LORD3068 swore7650 unto their fathers1 that he would give5414 us, a land776 that floweth2100 with milk2461 and honey.1706

6 以色列人在曠野走了四十年，等到國民，就是出埃及的兵丁，都消滅了，因為他們沒有聽從耶和華的話。耶和華曾向他們起誓，必不容他們看見耶和華向他們列祖起誓、應許賜給我們的地，就是流奶與蜜之地。

7 And their children,1121 whom he raised up6965 in their stead,8478 them Joshua3091 circumcised:4135 for3588 they were1961 uncircumcised,6189 because3588 they had not3808 circumcised4135 them by the way.1870
|
7 他們的子孫，就是耶和華所興起來接續他們的，都沒有受過割禮；因為在路上沒有給他們行割禮，約書亞這才給他們行了。

8 And it came to pass,1961 when834 they had done8552 circumcising4135 all3605 the people,1471 that they abode3427 in their places8478 in the camp,4264 till5704 they were whole.2421

8 國民都受完了割禮，就住在營中自己的地方，等到痊癒了。
|
|
9 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Joshua,3091 This day3117 have I rolled away1556 853 the reproach2781 of Egypt4714 from off4480 5921 you. Wherefore the name8034 of the place4725 is called7121 Gilgal1537 unto5704 this2088 day.3117

9 耶和華對約書亞說：「我今日將埃及的羞辱從你們身上滾去了。」因此，那地方名叫吉甲，直到今日。

|
10 And the children1121 of Israel3478 encamped2583 in Gilgal,1537 and kept6213 853 the passover6453 on the fourteenth702 6240 day3117 of the month2320 at even6153 in the plains6160 of Jericho.3405

10 以色列人在吉甲安營。正月十四日晚上，在耶利哥的平原守逾越節。

|
11 And they did eat398 of the old corn4480 5669 of the land776 on the morrow after4480 4283 the passover,6453 unleavened cakes,4682 and parched7033 corn in the selfsame6106 2088 day.3117
|
11 逾越節的次日，他們就吃了那地的出產；正當那日吃無酵餅和烘的穀。

12 And the manna4478 ceased7673 on the morrow4480 4283 after they had eaten398 of the old corn4480 5669 of the land;776 neither3808 had1961 the children1121 of Israel3478 manna4478 any more;5750 but they did eat398 of the fruit4480 8393 of the land776 of Canaan3667 that1931 year.8141

12 他們吃了那地的出產，第二天嗎哪就止住了，以色列人也不再有嗎哪了。那一年，他們卻吃迦南地的出產。

13 And it came to pass,1961 when Joshua3091 was1961 by Jericho,3405 that he lifted up5375 his eyes5869 and looked,7200 and, behold,2009 there stood5975 a man376 over against5048 him with his sword2719 drawn8025 in his hand:3027 and Joshua3091 went1980 unto him,413 and said559 unto him, Art thou859 for us, or518 for our adversaries?6862

13 約書亞靠近耶利哥的時候，舉目觀看，不料，有一個人手裏有拔出來的刀，對面站立。約書亞到他那裏，問他說：「你是幫助我們呢，是幫助我們敵人呢？」

14 And he said,559 Nay;3808 but3588 as captain8269 of the host6635 of the LORD3068 am I589 now6258 come.935 And Joshua3091 fell5307 on413 his face6440 to the earth,776 and did worship,7812 and said559 unto him, What4100 saith1696 my lord113 unto413 his servant?5650

14 他說［he said］：「不是的；我來是要作耶和華軍隊的元帥。」約書亞就臉［face］伏在地敬拜［worship］，對他［unto him］說：「我主有甚麼話對他的［unto his］僕人說［saith］呢？」

15 And the captain8269 of the LORD's3068 host6635 said559 unto413 Joshua,3091 Loose5394 thy shoe5275 from off4480 5921 thy foot;7272 for3588 the place4725 whereon834 5921 thou859 standest5975 is holy.6944 And Joshua3091 did6213 so.3651

15 耶和華軍隊的元帥對約書亞說：「把你腳上的鞋脫下來，因為你所站的地方是聖的。」約書亞就照著行了。
