5 Eben zur selbigen Stunde8160 gingen hervor5312 Finger677, als einer Menschenhand606, die schrieben3790, gegenüber6903 dem Leuchter5043, auf die getünchte1528 Wand3797 in dem königlichen4430 Saal1965. Und5922 der König4430 ward gewahr2370 der Hand3028, die da schrieb3790.

9 Then116 was king4430 Belshazzar1113 greatly7690 troubled,927 and his countenance2122 was changed8133 in5922 him, and his lords7261 were astonished.7672

9 Des erschrak927 der König4430 Belsazer1113 noch härter und116 verlor ganz seine5922 Gestalt2122, und7690 seinen Gewaltigen7261 ward bange7672.

10 Now the queen,4433 by reason of6903 the words4406 of the king4430 and his lords,7261 came5954 into the banquet4961 house:1005 and the queen4433 spoke6032 and said,560 O king,4430 live2418 forever:5957 let not409 thy thoughts7476 trouble927 thee, nor409 let thy countenance2122 be changed: 8133

10 Da ging5954 die Königin4433 um solcher Sache4406 willen des Königs4430 und6032 seiner Gewaltigen7261 hinauf in den Saal4961 und sprach560: Herr König4430, GOtt verleihe dir6903 langes Leben! Laß dich deine Gedanken7476 nicht409 so erschrecken927 und entfärbe2122 dich nicht also8133!

11 Es ist383 ein Mann1400 in deinem Königreich4437, der den Geist7308 der heiligen6922 Götter426 hat. 12 darum daß ein hoher3493 Geist7308 bei ihm funden ward, dazu Verstand4486 und Klugheit7924, Sprüche280 zu deuten6590, dunkle263 Sprüche zu erraten und verborgene7001 Sachen zu offenbaren8271, nämlich Daniel1841, den3606 der König4430 ließ8036 Beltsazar1096 nennen7761. So rufe7123 man7912 nun3705 Daniel1841; der wird sagen2324, was es bedeute.

14 I have even heard8086 of5922 thee, that1768 the spirit7308 of the gods426 is in thee, and that light5094 and understanding7924 and excellent3493 wisdom2452 is found7912 in thee.

14 Ich habe von dir hören sagen8086, daß du den Geist7308 der heiligen Götter426 habest, und5922 Erleuchtung5094, Verstand7924 und hohe3493 Weisheit2452 bei dir funden sei7912.

15 And now3705 the wise2445 men, the astrologers,826 have been brought in5954 before6925 me, that1768 they should read7123 this1836 writing,3792 and make known3046 unto me the interpretation6591 thereof: but they could3546 not3809 show2324 the interpretation6591 of the thing: 4406

15 Nun3705 hab ich vor6925 mich fordern lassen5954 die Klugen2445 und Weisen826, daß sie mir diese1836 Schrift3792 lesen7123 und anzeigen3046 sollen, was sie bedeute; und sie können3546 mir nicht3809 sagen6591, was solches4406 bedeute.

16 And I576 have heard8086 of5922 thee, that1768 thou canst3202 make6590 interpretations,6591 and dissolve8271 doubts:7001 now3705 if2006 thou canst3202 read7123 the writing,3792 and make known3046 to me the interpretation6591 thereof, thou shalt be clothed3848 with scarlet,711 and have a chain2002 of1768 gold1722 about5922 thy neck,6676 and shalt be the third ruler7981 8531 in the kingdom.4437

16 Von dir aber2006 höre8086 ich, daß du könnest3202 die Deutung6591 geben6590 und5922 das Verborgene7001 offenbaren8271. Kannst du nun3705 die Schrift3792 lesen7123 und5922 mir anzeigen3046, was sie bedeutet6591, so576 sollst du mit Purpur711 gekleidet werden3848 und güldene Ketten an deinem Halse6676 tragen und der dritte8531 Herr7981 sein in meinem Königreiche4437.

19 And for4481 the majesty7238 that1768 he gave3052 him, all3606 people,5972 nations,524 and languages,3961 trembled1934 2112 and feared1763 before4481 6925 him: whom1768 he would1934 6634 he slew;1934 6992 and whom1768 he would1934 6634 he kept alive;1934 2418 and whom1768 he would1934 6634 he set up;1934 7313 and whom1768 he would1934 6634 he put down.1934 8214

19 Und vor4481 solcher Macht7238, die ihm6925 gegeben war3052, fürchteten1934 und scheueten sich1763 vor4481 ihm alle3606 Völker5972, Leute524 und Zungen3961. Er tötete, wen er wollte; er schlug, wen er wollte; er erhöhete, wen er wollte; er demütigte, wen er wollte.

20 But when1768 his heart3825 was lifted up,7313 and his mind7308 hardened8631 in pride,2103 he was deposed5182 from4481 his kingly4437 throne,3764 and they took5709 his glory3367 from4481 him:

21 And he was driven2957 from4481 the sons1123 of men;606 and his heart3825 was made7739 like5974 the beasts,2423 and his dwelling4070 was with5974 the wild asses:6167 they fed2939 him with grass6211 like oxen,8450 and his body1655 was wet6647 with the dew4481 2920 of heaven;8065 till5705 1768 he knew3046 that1768 the most high5943 God426 ruled7990 in the kingdom4437 of men,606 and that he appointeth6966 over5922 it whomsoever4479 1768 he will.6634

21 und4070 ward verstoßen2957 von4481 den Leuten1123, und5922 sein Herz3825 ward gleich den Tieren2423, und mußte bei5974 dem Wild6167 laufen und fraß2939 Gras6211 wie4479 Ochsen8450, und sein Leib1655 lag unter dem Tau2920 des Himmels8065 und ward naß6647, bis daß5705 er lernete, daß GOtt426 der Höchste5943 Gewalt hat7990 über der Menschen606 Königreiche4437 und gibt sie6966, wem er will6634.

23 But hast lifted up thyself7313 against5922 the Lord4756 of heaven;8065 and they have brought858 the vessels3984 of1768 his house1005 before6925 thee, and thou,607 and thy lords,7261 thy wives,7695 and thy concubines,3904 have drunk8355 wine2562 in them; and thou hast praised7624 the gods426 of silver,3702 and gold,1722 of brass,5174 iron,6523 wood,636 and stone,69 which1768 see2370 not,3809 nor3809 hear,8086 nor3809 know:3046 and the God426 in whose1768 hand3028 thy breath5396 is, and whose are all3606 thy ways,735 hast thou not3809 glorified: 1922

25 Das1836 ist aber die Schrift3792 allda verzeichnet7560: Mene4484, mene4484, tekel8625, upharsin.

26 This1836 is the interpretation6591 of the thing:4406 MENE;4484 God426 hath numbered4483 thy kingdom,4437 and finished8000 it.

26 Und8000 sie bedeutet6591 dies1836: Mene4484, das ist, GOtt426 hat dein Königreich4437 gezählet und vollendet.

29 Then116 commanded560 Belshazzar,1113 and they clothed3848 Daniel1841 with scarlet,711 and put a chain2002 of1768 gold1722 about5922 his neck,6676 and made a proclamation3745 concerning5922 him, that1768 he should be1934 the third8531 ruler7990 in the kingdom.4437
