1 Es begab sich aber nach etlichen Tagen3117, um die Weizenernte2406, daß Simson sein Weib802 besuchte6485 mit einem Ziegenböcklein. Und3117 als er8123 gedachte559, ich will935 zu meinem Weibe802 gehen935 in die Kammer2315, wollte5414 ihn ihr Vater1 nicht hineinlassen

2 And her father1 said,559 I verily thought559 559 that3588 thou hadst utterly hated8130 8130 her; therefore I gave5414 her to thy companion:4828 is not3808 her younger6996 sister269 fairer2896 than4480 she? take1961 her, I pray thee,4994 instead8478 of her.

2 und sprach559: Ich meinte, du wärest ihr gram8130 worden, und habe sie1 deinem Freunde4828 gegeben5414. Sie559 hat aber eine jüngere6996 Schwester269, die ist8130 schöner2896 denn sie559; die laß dein sein für diese.

3 And Samson8123 said559 concerning them, Now6471 shall I be more blameless5352 than the Philistines,4480 6430 though3588 I589 do6213 5973 them a displeasure.7451

3 Da sprach559 Simson8123 zu ihnen: Ich habe6213 einmal6471 eine rechte Sache wider die Philister6430; ich will euch Schaden5352 tun.

4 And Samson8123 went1980 and caught3920 three7969 hundred3967 foxes,7776 and took3947 firebrands,3940 and turned6437 tail2180 to413 tail,2180 and put7760 a259 firebrand3940 in the midst8432 between996 two8147 tails.2180

4 Und8123 Simson ging hin3212 und3967 fing3920 dreihundert7969 Füchse7776; und nahm3947 Brände3940 und kehrete je einen259 Schwanz2180 zum andern und tat7760 einen Brand je zwischen8432 zween Schwänze.

5 And when he had set1197 the brands3940 on fire,784 he let them go7971 into the standing corn7054 of the Philistines,6430 and burnt up1197 both the shocks,4480 1430 and also5704 the standing corn,7054 with5704 the vineyards3754 and olives.2132

5 Und zündete1197 die an mit Feuer784 und ließ7971 sie unter das Korn7054 der Philister6430; und zündete1197 also an die Mandeln samt dem stehenden Korn7054 und Weinberge3754 und Ölbäume2132.

6 Then the Philistines6430 said,559 Who4310 hath done6213 this?2063 And they answered,559 Samson,8123 the son-in-law2860 of the Timnite,8554 because3588 he had taken3947 853 his wife,802 and given5414 her to his companion.4828 And the Philistines6430 came up,5927 and burnt8313 her and her father1 with fire.784

6 Da sprachen die Philister6430: Wer hat3947 das getan6213? Da sagte559 man559: Simson, der Eidam2860 des Thimniters8554, darum daß er ihm8123 sein Weib802 genommen und seinem Freunde4828 gegeben5414 hat8313. Da zogen die Philister6430 hinauf5927 und verbrannten sie samt ihrem Vater1 mit Feuer784.

7 And Samson8123 said559 unto them, Though518 ye have done6213 this,2063 yet3588 518 will I be avenged5358 of you, and after that310 I will cease.2308

7 Simson aber sprach559 zu ihnen518: Ob ihr schon das2063 getan6213 habt, doch will ich mich an euch310 selbst rächen5358 und8123 danach aufhören2308.

8 And he smote5221 them hip7785 and5921 thigh3409 with a great1419 slaughter:4347 and he went down3381 and dwelt3427 in the top5585 of the rock5553 Etam.5862

8 Und schlug5221 sie3427 hart1419, beide an Schultern7785 und Lenden3409. Und zog hinab3381 und wohnete in der Steinkluft5585 zu5921 Etam5862.

9 Then the Philistines6430 went up,5927 and pitched2583 in Judah,3063 and spread themselves5203 in Lehi.3896

9 Da zogen die Philister6430 hinauf5927 und belagerten Juda3063 und ließen sich2583 nieder5203 zu Lehi3896.

10 And the men376 of Judah3063 said,559 Why4100 are ye come up5927 against5921 us? And they answered,559 To bind631 853 Samson8123 are we come up,5927 to do6213 to him as834 he hath done6213 to us.

10 Aber die von Juda3063 sprachen559: Warum seid ihr wider uns heraufgezogen? Sie559 antworteten: Wir sind5927 heraufkommen, Simson zu6213 binden631, daß wir ihm8123 tun5927, wie er376 uns getan6213 hat.

11 Then three7969 thousand505 men376 of Judah4480 3063 went3381 to413 the top5585 of the rock5553 Etam,5862 and said559 to Samson,8123 Knowest3045 thou not3808 that3588 the Philistines6430 are rulers4910 over us? what4100 is this2063 that thou hast done6213 unto us? And he said559 unto them, As834 they did6213 unto me, so3651 have I done6213 unto them.

11 Da zogen dreitausend7969 Mann376 von Juda3063 hinab3381 in die Steinkluft5585 zu Etam5862 und sprachen559 zu Simson: Weißt du nicht, daß die Philister6430 über uns herrschen4910? Warum hast du denn das an uns getan6213? Er8123 sprach559 zu ihnen: Wie sie505 mir getan6213 haben3045, so habe ich ihnen wieder getan6213.

12 And they said559 unto him, We are come down3381 to bind631 thee, that we may deliver5414 thee into the hand3027 of the Philistines.6430 And Samson8123 said559 unto them, Swear7650 unto me, that6435 ye will not fall6293 upon me yourselves.859

12 Sie sprachen559 zu ihm8123: Wir sind herabkommen3381, dich zu binden631 und in der Philister6430 Hände3027 zu geben5414. Simson sprach559 zu ihnen: So schwöret7650 mir, daß ihr mir nicht wehren wollet.

13 And they spoke559 unto him, saying,559 No;3808 but3588 we will bind thee fast,631 631 and deliver5414 thee into their hand:3027 but surely we will not kill4191 3808 4191 thee. And they bound631 him with two8147 new2319 cords,5688 and brought him up5927 from4480 the rock.5553

13 Sie559 antworteten ihm: Wir wollen dir nicht wehren, sondern wollen dich631 nur binden631 und in ihre Hände3027 geben5414 und wollen dich631 nicht töten4191. Und sie559 banden ihn mit zween neuen2319 Stricken5688 und führeten ihn herauf5927 vom Felsen5553.

14 And when he1931 came935 unto5704 Lehi,3896 the Philistines6430 shouted7321 against7125 him: and the Spirit7307 of the LORD3068 came mightily6743 upon5921 him, and the cords5688 that834 were upon5921 his arms2220 became1961 as flax6593 that834 was burnt1197 with fire,784 and his bands612 loosed4549 from off4480 5921 his hands.3027

14 Und da er kam935 bis gen Lehi3896, jauchzeten die Philister6430 zu ihm zu. Aber der Geist7307 des HErrn3068 geriet6743 über ihn7125, und die Stricke5688 an seinen Armen2220 wurden wie Faden, die das Feuer784 versenget hat1197, daß die Bande612 an seinen Händen3027 zerschmolzen4549.

15 And he found4672 a new2961 jawbone3895 of an ass,2543 and put forth7971 his hand,3027 and took3947 it, and slew5221 a thousand505 men376 therewith.

15 Und er fand4672 einen faulen Eselskinnbacken3895; da reckte7971 er seine Hand3027 aus und nahm3947 ihn und schlug5221 damit tausend505 Mann376.

16 And Samson8123 said,559 With the jawbone3895 of an ass,2543 heaps upon heaps,2565 2565 with the jaw3895 of an ass2543 have I slain5221 a thousand505 men.376

16 Und8123 Simson sprach559: Da liegen3895 sie2543 bei Haufen2565; durch eines Esels2543 Kinnbacken3895 habe ich tausend505 Mann376 geschlagen5221.

17 And it came to pass,1961 when he had made an end3615 of speaking,1696 that he cast away7993 the jawbone3895 out of his hand,4480 3027 and called7121 that1931 place4725 Ramath-lehi.7437

17 Und da er das ausgeredet1696 hatte3615, warf7993 er den Kinnbacken3895 aus seiner Hand3027 und hieß7121 die Stätte4725 Ramath-Lehi7437.

18 And he was sore athirst,6770 3966 and called7121 on413 the LORD,3068 and said,559 Thou859 hast given5414 853 this2063 great1419 deliverance8668 into the hand3027 of thy servant:5650 and now6258 shall I die4191 for thirst,6772 and fall5307 into the hand3027 of the uncircumcised?6189

18 Da ihn aber sehr3966 dürstete6770, rief7121 er den HErrn3068 an und5650 sprach559: Du hast solch groß1419 Heil8668 gegeben5414 durch die Hand3027 deines Knechts; nun aber muß ich Durstes6772 sterben4191 und in der Unbeschnittenen6189 Hände3027 fallen5307.

19 But God430 cleaved1234 853 a hollow place4388 that834 was in the jaw,3895 and there came3318 water4325 therefrom;4480 and when he had drunk,8354 his spirit7307 came again,7725 and he revived:2421 wherefore5921 3651 he called7121 the name8034 thereof En-hakkore,5875 which834 is in Lehi3896 unto5704 this2088 day.3117

19 Da spaltete1234 GOtt430 einen Backenzahn in dem Kinnbacken3895, daß Wasser4325 heraus ging3318. Und als er2421 trank8354, kam sein Geist7307 wieder7725 und ward erquicket. Darum heißt7121 er noch heutigestages3117 des Anrufers Brunnen5875, der8034 im Kinnbacken ward.
