Chapter 1

2 The LORD3068 hath been sore displeased7107 7110 with5921 your fathers.1

3 Therefore say559 thou unto413 them, Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Turn7725 ye unto413 me, saith5002 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 and I will turn7725 unto413 you, saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

4 Be1961 ye not408 as your fathers,1 unto413 whom834 the former7223 prophets5030 have cried,7121 saying,559 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Turn7725 ye now4994 from your evil7451 ways,4480 1870 and from your evil7451 doings:4611 but they did not3808 hear,8085 nor3808 hearken7181 unto413 me, saith5002 the LORD.3068

5 Your fathers,1 where346 are they?1992 and the prophets,5030 do they live2421 forever?5769

6 But389 my words1697 and my statutes,2706 which834 I commanded6680 853 my servants5650 the prophets,5030 did they not3808 take hold5381 of your fathers?1 and they returned7725 and said,559 Like as834 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 thought2161 to do6213 unto us, according to our ways,1870 and according to our doings,4611 so3651 hath he dealt6213 with854 us.

7 Upon the four702 and twentieth6242 day3117 of the eleventh6249 6240 month,2320 which1931 is the month2320 Sebat,7627 in the second8147 year8141 of Darius,1867 came1961 the word1697 of the LORD3068 unto413 Zechariah,2148 the son1121 of Berechiah,1296 the son1121 of Iddo5714 the prophet,5030 saying,559

8 I saw7200 by night,3915 and behold2009 a man376 riding7392 upon5921 a red122 horse,5483 and he1931 stood5975 among996 the myrtle trees1918 that834 were in the bottom;4699 and behind310 him were there red122 horses,5483 speckled,8320 and white.3836

9 Then said559 I, O my lord,113 what4100 are these?428 And the angel4397 that talked1696 with me said559 unto413 me, I589 will show7200 thee what4100 these428 be.

10 And the man376 that stood5975 among996 the myrtle trees1918 answered6030 and said,559 These428 are they whom834 the LORD3068 hath sent7971 to walk to and fro1980 through the earth.776

11 And they answered6030 853 the angel4397 of the LORD3068 that stood5975 among996 the myrtle trees,1918 and said,559 We have walked to and fro1980 through the earth,776 and, behold,2009 all3605 the earth776 sitteth still,3427 and is at rest.8252

12 Then the angel4397 of the LORD3068 answered6030 and said,559 O LORD3068 of hosts,6635 how long5704 4970 wilt thou859 not3808 have mercy on7355 853 Jerusalem3389 and on the cities5892 of Judah,3063 against which834 thou hast had indignation2194 these2088 threescore and ten7657 years?8141

13 And the LORD3068 answered6030 853 the angel4397 that talked1696 with me with good2896 words1697 and comfortable5150 words.1697

14 So the angel4397 that communed1696 with me said559 unto413 me, Cry7121 thou, saying,559 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 I am jealous7065 for Jerusalem3389 and for Zion6726 with a great1419 jealousy.7068

15 And I589 am very1419 sore displeased7107 7110 with5921 the heathen1471 that are at ease:7600 for834 I589 was but a little4592 displeased,7107 and they1992 helped5826 forward the affliction.7451

16 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 I am returned7725 to Jerusalem3389 with mercies:7356 my house1004 shall be built1129 in it, saith5002 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 and a line6957 shall be stretched forth5186 upon5921 Jerusalem.3389

17 Cry7121 yet,5750 saying,559 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 My cities5892 through prosperity4480 2896 shall yet5750 be spread abroad;6327 and the LORD3068 shall yet5750 comfort5162 853 Zion,6726 and shall yet5750 choose977 Jerusalem.3389

18 Then lifted I up5375 853 mine eyes,5869 and saw,7200 and behold2009 four702 horns.7161

19 And I said559 unto413 the angel4397 that talked1696 with me, What4100 be these?428 And he answered559 413 me, These428 are the horns7161 which834 have scattered2219 853 Judah,3063 853 Israel,3478 and Jerusalem.3389

20 And the LORD3068 showed7200 me four702 carpenters.2796

21 Then said559 I, What4100 come935 these428 to do?6213 And he spoke,559 saying,559 These428 are the horns7161 which834 have scattered2219 853 Judah,3063 so that no3808 man376 did lift up5375 his head:7218 but these428 are come935 to frighten2729 them, to cast out3034 853 the horns7161 of the Gentiles,1471 which lifted up5375 their horn7161 over413 the land776 of Judah3063 to scatter2219 it.

2 – Вечный сильно прогневался на ваших предков.

3 Скажи же народу: Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил: «Вернитесь ко Мне, – возвещает Вечный, Повелитель Сил, – и Я вернусь к вам, – говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил. –

4 Не будьте как ваши предки, к которым взывали прежние пророки, говоря: „Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил: Оставьте свои злые пути и скверные обычаи“, а они не слушали и не внимали Мне, – возвещает Вечный. –

5 Где теперь ваши предки? И разве вечно живут пророки?

6 Но Мои слова и установления, которые Я вручил Моим рабам пророкам, разве не исполнились они над вашими предками? Они тогда покаялись и сказали: „Вечный, Повелитель Сил, поступил с нами так, как мы заслужили своими путями и делами, – как Он определил, так и поступил“».

7 В двадцать четвёртый день одиннадцатого месяца, месяца шевата, на втором году правления Дария (15 февраля 519 г. до н. э.), было слово Вечного к пророку Закарии, сыну Берехии, внуку Иддо.

8 Ночью мне было видение: смотрю, передо мной Некто на рыжем коне. Он стоял среди миртов, . что в горной долине; позади Него – всадники на рыжем, гнедом и белом конях.

9 Я спросил: – Что это значит, мой Господин?И Ангел, Который говорил со мной, ответил: – Я покажу тебе, что это значит.

10 Тот, Кто стоял среди миртов, объяснил: – Это те, кого Вечный послал пройти по земле дозором.

11 И они сказали Ангелу Вечного, . Который стоял среди миртов: – Мы прошли по земле дозором – на всей земле покой и мир.

12 Тогда Ангел Вечного сказал: – О Вечный, Повелитель Сил, до каких пор Ты будешь отказывать в милости Иерусалиму и городам Иудеи, на которые Ты гневаешься вот уже семьдесят лет?

13 И Вечный отвечал добрыми и утешительными словами Ангелу, говорившему со мной.

14 Тогда Ангел, Который говорил со мной, сказал мне: – Вот что ты должен возвестить: «Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил: Крепко возревновал Я об Иерусалиме и Сионе,

15 а на народы, живущие в покое, Я страшно разгневан. Тогда как Я лишь немного гневался на Мой народ, они без меры обрушили на него бедствие.

16 Поэтому так говорит Вечный: Я вернусь в Иерусалим с состраданием, и Мой дом там будет отстроен, – возвещает Вечный, Повелитель Сил, – и протянется над Иерусалимом землемерная нить ».

17 Ещё провозгласи: «Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил: Снова переполнятся изобилием Мои города, и вновь Вечный утешит Сион и изберёт Иерусалим».

18 Я поднял глаза и вижу: передо мной четыре рога.

19 Я спросил Ангела, Который говорил со мной: – Что это?Он ответил: – Эти рога – сила народов, которая разметала Иудею, Исраил и Иерусалим.

20 Затем Вечный показал мне четверых кузнецов.

21 Я спросил: – Что они собираются делать?Он ответил: – Этими рогами народы разметали Иудею так, что никто не мог поднять своей головы, а кузнецы пришли нагнать на них страх и сбить им рога, которые они подняли против земли Иудеи, чтобы разметать её народ.
