Chapter 23

1 And it came to pass1961 a long7227 time4480 3117 after310 that834 the LORD3068 had given rest5117 unto Israel3478 from all4480 3605 their enemies341 round about,4480 5439 that Joshua3091 waxed old2204 and stricken935 in age.3117

2 And Joshua3091 called7121 for all3605 Israel,3478 and for their elders,2205 and for their heads,7218 and for their judges,8199 and for their officers,7860 and said559 unto413 them, I589 am old2204 and stricken935 in age: 3117

3 And ye859 have seen7200 853 all3605 that834 the LORD3068 your God430 hath done6213 unto all3605 these428 nations1471 because4480 6440 of you; for3588 the LORD3068 your God430 is he1931 that hath fought3898 for you.

4 Behold,7200 I have divided unto you by lot5307 853 these428 nations1471 that remain,7604 to be an inheritance5159 for your tribes,7626 from4480 Jordan,3383 with all3605 the nations1471 that834 I have cut off,3772 even unto the great1419 sea3220 westward.3996 8121

5 And the LORD3068 your God,430 he1931 shall expel1920 them from before4480 6440 you, and drive3423 them from out of your sight;4480 6440 and ye shall possess3423 853 their land,776 as834 the LORD3068 your God430 hath promised1696 unto you.

6 Be ye therefore very3966 courageous2388 to keep8104 and to do6213 853 all3605 that is written3789 in the book5612 of the law8451 of Moses,4872 that ye turn5493 not1115 aside5493 therefrom4480 to the right hand3225 or to the left;8040

7 That ye come935 not1115 among these428 nations,1471 these428 that remain7604 among you; neither3808 make mention2142 of the name8034 of their gods,430 nor3808 cause to swear7650 by them, neither3808 serve5647 them, nor3808 bow yourselves7812 unto them:

8 But3588 518 cleave1692 unto the LORD3068 your God,430 as834 ye have done6213 unto5704 this2088 day.3117

9 For the LORD3068 hath driven out3423 from before4480 6440 you great1419 nations1471 and strong:6099 but as for you,859 no3808 man376 hath been able to stand5975 before6440 you unto5704 this2088 day.3117

10 One259 man376 of4480 you shall chase7291 a thousand:505 for3588 the LORD3068 your God,430 he1931 it is that fighteth3898 for you, as834 he hath promised1696 you.

11 Take good3966 heed8104 therefore unto yourselves,5315 that ye love157 853 the LORD3068 your God.430

12 Else3588 if518 ye do in any wise go back,7725 7725 and cleave1692 unto the remnant3499 of these428 nations,1471 even these428 that remain7604 among854 you, and shall make marriages2859 with them, and go in935 unto them, and they1992 to you:

13 Know for a certainty3045 3045 that3588 the LORD3068 your God430 will no3808 more3254 drive out3423 any of853 these428 nations1471 from before4480 6440 you; but they shall be1961 snares6341 and traps4170 unto you, and scourges7850 in your sides,6654 and thorns6976 in your eyes,5869 until5704 ye perish6 from off4480 5921 this2063 good2896 land127 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 hath given5414 you.

14 And, behold,2009 this day3117 I595 am going1980 the way1870 of all3605 the earth:776 and ye know3045 in all3605 your hearts3824 and in all3605 your souls,5315 that3588 not3808 one259 thing1697 hath failed5307 of all4480 3605 the good2896 things1697 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 spoke1696 concerning5921 you; all3605 are come to pass935 unto you, and not3808 one259 thing1697 hath failed5307 thereof.4480

15 Therefore it shall come to pass,1961 that as834 all3605 good2896 things1697 are come935 upon5921 you, which834 the LORD3068 your God430 promised1696 413 you; so3651 shall the LORD3068 bring935 upon5921 you853 all3605 evil7451 things,1697 until5704 he have destroyed8045 you from off4480 5921 this2063 good2896 land127 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 hath given5414 you.

16 When ye have transgressed5674 853 the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 your God,430 which834 he commanded6680 you, and have gone1980 and served5647 other312 gods,430 and bowed yourselves7812 to them; then shall the anger639 of the LORD3068 be kindled2734 against you, and ye shall perish6 quickly4120 from off4480 5921 the good2896 land776 which834 he hath given5414 unto you.

1 Спустя много времени после того, как Иегова [Бог] успокоил Израиля от всех врагов его со всех сторон, Иисус состарелся, вошел в преклонные лета.

2 И призвал Иисус всех [сынов] Израилевых, старейшин их, начальников их, судей их и надзирателей их, и сказал им: я состарелся, вошел в преклонные лета.

3 Вы видели все, что сделал Иегова, Бог ваш, пред лицем вашим со всеми сими народами, поелику Иегова, Бог ваш, Сам сражался за вас.

4 Вот, я разделил вам по жребию оставшиеся народы сии, в удел коленам вашим, все народы, которые я истребил, от Иордана до великого моря, [которое] на запад солнца.

5 Иегова, Бог ваш, Сам прогонит их от вас [пока не погибнут; и пошлет на них диких зверей, пока не истребит их и царей их от лица вашего,] и истребит их пред вами, дабы вы получили в наследие землю их, как говорил вам Иегова, Бог ваш.

6 Посему во всей точности старайтесь сохранить и исполнить все написанное в книге закона Моисеева, не уклоняясь от него ни направо, ни налево.

7 Не сообщайтесь с сими народами, которые остались между вами; не воспоминайте имени богов их; не клянитесь [ими], и не служите им и не поклоняйтесь им,

8 Но прилепитесь к Иегове, Богу вашему, так как вы делали до сего дня.

9 Иегова прогнал от вас народы великие и сильные; и пред вами никто не устоял до сего дня.

10 Один из вас прогоняет тысячу; поелику Иегова, Бог ваш, Сам сражается за вас, так как говорил вам.

11 Посему всячески старайтесь любить Иегову, Бога вашего.

12 Если же вы отвратитесь и пристанете к оставшимся народам сим, которые остались между вами, и вступите в родство с ними, и будете ходить к ним и они к вам:

13 То знайте, что Иегова, Бог ваш, не будет уже прогонять от вас народы сии, но они будут для вас петлею и сетью, бичем для ребр ваших, и терном для глаз ваших, пока не потеряете сей доброй земли, которую дал вам Иегова, Бог ваш.

14 Вот, я ныне отхожу в путь всей земли. Знайте всем сердцем вашим и всею душею вашею, что не осталось тщетным ни одно слово из всех добрых слов, которые говорил о вас Иегова, Бог ваш; все сбылось для вас, не осталось тщетным ни одно слово.

15 Но как сбылось над вами всякое доброе слово, которое говорил вам Иегова, Бог ваш: так Иегова исполнит над вами всякое злое слово, пока не истребит вас с доброй сей земли, которую дал вам Иегова, Бог ваш.

16 Если вы преступите завет Иеговы, Бога вашего, который Он поставил с вами, и пойдете и будете служить другим богам и поклоняться им: то возгорится на вас гнев Господень и скоро потеряете добрую землю, которую дал вам [Господь].

3 Вы видели все, что сделал Иегова, Бог ваш, пред лицем вашим со всеми сими народами, поелику Иегова, Бог ваш, Сам сражался за вас.

5 Иегова, Бог ваш, Сам прогонит их от вас [пока не погибнут; и пошлет на них диких зверей, пока не истребит их и царей их от лица вашего,] и истребит их пред вами, дабы вы получили в наследие землю их, как говорил вам Иегова, Бог ваш.

6 Be ye therefore very3966 courageous2388 to keep8104 and to do6213 853 all3605 that is written3789 in the book5612 of the law8451 of Moses,4872 that ye turn5493 not1115 aside5493 therefrom4480 to the right hand3225 or to the left;8040

13 То знайте, что Иегова, Бог ваш, не будет уже прогонять от вас народы сии, но они будут для вас петлею и сетью, бичем для ребр ваших, и терном для глаз ваших, пока не потеряете сей доброй земли, которую дал вам Иегова, Бог ваш.

14 Вот, я ныне отхожу в путь всей земли. Знайте всем сердцем вашим и всею душею вашею, что не осталось тщетным ни одно слово из всех добрых слов, которые говорил о вас Иегова, Бог ваш; все сбылось для вас, не осталось тщетным ни одно слово.

15 Therefore it shall come to pass,1961 that as834 all3605 good2896 things1697 are come935 upon5921 you, which834 the LORD3068 your God430 promised1696 413 you; so3651 shall the LORD3068 bring935 upon5921 you853 all3605 evil7451 things,1697 until5704 he have destroyed8045 you from off4480 5921 this2063 good2896 land127 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 hath given5414 you.

15 Но как сбылось над вами всякое доброе слово, которое говорил вам Иегова, Бог ваш: так Иегова исполнит над вами всякое злое слово, пока не истребит вас с доброй сей земли, которую дал вам Иегова, Бог ваш.
