Chapter 19

1 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Go1980 and get7069 a potter's3335 earthen2789 bottle,1228 and take of the ancients4480 2205 of the people,5971 and of the ancients4480 2205 of the priests;3548

2 And go forth3318 unto413 the valley1516 of the son1121 of Hinnom,2011 which834 is by the entry6607 of the east2777 gate,8179 and proclaim7121 there8033 853 the words1697 that834 I shall tell1696 413 thee,

3 And say,559 Hear8085 ye the word1697 of the LORD,3068 O kings4428 of Judah,3063 and inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem;3389 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 Behold,2009 I will bring935 evil7451 upon5921 this2088 place,4725 the which834 whosoever3605 heareth,8085 his ears241 shall tingle.6750

4 Because3282 834 they have forsaken5800 me, and have estranged5234 853 this2088 place,4725 and have burned incense6999 in it unto other312 gods,430 whom834 neither3808 they1992 nor their fathers1 have known,3045 nor the kings4428 of Judah,3063 and have filled4390 853 this2088 place4725 with the blood1818 of innocents;5355

5 They have built1129 also853 the high places1116 of Baal,1168 to burn8313 853 their sons1121 with fire784 for burnt offerings5930 unto Baal,1168 which834 I commanded6680 not,3808 nor3808 spoke1696 it, neither3808 came5927 it into5921 my mind: 3820

6 Therefore,3651 behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 saith5002 the LORD,3068 that this2088 place4725 shall no3808 more5750 be called7121 Tophet,8612 nor The valley1516 of the son1121 of Hinnom,2011 but3588 518 The valley1516 of slaughter.2028

7 And I will make void1238 853 the counsel6098 of Judah3063 and Jerusalem3389 in this2088 place;4725 and I will cause them to fall5307 by the sword2719 before6440 their enemies,341 and by the hands3027 of them that seek1245 their lives:5315 and853 their carcasses5038 will I give5414 to be meat3978 for the fowls5775 of the heaven,8064 and for the beasts929 of the earth.776

8 And I will make7760 853 this2063 city5892 desolate,8047 and a hissing;8322 every one3605 that passeth5674 thereby5921 shall be astonished8074 and hiss8319 because5921 of all3605 the plagues4347 thereof.

9 And I will cause them to eat398 853 the flesh1320 of their sons1121 and the flesh1320 of their daughters,1323 and they shall eat398 every one376 the flesh1320 of his friend7453 in the siege4692 and straitness,4689 wherewith834 their enemies,341 and they that seek1245 their lives,5315 shall straiten6693 them.

10 Then shalt thou break7665 the bottle1228 in the sight5869 of the men376 that go1980 with854 thee,

11 And shalt say559 unto413 them, Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Even so3602 will I break7665 853 this2088 people5971 and this2063 city,5892 as834 one breaketh7665 853 a potter's3335 vessel,3627 that834 cannot3201 3808 be made whole7495 again:5750 and they shall bury6912 them in Tophet,8612 till there be no4480 369 place4725 to bury.6912

12 Thus3651 will I do6213 unto this2088 place,4725 saith5002 the LORD,3068 and to the inhabitants3427 thereof, and even make5414 853 this2063 city5892 as Tophet: 8612

13 And the houses1004 of Jerusalem,3389 and the houses1004 of the kings4428 of Judah,3063 shall be1961 defiled2931 as the place4725 of Tophet,8612 because of all3605 the houses1004 upon5921 whose834 roofs1406 they have burned incense6999 unto all3605 the host6635 of heaven,8064 and have poured out5258 drink offerings5262 unto other312 gods.430

14 Then came935 Jeremiah3414 from Tophet,4480 8612 whither834 8033 the LORD3068 had sent7971 him to prophesy;5012 and he stood5975 in the court2691 of the LORD's3068 house;1004 and said559 to413 all3605 the people,5971

15 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 Behold,2009 I will bring935 upon413 this2063 city5892 and upon5921 all3605 her towns5892 853 all3605 the evil7451 that834 I have pronounced1696 against5921 it, because3588 they have hardened7185 853 their necks,6203 that they might not1115 hear8085 853 my words.1697

1 Господь мне сказал: «Иеремия, пойди и купи глиняный кувшин у гончара.

2 Пойди в долину Бен-Енном, к воротам Харшиф, собери старейшин и священников и передай им то, что Я тебе скажу.

3 Скажи людям, которые будут с тобой: „Царь Иудеи и народ Иерусалима, слушайте весть Господнюю! Вот что говорит Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля: „С этой землёй скоро случится нечто ужасное, каждый, кто об этом услышит, исполнится страха и удивления.

4 Я это сделаю потому, что народ Иудеи перестал следовать Мне, отдав эту землю чужим богам. Люди Иудеи сжигали здесь жертвы другим чужеземным богам, которым не поклонялись ни они, ни их предки. Цари Иудеи заполнили это место кровью невинных младенцев.

5 Цари Иудеи построили высоты Ваалу, на которых сжигали своих сыновей в жертву всесожжения этому лжебогу. Я не велел им этого делать, не просил их приносить в жертву сыновей. Я никогда ни о чём подобном не помышлял.

6 Сейчас это место в долине Еннома люди зовут Тофетом, но Я тебя предупреждаю, что наступят дни, когда люди назовут это место долиной Кровопролития.

7 Я сведу на нет планы народов Иудеи и Иерусалима; враг будет преследовать их, и Я позволю ему сразить их мечами, и трупы их станут пищей для птиц и зверей.

8 Я полностью разрушу этот город. Те, кто будут идти мимо, будут качать головами и присвистывать, когда увидят руины.

9 Армия врага окружит его и не даст жителям выйти на поиски пищи, и в городе начнётся голод. Люди будут так голодать, что сначала будут есть тела своих сыновей и дочерей, а потом станут есть и друг друга”.

10 Иеремия, скажи это людям и разбей у них на глазах кувшин.

11 И в это время скажи, что Господь Всемогущий так говорит: „Я разобью народ Иудеи и город Иерусалим так же, как разбивают глиняный кувшин. Этот кувшин нельзя склеить, то же произойдёт и с народом Иудеи. Мёртвых будут хоронить в Тофете до тех пор, пока здесь больше не останется места для могил.

12 Так Я поступлю с этими людьми и с этой землёй. Я сделаю так, что этот город будет подобным Тофету.

13 Дома в Иерусалиме станут такими же грязными, как Тофет. Царские дворцы будут разрушены, как Тофет, потому что люди поклонялись чужим богам на крышах этих домов. Они поклонялись звездам и сжигали жертвы в их честь, а также предлагали питьё этим лжебогам”».

14 Тогда Иеремия покинул Тофет, в котором Господь велел ему проповедовать. Иеремия пошёл в храм Господний и, встав во дворе его, сказал всему народу:

15 «Вот что говорит Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля: „Я предупреждал, что принесу много несчастий Иерусалиму и селеньям вокруг него. Я скоро всё это свершу, потому что люди слишком упрямы и не хотят Меня слушать и подчиняться Мне”».

1 Господь мне сказал: «Иеремия, пойди и купи глиняный кувшин у гончара.

3 Скажи людям, которые будут с тобой: „Царь Иудеи и народ Иерусалима, слушайте весть Господнюю! Вот что говорит Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля: „С этой землёй скоро случится нечто ужасное, каждый, кто об этом услышит, исполнится страха и удивления.

4 Я это сделаю потому, что народ Иудеи перестал следовать Мне, отдав эту землю чужим богам. Люди Иудеи сжигали здесь жертвы другим чужеземным богам, которым не поклонялись ни они, ни их предки. Цари Иудеи заполнили это место кровью невинных младенцев.

5 They have built1129 also853 the high places1116 of Baal,1168 to burn8313 853 their sons1121 with fire784 for burnt offerings5930 unto Baal,1168 which834 I commanded6680 not,3808 nor3808 spoke1696 it, neither3808 came5927 it into5921 my mind: 3820

5 Цари Иудеи построили высоты Ваалу, на которых сжигали своих сыновей в жертву всесожжения этому лжебогу. Я не велел им этого делать, не просил их приносить в жертву сыновей. Я никогда ни о чём подобном не помышлял.

6 Therefore,3651 behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 saith5002 the LORD,3068 that this2088 place4725 shall no3808 more5750 be called7121 Tophet,8612 nor The valley1516 of the son1121 of Hinnom,2011 but3588 518 The valley1516 of slaughter.2028

6 Сейчас это место в долине Еннома люди зовут Тофетом, но Я тебя предупреждаю, что наступят дни, когда люди назовут это место долиной Кровопролития.

7 Я сведу на нет планы народов Иудеи и Иерусалима; враг будет преследовать их, и Я позволю ему сразить их мечами, и трупы их станут пищей для птиц и зверей.

9 Армия врага окружит его и не даст жителям выйти на поиски пищи, и в городе начнётся голод. Люди будут так голодать, что сначала будут есть тела своих сыновей и дочерей, а потом станут есть и друг друга”.

10 Then shalt thou break7665 the bottle1228 in the sight5869 of the men376 that go1980 with854 thee,

10 Иеремия, скажи это людям и разбей у них на глазах кувшин.

11 And shalt say559 unto413 them, Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Even so3602 will I break7665 853 this2088 people5971 and this2063 city,5892 as834 one breaketh7665 853 a potter's3335 vessel,3627 that834 cannot3201 3808 be made whole7495 again:5750 and they shall bury6912 them in Tophet,8612 till there be no4480 369 place4725 to bury.6912

11 И в это время скажи, что Господь Всемогущий так говорит: „Я разобью народ Иудеи и город Иерусалим так же, как разбивают глиняный кувшин. Этот кувшин нельзя склеить, то же произойдёт и с народом Иудеи. Мёртвых будут хоронить в Тофете до тех пор, пока здесь больше не останется места для могил.

12 Thus3651 will I do6213 unto this2088 place,4725 saith5002 the LORD,3068 and to the inhabitants3427 thereof, and even make5414 853 this2063 city5892 as Tophet: 8612

12 Так Я поступлю с этими людьми и с этой землёй. Я сделаю так, что этот город будет подобным Тофету.

14 Тогда Иеремия покинул Тофет, в котором Господь велел ему проповедовать. Иеремия пошёл в храм Господний и, встав во дворе его, сказал всему народу:
