Глава 16

1 Потомкам Иосифа по жребию достались земли, южная граница которых брала свое начало от Иордана, у Иерихона, далее шла на восток до вод Иерихона, потом через пустыню, что раскинулась от Иерихона до горной страны Бет-Эль.

2 От Бет-Эля через Луз граница шла до земель Арки, до Атарота,

3 и далее тянулась на запад, спускаясь к пределам земель Яфлети, к Нижнему Бет-Хорону и к Гезеру и заканчиваясь у самого моря.

4 Такое наследие обрели потомки Манассии и Ефрема, сынов Иосифа.

5 Земли, унаследованные потомками Ефрема, поделены были между их семействами. Восточная граница их наследственных земель протянулась от Атрот-Аддара до Верхнего Бет-Хорона

6 и далее доходила до самого моря. С севера был Михметат; на востоке же граница поворачивала к Таанат-Шило и, огибая его с восточной стороны, шла к Янохе,

7 затем от Янохи к Атароту и Наарате, оттуда — вдоль Иерихона и доходила до Иордана.

8 В западном направлении граница земель потомков Ефрема тянулась от Таппуаха до потока Кана и заканчивалась у самого моря. Таково наследие, обретенное коленом Ефрема и поделенное между его семействами.

9 Потомкам Ефрема были также выделены некоторые из унаследованных потомками Манассии селений с их окрестностями.

10 Однако не смогли потомки Ефрема изгнать ханаанеев, что жили в Гезере. Потому и сегодня ханаанеи живут среди них и работают на них.

1 And the lot1486 of the children1121 of Joseph3130 fell3318 from Jordan3383 by Jericho,3405 to the water4325 of Jericho3405 on the east,4217 to the wilderness4057 that goes5927 up from Jericho3405 throughout mount2022 Bethel,1008

2 And goes3318 out from Bethel1008 to Luz,3870 and passes5674 along to the borders1366 of Archi757 to Ataroth,5852

3 And goes3381 down3381 westward3220 to the coast1366 of Japhleti,3311 to the coast1366 of Bethhoron1032 the nether,8481 and to Gezer;1507 and the goings8444 out thereof are at the sea.3220

4 So the children1121 of Joseph,3130 Manasseh4519 and Ephraim,669 took their inheritance.5157

5 And the border1366 of the children1121 of Ephraim669 according to their families4940 was thus: even the border1366 of their inheritance5159 on the east4217 side was Atarothaddar,5853 to Bethhoron1032 the upper;5945

6 And the border1366 went3318 out toward the sea3220 to Michmethah4366 on the north6828 side; and the border1366 went5437 about5437 eastward4217 to Taanathshiloh,8387 and passed5674 by it on the east4217 to Janohah;3239

7 And it went3381 down3381 from Janohah3239 to Ataroth,5852 and to Naarath,5292 and came6293 to Jericho,3405 and went3318 out at Jordan.3383

8 The border1366 went3212 out from Tappuah8599 westward3220 to the river5158 Kanah;7071 and the goings8444 out thereof were at the sea.3220 This2063 is the inheritance5159 of the tribe4294 of the children1121 of Ephraim669 by their families.4940

9 And the separate3995 cities5892 for the children1121 of Ephraim669 were among8432 the inheritance5159 of the children1121 of Manasseh,4519 all3605 the cities5892 with their villages.2691

10 And they drove3423 not out the Canaanites3669 that dwelled3427 in Gezer:1507 but the Canaanites3669 dwell3427 among7130 the Ephraimites669 to this2088 day,3117 and serve5647 under tribute.4522
