Глава 17

1 Вот какие владения отведены были по жребию колену Манассии (первенца Иосифа), то есть потомкам Махира (первенца Манассии), отца Гилада: достались им Гилад и Башан, потому что Махир был храбрым воином.

2 Жребием были назначены земли и для остальных потомков Манассии — для семейств Авиэзера и Хелека, Асриэля и Шехема, Хефера и Шемиды; все они были потомками Манассии, сына Иосифа, потомками колена Манассии по мужской линии.

3 У Целофхада, сына Хефера, внука Гилада, правнука Махира, праправнука Манассии, не было сыновей — только дочери. Имена дочерей его — Махла, Ноа, Хогла, Милка и Тирца.

4 Пришли они к Элеазару-священнику, Иисусу Навину и старейшинам и сказали: «Господь повелел еще через Моисея дать нам наследственный удел среди земель наших родственников». И, по повелению ГОСПОДА, Иисус определил наследие для них среди владений, что принадлежали братьям отца их.

5 Колену Манассии досталось десять удельных областей, помимо земель Гилада и Башана, находившихся за Иорданом,

6 потому что дочери Манассии получили наследие наравне с его сыновьями. А земля Гилад была отведена остальным потомкам Манассии.

7 Граница земель, принадлежавших колену Манассии, была такой: от Ашера до Михметата, что напротив Шехема, оттуда она сворачивала на юг, к Эн-Таппуаху.

8 Земли Таппуаха были собственностью потомков Манассии, однако сам город Таппуах, расположенный у границы владений Манассии, достался потомкам Ефрема.

9 Потом линия границы спускалась на юг, к потоку Кана. На южной стороне его долины были расположены города, выделенные потомкам Ефрема из числа городов, принадлежавших потомкам Манассии. Далее граница земель Манассии шла по северному берегу потока и выходила к Великому морю — их пределу на западе.

10 Морское побережье к югу от него принадлежало потомкам Ефрема, а к северу Манассии; море же было западной границей земель и тех, и других. На севере владения Манассии и Ефрема граничили с землями Асира, а на востоке — с землями Иссахара.

11 Среди владений Иссахара и Асира потомкам Манассии принадлежали Бет-Шеан с прилегавшими к нему селениями, Ивлеам с прилегавшими к нему селениями, жители Дора с прилегавшими к нему селениями, жители Эн-Дора с прилегавшими к нему селениями, а также жители Таанаха и Мегиддо с прилегавшими к нему селениями (другое название третьего по счету — Нафет).

12 Однако не смогли потомки Манассии захватить эти города, и ханаанеи продолжали жить в тех землях.

13 Когда же израильтяне прочно обосновались там, то заставили ханаанеев работать на себя, так и не изгнав их полностью.

14 Потомки Иосифа спросили Иисуса: «Почему ты выделил нам только один наследственный удел, только одну часть этой страны, когда нас так много? Ведь ГОСПОДЬ и по сей день посылает нам благословения, умножая наш род!»

15 «Если вас так много, то отправляйтесь в лес и расчищайте для себя надел в землях периззеев и рефаимов, — ответил им Иисус, — раз вам тесно в нагорье Ефрема».

16 «Этого нагорья мало для нас, — сказали потомки Иосифа, — а долину захватить мы не сможем. Ведь у всех ханаанеев, живущих в долине, есть окованные железом колесницы — и у тех, кто живет в Бет-Шеане, и в прилегающих к нему селениях, и в долине Изреэль».

17 Тогда Иисус сказал потомкам Иосифа, коленам Ефрема и Манассии: «У вас очень много людей, и большая сила у вас. Не только этим одним участком сможете вы овладеть.

18 Вся горная страна станет вашей. Очистите ее от леса и живите — весь край этот будет принадлежать вам. И вы изгоните прочь ханаанеев, даже если и сильны они и железные у них колесницы».

2 There was1961 also a lot for the rest3498 of the children1121 of Manasseh4519 by their families;4940 for the children1121 of Abiezer,44 and for the children1121 of Helek,2507 and for the children1121 of Asriel,844 and for the children1121 of Shechem,7928 and for the children1121 of Hepher,2660 and for the children1121 of Shemida:8061 these428 were the male2145 children1121 of Manasseh4519 the son1121 of Joseph3130 by their families.4940

3 But Zelophehad,6765 the son1121 of Hepher,2660 the son1121 of Gilead,1568 the son1121 of Machir,4353 the son1121 of Manasseh,4519 had1961 no3808 sons,1121 but3588 518 daughters:1323 and these428 are the names8034 of his daughters,1323 Mahlah,4244 and Noah,5270 Hoglah,2295 Milcah,4435 and Tirzah.8656

4 And they came near7126 before6440 Eleazar499 the priest,3548 and before6440 Joshua3091 the son1121 of Nun,5126 and before6440 the princes,5387 saying,559 The LORD3068 commanded6680 853 Moses4872 to give5414 us an inheritance5159 among8432 our brethren.251 Therefore according413 to the commandment6310 of the LORD3068 he gave5414 them an inheritance5159 among8432 the brethren251 of their father.1

5 And there fell5307 ten6235 portions2256 to Manasseh,4519 beside905 the land4480 776 of Gilead1568 and Bashan,1316 which834 were on the other side5676 Jordan;3383

6 Because3588 the daughters1323 of Manasseh4519 had an inheritance5157 5159 among8432 his sons:1121 and the rest3498 of Manasseh's4519 sons1121 had1961 the land776 of Gilead.1568

7 And the coast1366 of Manasseh4519 was1961 from Asher4480 836 to Michmethah,4366 that834 lieth before5921 6440 Shechem;7927 and the border1366 went along1980 on413 the right hand3225 unto413 the inhabitants3427 of En-tappuah.5887

8 Now Manasseh4519 had1961 the land776 of Tappuah:8599 but Tappuah8599 on413 the border1366 of Manasseh4519 belonged to the children1121 of Ephraim;669

9 And the coast1366 descended3381 unto the river5158 Kanah,7071 southward5045 of the river:5158 these428 cities5892 of Ephraim669 are among8432 the cities5892 of Manasseh:4519 the coast1366 of Manasseh4519 also was on the north side4480 6828 of the river,5158 and the outgoings8444 of it were1961 at the sea: 3220

10 Southward5045 it was Ephraim's,669 and northward6828 it was Manasseh's,4519 and the sea3220 is1961 his border;1366 and they met together6293 in Asher836 on the north,4480 6828 and in Issachar3485 on the east.4480 4217

11 And Manasseh4519 had1961 in Issachar3485 and in Asher836 Beth-shean1052 and her towns,1323 and Ibleam2991 and her towns,1323 and the inhabitants3427 of Dor1756 and her towns,1323 and the inhabitants3427 of Endor5874 and her towns,1323 and the inhabitants3427 of Taanach8590 and her towns,1323 and the inhabitants3427 of Megiddo4023 and her towns,1323 even three7969 countries.5316

12 Yet the children1121 of Manasseh4519 could3201 not3808 drive out3423 the inhabitants of853 those428 cities;5892 but the Canaanites3669 would2974 dwell3427 in that2088 land.776

13 Yet it came to pass,1961 when3588 the children1121 of Israel3478 were waxen strong,2388 that they put5414 853 the Canaanites3669 to tribute;4522 but did not3808 utterly drive them out.3423 3423

14 And the children1121 of Joseph3130 spoke1696 unto854 853 Joshua,3091 saying,559 Why4069 hast thou given5414 me but one259 lot1486 and one259 portion2256 to inherit,5159 seeing I589 am a great7227 people,5971 forasmuch5704 as the LORD3068 hath blessed1288 me hitherto?834 5704 3541

15 And Joshua3091 answered559 413 them, If518 thou859 be a great7227 people,5971 then get thee up5927 to the wood3293 country, and cut down1254 for thyself there8033 in the land776 of the Perizzites6522 and of the giants,7497 if3588 mount2022 Ephraim669 be too narrow213 for thee.

16 And the children1121 of Joseph3130 said,559 The hill2022 is not3808 enough4672 for us: and all3605 the Canaanites3669 that dwell3427 in the land776 of the valley6010 have chariots7393 of iron,1270 both they who834 are of Beth-shean1052 and her towns,1323 and they who834 are of the valley6010 of Jezreel.3157

17 And Joshua3091 spoke559 unto413 the house1004 of Joseph,3130 even to Ephraim669 and to Manasseh,4519 saying,559 Thou859 art a great7227 people,5971 and hast great1419 power:3581 thou shalt not3808 have1961 one259 lot1486 only:

18 But3588 the mountain2022 shall be1961 thine; for3588 it1931 is a wood,3293 and thou shalt cut it down:1254 and the outgoings8444 of it shall be1931 thine: for3588 thou shalt drive out3423 853 the Canaanites,3669 though3588 they have iron1270 chariots,7393 and though3588 they1931 be strong.2389

10 Морское побережье к югу от него принадлежало потомкам Ефрема, а к северу Манассии; море же было западной границей земель и тех, и других. На севере владения Манассии и Ефрема граничили с землями Асира, а на востоке — с землями Иссахара.

10 Southward5045 it was Ephraim's,669 and northward6828 it was Manasseh's,4519 and the sea3220 is1961 his border;1366 and they met together6293 in Asher836 on the north,4480 6828 and in Issachar3485 on the east.4480 4217

12 Однако не смогли потомки Манассии захватить эти города, и ханаанеи продолжали жить в тех землях.
