Глава 17

1 Вот какие владения отведены были по жребию колену Манассии (первенца Иосифа), то есть потомкам Махира (первенца Манассии), отца Гилада: достались им Гилад и Башан, потому что Махир был храбрым воином.

2 Жребием были назначены земли и для остальных потомков Манассии — для семейств Авиэзера и Хелека, Асриэля и Шехема, Хефера и Шемиды; все они были потомками Манассии, сына Иосифа, потомками колена Манассии по мужской линии.

3 У Целофхада, сына Хефера, внука Гилада, правнука Махира, праправнука Манассии, не было сыновей — только дочери. Имена дочерей его — Махла, Ноа, Хогла, Милка и Тирца.

4 Пришли они к Элеазару-священнику, Иисусу Навину и старейшинам и сказали: «Господь повелел еще через Моисея дать нам наследственный удел среди земель наших родственников». И, по повелению ГОСПОДА, Иисус определил наследие для них среди владений, что принадлежали братьям отца их.

5 Колену Манассии досталось десять удельных областей, помимо земель Гилада и Башана, находившихся за Иорданом,

6 потому что дочери Манассии получили наследие наравне с его сыновьями. А земля Гилад была отведена остальным потомкам Манассии.

7 Граница земель, принадлежавших колену Манассии, была такой: от Ашера до Михметата, что напротив Шехема, оттуда она сворачивала на юг, к Эн-Таппуаху.

8 Земли Таппуаха были собственностью потомков Манассии, однако сам город Таппуах, расположенный у границы владений Манассии, достался потомкам Ефрема.

9 Потом линия границы спускалась на юг, к потоку Кана. На южной стороне его долины были расположены города, выделенные потомкам Ефрема из числа городов, принадлежавших потомкам Манассии. Далее граница земель Манассии шла по северному берегу потока и выходила к Великому морю — их пределу на западе.

10 Морское побережье к югу от него принадлежало потомкам Ефрема, а к северу Манассии; море же было западной границей земель и тех, и других. На севере владения Манассии и Ефрема граничили с землями Асира, а на востоке — с землями Иссахара.

11 Среди владений Иссахара и Асира потомкам Манассии принадлежали Бет-Шеан с прилегавшими к нему селениями, Ивлеам с прилегавшими к нему селениями, жители Дора с прилегавшими к нему селениями, жители Эн-Дора с прилегавшими к нему селениями, а также жители Таанаха и Мегиддо с прилегавшими к нему селениями (другое название третьего по счету — Нафет).

12 Однако не смогли потомки Манассии захватить эти города, и ханаанеи продолжали жить в тех землях.

13 Когда же израильтяне прочно обосновались там, то заставили ханаанеев работать на себя, так и не изгнав их полностью.

14 Потомки Иосифа спросили Иисуса: «Почему ты выделил нам только один наследственный удел, только одну часть этой страны, когда нас так много? Ведь ГОСПОДЬ и по сей день посылает нам благословения, умножая наш род!»

15 «Если вас так много, то отправляйтесь в лес и расчищайте для себя надел в землях периззеев и рефаимов, — ответил им Иисус, — раз вам тесно в нагорье Ефрема».

16 «Этого нагорья мало для нас, — сказали потомки Иосифа, — а долину захватить мы не сможем. Ведь у всех ханаанеев, живущих в долине, есть окованные железом колесницы — и у тех, кто живет в Бет-Шеане, и в прилегающих к нему селениях, и в долине Изреэль».

17 Тогда Иисус сказал потомкам Иосифа, коленам Ефрема и Манассии: «У вас очень много людей, и большая сила у вас. Не только этим одним участком сможете вы овладеть.

18 Вся горная страна станет вашей. Очистите ее от леса и живите — весь край этот будет принадлежать вам. И вы изгоните прочь ханаанеев, даже если и сильны они и железные у них колесницы».

Chapter 17

1 AND Gilead became the lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the first-born of Joseph; to Machir the first-born of Manasseh, the father of Gilead; because he was the first-born and a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Mathnin.

2 And became also the portion for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the descendants of Abiezer and for the descendants of Helek and for the descendants of Neshrael and for the descendants of Shopam and for the descendants of Hepher and for the descendants of Shemida; these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families.

3 But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters; and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Joah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah.

4 And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes of Israel, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren; so he gave us according to the command of the LORD, among the brothers of our father. Now therefore give us an inheritance among the brethren of our father. So Joshua gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.

5 And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, besides the land of Gilead and Mathnin, which were on the other side of the Jordan;

6 Because the daughters of Manasseh received an inheritance among his sons; and the land of Gilead fell to the lot of the rest of the sons of Manasseh.

7 And the border of Manasseh was from the boundary of Maacath, which lies on the right hand of the inhabitants of En-tappuah.

8 Thus their land was in the region of Tappuah and Patah, which became the boundary to the descendants of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and to the Ephraimites;

9 And the boundary went down to the river of the Sea, to the south of the river of the cities which belong to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh; and the border of Manasseh ran on the north side of the river, and the outgoings thereof reached to the sea;

10 The land to the south went to Ephraim, and that to the north to Manasseh, and the sea as their border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east.

11 And Manasseh had opposite Issachar and Asher, Beth-shean and its towns, and Neb-leam and its towns, and En-dor and its towns, and Taanach and its towns, and Megiddo and its towns, three districts.

12 Yet the Israelites could not destroy these cities, because the Canaanites took refuge and dwelt in them.

13 But when the children of Israel became strong, they subdued the Canaanites and made them pay tribute; but did not utterly destroy them.

14 And the descendants of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, Why have you given us but one portion to inherit, seeing we are a numerous people, forasmuch as the LORD has blessed us hitherto?

15 Joshua said to them, If you are a numerous people, then go up on the side of the mountain, and choose for yourselves a portion in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim is too narrow for you.

16 And the descendants of Joseph said, The mountain and the cities of the Perizzites are not enough for us; for the Canaanites still dwell in the land of the valley, and in Beth-shean and its towns, and in the valley of Jezreel.

17 Then Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and Manasseh, saying, You are a numerous people, and have a great power; if one portion is not enough for you,

18 Then choose for yourselves the mountain, and it will be enough for you, and the slopes of the mountain and its limits shall be yours; and you shall destroy the Canaanites and the Perizzites, though they have great iron chariots, and though they are strong.

2 Жребием были назначены земли и для остальных потомков Манассии — для семейств Авиэзера и Хелека, Асриэля и Шехема, Хефера и Шемиды; все они были потомками Манассии, сына Иосифа, потомками колена Манассии по мужской линии.

2 And became also the portion for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the descendants of Abiezer and for the descendants of Helek and for the descendants of Neshrael and for the descendants of Shopam and for the descendants of Hepher and for the descendants of Shemida; these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families.

3 У Целофхада, сына Хефера, внука Гилада, правнука Махира, праправнука Манассии, не было сыновей — только дочери. Имена дочерей его — Махла, Ноа, Хогла, Милка и Тирца.

3 But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters; and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Joah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah.

4 Пришли они к Элеазару-священнику, Иисусу Навину и старейшинам и сказали: «Господь повелел еще через Моисея дать нам наследственный удел среди земель наших родственников». И, по повелению ГОСПОДА, Иисус определил наследие для них среди владений, что принадлежали братьям отца их.

4 And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes of Israel, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren; so he gave us according to the command of the LORD, among the brothers of our father. Now therefore give us an inheritance among the brethren of our father. So Joshua gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.

5 Колену Манассии досталось десять удельных областей, помимо земель Гилада и Башана, находившихся за Иорданом,

5 And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, besides the land of Gilead and Mathnin, which were on the other side of the Jordan;

6 потому что дочери Манассии получили наследие наравне с его сыновьями. А земля Гилад была отведена остальным потомкам Манассии.

6 Because the daughters of Manasseh received an inheritance among his sons; and the land of Gilead fell to the lot of the rest of the sons of Manasseh.

7 Граница земель, принадлежавших колену Манассии, была такой: от Ашера до Михметата, что напротив Шехема, оттуда она сворачивала на юг, к Эн-Таппуаху.

7 And the border of Manasseh was from the boundary of Maacath, which lies on the right hand of the inhabitants of En-tappuah.

8 Земли Таппуаха были собственностью потомков Манассии, однако сам город Таппуах, расположенный у границы владений Манассии, достался потомкам Ефрема.

8 Thus their land was in the region of Tappuah and Patah, which became the boundary to the descendants of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and to the Ephraimites;

9 And the boundary went down to the river of the Sea, to the south of the river of the cities which belong to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh; and the border of Manasseh ran on the north side of the river, and the outgoings thereof reached to the sea;

10 Морское побережье к югу от него принадлежало потомкам Ефрема, а к северу Манассии; море же было западной границей земель и тех, и других. На севере владения Манассии и Ефрема граничили с землями Асира, а на востоке — с землями Иссахара.

10 The land to the south went to Ephraim, and that to the north to Manasseh, and the sea as their border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east.

11 Среди владений Иссахара и Асира потомкам Манассии принадлежали Бет-Шеан с прилегавшими к нему селениями, Ивлеам с прилегавшими к нему селениями, жители Дора с прилегавшими к нему селениями, жители Эн-Дора с прилегавшими к нему селениями, а также жители Таанаха и Мегиддо с прилегавшими к нему селениями (другое название третьего по счету — Нафет).

11 And Manasseh had opposite Issachar and Asher, Beth-shean and its towns, and Neb-leam and its towns, and En-dor and its towns, and Taanach and its towns, and Megiddo and its towns, three districts.

12 Однако не смогли потомки Манассии захватить эти города, и ханаанеи продолжали жить в тех землях.

12 Yet the Israelites could not destroy these cities, because the Canaanites took refuge and dwelt in them.

13 Когда же израильтяне прочно обосновались там, то заставили ханаанеев работать на себя, так и не изгнав их полностью.

13 But when the children of Israel became strong, they subdued the Canaanites and made them pay tribute; but did not utterly destroy them.

14 Потомки Иосифа спросили Иисуса: «Почему ты выделил нам только один наследственный удел, только одну часть этой страны, когда нас так много? Ведь ГОСПОДЬ и по сей день посылает нам благословения, умножая наш род!»

14 And the descendants of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, Why have you given us but one portion to inherit, seeing we are a numerous people, forasmuch as the LORD has blessed us hitherto?

15 «Если вас так много, то отправляйтесь в лес и расчищайте для себя надел в землях периззеев и рефаимов, — ответил им Иисус, — раз вам тесно в нагорье Ефрема».

15 Joshua said to them, If you are a numerous people, then go up on the side of the mountain, and choose for yourselves a portion in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim is too narrow for you.

16 «Этого нагорья мало для нас, — сказали потомки Иосифа, — а долину захватить мы не сможем. Ведь у всех ханаанеев, живущих в долине, есть окованные железом колесницы — и у тех, кто живет в Бет-Шеане, и в прилегающих к нему селениях, и в долине Изреэль».

16 And the descendants of Joseph said, The mountain and the cities of the Perizzites are not enough for us; for the Canaanites still dwell in the land of the valley, and in Beth-shean and its towns, and in the valley of Jezreel.

17 Тогда Иисус сказал потомкам Иосифа, коленам Ефрема и Манассии: «У вас очень много людей, и большая сила у вас. Не только этим одним участком сможете вы овладеть.

17 Then Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and Manasseh, saying, You are a numerous people, and have a great power; if one portion is not enough for you,

18 Вся горная страна станет вашей. Очистите ее от леса и живите — весь край этот будет принадлежать вам. И вы изгоните прочь ханаанеев, даже если и сильны они и железные у них колесницы».

18 Then choose for yourselves the mountain, and it will be enough for you, and the slopes of the mountain and its limits shall be yours; and you shall destroy the Canaanites and the Perizzites, though they have great iron chariots, and though they are strong.
