4 Народы о нём услышали; он попался к ним в ямуи крюками уведён был в землю Египта.
5 Увидев, что рухнули её ожидания, что погибла её надежда,взяла она другого из львят и вырастила львом молодым.
6 Он рыскал с другими львами, львом молодым он стал.Он научился ловить добычу, пожирал людей.
7 Он разорял их крепости и опустошал города;земля со всеми, кто жил в ней, рёва его боялась.
8 Но пошли на него народы из областей окрестных;сеть на него раскинули, в яму к ним он попался.
9 Крюками в клетку его втащили и отвезли к царю Вавилона;посадили его под стражу, чтобы рёв его больше не раздавался над горами Исраила.
10 Твоя мать была, точно лоза в винограднике, посаженная у воды;плодоносной была она и ветвистой от изобилия воды.
11 Ветви её были крепкими, годились на жезл правителя.Высоко поднимался ствол её над густою листвой.Она красовалась своей высотой и богатой порослью.
12 Но была она с яростью вырвана и на землю повергнута.Восточный ветер её иссушил, и плоды с неё обобрали;её крепкие ветви засохли, и поглотил их огонь.
13 Теперь в пустыню она пересажена, в землю бездождья и жажды.
14 Из ствола её вышел огонь и поглотил её плод.Нет на ней больше крепких ветвей, годных на жезл правителя».Это плач, и пусть им оплакивают.

5 Now when she saw7200 that she had waited,3176 and her hope8615 was lost,6 then she took3947 another259 of her whelps,1482 and made7760 him a young3715 lion.3715
6 And he went1980 up and down among8432 the lions,738 he became1961 a young3715 lion,3715 and learned3925 to catch2963 the prey,2964 and devoured398 men.120
7 And he knew3045 their desolate490 palaces, and he laid waste2717 their cities;5892 and the land776 was desolate,3456 and the fullness4393 thereof, by the noise6963 of his roaring.7581
8 Then the nations1471 set5414 against5921 him on every5437 side5439 from the provinces,4082 and spread6566 their net7568 over5921 him: he was taken8610 in their pit.7845

11 And she had1961 strong5797 rods4294 for the scepters7626 of them that bore4910 rule,4910 and her stature6967 was exalted1361 among5921996 the thick5688 branches,5688 and she appeared7200 in her height1363 with the multitude7230 of her branches.1808
12 But she was plucked5428 up in fury,2534 she was cast7993 down to the ground,776 and the east6921 wind7307 dried3001 up her fruit:6529 her strong5797 rods4294 were broken6561 and withered;3001 the fire784 consumed398 them.
13 And now6258 she is planted8362 in the wilderness,4057 in a dry6723 and thirsty6772 ground.776
