Глава 27

1 Когда Исаак состарился и глаза его так ослабли, что он ничего больше не видел, он позвал Исава, своего старшего сына, и сказал ему: — Сын мой! — Я здесь, — ответил Исав.

2 Исаак сказал: — Я уже стар, и не знаю дня смерти.

3 Возьми же свое оружие — колчан и лук — и выйди в поле добыть мне дичи.

4 Приготовь мою любимую еду и принеси мне поесть, чтобы я благословил тебя перед смертью.

5 Ревекка слышала, как Исаак говорил со своим сыном Исавом, и когда Исав ушел в поле, чтобы настрелять и принести дичи,

6 Ревекка сказала своему сыну Иакову: — Я слышала, как твой отец сказал твоему брату Исаву:

7 «Принеси дичи и приготовь мне вкусной еды, чтобы я благословил тебя перед Господом, прежде чем умру».

8 Слушай же меня внимательно, сын мой, и делай, как я тебе скажу.

9 Пойди к стаду и принеси мне двух лучших козлят, чтобы мне приготовить вкусную еду для твоего отца, такую, как он любит.

10 Потом отнеси ее отцу, он поест и благословит тебя перед смертью.

11 Иаков сказал Ревекке, своей матери: — Но мой брат Исав весь волосат, а у меня кожа гладкая.

12 Что, если отец ощупает меня? Я окажусь перед ним обманщиком и скорее навлеку на себя проклятие, а не благословение.

13 Мать сказала ему: — Проклятие пусть будет на мне, сын мой, а ты делай, как я говорю: пойди и принеси козлят.

14 Он пошел, взял козлят и принес их матери, и она приготовила вкусную еду, такую, как любил его отец.

15 Потом Ревекка взяла лучшую одежду своего старшего сына Исава, какая была у нее в доме, и надела на младшего, Иакова,

16 а его руки и гладкую часть шеи покрыла шкурами козлят.

17 Затем она дала своему сыну Иакову вкусную еду и хлеб, которые приготовила.

18 Он пришел к отцу и сказал: — Отец мой. — Вот я, — ответил тот. — Ты который из моих сыновей?

19 Иаков сказал отцу: — Я — Исав, твой первенец. Я сделал, как ты сказал. Прошу, приподнимись, сядь и поешь моей дичи, чтобы ты мог благословить меня.

20 Исаак спросил сына: — Как же ты нашел ее так быстро, сын мой? — Господь, твой Бог, даровал мне успех, — ответил он.

21 Исаак сказал Иакову: — Подойди ближе, чтобы мне ощупать тебя, сын мой, действительно ли ты мой сын Исав или нет.

22 Иаков подошел ближе к своему отцу Исааку, который ощупал его и сказал: — Голос — как голос Иакова, но руки — как руки Исава.

23 Он не узнал его, потому что руки у него были волосатые, как у Исава, и он благословил его.

24 — Действительно ли ты сын мой Исав? — спросил Исаак, и он ответил: — Да, это я.

30 Как только Исаак закончил благословение и едва лишь Иаков вышел от отца, как пришел с охоты его брат Исав.

31 Он тоже приготовил вкусной еды и принес отцу. Он сказал ему: — Отец, приподнимись, сядь и поешь моей дичи, а потом благослови меня.

32 Его отец Исаак спросил: — Кто ты? — Я твой сын, — ответил он, — твой первенец, Исав.

33 Исаак весь задрожал и сказал: — Кто же был тот другой, который добыл дичи и принес мне? Я ел ее как раз перед твоим приходом и благословил его. Он теперь и будет благословен!

34 Услышав слова отца, Исав громко и горько закричал, и сказал отцу: — Благослови и меня, и меня тоже, отец!

35 Но тот ответил: — Твой брат пришел с хитростью и отнял у тебя благословение.

36 Исав сказал: — Не по праву ли он назван Иаковом? Дважды он обошел меня: взял мое первородство, а теперь и мое благословение! И спросил: — Не осталось ли у тебя благословения и для меня?

37 Исаак ответил Исаву: — Я сделал его господином над тобой, и всю его родню отдал ему в слуги, и одарил его хлебом и молодым вином. Что же я могу теперь сделать для тебя, мой сын?

38 Исав сказал отцу: — У тебя что же, только одно благословение, отец? Благослови и меня, отец мой! И громко заплакал.

39 Его отец Исаак ответил ему: — Будет обитание твое вдали от плодородия земли, вдали от росы небесной свыше.

40 Ты будешь жить мечом и будешь служить своему брату. Но когда ты восстанешь, ты сбросишь его ярмо со своей шеи.

41 Исав затаил злобу на Иакова из-за благословения, которое дал ему отец, и сказал себе: «Дни плача по отцу близки — тогда я убью моего брата Иакова».

42 Ревекке передали, что сказал ее старший сын Исав, и она послала за младшим сыном, Иаковом, и сказала ему: — Твой брат Исав утешает себя мыслью убить тебя.

43 Мой сын, сделай, как я скажу: немедленно беги в Харран к моему брату Лавану.

Chapter 27

1 AND it came to pass, when Isaac was old and his eyes were dim so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said to him, My son; and he said to him, Behold, here I am.

2 And Isaac said to him, Behold now, I am old, and I do not know the day of my death;

3 Now therefore take your weapons, your sword and your bow, and go out into the field and hunt game;

4 And make me stewed meat, such as I like, and bring it to me, that I may eat, that my soul may bless you before I die.

5 And Rebekah heard when Isaac spoke to Esau his son. So Esau went to the field to hunt game and to bring it.

6 Then Rebekah said to Jacob her son, Behold, I heard your father say to Esau your brother,

7 Bring me game, and make me stewed meat, that I may eat and bless you in the presence of the LORD before I die.

8 Now therefore, my son, listen to me according to that which I command you.

9 Go now to the flock, and bring me from there two kids of the goats; and I will make from them stew for your father, such as he likes;

10 And you shall bring it to your father, that he may eat, and that he may bless you in the presence of the LORD before his death.

11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man and I am a smooth man;

12 Perhaps my father will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a mocker; and I Shall bring a curse upon myself, and not a blessing.

13 And his mother said to him, Let your curses be upon me, my son; only listen to me, and go and fetch them to me.

14 So he went and picked them up, and brought them to his mother; and his mother made a stew, such as his father liked.

15 And Rebekah took the best clothes of her elder son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son;

16 And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the back of his neck;

17 And she gave the stew and the bread which she had prepared into the hand of her son Jacob.

18 And he brought them in to his father, and said, My father; and he said, Here am I. Then he said, Who are you, my son?

19 And Jacob said to his father, I am Esau, your first-born; I have done as you told me; now arise and sit up and eat of my game, that your soul may bless me.

20 And Isaac said to his son, How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD your God brought it my way.

21 Then Isaac said to Jacob his son, Come near me, that I may feel you, my son, to know whether you are my son Esau or not.

22 And Jacob drew near to Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are Esau's.

23 But he did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy, like his brother Esau's hands; so he blessed him.

24 And he said, Are you my very son Esau? And Jacob said, I am.

25 And he said, Bring the stew near to me, and I will eat of my son's game, that my soul may bless you. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat; and he brought him wine, and he drank.

26 And his father Isaac said to him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son; so he drew near and kissed him;

27 And he came near, and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his garments, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed;

28 Therefore may God give you of the dew of heaven and the richness of the earth, and the abundance of wheat and wine;

29 Let people serve you, and nations bow down to you; be a prince over your brethren, and let your mother's sons bow down to you; cursed be they who curse you, and blessed be they who bless you.

30 And it came to pass when Isaac had finished blessing Jacob and Jacob had gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, behold, Esau his brother came in from his hunting.

31 And he also made stew, and brought it to his father, and said to his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son's game, that your soul may bless me.

32 And Isaac his father said to him, Who are you? And he said, I am your son, your first-born, Esau.

33 And Isaac was greatly alarmed, and said, Who was it then that hunted game and brought it to me? I have eaten of everything before you came, and I have blessed him, yea, and he shall be blessed.

34 And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried out bitterly, and said to his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

35 But his father said, Your brother came with deceit, and has already received your blessing.

36 And Esau said, Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has acted treacherously toward me twice: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he has taken away my blessing. And Esau said to his father, Have you not reserved a blessing for me?

37 And Isaac answered and said to Esau, Behold, I have made him a prince over you, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with wheat and wine have I sustained him; and what shall I do now for you, my son?

38 And Esau said to his father, Have you only one blessing, my father? Bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.

39 And Isaac his father answered and said to him, Behold, your dwelling shall be in the fertile places of the earth, and the dew of heaven shall fall upon you from above;

40 And by your sword you shall live, and you shall serve your brother; but if you shall repent, his yoke shall pass away from off your neck.

41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessings with which his father had blessed him; and Esau said in his heart, After the days of mourning for my father are over, then I will slay my brother Jacob.

42 And the words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah; so she sent and called her younger son Jacob, and said to him, Behold, your brother Esau is threatening to kill you.

43 Now therefore, my son, hearken to me; and arise, and go to Laban my brother, to Haran;

44 And stay there a few days, until your brother's fury is spent;

45 Until your brother's anger turns away from you, and he forgets what you have done to him; then I will send messengers, and bring you back from there; lest I be deprived also of both of you in one day.

46 Then Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob takes a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good will my life be to me?

5 And Rebekah heard when Isaac spoke to Esau his son. So Esau went to the field to hunt game and to bring it.

6 Then Rebekah said to Jacob her son, Behold, I heard your father say to Esau your brother,

7 «Принеси дичи и приготовь мне вкусной еды, чтобы я благословил тебя перед Господом, прежде чем умру».

7 Bring me game, and make me stewed meat, that I may eat and bless you in the presence of the LORD before I die.

8 Слушай же меня внимательно, сын мой, и делай, как я тебе скажу.

8 Now therefore, my son, listen to me according to that which I command you.

9 Пойди к стаду и принеси мне двух лучших козлят, чтобы мне приготовить вкусную еду для твоего отца, такую, как он любит.

9 Go now to the flock, and bring me from there two kids of the goats; and I will make from them stew for your father, such as he likes;

10 And you shall bring it to your father, that he may eat, and that he may bless you in the presence of the LORD before his death.

11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man and I am a smooth man;

12 Что, если отец ощупает меня? Я окажусь перед ним обманщиком и скорее навлеку на себя проклятие, а не благословение.

12 Perhaps my father will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a mocker; and I Shall bring a curse upon myself, and not a blessing.

13 Мать сказала ему: — Проклятие пусть будет на мне, сын мой, а ты делай, как я говорю: пойди и принеси козлят.

13 And his mother said to him, Let your curses be upon me, my son; only listen to me, and go and fetch them to me.

14 So he went and picked them up, and brought them to his mother; and his mother made a stew, such as his father liked.

15 And Rebekah took the best clothes of her elder son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son;

16 а его руки и гладкую часть шеи покрыла шкурами козлят.

16 And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the back of his neck;

17 Затем она дала своему сыну Иакову вкусную еду и хлеб, которые приготовила.

17 And she gave the stew and the bread which she had prepared into the hand of her son Jacob.

18 Он пришел к отцу и сказал: — Отец мой. — Вот я, — ответил тот. — Ты который из моих сыновей?

18 And he brought them in to his father, and said, My father; and he said, Here am I. Then he said, Who are you, my son?

19 Иаков сказал отцу: — Я — Исав, твой первенец. Я сделал, как ты сказал. Прошу, приподнимись, сядь и поешь моей дичи, чтобы ты мог благословить меня.

19 And Jacob said to his father, I am Esau, your first-born; I have done as you told me; now arise and sit up and eat of my game, that your soul may bless me.

20 Исаак спросил сына: — Как же ты нашел ее так быстро, сын мой? — Господь, твой Бог, даровал мне успех, — ответил он.

20 And Isaac said to his son, How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD your God brought it my way.

21 Исаак сказал Иакову: — Подойди ближе, чтобы мне ощупать тебя, сын мой, действительно ли ты мой сын Исав или нет.

21 Then Isaac said to Jacob his son, Come near me, that I may feel you, my son, to know whether you are my son Esau or not.

22 Иаков подошел ближе к своему отцу Исааку, который ощупал его и сказал: — Голос — как голос Иакова, но руки — как руки Исава.

22 And Jacob drew near to Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are Esau's.

23 But he did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy, like his brother Esau's hands; so he blessed him.

24 And he said, Are you my very son Esau? And Jacob said, I am.

25 And he said, Bring the stew near to me, and I will eat of my son's game, that my soul may bless you. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat; and he brought him wine, and he drank.

26 Потом его отец Исаак сказал ему: — Подойди, сын мой, и поцелуй меня.

26 And his father Isaac said to him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son; so he drew near and kissed him;

27 Он подошел и поцеловал его. Исаак почувствовал запах его одежды и благословил его, сказав: — Ах, запах моего сына, как запах поля, которое благословил Господь.

27 And he came near, and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his garments, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed;

28 Пусть даст тебе Бог от небесной росы и от плодородия земли в изобилии зерна и молодого вина.

28 Therefore may God give you of the dew of heaven and the richness of the earth, and the abundance of wheat and wine;

29 Да служат тебе племена, и да поклонятся тебе народы. Будь господином над твоими братьями, и да склонятся перед тобой сыновья твоей матери. Да будет проклят проклинающий тебя, а благословляющий да будет благословен.

29 Let people serve you, and nations bow down to you; be a prince over your brethren, and let your mother's sons bow down to you; cursed be they who curse you, and blessed be they who bless you.

30 Как только Исаак закончил благословение и едва лишь Иаков вышел от отца, как пришел с охоты его брат Исав.

30 And it came to pass when Isaac had finished blessing Jacob and Jacob had gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, behold, Esau his brother came in from his hunting.

31 Он тоже приготовил вкусной еды и принес отцу. Он сказал ему: — Отец, приподнимись, сядь и поешь моей дичи, а потом благослови меня.

31 And he also made stew, and brought it to his father, and said to his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son's game, that your soul may bless me.

32 Его отец Исаак спросил: — Кто ты? — Я твой сын, — ответил он, — твой первенец, Исав.

32 And Isaac his father said to him, Who are you? And he said, I am your son, your first-born, Esau.

33 Исаак весь задрожал и сказал: — Кто же был тот другой, который добыл дичи и принес мне? Я ел ее как раз перед твоим приходом и благословил его. Он теперь и будет благословен!

33 And Isaac was greatly alarmed, and said, Who was it then that hunted game and brought it to me? I have eaten of everything before you came, and I have blessed him, yea, and he shall be blessed.

34 Услышав слова отца, Исав громко и горько закричал, и сказал отцу: — Благослови и меня, и меня тоже, отец!

34 And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried out bitterly, and said to his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

35 Но тот ответил: — Твой брат пришел с хитростью и отнял у тебя благословение.

35 But his father said, Your brother came with deceit, and has already received your blessing.

37 And Isaac answered and said to Esau, Behold, I have made him a prince over you, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with wheat and wine have I sustained him; and what shall I do now for you, my son?

38 Исав сказал отцу: — У тебя что же, только одно благословение, отец? Благослови и меня, отец мой! И громко заплакал.

38 And Esau said to his father, Have you only one blessing, my father? Bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.

39 Его отец Исаак ответил ему: — Будет обитание твое вдали от плодородия земли, вдали от росы небесной свыше.

42 And the words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah; so she sent and called her younger son Jacob, and said to him, Behold, your brother Esau is threatening to kill you.

43 Мой сын, сделай, как я скажу: немедленно беги в Харран к моему брату Лавану.

43 Now therefore, my son, hearken to me; and arise, and go to Laban my brother, to Haran;

44 Поживи у него какое-то время, пока не утихнет ярость твоего брата;

44 And stay there a few days, until your brother's fury is spent;
