1 Після того Ісус перейшов на той бік Галілейського чи Тіверія́дського моря.

2 А за Ним ішла бе́зліч народу, бо бачили чу́да Його, що чинив над недужими.

3 Ісус же на го́ру зійшов, і сидів там зо Своїми учнями.

4 Наближа́лася ж Пасха, свято юдейське.

5 А Ісус, звівши очі Свої та побачивши, яка бе́зліч наро́ду до Нього йде, говорить Пилипові: „Де́ ми купимо хліба, щоб вони поживи́лись?“

6 Він же це говорив, його випробо́вуючи, бо знав Сам, що́ Він має робити.

7 Пилип Йому відповідь дав: „І за двісті дина́ріїв їм хліба не стане, щоб кожен із них бодай тро́хи дістав“.

8 Говорить до Нього Андрій, один з учнів Його, брат Си́мона Петра:

9 „Є тут хлопчи́на один, що має п'ять я́чних хлібів та дві рибі, але що́ то на бе́зліч таку!“

10 А Ісус відказав: „Скажіть лю́дям сідати!“ А була на тім місці велика трава. І засіло чоловіка числом із п'ять тисяч.

11 А Ісус узяв хліби́, і, подяку вчинивши, роздав тим, хто сидів. Так само і з риб, скільки хотіли вони.

12 І, як наїлись вони, Він говорить до учнів Своїх: „Позбирайте куски позоста́лі, щоб ніщо не загинуло“.

13 І зібрали вони. І дванадцять повних кошів наклали кусків, що лишились їдця́м із п'яти я́чних хлібів.

14 А люди, що бачили чудо, яке Ісус учинив, гомоніли: „Це Той справді Пророк, що повинен прибути на світ!“

15 Спостерігши ж Ісус, що вони мають за́мір прийти та забрати Його, щоб настанови́ти царем, знов на го́ру пішов Сам один.

16 А як вечір настав, то зійшли Його учні над море.

17 І, ввійшовши до чо́вна, на другий бік моря вони попливли́, до Капернау́му. І те́мрява вже наступила була́, а Ісус ще до них не прихо́див.

18 Від великого ж вітру, що віяв, хвилюва́лося море.

19 Як вони ж пропливли́ стадій із двадцять п'ять або з тридцять, то Ісуса побачили, що йде Він по морю, і до чо́вна зближається, — і їх страх обгорну́в.

20 Він же каже до них: „Це Я, — не лякайтесь!“

21 І хотіли вони взяти до чо́вна Його; та чо́вен зараз пристав до землі, до якої пливли́.

22 А наступного дня той наро́д, що на тім боці моря стояв, побачив, що там іншого чо́вна, крім одно́го того́, що до нього ввійшли були учні Його, не було́, і що до чо́вна не вхо́див Ісус із Своїми учнями, але відпливли́ самі учні.

23 А тим ча́сом із Тіверія́ди припливли́ човни́ інші близько до місця того, де вони їли хліб, як Господь учинив був подяку.

24 Отож, як побачили люди, що Ісуса та учнів Його там нема, то в човни́ посідали самі й прибули́ до Капернауму, — і шукали Ісуса.

25 І, на тім боці моря знайшовши Його, сказали Йому: „Коли Ти прибув сюди, Учителю?“

26 Відповів їм Ісус і сказав: „Поправді, поправді кажу́ вам: Мене не тому ви шукаєте, що бачили чуда, а що їли з хлібів і наси́тились.

27 Пильнуйте не про пожи́ву, що гине, але про поживу, що зостається на вічне життя, яку дасть нам Син Лю́дський, бо запечатав Його Бог Отець“.

28 Сказали ж до Нього вони: „Що́ ми маємо почати, щоб роби́ти діла Божі?“

29 Ісус відповів і сказав їм: „Оце діло Боже, — щоб у Того ви вірували, Кого Він послав“.

30 А вони відказали Йому: „Яке ж знаме́но Ти чиниш, щоб побачили ми й поняли́ Тобі віри? Що Ти робиш?“

31 Наші отці́ їли ма́нну в пустині, як написано: „Хліб із неба їм дав на поживу“.

32 А Ісус їм сказав: „Поправді, поправді кажу́ вам: Не Мойсей хліб із неба вам дав, — Мій Отець дає вам хліб правдивий із неба.

33 Бо хліб Божий є Той, Хто сходить із неба й дає життя світові“.

34 А вони відказали до Нього: „Давай, Господи, хліба такого нам за́вжди!“

35 Ісус же сказав їм: „Я — хліб життя. Хто до Мене прихо́дить, — не голодува́тиме він, а хто вірує в Мене, — ніко́ли не пра́гнутиме.

36 Але Я вам сказав, що Мене хоч ви й бачили, та не віруєте.

37 Усе при́йде до Мене, що Отець дає Мені, а того, хто до Мене приходить, Я не вижену геть.

38 Бо Я з неба зійшов не на те, щоб волю чинити Свою, але волю Того, Хто послав Мене.

39 Оце ж воля Того, Хто послав Мене, — щоб з усього, що дав Мені Він, Я нічого не стратив, але воскреси́в те останнього дня.

40 Оце ж воля Мого Отця, — щоб усякий, хто Сина бачить та вірує в Нього, мав вічне життя, — і того воскрешу́ Я останнього дня“.

41 Тоді стали юдеї ре́мствувати на Нього, що сказав: „Я той хліб, що з неба зійшов“.

42 І казали вони: „Хіба Він не Ісус, син Йо́сипів, що ми знаємо батька та матір Його? Як же Він каже: Я з неба зійшов?“

43 А Ісус відповів і промовив до них: „Не ремствуйте ви між собою!

44 Ніхто бо не може до Мене прийти, як Отець, що послав Мене, не притягне його, — і того воскрешу́ Я останнього дня.

45 У Пророків написано: „І всі бу́дуть від Бога навче́ні.“ Кожен, хто від Бога почув і навчився, приходить до Мене.

46 Це не значить, щоб хтось Отця бачив, — тільки Той Отця бачив, Хто походить від Бога.

47 Поправді, поправді кажу́ Вам: Хто вірує в Мене, — життя вічне той має.

48 Я — хліб життя!

49 Отці ваші в пустині їли манну, — і померли.

50 То є хліб, Який сходить із неба, — щоб не вмер, хто Його споживає.

51 Я — хліб живий, що з неба зійшов: коли хто споживатиме хліб цей, той повік буде жити. А хліб, що дам Я, то є тіло Моє, яке Я за життя світу дам“.

52 Тоді між собою змагатися стали юдеї, говорячи: „Як же Він може дати нам тіла спожити?“

53 І сказав їм Ісус: „Поправді, поправді кажу вам: Якщо ви споживати не будете тіла Сина Лю́дського й пити не будете крови Його, то в собі ви не будете мати життя.

54 Хто тіло Моє споживає та кров Мою п'є, той має вічне життя, — і того воскрешу́ Я останнього дня.

55 Бо тіло Моє — то правдиво пожива, Моя ж кров — то правдиво пиття.

56 Хто тіло Моє споживає та кров Мою п'є, той в Мені перебува́є, а Я в ньому.

57 Як Живий Отець послав Мене, і живу Я Отцем, так і той, хто Мене споживає, і він житиме Мною.

58 То є хліб, що з неба зійшов. Не як ваші отці їли ма́нну й померли, — хто цей хліб споживає, той жити буде пові́к!“

59 Оце Він говорив, коли в Капернаумі навчав у синагозі.

60 А багато-хто з учнів Його, як почули оце, гомоніли: „Жорстока це мова! Хто́ слухати може її?“

61 А Ісус, Сам у Собі знавши це, що учні Його на те ре́мствують, промовив до них: „Чи оце вас споку́шує?

62 А що ж, як побачите Лю́дського Сина, що сходить туди, де перше Він був?

63 То Дух, що ожи́влює, тіло ж не помагає нічого. Слова́, що їх Я говорив вам, то дух і життя.

64 Але є дехто з вас, хто не вірує“. Бо Ісус знав споча́тку, хто ті, хто не вірує, і хто видасть Його.

65 І сказав Він: „Я тому́ й говорив вам, що до Мене прибути не може ніхто, як не буде йому від Отця да́не те“.

66 Із того ча́су відпали багато-хто з учнів Його, і не ходили вже з Ним.

67 І сказав Ісус Дванадцятьо́м: „Чи не хочете й ви́ відійти?“

68 Відповів Йому Си́мон Петро: „До ко́го ми пі́демо, Господи? Ти маєш слова́ життя вічного.

69 Ми ж увірували та пізнали, що Ти — Христос, Син Бога Живого!“

70 Відповів їм Ісус: „Чи не Дванадцятьо́х Я вас вибрав? Та один із вас дия́вол“.

71 Це сказав Він про Юду, сина Си́монового, Іскаріо́та. Бо цей мав Його видати, хоч він був один із Дванадцятьо́х.

2 And a great4183 multitude3793 followed190 him, because3754 they saw3708 his miracles4592 which3739 he did4160 on1909 them that were diseased.770

3 And Jesus2424 went424 up into1519 a mountain,3735 and there1563 he sat2521 with his disciples.3101

4 And the passover,3957 a feast1859 of the Jews,2453 was near.1451

5 When Jesus2424 then3767 lifted1869 up his eyes,3788 and saw2300 a great4183 company3793 come2064 to him, he said3004 to Philip,5376 From where4159 shall we buy59 bread,740 that these3778 may eat?5315

6 And this5124 he said3004 to prove3985 him: for he himself846 knew1492 what5101 he would3195 do.4160

7 Philip5376 answered611 him, Two1250 hundred1250 pennyworth1220 of bread740 is not sufficient714 for them, that every1538 one of them may take2983 a little.1024

8 One1520 of his disciples,3101 Andrew,406 Simon4613 Peter's4074 brother,80 said3004 to him,

9 There is a lad3808 here,5602 which3739 has2192 five4002 barley2916 loaves,740 and two1417 small3795 fishes:3795 but what5101 are they among1519 so5118 many?5118

10 And Jesus2424 said,2036 Make4160 the men444 sit377 down.377 Now1161 there was much4183 grass5528 in the place.5117 So3767 the men435 sat377 down,377 in number706 about5616 five4000 thousand.4000

11 And Jesus2424 took2983 the loaves;740 and when he had given thanks,2168 he distributed1239 to the disciples,3101 and the disciples3101 to them that were set345 down;345 and likewise3668 of the fishes3795 as much3745 as they would.2309

12 When5613 they were filled,1705 he said3004 to his disciples,3101 Gather4863 up the fragments2801 that remain,4052 that nothing3361 5100 be lost.622

13 Therefore3767 they gathered4863 them together,4863 and filled1072 twelve1427 baskets2894 with the fragments2801 of the five4002 barley2916 loaves,740 which3739 remained4052 over4052 and above to them that had eaten.977

15 When Jesus2424 therefore3767 perceived1097 that they would3195 come2064 and take726 him by force,726 to make4160 him a king,935 he departed402 again3825 into1519 a mountain3735 himself846 alone.3441

16 And when5613 even3798 was now come,1096 his disciples3101 went2597 down2597 to the sea,2281

17 And entered1684 into1519 a ship,4143 and went2064 over4008 the sea2281 toward1519 Capernaum.2584 And it was now2235 dark,4653 and Jesus2424 was not come2064 to them.

18 And the sea2281 arose1326 by reason of a great3173 wind417 that blew.4154

19 So3767 when they had rowed1643 about5613 five4002 and twenty1501 or2228 thirty5144 furlongs,4712 they see2334 Jesus2424 walking4043 on1909 the sea,2281 and drawing1096 near1451 to the ship:4143 and they were afraid.5399

20 But he said3004 to them, It is I; be not afraid.5399

21 Then3767 they willingly2309 received2983 him into1519 the ship:4143 and immediately2112 the ship4143 was at1909 the land1093 where1519 3739 they went.5217

24 When3753 the people3793 therefore3767 saw1492 that Jesus2424 was not there,1563 neither3761 his disciples,3101 they also2532 took1684 1519 shipping,4143 and came2064 to Capernaum,2584 seeking2212 for Jesus.2424

25 And when4218 they had found2147 him on the other4008 side4008 of the sea,2281 they said2036 to him, Rabbi,4461 when came1096 you here?5602

26 Jesus2424 answered611 them and said,2036 Truly,281 truly,281 I say3004 to you, You seek2212 me, not because3754 you saw1492 the miracles,4592 but because3754 you did eat5315 of the loaves,740 and were filled.5526

27 Labor2038 not for the meat1035 which3588 perishes,622 but for that meat1035 which3588 endures3306 to everlasting166 life,2222 which3739 the Son5207 of man444 shall give1325 to you: for him has God2316 the Father3962 sealed.4972

28 Then3767 said2036 they to him, What5101 shall we do,4160 that we might work2038 the works2041 of God?2316

29 Jesus2424 answered611 and said2036 to them, This5124 is the work2041 of God,2316 that you believe4100 on1519 him whom3739 he has sent.649

30 They said2036 therefore3767 to him, What5101 sign4592 show4160 you then,3767 that we may see,1492 and believe4100 you? what5101 do you work?2038

31 Our fathers3962 did eat5315 manna3131 in the desert;2048 as it is written,1125 He gave1325 them bread740 from heaven3772 to eat.5315

32 Then3767 Jesus2424 said2036 to them, Truly,281 truly,281 I say3004 to you, Moses3475 gave1325 you not that bread740 from heaven;3772 but my Father3962 gives1325 you the true228 bread740 from heaven.3772

33 For the bread740 of God2316 is he which3588 comes2597 down2597 from heaven,3772 and gives1325 life2222 to the world.2889

34 Then3767 said2036 they to him, Lord,2962 ever more3842 give1325 us this5126 bread.740

35 And Jesus2424 said2036 to them, I am1510 the bread740 of life:2222 he that comes2064 to me shall never165 hunger;3983 and he that believes4100 on1519 me shall never3364 4455 thirst.1372

37 All3956 that the Father3962 gives1325 me shall come2240 to me; and him that comes2064 to me I will in no3364 wise cast1544 out.

39 And this5124 is the Father's3962 will2307 which3588 has sent3992 me, that of all3956 which he has given1325 me I should lose622 nothing,3361 848 but should raise450 it up again450 at1722 the last2078 day.2250

41 The Jews2453 then3767 murmured1111 at4012 him, because3754 he said,2036 I am1510 the bread740 which3588 came2597 down2597 from heaven.3772

42 And they said,3004 Is not this3778 Jesus,2424 the son5207 of Joseph,2501 whose3739 father3962 and mother3384 we know?1492 how4459 is it then3767 that he said,3004 I came2597 down2597 from heaven?3772

43 Jesus2424 therefore3767 answered611 and said2036 to them, Murmur1111 not among3326 yourselves.240

44 No3762 man3762 can1410 come2064 to me, except3362 the Father3962 which3588 has sent3992 me draw1670 him: and I will raise450 him up at the last2078 day.2250

54 Whoever3588 eats5176 my flesh,4561 and drinks4095 my blood,129 has2192 eternal166 life;2222 and I will raise450 him up at the last2078 day.2250

55 For my flesh4561 is meat1035 indeed,230 and my blood129 is drink4215 indeed.230

56 He that eats5176 my flesh,4561 and drinks4095 my blood,129 dwells3306 in me, and I in him.

57 As the living2198 Father3962 has sent649 me, and I live2198 by the Father:3962 so2532 he that eats5176 me, even2548 he shall live2198 by me.

58 This3778 is that bread740 which3588 came2597 down2597 from heaven:3772 not as your5216 fathers3962 did eat5315 manna,3131 and are dead:599 he that eats5176 of this5126 bread740 shall live2198 for ever.165

59 These5023 things said2036 he in the synagogue,4864 as he taught1321 in Capernaum.2584

60 Many4183 therefore3767 of his disciples,3101 when they had heard191 this, said,2036 This3778 is an hard4642 saying;3056 who5101 can1410 hear191 it?

61 When Jesus2424 knew1492 in himself1438 that his disciples3101 murmured1111 at4012 it, he said2036 to them, Does this5124 offend4624 you?

62 What and if1437 you shall see2334 the Son5207 of man444 ascend305 up where3699 he was before?4386

63 It is the spirit4151 that vivifies;2227 the flesh4561 profits5623 nothing:3762 the words4487 that I speak2980 to you, they are spirit,4151 and they are life.2222

64 But there are some5100 of you that believe4100 not. For Jesus2424 knew1492 from the beginning746 who5101 they were that believed4100 not, and who5101 should betray3860 him.

65 And he said,3004 Therefore1223 5124 said2046 I to you, that no3762 man3762 can1410 come2064 to me, except3362 it were given1325 to him of my Father.3962

14 А люди, що бачили чудо, яке Ісус учинив, гомоніли: „Це Той справді Пророк, що повинен прибути на світ!“

14 Then3767 those3588 men,444 when they had seen1492 the miracle4592 that Jesus2424 did,4160 said,3004 This3778 is of a truth230 that prophet4396 that should come2064 into1519 the world.2889

15 Спостерігши ж Ісус, що вони мають за́мір прийти та забрати Його, щоб настанови́ти царем, знов на го́ру пішов Сам один.

15 When Jesus2424 therefore3767 perceived1097 that they would3195 come2064 and take726 him by force,726 to make4160 him a king,935 he departed402 again3825 into1519 a mountain3735 himself846 alone.3441

16 А як вечір настав, то зійшли Його учні над море.

16 And when5613 even3798 was now come,1096 his disciples3101 went2597 down2597 to the sea,2281

17 І, ввійшовши до чо́вна, на другий бік моря вони попливли́, до Капернау́му. І те́мрява вже наступила була́, а Ісус ще до них не прихо́див.

17 And entered1684 into1519 a ship,4143 and went2064 over4008 the sea2281 toward1519 Capernaum.2584 And it was now2235 dark,4653 and Jesus2424 was not come2064 to them.

18 Від великого ж вітру, що віяв, хвилюва́лося море.

18 And the sea2281 arose1326 by reason of a great3173 wind417 that blew.4154

19 Як вони ж пропливли́ стадій із двадцять п'ять або з тридцять, то Ісуса побачили, що йде Він по морю, і до чо́вна зближається, — і їх страх обгорну́в.

19 So3767 when they had rowed1643 about5613 five4002 and twenty1501 or2228 thirty5144 furlongs,4712 they see2334 Jesus2424 walking4043 on1909 the sea,2281 and drawing1096 near1451 to the ship:4143 and they were afraid.5399

20 Він же каже до них: „Це Я, — не лякайтесь!“

20 But he said3004 to them, It is I; be not afraid.5399

21 І хотіли вони взяти до чо́вна Його; та чо́вен зараз пристав до землі, до якої пливли́.

21 Then3767 they willingly2309 received2983 him into1519 the ship:4143 and immediately2112 the ship4143 was at1909 the land1093 where1519 3739 they went.5217

22 А наступного дня той наро́д, що на тім боці моря стояв, побачив, що там іншого чо́вна, крім одно́го того́, що до нього ввійшли були учні Його, не було́, і що до чо́вна не вхо́див Ісус із Своїми учнями, але відпливли́ самі учні.

22 The day1887 following,1887 when the people3793 which3588 stood2476 on the other4008 side4008 of the sea2281 saw1492 that there was none3756 other243 boat4142 there,1563 save1508 that one1520 into where1519 3739 his disciples3101 were entered,1684 and that Jesus2424 went4897 not with his disciples3101 into1519 the boat,4142 but that his disciples3101 were gone565 away565 alone;3441

23 А тим ча́сом із Тіверія́ди припливли́ човни́ інші близько до місця того, де вони їли хліб, як Господь учинив був подяку.

23 (However,1161 there came2064 other243 boats4142 from Tiberias5085 near1451 to the place5117 where3699 they did eat5315 bread,740 after that the Lord2962 had given thanks:2168)

24 Отож, як побачили люди, що Ісуса та учнів Його там нема, то в човни́ посідали самі й прибули́ до Капернауму, — і шукали Ісуса.

24 When3753 the people3793 therefore3767 saw1492 that Jesus2424 was not there,1563 neither3761 his disciples,3101 they also2532 took1684 1519 shipping,4143 and came2064 to Capernaum,2584 seeking2212 for Jesus.2424

25 І, на тім боці моря знайшовши Його, сказали Йому: „Коли Ти прибув сюди, Учителю?“

25 And when4218 they had found2147 him on the other4008 side4008 of the sea,2281 they said2036 to him, Rabbi,4461 when came1096 you here?5602

26 Відповів їм Ісус і сказав: „Поправді, поправді кажу́ вам: Мене не тому ви шукаєте, що бачили чуда, а що їли з хлібів і наси́тились.

26 Jesus2424 answered611 them and said,2036 Truly,281 truly,281 I say3004 to you, You seek2212 me, not because3754 you saw1492 the miracles,4592 but because3754 you did eat5315 of the loaves,740 and were filled.5526

27 Пильнуйте не про пожи́ву, що гине, але про поживу, що зостається на вічне життя, яку дасть нам Син Лю́дський, бо запечатав Його Бог Отець“.

27 Labor2038 not for the meat1035 which3588 perishes,622 but for that meat1035 which3588 endures3306 to everlasting166 life,2222 which3739 the Son5207 of man444 shall give1325 to you: for him has God2316 the Father3962 sealed.4972

28 Сказали ж до Нього вони: „Що́ ми маємо почати, щоб роби́ти діла Божі?“

28 Then3767 said2036 they to him, What5101 shall we do,4160 that we might work2038 the works2041 of God?2316

29 Ісус відповів і сказав їм: „Оце діло Боже, — щоб у Того ви вірували, Кого Він послав“.

29 Jesus2424 answered611 and said2036 to them, This5124 is the work2041 of God,2316 that you believe4100 on1519 him whom3739 he has sent.649

30 А вони відказали Йому: „Яке ж знаме́но Ти чиниш, щоб побачили ми й поняли́ Тобі віри? Що Ти робиш?“

30 They said2036 therefore3767 to him, What5101 sign4592 show4160 you then,3767 that we may see,1492 and believe4100 you? what5101 do you work?2038

31 Наші отці́ їли ма́нну в пустині, як написано: „Хліб із неба їм дав на поживу“.

31 Our fathers3962 did eat5315 manna3131 in the desert;2048 as it is written,1125 He gave1325 them bread740 from heaven3772 to eat.5315

32 А Ісус їм сказав: „Поправді, поправді кажу́ вам: Не Мойсей хліб із неба вам дав, — Мій Отець дає вам хліб правдивий із неба.

32 Then3767 Jesus2424 said2036 to them, Truly,281 truly,281 I say3004 to you, Moses3475 gave1325 you not that bread740 from heaven;3772 but my Father3962 gives1325 you the true228 bread740 from heaven.3772

33 Бо хліб Божий є Той, Хто сходить із неба й дає життя світові“.

33 For the bread740 of God2316 is he which3588 comes2597 down2597 from heaven,3772 and gives1325 life2222 to the world.2889

34 А вони відказали до Нього: „Давай, Господи, хліба такого нам за́вжди!“

34 Then3767 said2036 they to him, Lord,2962 ever more3842 give1325 us this5126 bread.740

35 Ісус же сказав їм: „Я — хліб життя. Хто до Мене прихо́дить, — не голодува́тиме він, а хто вірує в Мене, — ніко́ли не пра́гнутиме.

35 And Jesus2424 said2036 to them, I am1510 the bread740 of life:2222 he that comes2064 to me shall never165 hunger;3983 and he that believes4100 on1519 me shall never3364 4455 thirst.1372

36 Але Я вам сказав, що Мене хоч ви й бачили, та не віруєте.

36 But I said2036 to you, That you also2532 have seen3708 me, and believe4100 not.

37 Усе при́йде до Мене, що Отець дає Мені, а того, хто до Мене приходить, Я не вижену геть.

37 All3956 that the Father3962 gives1325 me shall come2240 to me; and him that comes2064 to me I will in no3364 wise cast1544 out.

38 Бо Я з неба зійшов не на те, щоб волю чинити Свою, але волю Того, Хто послав Мене.

38 For I came2597 down2597 from heaven,3772 not to do4160 my1699 own will,2307 but the will2307 of him that sent3992 me.

39 Оце ж воля Того, Хто послав Мене, — щоб з усього, що дав Мені Він, Я нічого не стратив, але воскреси́в те останнього дня.

39 And this5124 is the Father's3962 will2307 which3588 has sent3992 me, that of all3956 which he has given1325 me I should lose622 nothing,3361 848 but should raise450 it up again450 at1722 the last2078 day.2250

40 Оце ж воля Мого Отця, — щоб усякий, хто Сина бачить та вірує в Нього, мав вічне життя, — і того воскрешу́ Я останнього дня“.

40 And this5124 is the will2307 of him that sent3992 me, that every3956 one which3588 sees2334 the Son,5207 and believes4100 on1519 him, may have2192 everlasting166 life:2222 and I will raise450 him up at the last2078 day.2250

41 Тоді стали юдеї ре́мствувати на Нього, що сказав: „Я той хліб, що з неба зійшов“.

41 The Jews2453 then3767 murmured1111 at4012 him, because3754 he said,2036 I am1510 the bread740 which3588 came2597 down2597 from heaven.3772

42 І казали вони: „Хіба Він не Ісус, син Йо́сипів, що ми знаємо батька та матір Його? Як же Він каже: Я з неба зійшов?“

42 And they said,3004 Is not this3778 Jesus,2424 the son5207 of Joseph,2501 whose3739 father3962 and mother3384 we know?1492 how4459 is it then3767 that he said,3004 I came2597 down2597 from heaven?3772

43 А Ісус відповів і промовив до них: „Не ремствуйте ви між собою!

43 Jesus2424 therefore3767 answered611 and said2036 to them, Murmur1111 not among3326 yourselves.240

44 Ніхто бо не може до Мене прийти, як Отець, що послав Мене, не притягне його, — і того воскрешу́ Я останнього дня.

44 No3762 man3762 can1410 come2064 to me, except3362 the Father3962 which3588 has sent3992 me draw1670 him: and I will raise450 him up at the last2078 day.2250

45 У Пророків написано: „І всі бу́дуть від Бога навче́ні.“ Кожен, хто від Бога почув і навчився, приходить до Мене.

45 It is written1125 in the prophets,4396 And they shall be all3956 taught1318 of God.2316 Every3956 man therefore3767 that has heard,191 and has learned3129 of the Father,3962 comes2064 to me.

46 Це не значить, щоб хтось Отця бачив, — тільки Той Отця бачив, Хто походить від Бога.

46 Not that any5100 man has seen3708 the Father,3962 save1508 he which3588 is of God,2316 he has seen3708 the Father.3962

47 Поправді, поправді кажу́ Вам: Хто вірує в Мене, — життя вічне той має.

47 Truly,281 truly,281 I say3004 to you, He that believes4100 on1519 me has2192 everlasting166 life.2222

48 Я — хліб життя!

48 I am1510 that bread740 of life.2222

49 Отці ваші в пустині їли манну, — і померли.

49 Your5216 fathers3962 did eat5315 manna3131 in the wilderness,2048 and are dead.599

50 То є хліб, Який сходить із неба, — щоб не вмер, хто Його споживає.

50 This3778 is the bread740 which3588 comes2597 down2597 from heaven,3772 that a man5100 may eat5315 thereof,1538 846 and not die.599

51 Я — хліб живий, що з неба зійшов: коли хто споживатиме хліб цей, той повік буде жити. А хліб, що дам Я, то є тіло Моє, яке Я за життя світу дам“.

51 I am1510 the living2198 bread740 which3588 came2597 down2597 from heaven:3772 if1437 any5100 man eat5315 of this5127 bread,740 he shall live2198 for ever:165 and the bread740 that I will give1325 is my flesh,4561 which3739 I will give1325 for the life2222 of the world.2889

52 Тоді між собою змагатися стали юдеї, говорячи: „Як же Він може дати нам тіла спожити?“

52 The Jews2453 therefore3767 strove3164 among4314 themselves,240 saying,3004 How4459 can1410 this3778 man give1325 us his flesh4561 to eat?5315

53 І сказав їм Ісус: „Поправді, поправді кажу вам: Якщо ви споживати не будете тіла Сина Лю́дського й пити не будете крови Його, то в собі ви не будете мати життя.

53 Then3767 Jesus2424 said2036 to them, Truly,281 truly,281 I say3004 to you, Except3362 you eat5315 the flesh4561 of the Son5207 of man,444 and drink4095 his blood,129 you have2192 no3756 life2222 in you.

54 Хто тіло Моє споживає та кров Мою п'є, той має вічне життя, — і того воскрешу́ Я останнього дня.

54 Whoever3588 eats5176 my flesh,4561 and drinks4095 my blood,129 has2192 eternal166 life;2222 and I will raise450 him up at the last2078 day.2250

55 Бо тіло Моє — то правдиво пожива, Моя ж кров — то правдиво пиття.

55 For my flesh4561 is meat1035 indeed,230 and my blood129 is drink4215 indeed.230

56 Хто тіло Моє споживає та кров Мою п'є, той в Мені перебува́є, а Я в ньому.

56 He that eats5176 my flesh,4561 and drinks4095 my blood,129 dwells3306 in me, and I in him.

57 Як Живий Отець послав Мене, і живу Я Отцем, так і той, хто Мене споживає, і він житиме Мною.

57 As the living2198 Father3962 has sent649 me, and I live2198 by the Father:3962 so2532 he that eats5176 me, even2548 he shall live2198 by me.

58 То є хліб, що з неба зійшов. Не як ваші отці їли ма́нну й померли, — хто цей хліб споживає, той жити буде пові́к!“

58 This3778 is that bread740 which3588 came2597 down2597 from heaven:3772 not as your5216 fathers3962 did eat5315 manna,3131 and are dead:599 he that eats5176 of this5126 bread740 shall live2198 for ever.165

59 Оце Він говорив, коли в Капернаумі навчав у синагозі.

59 These5023 things said2036 he in the synagogue,4864 as he taught1321 in Capernaum.2584

60 А багато-хто з учнів Його, як почули оце, гомоніли: „Жорстока це мова! Хто́ слухати може її?“

60 Many4183 therefore3767 of his disciples,3101 when they had heard191 this, said,2036 This3778 is an hard4642 saying;3056 who5101 can1410 hear191 it?

61 А Ісус, Сам у Собі знавши це, що учні Його на те ре́мствують, промовив до них: „Чи оце вас споку́шує?

61 When Jesus2424 knew1492 in himself1438 that his disciples3101 murmured1111 at4012 it, he said2036 to them, Does this5124 offend4624 you?

62 А що ж, як побачите Лю́дського Сина, що сходить туди, де перше Він був?

62 What and if1437 you shall see2334 the Son5207 of man444 ascend305 up where3699 he was before?4386

63 То Дух, що ожи́влює, тіло ж не помагає нічого. Слова́, що їх Я говорив вам, то дух і життя.

63 It is the spirit4151 that vivifies;2227 the flesh4561 profits5623 nothing:3762 the words4487 that I speak2980 to you, they are spirit,4151 and they are life.2222

64 Але є дехто з вас, хто не вірує“. Бо Ісус знав споча́тку, хто ті, хто не вірує, і хто видасть Його.

64 But there are some5100 of you that believe4100 not. For Jesus2424 knew1492 from the beginning746 who5101 they were that believed4100 not, and who5101 should betray3860 him.

65 І сказав Він: „Я тому́ й говорив вам, що до Мене прибути не може ніхто, як не буде йому від Отця да́не те“.

65 And he said,3004 Therefore1223 5124 said2046 I to you, that no3762 man3762 can1410 come2064 to me, except3362 it were given1325 to him of my Father.3962

66 Із того ча́су відпали багато-хто з учнів Його, і не ходили вже з Ним.

66 From that time many4183 of his disciples3101 went565 back,3694 and walked4043 no3765 more3765 with him.

67 І сказав Ісус Дванадцятьо́м: „Чи не хочете й ви́ відійти?“

67 Then3767 said2036 Jesus2424 to the twelve,1427 Will2309 you also2532 go5217 away?5217

68 Відповів Йому Си́мон Петро: „До ко́го ми пі́демо, Господи? Ти маєш слова́ життя вічного.

68 Then3767 Simon4613 Peter4074 answered611 him, Lord,2962 to whom5101 shall we go?565 you have2192 the words4487 of eternal166 life.2222

69 Ми ж увірували та пізнали, що Ти — Христос, Син Бога Живого!“

69 And we believe4100 and are sure1097 that you are1488 that Christ,5547 the Son5207 of the living2198 God.2316

70 Відповів їм Ісус: „Чи не Дванадцятьо́х Я вас вибрав? Та один із вас дия́вол“.

70 Jesus2424 answered611 them, Have2192 not I chosen1586 you twelve,1427 and one1520 of you is a devil?1228

71 Це сказав Він про Юду, сина Си́монового, Іскаріо́та. Бо цей мав Його видати, хоч він був один із Дванадцятьо́х.

71 He spoke3004 of Judas2455 Iscariot2469 the son of Simon:4613 for he it was that should3195 betray3860 him, being5607 one1520 of the twelve.1427
