3 und430 schwöre7650 mir bei dem HErrn3068, dem GOtt430 des Himmels8064 und der Erde776, daß du meinem Sohn1121 kein Weib802 nehmest3947 von den Töchtern1323 der Kanaaniter3669, unter7130 welchen ich wohne3427;

3 And I will make thee swear7650 by the LORD,3068 the God430 of heaven,8064 and the God430 of the earth,776 that834 thou shalt not3808 take3947 a wife802 unto my son1121 of the daughters4480 1323 of the Canaanites,3669 among7130 whom834 I595 dwell: 3427

4 sondern daß du ziehest in mein Vaterland776 und zu meiner Freundschaft4138 und nehmest3947 meinem Sohn1121 Isaak3327 ein Weib802.

4 But3588 thou shalt go1980 unto413 my country,776 and to413 my kindred,4138 and take3947 a wife802 unto my son1121 Isaac.3327

5 Der Knecht5650 sprach559: Wie, wenn das Weib802 mir310 nicht wollte14 folgen3212 in dies Land776? Soll ich dann deinen Sohn1121 wiederbringen7725 in jenes Land776, daraus du7725 gezogen bist3318?

5 And the servant5650 said559 unto413 him, Peradventure194 the woman802 will not3808 be willing14 to follow1980 310 me unto413 this2063 land:776 must I needs bring7725 7725 853 thy son1121 again unto413 the land776 from whence834 4480 8033 thou camest?3318

6 Abraham85 sprach559 zu ihm: Da7725 hüte dich8104 vor, daß du meinen Sohn1121 nicht6435 wieder7725 dahin bringest.

6 And Abraham85 said559 unto413 him, Beware8104 thou that6435 thou bring7725 not853 my son1121 thither8033 again.

7 Der HErr3068, der GOtt430 des Himmels8064, der mich6440 von meines Vaters1 Hause1004 genommen hat1696 und von meiner Heimat776, der mir geredet und mir auch geschworen7650 hat3947 und gesagt559: Dies Land776 will ich deinem Samen2233 geben5414, der wird seinen Engel4397 vor dir her senden7971, daß du meinem Sohn1121 daselbst ein Weib802 nehmest3947.

8 So aber das Weib802 dir310 nicht folgen3212 will14, so bist5352 du dieses Eides7621 quitt. Alleine bringe7725 meinen Sohn1121 nicht wieder7725 dorthin.

8 And if518 the woman802 will not3808 be willing14 to follow1980 310 thee, then thou shalt be clear5352 from this my oath:4480 7621 2063 only7535 bring7725 not3808 853 my son1121 thither8033 again.

9 Da legte7760 der Knecht5650 seine Hand3027 unter die Hüfte3409 Abrahams, seines Herrn113, und85 schwur7650 ihm solches2088.

9 And the servant5650 put7760 853 his hand3027 under8478 the thigh3409 of Abraham85 his master,113 and swore7650 to him concerning5921 that2088 matter.1697

10 Also nahm3947 der Knecht5650 zehn6235 Kamele1581 von den Kamelen1581 seines Herrn113 und5152 zog3212 hin und hatte mit sich3027 allerlei Güter2898 seines Herrn113; und machte sich auf6965 und zog3212 gen Mesopotamien763 zu der Stadt5892 Nahors.

11 Da6256 ließ er die Kamele1581 sich lagern1288 außen vor2351 der Stadt5892 bei413 einem Wasserbrunnen875, des Abends6153 um die Zeit6256, wenn die Weiber pflegten herauszugehen3318 und Wasser4325 zu schöpfen7579,

11 And he made his camels1581 to kneel down1288 without4480 2351 the city5892 by413 a well875 of water4325 at the time6256 of the evening,6153 even the time6256 that women go out3318 to draw7579 water.

12 und6213 sprach559: HErr3068, du GOtt430 meines Herrn113 Abraham85, begegne7136 mir6440 heute3117 und tu Barmherzigkeit2617 an5973 meinem Herrn113 Abraham85.

12 And he said,559 O LORD3068 God430 of my master113 Abraham,85 I pray thee,4994 send me good speed7136 6440 this day,3117 and show6213 kindness2617 unto5973 my master113 Abraham.85
|
|
13 Siehe, ich stehe5324 hie bei dem Wasserbrunnen5869, und der Leute582 Töchter1323 in dieser Stadt5892 werden herauskommen3318, Wasser4325 zu schöpfen7579.
|
13 Behold,2009 I595 stand5324 here by5921 the well5869 of water;4325 and the daughters1323 of the men376 of the city5892 come out3318 to draw7579 water: 4325

14 Wenn nun eine Dirne5291 kommt, zu der ich spreche: Neige5186 deinen Krug3537 und5650 laß mich trinken8354, und sie559 sprechen wird3045: Trinke, ich will deine Kamele1581 auch tränken8248, daß sie559 die sei, die du8354 deinem Diener Isaak3327 bescheret habest, und ich daran erkenne, daß du8248 Barmherzigkeit2617 an meinem Herrn113 getan6213 hast3198.

14 And let it come to pass,1961 that the damsel5291 to whom834 I shall say,559 413 Let down5186 thy pitcher,3537 I pray thee,4994 that I may drink;8354 and she shall say,559 Drink,8354 and I will give thy camels1581 drink8248 also:1571 let the same be she that thou hast appointed3198 for thy servant5650 Isaac;3327 and thereby shall I know3045 that3588 thou hast showed6213 kindness2617 unto5973 my master.113

15 And it came to pass,1961 before2962 he1931 had done3615 speaking,1696 that, behold,2009 Rebekah7259 came out,3318 who834 was born3205 to Bethuel,1328 son1121 of Milcah,4435 the wife802 of Nahor,5152 Abraham's85 brother,251 with her pitcher3537 upon5921 her shoulder.7926

16 Und4390 sie war eine sehr3966 schöne2896 Dirne5291 von Angesicht4758, noch eine Jungfrau1330, und kein Mann376 hatte sie erkannt3045. Die stieg hinab3381 zum Brunnen5869 und füllete den Krug3537 und stieg herauf5927.

16 And the damsel5291 was very3966 fair2896 to look upon,4758 a virgin,1330 neither3808 had any man376 known3045 her: and she went down3381 to the well,5869 and filled4390 her pitcher,3537 and came up.5927

17 Da lief7323 ihr der Knecht5650 entgegen7125 und sprach559: Laß mich ein wenig4592 Wassers4325 aus deinem Kruge3537 trinken1572.

17 And the servant5650 ran7323 to meet7125 her, and said,559 Let me, I pray thee,4994 drink1572 a little4592 water4325 of thy pitcher.4480 3537

18 Und sie sprach559: Trinke, mein Herr113! Und eilend4116 ließ3381 sie den Krug3537 hernieder auf ihre Hand3027 und gab ihm zu trinken8354.

18 And she said,559 Drink,8354 my lord:113 and she hasted,4116 and let down3381 her pitcher3537 upon5921 her hand,3027 and gave him drink.8248

19 Und da sie ihm zu trinken8248 gegeben hatte3615, sprach559 sie: Ich will deinen Kamelen1581 auch schöpfen7579, bis sie alle getrunken8354.

19 And when she had done3615 giving him drink,8248 she said,559 I will draw7579 water for thy camels1581 also,1571 until5704 518 they have done3615 drinking.8354

|
20 Und eilete und goß6168 den Krug3537 aus in die Tränke8268 und lief7323 aber zum Brunnen875 zu schöpfen7579 und schöpfete allen seinen Kamelen1581.

20 And she hasted,4116 and emptied6168 her pitcher3537 into413 the trough,8268 and ran7323 again5750 unto413 the well875 to draw7579 water, and drew7579 for all3605 his camels.1581

21 Der Mann376 aber wunderte sich7583 ihrer und schwieg2790 stille, bis er erkennete3045, ob der HErr3068 zu seiner Reise1870 Gnade6743 gegeben hätte6743, oder518 nicht.
|
21 And the man376 wondering7583 at her held his peace,2790 to know3045 whether the LORD3068 had made his journey1870 prosperous6743 or518 not.3808
|
|
22 Da nun die Kamele1581 alle getrunken8354 hatten3615, nahm3947 er376 eine güldene Spange, eines halben Sekels schwer4948, und zween Armringe6781 an ihre Hände3027, zehn6235 Sekel Goldes2091 schwer4948,
|
22 And it came to pass,1961 as834 the camels1581 had done3615 drinking,8354 that the man376 took3947 a golden2091 earring5141 of half a shekel1235 weight,4948 and two8147 bracelets6781 for5921 her hands3027 of ten6235 shekels weight4948 of gold;2091

23 und sprach559: Meine Tochter1323, wem gehörest du859 an? Das sage mir5046 doch. Haben3426 wir auch Raum4725 in deines Vaters1 Hause1004 zu herbergen?
|
23 And said,559 Whose4310 daughter1323 art thou?859 tell5046 me, I pray thee:4994 is there3426 room4725 in thy father's1 house1004 for us to lodge in?3885
|
|
24 Sie sprach559 zu ihm: Ich bin Bethuels1328 Tochter1323, des Sohnes1121 Milkas4435, den sie dem Nahor5152 geboren3205 hat.
|
24 And she said559 unto413 him, I595 am the daughter1323 of Bethuel1328 the son1121 of Milcah,4435 which834 she bore3205 unto Nahor.5152
|
|
25 Und1571 sagte559 weiter zu ihm: Es ist4725 auch1571 viel Stroh8401 und Futter4554 bei uns und Raums genug7227 zu herbergen.

25 She said559 moreover unto413 him, We have both1571 straw8401 and1571 provender4554 enough,7227 and1571 room4725 to lodge in.3885

26 Da neigete sich6915 der Mann376 und betete7812 den HErrn3068 an

26 And the man376 bowed down his head,6915 and worshiped7812 the LORD.3068
|
|
27 und sprach559: Gelobet sei1288 der HErr3068, der GOtt430 meines Herrn Abraham85, der seine Barmherzigkeit2617 und seine Wahrheit571 nicht verlassen5800 hat5148 an5973 meinem Herrn; denn der HErr hat mich den Weg1870 geführet zu meines Herrn Bruders251 Hause1004.

27 And he said,559 Blessed1288 be the LORD3068 God430 of my master113 Abraham,85 who834 hath not3808 left destitute5800 4480 5973 my master113 of his mercy2617 and his truth:571 I595 being in the way,1870 the LORD3068 led5148 me to the house1004 of my master's113 brethren.251

28 Und die Dirne5291 lief7323 und sagte5046 solches alles1697 an in ihrer Mutter517 Hause1004.

28 And the damsel5291 ran,7323 and told5046 them of her mother's517 house1004 these428 things.1697

|
29 Und Rebekka7259 hatte einen Bruder251, der hieß8034 Laban3837; und Laban3837 lief7323 zu dem Manne376 draußen2351 bei dem Brunnen5869.
|
29 And Rebekah7259 had a brother,251 and his name8034 was Laban:3837 and Laban3837 ran7323 out2351 unto413 the man,376 unto413 the well.5869
|
|
30 Und5975 als er sah7200 die Spangen und Armringe6781 an seiner Schwester269 Händen3027 und hörete die Worte1697 Rebekkas7259, seiner Schwester269, daß sie sprach1696: Also3541 hat8085 mir der Mann376 gesagt559, kam935 er zu5921 dem Manne376, und siehe, er stund bei den Kamelen1581 am Brunnen5869.

30 And it came to pass,1961 when he saw7200 853 the earring5141 and bracelets6781 upon5921 his sister's269 hands,3027 and when he heard8085 853 the words1697 of Rebekah7259 his sister,269 saying,559 Thus3541 spoke1696 the man376 unto413 me; that he came935 unto413 the man;376 and, behold,2009 he stood5975 by5921 the camels1581 at5921 the well.5869

31 Und er sprach559: Komm herein935, du Gesegneter1288 des HErrn3068! Warum stehest du draußen2351? Ich habe5975 das Haus1004 geräumet und für die Kamele1581 auch Raum4725 gemacht.

31 And he said,559 Come in,935 thou blessed1288 of the LORD;3068 wherefore4100 standest5975 thou without?2351 for I595 have prepared6437 the house,1004 and room4725 for the camels.1581

|
32 Also führete er den Mann376 ins Haus1004 und7272 zäumete die Kamele1581 ab und gab5414 ihnen Stroh8401 und Futter4554 und Wasser4325, zu waschen7364 seine Füße7272 und der Männer582, die mit ihm6605 waren935,
|
32 And the man376 came935 into the house:1004 and he ungirded6605 his camels,1581 and gave5414 straw8401 and provender4554 for the camels,1581 and water4325 to wash7364 his feet,7272 and the men's376 feet7272 that834 were with854 him.
|
|
33 und setzte7760 ihm Essen398 vor6440. Er sprach559 aber: Ich will nicht essen398, bis daß ich zuvor meine Sache1697 geworben habe1696. Sie antworteten: Sage559 her!
|
33 And there was set7760 meat before6440 him to eat:398 but he said,559 I will not3808 eat,398 until5704 518 I have told1696 mine errand.1697 And he said,559 Speak on.1696

34 Er85 sprach559: Ich bin Abrahams Knecht5650.
|
34 And he said,559 I595 am Abraham's85 servant.5650
|
|
35 Und der HErr3068 hat meinen Herrn113 reichlich3966 gesegnet1288, und ist1431 groß worden; und hat ihm Schafe6629 und Ochsen1241, Silber3701 und Gold2091, Knechte5650 und Mägde8198, Kamele1581 und Esel2543 gegeben5414.

35 And the LORD3068 hath blessed1288 853 my master113 greatly;3966 and he is become great:1431 and he hath given5414 him flocks,6629 and herds,1241 and silver,3701 and gold,2091 and menservants,5650 and maidservants,8198 and camels,1581 and asses.2543
|
|
36 Dazu hat Sara8283, meines Herrn113 Weib802, einen Sohn1121 geboren3205 meinem Herrn113 in310 seinem Alter2209; dem hat er alles gegeben5414, was er hat.
|
36 And Sarah8283 my master's113 wife802 bore3205 a son1121 to my master113 when310 she was old:2209 and unto him hath he given5414 853 all3605 that834 he hath.
|
|
37 Und mein Herr113 hat einen Eid7650 von mir genommen und gesagt559: Du sollst meinem Sohn1121 kein Weib802 nehmen3947 von den Töchtern1323 der Kanaaniter3669, in deren Lande776 ich wohne3427,
|
37 And my master113 made me swear,7650 saying,559 Thou shalt not3808 take3947 a wife802 to my son1121 of the daughters4480 1323 of the Canaanites,3669 in whose834 land776 I595 dwell: 3427

|
38 sondern518 zeuch hin3212 zu meines Vaters1 Hause1004 und zu meinem Geschlecht4940; daselbst nimm3947 meinem Sohn1121 ein Weib802.
|
38 But518 3808 thou shalt go1980 unto413 my father's1 house,1004 and to413 my kindred,4940 and take3947 a wife802 unto my son.1121

39 Ich sprach559 aber zu meinem Herrn113: Wie, wenn mir310 das Weib802 nicht folgen3212 will?
|
39 And I said559 unto413 my master,113 Peradventure194 the woman802 will not3808 follow1980 310 me.
|
|
40 Da sprach559 er zu mir6440: Der HErr3068, vor dem ich wandle1980, wird seinen Engel4397 mit dir senden7971 und Gnade6743 zu deiner Reise1870 geben, daß du meinem Sohn1121 ein Weib802 nehmest3947 von meiner Freundschaft4940 und meines Vaters1 Hause1004.

40 And he said559 unto413 me, The LORD,3068 before6440 whom834 I walk,1980 will send7971 his angel4397 with854 thee, and prosper6743 thy way;1870 and thou shalt take3947 a wife802 for my son1121 of my kindred,4480 4940 and of my father's house:4480 1004 1

41 Alsdann sollst du meines Eides423 quitt sein5355, wenn du zu meiner Freundschaft4940 kommst935; geben5414 sie dir nicht, so bist5352 du meines Eides423 quitt.
|
41 Then227 shalt thou be clear5352 from this my oath,4480 423 when3588 thou comest935 to413 my kindred;4940 and if518 they give5414 not3808 thee one, thou shalt be1961 clear5355 from my oath.4480 423
|

42 Also kam935 ich heute3117 zum Brunnen5869 und sprach559: HErr3068, GOtt430 meines Herrn113 Abraham85, hast3426 du Gnade6743 zu meiner Reise1870 gegeben, daher ich gereiset bin1980,

42 And I came935 this day3117 unto413 the well,5869 and said,559 O LORD3068 God430 of my master113 Abraham,85 if518 now4994 thou do3426 prosper6743 my way1870 which834 5921 I595 go: 1980
|
|
43 siehe, so4325 stehe5324 ich hie bei dem Wasserbrunnen5869. Wenn nun eine Jungfrau5959 herauskommt zu schöpfen7579, und ich zu ihr spreche559: Gib mir8248 ein wenig4592 Wasser4325 zu trinken8248 aus3318 deinem Krug3537,

43 Behold,2009 I595 stand5324 by5921 the well5869 of water;4325 and it shall come to pass,1961 that when the virgin5959 cometh forth3318 to draw7579 water, and I say559 to413 her, Give me, I pray thee,4994 a little4592 water4325 of thy pitcher4480 3537 to drink;8248

44 und1121 sie wird sagen559: Trinke du8354, ich will deinen Kamelen1581 auch schöpfen7579, daß die sei das Weib802, das der HErr3068 meines Herrn113 Sohne bescheret hat3198.

44 And she say559 to413 me, Both1571 drink8354 thou,859 and I will also1571 draw7579 for thy camels:1581 let the same1931 be the woman802 whom834 the LORD3068 hath appointed out3198 for my master's113 son.1121

45 Ehe ich nun solche Worte ausgeredet hatte1696 in meinem Herzen3820, siehe, da kommt Rebekka7259 heraus3318 mit einem Krug3537 auf3615 ihrer Achsel7926 und gehet hinab3381 zum Brunnen5869 und schöpfet. Da sprach559 ich zu ihr: Gib mir zu trinken8248.

45 And before2962 I589 had done3615 speaking1696 in413 mine heart,3820 behold,2009 Rebekah7259 came forth3318 with her pitcher3537 on5921 her shoulder;7926 and she went down3381 unto the well,5869 and drew7579 water: and I said559 unto413 her, Let me drink,8248 I pray thee.4994

46 Und sie nahm3381 eilend4116 den Krug3537 von ihrer Achsel und sprach559: Trinke8354, und deine Kamele1581 will ich auch tränken8248. Also trank8354 ich, und sie tränkte8248 die Kamele1581 auch.

46 And she made haste,4116 and let down3381 her pitcher3537 from4480 5921 her shoulder, and said,559 Drink,8354 and I will give thy camels1581 drink8248 also:1571 so I drank,8354 and she made the camels1581 drink8354 also.1571

47 Und5152 ich fragte7592 sie559 und sprach559: Wes Tochter1323 bist du? Sie antwortete: Ich bin Bethuels1328 Tochter1323, des Sohnes1121 Nahors, den ihm Milka4435 geboren3205 hat7760. Da hängete ich eine Spange an ihre Stirn639 und Armringe6781 an ihre Hände3027;

47 And I asked7592 her, and said,559 Whose4310 daughter1323 art thou?859 And she said,559 The daughter1323 of Bethuel,1328 Nahor's5152 son,1121 whom834 Milcah4435 bore3205 unto him: and I put7760 the earring5141 upon5921 her face,639 and the bracelets6781 upon5921 her hands.3027

48 und neigete mich6915 und betete7812 den HErrn3068 an und lobte1288 den HErrn3068, den GOtt430 meines Herrn113 Abraham85, der mich den rechten571 Weg1870 geführet hat5148, daß ich seinem Sohn1121 meines Herrn113 Bruders251 Tochter1323 nehme3947.

48 And I bowed down my head,6915 and worshiped7812 the LORD,3068 and blessed1288 853 the LORD3068 God430 of my master113 Abraham,85 which834 had led5148 me in the right571 way1870 to take3947 853 my master's113 brother's251 daughter1323 unto his son.1121
|
|
49 Seid3426 ihr nun6213 die, so an meinem Herrn113 Freundschaft2617 und Treue beweisen wollt, so saget mir‘s5046; wo nicht, so saget mir‘s5046 aber, daß ich mich wende6437 zur Rechten571 oder176 zur Linken8040.
|
49 And now6258 if518 ye will3426 deal6213 kindly2617 and truly571 with854 my master,113 tell5046 me: and if518 not,3808 tell5046 me; that I may turn6437 to5921 the right hand,3225 or176 to5921 the left.8040
|

50 Da antwortete6030 Laban3837 und Bethuel1328 und sprachen559: Das1697 kommt3318 vom HErrn3068; darum können3201 wir nichts wider dich reden1696, weder Böses7451 noch176 Gutes2896.
|
50 Then Laban3837 and Bethuel1328 answered6030 and said,559 The thing1697 proceedeth3318 from the LORD:4480 3068 we cannot3201 3808 speak1696 unto413 thee bad7451 or176 good.2896
|
|
51 Da ist3947 Rebekka7259 vor6440 dir; nimm sie und zeuch hin3212, daß sie deines Herrn3068 Sohnes1121 Weib802 sei, wie der HErr113 geredet hat1696.
|
51 Behold,2009 Rebekah7259 is before6440 thee, take3947 her, and go,1980 and let her be1961 thy master's113 son's1121 wife,802 as834 the LORD3068 hath spoken.1696
|
|
52 Da diese Worte1697 hörete Abrahams Knecht5650, bückte er85 sich7812 dem HErrn3068 zu8085 der Erde776.
|
52 And it came to pass,1961 that, when834 Abraham's85 servant5650 heard8085 853 their words,1697 he worshiped7812 the LORD,3068 bowing himself to the earth.776
|
|
53 Und5650 zog hervor3318 silberne3701 und güldene Kleinode3627 und Kleider899 und gab5414 sie Rebekka7259; aber ihrem Bruder251 und der Mutter517 gab5414 er Würze4030.
|
53 And the servant5650 brought forth3318 jewels3627 of silver,3701 and jewels3627 of gold,2091 and raiment,899 and gave5414 them to Rebekah:7259 he gave5414 also to her brother251 and to her mother517 precious things.4030
|
|
54 Da aß398 und trank8354 er samt den Männern582, die mit ihm waren, und blieb über Nacht3885 allda. Des Morgens1242 aber stund er auf6965 und sprach559: Lasset mich ziehen7971 zu meinem Herrn113.
