Chapter 2

1 My little5040 children,5040 these5023 things write1125 I to you, that you sin264 not. And if1437 any5100 man sin,264 we have2192 an advocate3875 with the Father,3962 Jesus2424 Christ5547 the righteous:1342

2 And he is the propitiation2434 for our sins:266 and not for our's2251 only,3440 but also2532 for the sins of the whole3650 world.2889

3 And hereby1722 5129 we do know1097 that we know1097 him, if1437 we keep5083 his commandments.1785

4 He that said,3004 I know1097 him, and keeps5083 not his commandments,1785 is a liar,5583 and the truth225 is not in him.

5 But whoever3739 302 keeps5083 his word,3056 in him truly230 is the love26 of God2316 perfected:5048 hereby1722 5129 know1097 we that we are in him.

6 He that said3004 he stays3306 in him ought3784 himself846 also2532 so3779 to walk,4043 even2531 as he walked.4043

7 Brothers,80 I write1125 no3756 new2537 commandment1785 to you, but an old3820 commandment1785 which3739 you had2192 from the beginning.746 The old3820 commandment1785 is the word3056 which3739 you have2192 heard191 from the beginning.746

8 Again,3825 a new2537 commandment1785 I write1125 to you, which3739 thing is true227 in him and in you: because3754 the darkness4653 is past,3855 and the true228 light5457 now2235 shines.5316

9 He that said3004 he is in the light,5457 and hates3404 his brother,80 is in darkness4653 even until2193 now.737

10 He that loves25 his brother80 stays3306 in the light,5457 and there is none3756 occasion4625 of stumbling4625 in him.

11 But he that hates3404 his brother80 is in darkness,4653 and walks4043 in darkness,4653 and knows1492 not where4226 he goes,5217 because3754 that darkness4653 has blinded5186 his eyes.3788

12 I write1125 to you, little5040 children,5040 because3754 your3588 sins266 are forgiven863 you for his name's3686 sake.

13 I write1125 to you, fathers,3962 because3754 you have2192 known1097 him that is from the beginning.746 I write1125 to you, young3495 men,3495 because3754 you have overcome3528 the wicked4190 one. I write1125 to you, little3813 children,3813 because3754 you have known1097 the Father.3962

14 I have written1125 to you, fathers,3962 because3754 you have known1097 him that is from the beginning.746 I have written1125 to you, young3495 men,3495 because3754 you are strong,2478 and the word3056 of God2316 stays3306 in you, and you have overcome3528 the wicked4190 one.

15 Love25 not the world,2889 neither3366 the things that are in the world.2889 If1437 any5100 man love25 the world,2889 the love26 of the Father3962 is not in him.

16 For all3956 that is in the world,2889 the lust1939 of the flesh,4561 and the lust1939 of the eyes,3788 and the pride212 of life,979 is not of the Father,3962 but is of the world.2889

17 And the world2889 passes3855 away, and the lust1939 thereof:846 but he that does4160 the will2307 of God2316 stays3306 for ever.165

18 Little3813 children,3813 it is the last2078 time:5610 and as you have heard191 that antichrist500 shall come,2064 even2532 now3568 are there many4183 antichrists;500 whereby3606 we know1097 that it is the last2078 time.5610

19 They went1831 out from us, but they were not of us; for if1487 they had been2258 of us, they would no doubt639 have continued3306 with us: but they went out, that they might be made5319 manifest5319 that they were not all3956 of us.

20 But you have2192 an unction5545 from the Holy40 One, and you know1492 all3956 things.

21 I have not written1125 to you because3754 you know1492 not the truth,225 but because3754 you know1492 it, and that no3956 3756 lie5579 is of the truth.225

22 Who5101 is a liar5583 but he that denies720 that Jesus2424 is the Christ?5547 He is antichrist,500 that denies720 the Father3962 and the Son.5207

23 Whoever3956 3588 denies720 the Son,5207 the same3761 has2192 not the Father:3962 he that acknowledges the Son has2192 the Father also.2532

24 Let that therefore3767 abide3306 in you, which3739 you have heard191 from the beginning.746 If1437 that which3739 you have heard191 from the beginning746 shall remain3306 in you, you also2532 shall continue3306 in the Son,5207 and in the Father.3962

25 And this3778 is the promise1860 that he has promised1861 us, even eternal166 life.2222

26 These5023 things have I written1125 to you concerning4012 them that seduce4105 you.

27 But the anointing5545 which3739 you have received2983 of him stays3306 in you, and you need2192 5532 not that any5100 man teach1321 you: but as the same846 anointing5545 teaches1321 you of all3956 things, and is truth,227 and is no3956 3756 lie,5579 and even2531 as it has taught1321 you, you shall abide3306 in him.

28 And now,3568 little5040 children,5040 abide3306 in him; that, when3752 he shall appear,5319 we may have2192 confidence,3954 and not be ashamed153 before575 him at1722 his coming.3952

29 If1437 you know1492 that he is righteous,1342 you know1097 that every3956 one that does4160 righteousness1343 is born1080 of him.

9 人憎兄弟、言處光明、實居暗昧、

10 人而友兄弟、則處光明、無陷罪之由、

11 憎兄弟者、行止悉於暗昧、迷於向往、吒其眸子故也、

12 余書遺小子、因賴主名、爾罪見宥、

13 余書遺父老、因爾識元始之主、余書遺少者、因爾勝惡敵、余書遺孺子、因爾知父、

14 我書遺父老、因爾識元始之主、我書遺少者、因爾剛健、上帝之道存於爾衷、而勝惡敵、

15 勿濺世故、人而溺世、則不敬愛父者也、

16 蓋世人心爲欲所役、目爲物所引、驕泰邪侈、非父使之然、由世所誘、

17 世不能常存、所圖豈能久乎、惟遵上帝旨者恆在、

18 小子乎、爾聞季世、必有敵基督者、今敵基督者旣不一、其爲季世可知、

19 彼離我而出、非我友也、若我友、必恆偕我、出則非我友也明矣、

20 爾爲聖神所感、猶沐以膏、故無不知、

21 非爲爾不識眞理、乃以書達爾、正以爾實知眞理、而眞實中無少誕妄也、

22 誑者伊何、非不以耶穌爲基督乎、拒天父與其子者、顯與基督敵、

23 拒上帝子、則不心交父、宗上帝子、則心交父、
