1 When Jesus2424 had spoken2036 these words,5023 he went forth1831 with4862 his846 disciples3101 over4008 the3588 brook5493 Cedron,2748 where3699 was2258 a garden,2779 into1519 the which3739 he846 entered,1525 and2532 his846 disciples.3101

1 耶穌說了這些［these］話，就同門徒出去，過了汲淪溪。在那裏有一個園子，他和門徒進去了。

2 And1161 Judas2455 also,2532 which betrayed3860 him,846 knew1492 the3588 place:5117 for3754 Jesus2424 ofttimes4178 resorted4863 thither1563 with3326 his846 disciples.3101

2 賣耶穌的猶大也知道那地方，因為耶穌和門徒屢次上那裏去聚集。
|
|
3 Judas2455 then,3767 having received2983 a band4686 of men and2532 officers5257 from1537 the3588 chief priests749 and2532 Pharisees,5330 cometh2064 thither1563 with3326 lanterns5322 and2532 torches2985 and2532 weapons.3696

3 猶大領了一隊人［men］，和祭司長並法利賽人的差役，拿著燈籠、火把、兵器，就來到園裏。

|
4 Jesus2424 therefore,3767 knowing1492 all things3956 that should come2064 upon1909 him,848 went forth,1831 and said2036 unto them,846 Whom5101 seek2212 ye?
|
4 耶穌知道將要臨到自己的一切事，就出來對他們說：「你們找誰？」
|
|
5 They answered611 him,846 Jesus2424 of Nazareth.3480 Jesus2424 saith3004 unto them,846 I1473 am1510 he. And1161 Judas2455 also,2532 which betrayed3860 him,846 stood2476 with3326 them.846

5 他們回答他［him］說：「找拿撒勒的［of Nazareth］耶穌。」耶穌對他們［unto them］說：「我就是。」賣他的猶大也同他們站在那裏。

6 As soon then as5613 3767 he had said2036 unto them,846 I1473 am1510 he, they went565 backward,1519 3694 and2532 fell4098 to the ground.5476

6 耶穌一說「我就是」，他們就退後倒在地上。

|

8 耶穌說：「我已經告訴你們，我就是。你們若找我，就讓這些人去吧。」
|
|
9 That2443 the3588 saying3056 might be fulfilled,4137 which3739 he spake,2036 Of1537 them846 which3739 thou gavest1325 me3427 have3756 I lost622 none.3762

9 這要應驗耶穌從前的話，說：「你所賜給我的人，我沒有失落一個。」
|
|
10 Then3767 Simon4613 Peter4074 having2192 a sword3162 drew1670 it,846 and2532 smote3817 the3588 high priest's749 servant,1401 and2532 cut off609 his846 right1188 ear.5621 1161 The3588 servant's1401 name3686 was2258 Malchus.3124

10 西門．彼得帶著一把刀，就拔出來，將大祭司的僕人襲了一把［smote］，削掉他的右耳；那僕人名叫馬勒古。

|
11 Then3767 said2036 Jesus2424 unto Peter,4074 Put up906 thy4675 sword3162 into1519 the3588 sheath: 2336 the3588 cup4221 which3739 my Father3962 hath given1325 me,3427 shall I not3364 drink4095 it?846

11 耶穌就對彼得說：「收刀入鞘吧，我父所給我的那杯，我豈可不喝呢？」
|
|
12 Then3767 the3588 band4686 and2532 the3588 captain5506 and2532 officers5257 of the3588 Jews2453 took4815 Jesus,2424 and2532 bound1210 him,846

12 那隊兵和軍長［captain］，並猶太人的差役就拿住耶穌，把他捆綁了，
|
|
13 And2532 led him away520 846 to4314 Annas452 first;4412 for1063 he was2258 father in law3995 to Caiaphas,2533 which3739 was2258 the high priest749 that same1565 year.1763
|
13 先帶到亞那面前，因為亞那是本年作大祭司該亞法的岳父。
|
|
14 Now1161 Caiaphas2533 was2258 he,3588 which gave counsel4823 to the3588 Jews,2453 that3754 it was expedient4851 that one1520 man444 should die622 for5228 the3588 people.2992
|
14 這該亞法就是從前向猶太人發議論，說「一個人替百姓死是有益的」那位。

|
15 And1161 Simon4613 Peter4074 followed190 Jesus,2424 and2532 so did another243 disciple:3101 1161 that1565 disciple3101 was2258 known1110 unto the3588 high priest,749 and2532 went in with4897 Jesus2424 into1519 the3588 palace833 of the3588 high priest.749

15 西門．彼得跟著耶穌，還有一個門徒跟著。那門徒是大祭司所認識的，他就同耶穌進了大祭司的院子。

16 But1161 Peter4074 stood2476 at4314 the3588 door2374 without.1854 Then3767 went out1831 that other243 disciple,3101 which3739 was2258 known1110 unto the3588 high priest,749 and2532 spake2036 unto her that kept the door,2377 and2532 brought in1521 Peter.4074

16 彼得卻站在門外。大祭司所認識的那個門徒出來，和看門的使女說了一聲，就領彼得進去。

|
17 Then3767 saith3004 the3588 damsel3814 that kept the door2377 unto Peter,4074 Art1488 not3361 thou4771 also2532 one of1537 this5127 man's444 disciples?3101 He1565 saith,3004 I am1510 not.3756
|
17 那看門的女子［damsel］對彼得說：「你不也是這人的門徒嗎？」他說：「我不是。」
|
|
18 And1161 the3588 servants1401 and2532 officers5257 stood2476 there, who had made4160 a fire of coals;439 for3754 it was2258 cold:5592 and2532 they warmed2328 themselves: and1161 Peter4074 stood2258 2476 with3326 them,846 and2532 warmed2328 himself.

18 僕人和差役因為天冷，就生了炭火；他們就［and they］站在那裏烤火自暖［warmed themselves］。彼得也同他們站著烤火自暖［warmed himself］。
|
|
19 The3588 high priest749 then3767 asked2065 Jesus2424 of4012 his846 disciples,3101 and2532 of4012 his846 doctrine.1322
|
19 大祭司就以耶穌的門徒和他的道理［doctrine］盤問他。
|
|
20 Jesus2424 answered611 him,846 I1473 spake2980 openly3954 to the3588 world;2889 I1473 ever3842 taught1321 in1722 the3588 synagogue,4864 and2532 in1722 the3588 temple,2411 whither3699 the3588 Jews2453 always3842 resort;4905 and2532 in1722 secret2927 have I said2980 nothing.3752

20 耶穌回答說：「我從來是明明的對世人說話。我常在會堂和殿裏，就是猶太人常常［always］聚集的地方教訓人；我在暗地裏並沒有說甚麼。

21 Why5101 askest1905 thou me?1905 ask1905 them which heard191 me, what5101 I have said2980 unto them: 846 behold,2396 they3778 know1492 what3739 I1473 said.2036
|
21 你為甚麼問我呢？可以問那聽見的人，我對他們說的是甚麼；看哪［behold］，我所說的，他們都知道。」
|
|
22 And1161 when he846 had thus5023 spoken,2036 one1520 of the3588 officers5257 which stood by3936 struck Jesus with the palm of his hand,1325 2424 4475 saying,2036 Answerest611 thou the3588 high priest749 so?3779
|
22 耶穌說了這話，旁邊站著的一個差役用手掌打他，說：「你這樣回答大祭司嗎？」
|
|
23 Jesus2424 answered611 him,846 If1487 I have spoken2980 evil,2560 bear witness3140 of4012 the3588 evil: 2556 but1161 if1487 well,2573 why5101 smitest1194 thou me?3165
|
23 耶穌說：「我若說的不是，你可以指證那不是；我若說的是，你為甚麼打我呢？」
|
|
24 Now Annas452 had sent649 him846 bound1210 unto4314 Caiaphas2533 the3588 high priest.749
|
24 亞那就把耶穌送［sent］到大祭司該亞法那裏，仍是捆著［bound］去的。
|
|
25 And Simon4613 Peter4074 stood2258 2476 and2532 warmed2328 himself. They said2036 therefore3767 unto him,846 Art1488 not3361 thou4771 also2532 one of1537 his846 disciples?3101 He1565 denied720 it, and2532 said,2036 I am1510 not.3756

25 西門．彼得站著烤火自暖［stood and warmed himself］。於是［therefore］他們［They］對他說：「你不也是他的門徒嗎？」彼得不承認這事［it］，說：「我不是。」

26 One1520 of1537 the3588 servants1401 of the3588 high priest,749 being5607 his kinsman4773 whose3739 ear5621 Peter4074 cut off,609 saith,3004 Did not3756 I1473 see1492 thee4571 in1722 the3588 garden2779 with3326 him?846
|
26 有大祭司的一個僕人，是彼得削掉耳朵那人的親屬，說：「我不是看見你同他在園子裏嗎？」
|
|
27 Peter4074 then3767 denied720 again:3825 and2532 immediately2112 the cock220 crew.5455
|
27 彼得又不承認；立時雞就叫了。
|
|
28 Then3767 led71 they Jesus2424 from575 Caiaphas2533 unto1519 the3588 hall of judgment:4232 and1161 it was2258 early;4405 and2532 they846 themselves went1525 not3756 into1519 the3588 judgment hall,4232 lest3363 they should be defiled;3392 but235 that2443 they might eat5315 the3588 passover.3957

28 眾人將耶穌從該亞法那裏往審判廳［judgment hall］內領［led］去，那時天還早。他們自己卻不進審判廳［judgment hall］，恐怕染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的筵席。

|
29 Pilate4091 then3767 went out1831 unto4314 them,846 and2532 said,2036 What5101 accusation2724 bring5342 ye against2596 this5127 man?444
|
29 彼拉多就出來，到他們那裏，說：「你們告這人是為甚麼事呢？」
|
|
30 They answered611 and2532 said2036 unto him,846 If1487 he3778 were2258 not3361 a malefactor,2555 we would not3756 have302 delivered him up3860 846 unto thee.4671
|
30 他們回答他［him］說：「這人若不是作惡的，我們就不把他交給你。」
|
|
31 Then3767 said2036 Pilate4091 unto them,846 Take2983 ye5210 him,846 and2532 judge2919 him846 according2596 to your5216 law.3551 The3588 Jews2453 therefore3767 said2036 unto him,846 It is not lawful1832 3756 for us2254 to put any man to death:615 3762

31 彼拉多便［Then］對他們［unto them］說：「你們自己帶他去，按著你們的律法審問他吧。」猶太人就［therefore］對他［unto him］說：「我們沒有把人治死［put any men to death］的權柄。」
|
|
32 That2443 the3588 saying3056 of Jesus2424 might be fulfilled,4137 which3739 he spake,2036 signifying4591 what4169 death2288 he should3195 die.599
|
32 這要應驗耶穌所說自己將要怎樣死的話了。
|
|
33 Then3767 Pilate4091 entered1525 into1519 the3588 judgment hall4232 again,3825 and2532 called5455 Jesus,2424 and2532 said2036 unto him,846 Art1488 thou4771 the3588 King935 of the3588 Jews?2453
|
33 彼拉多又進了審判廳［judgment hall］，叫耶穌來，對他說：「你是猶太人的王嗎？」
|
|
34 Jesus2424 answered611 him,846 Sayest3004 thou4771 this thing5124 of575 thyself,1438 or2228 did others243 tell2036 it thee4671 of4012 me?1700
|
34 耶穌回答說：「這話是你自己說的，還是別人論我對你說的呢？」
|
|
35 Pilate4091 answered,611 3385 Am1510 I1473 a Jew?2453 Thine own4674 nation1484 and2532 the3588 chief priests749 have delivered3860 thee4571 unto me:1698 what5101 hast thou done?4160
|
35 彼拉多說：「我豈是猶太人呢？你本國的人和祭司長把你交給我。你作了甚麼事呢？」
|
|
36 Jesus2424 answered,611 My1699 kingdom932 is2076 not3756 of1537 this5127 world: 2889 if1487 my1699 kingdom932 were2258 of1537 this5127 world,2889 then would my1699 servants5257 fight,75 302 that2443 I should not3361 be delivered3860 to the3588 Jews: 2453 but1161 now3568 is2076 my1699 kingdom932 not3756 from hence.1782

36 耶穌回答說：「我的國不屬這世界；我的國若屬這世界，我的臣僕必要爭戰，使我不至於被交給猶太人；只是如今［now］我的國不屬這世界。」
|
|
37 Pilate4091 therefore3767 said2036 unto him,846 Art1488 thou4771 a king935 then?3766 Jesus2424 answered,611 Thou4771 sayest3004 that3754 I1473 am1510 a king.935 To1519 this end5124 was I1473 born,1080 and2532 for1519 this cause5124 came2064 I into1519 the3588 world,2889 that2443 I should bear witness3140 unto the3588 truth.225 Every one3956 that is5607 of1537 the3588 truth225 heareth191 my3450 voice.5456

37 彼拉多就對他說：「這樣，你是王嗎？」耶穌回答說：「你說我是王。我為此而生，也為此來到世間，特為給真理作見證。凡屬真理的人就聽我的話。」
|
|
38 Pilate4091 saith3004 unto him,846 What5101 is2076 truth?225 And2532 when he had said2036 this,5124 he went out1831 again3825 unto4314 the3588 Jews,2453 and2532 saith3004 unto them,846 I1473 find2147 in1722 him846 no3762 fault156 at all.

38 彼拉多說：「真理是甚麼呢？」說了這話，又出來到猶太人那裏，對他們說：「我查不出他有甚麼錯［fault］來。
|
|
39 But1161 ye5213 have2076 a custom,4914 that2443 I should release630 unto you5213 one1520 at1722 the3588 passover:3957 will1014 ye therefore3767 that I release630 unto you5213 the3588 King935 of the3588 Jews?2453
|
39 但你們有個規矩，在逾越節要我給你們釋放一個人；故此［therefore］，你們要我給你們釋放猶太人的王嗎？」
|
|
40 Then3767 cried2905 they all3956 again,3825 saying,3004 Not3361 this man,5126 but235 Barabbas.912 Now1161 Barabbas912 was2258 a robber.3027
|
40 他們又都［all］喊著說：「不要這人，要巴拉巴。」這巴拉巴是個強盜。
