10 And the LORD3068 discomfited2000 them before6440 Israel,3478 and slew5221 them with a great1419 slaughter4347 at Gibeon,1391 and chased7291 them along the way1870 that goeth up4608 to Beth-horon,1032 and smote5221 them to5704 Azekah,5825 and unto5704 Makkedah.4719

10 Aber der HErr3068 schreckte2000 sie vor6440 Israel3478, daß sie eine große1419 Schlacht4347 schlugen5221 zu4719 Gibeon1391, und jagten ihnen nach7291 den Weg1870 hinan4608 zu Beth-Horon1032 und schlugen5221 sie bis gen Aseka5825 und Makeda.

11 And it came to pass,1961 as they fled5127 from before4480 6440 Israel,3478 and were in the going down4174 to Beth-horon,1032 that the LORD3068 cast down7993 great1419 stones68 from4480 heaven8064 upon5921 them unto5704 Azekah,5825 and they died:4191 they were more7227 which834 died4191 with hailstones1259 68 than they whom4480 834 the children1121 of Israel3478 slew2026 with the sword.2719

13 And the sun8121 stood still,1826 and the moon3394 stayed,5975 until5704 the people1471 had avenged5358 themselves upon their enemies.341 Is not3808 this1931 written3789 in5921 the book5612 of Jasher?3477 So the sun8121 stood5975 still in the midst2677 of heaven,8064 and hasted213 not3808 to go down935 about a whole8549 day.3117

13 Da stund die Sonne8121 und5975 der Mond3394 stille1826, bis daß sich das1931 Volk1471 an seinen Feinden341 rächete. Ist5975 dies nicht geschrieben3789 im Buch5612 des Frommen3477? Also stund die Sonne8121 mitten2677 am Himmel8064 und verzog213 unterzugehen935 einen ganzen8549 Tag3117.

14 And there was1961 no3808 day3117 like that1931 before6440 it or after310 it, that the LORD3068 hearkened8085 unto the voice6963 of a man:376 for3588 the LORD3068 fought3898 for Israel.3478

14 Und war kein Tag3117 diesem gleich, weder zuvor noch danach, da310 der HErr3068 der Stimme6963 eines Mannes376 gehorchte8085; denn der HErr3068 stritt3898 für6440 Israel3478.

15 And Joshua3091 returned,7725 and all3605 Israel3478 with5973 him, unto413 the camp4264 to Gilgal.1537

15 Josua3091 aber zog wieder7725 ins Lager4264 gen Gilgal1537 und das ganze Israel3478 mit ihm.

|
16 But these428 five2568 kings4428 fled,5127 and hid themselves2244 in a cave4631 at Makkedah.4719

19 Ihr aber stehet5975 nicht stille, sondern jaget euren Feinden341 nach7291 und310 schlaget ihre Hintersten; und lasset sie5414 nicht in ihre Städte5892 kommen935, denn der HErr3068, euer GOtt430, hat sie in eure Hände3027 gegeben5414.

20 And it came to pass,1961 when Joshua3091 and the children1121 of Israel3478 had made an end3615 of slaying5221 them with a very3966 great1419 slaughter,4347 till5704 they were consumed,8552 that the rest8300 which remained8277 of4480 them entered935 into413 fenced4013 cities.5892

23 And they did6213 so,3651 and brought forth3318 853 those428 five2568 kings4428 unto413 him out of4480 the cave,4631 853 the king4428 of Jerusalem,3389 853 the king4428 of Hebron,2275 853 the king4428 of Jarmuth,3412 853 the king4428 of Lachish,3923 and853 the king4428 of Eglon.5700

24 And it came to pass,1961 when they brought out3318 853 those428 kings4428 unto413 Joshua,3091 that Joshua3091 called7121 for413 all3605 the men376 of Israel,3478 and said559 unto413 the captains7101 of the men376 of war4421 which went1980 with854 him, Come near,7126 put7760 853 your feet7272 upon5921 the necks6677 of these428 kings.4428 And they came near,7126 and put7760 853 their feet7272 upon5921 the necks6677 of them.

24 Da aber die fünf Könige4428 zu ihm herausgebracht waren, rief7121 Josua3091 dem ganzen Israel3478 und3091 sprach559 zu den Obersten7101 des Kriegsvolks, die mit ihm zogen1980: Kommt3318 herzu7126 und376 tretet diesen Königen4428 mit Füßen7272 auf die Hälse6677! Und7760 sie582 kamen herzu7126 und7760 traten mit Füßen7272 auf ihre Hälse6677.

25 And Joshua3091 said559 unto413 them, Fear3372 not,408 nor408 be dismayed,2865 be strong2388 and of good courage:553 for3588 thus3602 shall the LORD3068 do6213 to all3605 your enemies341 against whom834 853 ye859 fight.3898

26 And afterward310 3651 Joshua3091 smote5221 them, and slew4191 them, and hanged8518 them on5921 five2568 trees:6086 and they were1961 hanging8518 upon5921 the trees6086 until5704 the evening.6153

27 And it came to pass1961 at the time6256 of the going down935 of the sun,8121 that Joshua3091 commanded,6680 and they took them down3381 off the trees,4480 5921 6086 and cast7993 them into413 the cave4631 wherein834 8033 they had been hid,2244 and laid7760 great1419 stones68 in5921 the cave's4631 mouth,6310 which remain until5704 this2088 very6106 day.3117

27 Da6256 aber die Sonne8121 war935 untergegangen, gebot6680 er7993, daß man sie von den Bäumen6086 nähme und3091 würfe sie in die Höhle4631, darinnen sie sich2244 verkrochen hatten; und legten7760 große1419 Steine68 vor der Höhle4631 Loch6310. Die sind3381 noch da auf diesen6106 Tag3117.

28 And that1931 day3117 Joshua3091 took3920 Makkedah,4719 and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and the king4428 thereof he utterly destroyed2763 them, and all3605 the souls5315 that834 were therein; he let7604 none3808 remain:8300 and he did6213 to the king4428 of Makkedah4719 as834 he did6213 unto the king4428 of Jericho.3405

30 And the LORD3068 delivered5414 it also,1571 and the king4428 thereof, into the hand3027 of Israel;3478 and he smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and all3605 the souls5315 that834 were therein; he let7604 none3808 remain8300 in it; but did6213 unto the king4428 thereof as834 he did6213 unto the king4428 of Jericho.3405

32 And the LORD3068 delivered5414 853 Lachish3923 into the hand3027 of Israel,3478 which took3920 it on the second8145 day,3117 and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and all3605 the souls5315 that834 were therein, according to all3605 that834 he had done6213 to Libnah.3841

32 Und der HErr3068 gab5414 Lachis3923 auch in die Hände3027 Israels3478, daß sie sie des andern8145 Tages3117 gewannen3920, und schlugen5221 sie mit der Schärfe6310 des Schwerts2719 und alle Seelen5315, die drinnen waren, allerdinge wie er Libna3841 getan hatte6213.

33 Then227 Horam2036 king4428 of Gezer1507 came up5927 to help5826 853 Lachish;3923 and Joshua3091 smote5221 him and his people,5971 until5704 he had left7604 him none1115 remaining.8300

33 Zu derselbigen Zeit zog5927 Horam2036, der König4428 zu Geser1507, hinauf, Lachis3923 zu helfen5826; aber Josua3091 schlug5221 ihn mit all seinem Volk5971, bis daß niemand8300 drinnen überblieb.

34 And from Lachish4480 3923 Joshua3091 passed5674 unto Eglon,5700 and all3605 Israel3478 with5973 him; and they encamped2583 against5921 it, and fought3898 against5921 it:

34 Und Josua3091 zog5674 von Lachis3923 samt dem ganzen Israel3478 gen Eglon5700 und belegte und bestritt3898 sie2583.

35 And they took3920 it on that1931 day,3117 and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and all3605 the souls5315 that834 were therein he utterly destroyed2763 that1931 day,3117 according to all3605 that834 he had done6213 to Lachish.3923

35 Und gewann3920 sie2763 desselbigen Tages3117 und schlug5221 sie mit der Schärfe6310 des Schwerts2719; und verbannete alle Seelen5315, die drinnen waren, desselbigen Tages3117, allerdinge wie er Lachis3923 getan hatte6213.

36 And Joshua3091 went up5927 from Eglon,4480 5700 and all3605 Israel3478 with5973 him, unto Hebron;2275 and they fought3898 against5921 it:

36 Danach zog5927 Josua3091 hinauf samt dem ganzen Israel3478 von Eglon5700 gen Hebron2275 und bestritt3898 sie.

37 And they took3920 it, and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and the king4428 thereof, and all3605 the cities5892 thereof, and all3605 the souls5315 that834 were therein; he left7604 none3808 remaining,8300 according to all3605 that834 he had done6213 to Eglon;5700 but destroyed2763 it utterly, and all3605 the souls5315 that834 were therein.

39 And he took3920 it, and the king4428 thereof, and all3605 the cities5892 thereof; and they smote5221 them with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and utterly destroyed2763 853 all3605 the souls5315 that834 were therein; he left7604 none3808 remaining:8300 as834 he had done6213 to Hebron,2275 so3651 he did6213 to Debir,1688 and to the king4428 thereof; as834 he had done6213 also to Libnah,3841 and to her king.4428

40 So Joshua3091 smote5221 853 all3605 the country776 of the hills,2022 and of the south,5045 and of the vale,8219 and of the springs,794 and all3605 their kings:4428 he left7604 none3808 remaining,8300 but utterly destroyed2763 all3605 that breathed,5397 as834 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 commanded.6680

40 Also schlug5221 Josua3091 alles Land776 auf dem Gebirge2022 und gegen Mittag5045 und in den Gründen8219 und an den Bächen mit allen ihren Königen4428; und ließ7604 niemand8300 überbleiben und verbannete alles, was Odem5397 hatte6680,, wie der HErr3068, der GOtt430 Israels3478, geboten hatte.

41 And Joshua3091 smote5221 them from Kadesh-barnea4480 6947 even unto5704 Gaza,5804 and all3605 the country776 of Goshen,1657 even unto5704 Gibeon.1391

41 Und3091 schlug5221 sie von Kades-Barnea6947 an bis gen Gasa und das ganze Land776 Gosen1657 bis gen Gibeon1391.

42 And all3605 these428 kings4428 and their land776 did Joshua3091 take3920 at one259 time,6471 because3588 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 fought3898 for Israel.3478

42 Und3091 gewann3920 alle diese Könige4428 mit ihrem Lande776 auf einmal259; denn der HErr3068, der GOtt430 Israels3478, stritt3898 für Israel3478.

43 And Joshua3091 returned,7725 and all3605 Israel3478 with5973 him, unto413 the camp4264 to Gilgal.1537

43 Und Josua3091 zog wieder7725 ins Lager4264 gen Gilgal1537 mit dem ganzen Israel3478.
