Zechariah

Chapter 10

1 Ask7592 ye of the LORD4480 3068 rain4306 in the time6256 of the latter rain;4456 so the LORD3068 shall make6213 bright clouds,2385 and give5414 them showers1653 of rain,4306 to every one376 grass6212 in the field.7704

2 For3588 the idols8655 have spoken1696 vanity,205 and the diviners7080 have seen2372 a lie,8267 and have told1696 false7723 dreams;2472 they comfort5162 in vain:1892 therefore5921 3651 they went their way5265 as3644 a flock,6629 they were troubled,6031 because3588 there was no369 shepherd.7462

3 Mine anger639 was kindled2734 against5921 the shepherds,7462 and I punished6485 5921 the goats:6260 for3588 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 hath visited6485 853 his flock5739 853 the house1004 of Judah,3063 and hath made7760 them as his goodly1935 horse5483 in the battle.4421

4 Out of4480 him came forth3318 the corner,6438 out of4480 him the nail,3489 out of4480 him the battle4421 bow,7198 out of4480 him every3605 oppressor5065 together.3162

5 And they shall be1961 as mighty1368 men, which tread down947 their enemies in the mire2916 of the streets2351 in the battle:4421 and they shall fight,3898 because3588 the LORD3068 is with5973 them, and the riders7392 on horses5483 shall be confounded.954

6 And I will strengthen1396 853 the house1004 of Judah,3063 and I will save3467 the house1004 of Joseph,3130 and I will bring them again7725 to place them; for3588 I have mercy upon7355 them: and they shall be1961 as though834 I had not3808 cast them off:2186 for3588 I589 am the LORD3068 their God,430 and will hear6030 them.

7 And they of Ephraim669 shall be1961 like a mighty1368 man, and their heart3820 shall rejoice8055 as through3644 wine:3196 yea, their children1121 shall see7200 it, and be glad;8055 their heart3820 shall rejoice1523 in the LORD.3068

8 I will hiss8319 for them, and gather6908 them; for3588 I have redeemed6299 them: and they shall increase7235 as3644 they have increased.7235

9 And I will sow2232 them among the people:5971 and they shall remember2142 me in far countries;4801 and they shall live2421 with854 their children,1121 and turn again.7725

10 I will bring them again7725 also out of the land4480 776 of Egypt,4714 and gather6908 them out of Assyria;4480 804 and I will bring935 them into413 the land776 of Gilead1568 and Lebanon;3844 and place shall not3808 be found4672 for them.

11 And he shall pass5674 through the sea3220 with affliction,6869 and shall smite5221 the waves1530 in the sea,3220 and all3605 the deeps4688 of the river2975 shall dry up:3001 and the pride1347 of Assyria804 shall be brought down,3381 and the scepter7626 of Egypt4714 shall depart away.5493

12 And I will strengthen1396 them in the LORD;3068 and they shall walk up and down1980 in his name,8034 saith5002 the LORD.3068

1 У Иеговы просите дождя во время весеннее; Иегова произведет молнии, и обильный дождь даст им; у всякого на поле будет зелень.

2 Ибо терафимы говорили пустое, и гадатели видели ложь, и рассказывали пустые сны, утешали неправдою; оттого и разбрелись они как овцы; страдают, потому что нет пастыря.

3 На пастырей воспылал гнев Мой; и козлов Я пересмотрю, потому что Иегова воинств восприял в попечение стадо Свое, дом Иудин; и поставит их как прекрасного коня Своего в сражении.

4 Из него и угловые столбы, из него и колья, из него лук брани, и всякий повелитель произойдет от него.

5 И будут как храбрые, попирающие грязь улиц во время битвы; и сразятся, потому что Иегова с ними, и посрамят сидящих на конях.

6 И соделаю дом Иуды сильным, и дом Иосифов сделаю победоносным; и водворю их, потому что Я умилосердился над ними, и будут в таком состоянии, как бы Я не от вергал их: ибо Я Иегова Бог их, и услышу их.

7 И будут Ефремляне, как храбрые воины; и сердце их будет весело как от вина; и дети их увидят, и возрадуются; возвеселится сердце их в Иегове.

8 Я свистну им, и соберу их, потому что Я искупил их; и будет их много, как много было прежде.

9 И рассею их по народам; но и в отдаленных странах они вспомнят Меня; и будут живы с детьми своими, и возвратятся.

10 И возвращу их из земли египетской, и соберу их из Ассирии; и приведу их в землю галаадскую и ливанскую, и не достанет места для них.

11 И перейдет беда на море, и поразит волны в море; и будут посрамлены все пучины великой реки, и унизится гордость Ассура, и скипетр отойдет от Египта.

12 И соделаю их сильными в Иегове, и в имени Его будут они ходить, говорит Иегова.
