1 Собирай теперь войско свое, город, врагами окруженный, — мы в осаде; тростью будут бить по щеке судью Израиля.
2 «А ты, Вифлеем-Эфрата, как ни мал ты среди других городов Иудеи, но из тебя выйдет по воле Моей Тот, Кто в Израиле править будет, — происхождение Его издревле, от вечности», — говорит Господь.
3 Потому будут оставлены сыны Израилевы лишь до срока, пока не родит роженица и не вернутся к ним из плена оставшиеся в живых братья.
4 Правитель Тот, когда явится, станет печься о них, как добрый пастырь будет заботиться, с силой, от ГОСПОДА исходящей, от величественного имени ГОСПОДА, Бога Его; и будут жить они тогда в безопасности, ибо величие Его будет признано во всех пределах земных,
5 и принесет Он мир. Когда вторгнется Ассирия в страну нашу и будет крепости наши попирать, мы выставим против нее семерых пастухов и восемь человек княжеского рода.
6 Мечом захватят они в Ассирии власть и острием его станут править в стране Нимрода. Спасет Он нас от ассирийцев, когда вторгнутся они в страну нашу, будут попирать наши пределы.
7 И будет остаток Иакова посреди множества народов как роса от ГОСПОДА, как ливень на луга: ни то, ни другое от человека не зависит и не ждет повелений от смертных.
8 И будет остаток Иакова среди разных племен, посреди множества народов, как лев среди лесных зверей, как молодой лев среди овечьих отар: промчится, растопчет, разорвет — и никто от него не спасет.
9 Поднимется рука твоя, Израиль, на врагов твоих — истреблены будут все недруги твои.
10 «Но и так будет в тот день, — предостерегает ГОСПОДЬ, — всех коней твоих у тебя истреблю, колесницы твои уничтожу,
11 истреблю города в стране твоей, крепости все твои разрушу;
12 чародейство, за которое держишься, искореню, и гадателей у тебя не будет впредь;
13 истреблю кумиров твоих резных и столбы священные, дабы не поклонялся ты более творениям рук своих;
14 рощи твои, Ашере посвященные, вырублю у тебя все до единой, твои города, идолопоклонством оскверненные, уничтожу Я.
15 Яростным будет отмщенье Мое племенам, в непослушании погрязшим!»

1 Now6258 gather1413 yourself in troops,1413 O daughter1323 of troops:1416 he has laid7760 siege4692 against5921 us: they shall smite5221 the judge8199 of Israel3478 with a rod7626 on the cheek.3895
2 But you, Bethlehem1035 Ephratah,672 though you be little6810 among the thousands505 of Judah,3063 yet out of you shall he come3318 forth3318 to me that is to be ruler4910 in Israel;3478 whose goings4163 forth4163 have been from of old,6924 from everlasting.5769
3 Therefore3651 will he give5414 them up, until5704 the time6256 that she which travails3205 has brought3205 forth:3205 then the remnant3499 of his brothers251 shall return7725 to the children1121 of Israel.3478
4 And he shall stand5975 and feed7462 in the strength5797 of the LORD,3068 in the majesty1347 of the name8034 of the LORD3068 his God;430 and they shall abide:3427 for now6258 shall he be great1431 to the ends657 of the earth.776
5 And this2088 man shall be the peace,7965 when3588 the Assyrian804 shall come935 into our land:776 and when3588 he shall tread1869 in our palaces,759 then shall we raise6965 against5921 him seven7651 shepherds,7462 and eight8083 principal5257 men.120
6 And they shall waste7489 the land776 of Assyria804 with the sword,2719 and the land776 of Nimrod5248 in the entrances6607 thereof: thus shall he deliver5337 us from the Assyrian,804 when3588 he comes935 into our land,776 and when3588 he treads1869 within our borders.1366
7 And the remnant7611 of Jacob3290 shall be in the middle7130 of many7227 people5971 as a dew2919 from the LORD,3068 as the showers7241 on the grass,6212 that tarries6960 not for man,376 nor3808 waits3176 for the sons1121 of men.120
8 And the remnant7611 of Jacob3290 shall be among the Gentiles1471 in the middle7130 of many7227 people5971 as a lion738 among the beasts929 of the forest,3293 as a young3715 lion3715 among the flocks5739 of sheep:6629 who,834 if518 he go5674 through,5674 both treads7429 down, and tears2963 in pieces, and none369 can deliver.5337
9 Your hand3027 shall be lifted7311 up on your adversaries,6862 and all your enemies341 shall be cut3772 off.
10 And it shall come1961 to pass in that day,3117 said5002 the LORD,3068 that I will cut3772 off your horses5483 out of the middle7130 of you, and I will destroy6 your chariots:4818
11 And I will cut3772 off the cities5892 of your land,776 and throw2040 down2040 all3605 your strong4013 holds:4013
12 And I will cut3772 off witchcrafts3785 out of your hand;3027 and you shall have1961 no3808 more soothsayers:6049
13 Your graven6456 images4676 also will I cut3772 off, and your standing4676 images out of the middle7130 of you; and you shall no3808 more5750 worship7812 the work4639 of your hands.3027
14 And I will pluck5428 up your groves842 out of the middle7130 of you: so will I destroy8045 your cities.5892
15 And I will execute6213 vengeance5359 in anger639 and fury2534 on the heathen,1471 such as they have not heard.8085

5 и принесет Он мир. Когда вторгнется Ассирия в страну нашу и будет крепости наши попирать, мы выставим против нее семерых пастухов и восемь человек княжеского рода.

7 И будет остаток Иакова посреди множества народов как роса от ГОСПОДА, как ливень на луга: ни то, ни другое от человека не зависит и не ждет повелений от смертных.
