第3章

1 耶和華在西奈山曉諭摩西的日子，亞倫和摩西的後代如下：

2 亞倫的兒子，長子名叫拿答，還有亞比戶、以利亞撒、以她瑪。

3 這是亞倫兒子的名字，都是受膏的祭司，是摩西叫他們承接聖職供祭司職分的。

4 拿答、亞比戶在西奈的曠野向耶和華獻異火［strange fire］的時候就死在耶和華面前了。他們也沒有兒女［children］。以利亞撒、以她瑪在他們的父親亞倫眼［sight］前供祭司的職分。

5 耶和華曉諭摩西說：

6 「你使利未支派近前來，站在祭司亞倫面前好服事他，

7 他們要［they shall］替他、替全［whole］會眾在會幕前守所囑咐［charge］的，辦理帳幕的事。

8 他們［they］又要看守會幕的器具，並守所囑咐［charge］以色列人的，辦理帳幕的事。

9 你要將利未人給亞倫和他的兒子，因為他們是從以色列人中選出來給他的。

10 你要囑咐亞倫和他的兒子謹守自己祭司的職任。近前來的外人必被治死。」

11 耶和華曉諭摩西說：

12 「看哪［behold］，我從以色列人中揀選了利未人，代替以色列人一切頭生的；利未人要歸我。

13 因為凡頭生的是我的；我在埃及地擊殺一切頭生的那日就把以色列中一切頭生的，連人帶牲畜都分別為聖歸我；他們定要屬我。我是耶和華。」

14 耶和華在西奈的曠野曉諭摩西說：

15 「你要照利未人的父家［house of their fathers］、家室數點他們。凡一個月以外男子都要數點。」

16 於是摩西照耶和華所吩咐的數點他們。

17 利未眾子的名字是革順、哥轄、米拉利。

18 革順的兒子，按著家室，是立尼、示每。

19 哥轄的兒子，按著家室，是暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯倫、烏薛。

20 米拉利的兒子，按著家室，是抹利、母示。這些都是［are］按著父家［house of their fathers］是利未人的家室。

21 屬革順的，有立尼族、示每族。這是革順的二族。

22 其中被數、從一個月以外所有的男子共有七千五百名。

23 這革順的二族要在帳幕後西邊安營。

24 拉伊勒的兒子以利雅薩作革順人宗族的首領。

25 革順的子孫在會幕中所要看守的，就是帳幕和罩棚，並罩棚的蓋與會幕的門簾，

26 院子的遮簾［hangings］和門簾，就是在［which is］帳幕和壇旁邊［by］的，並一切使用的繩子。

27 屬哥轄的，有暗蘭族、以斯哈族、希伯倫族、烏薛族。這是哥轄的諸族。

28 按所有男子的數目，從一個月以外看守聖所的，共有八千六百名。

29 哥轄兒子的諸族要在帳幕的南邊安營。

30 烏薛的兒子以利撒反作哥轄宗族家室的首領。

31 他們所要看守的是約櫃、桌子、燭臺［candlestick］、兩座壇與聖所內使用的器皿，並簾子和一切使用之物。

32 祭司亞倫的兒子以利亞撒作利未人眾首領的領袖，要監察那些看守聖所的人。

33 屬米拉利的，有抹利族、母示族。這是米拉利的二族。

34 他們被數的，按所有男子的數目，從一個月以外的，共有六千二百名。

35 亞比亥的兒子蘇列作米拉利二宗族的首領。他們要在帳幕的北邊安營。

36 米拉利子孫的職分是看守帳幕的板、閂、柱子、帶卯的座，和帳幕一切所使用的器具，

37 院子四圍的柱子、帶卯的座、釘子［pins］，和繩子。

38 但［But］在帳幕前東邊，向東邊［eastward］之地安營的是摩西、亞倫，和亞倫的兒子，他們看守聖所，替以色列人守耶和華所囑咐［charge］的；近前來的外人必被治死。

39 凡被數的利未人，就是摩西、亞倫照耶和華吩咐所數的，遍及［throughout］家室，從一個月以外的男子，共有二萬二千名。

40 耶和華對摩西說：「你要從以色列人中數點一個月以外、凡頭生的男子，把他們的名字記下。

41 我是耶和華。你要揀選利未人歸我，代替以色列人所有頭生的，也取利未人的牲畜代替以色列所有頭生的牲畜。」

42 摩西就照耶和華所吩咐的把以色列人頭生的都數點了。

43 按人名的數目，從一個月以外、凡頭生的男子，共有二萬二千二百七十三名。

44 耶和華曉諭摩西說：

45 「你揀選利未人代替以色列人所有頭生的，也取利未人的牲畜代替以色列人的牲畜。利未人要歸我；我是耶和華。

46 以色列人中頭生的男子比利未人多二百七十三個，必當將他們贖出來。

47 你要按人丁，照聖所的平，每人取贖銀五舍客勒（一舍客勒是二十季拉），

48 把那多餘之人的贖錢［money］交給亞倫和他的兒子。」

49 於是摩西從那被利未人所贖以外的人取了贖錢［money］。

50 從以色列人頭生的所取之錢［money］，按聖所的平，有一千三百六十五舍客勒。

51 摩西照耶和華的話把這贖錢［money］給亞倫和他的兒子，正如耶和華所吩咐的。

Chapter 3

1 THESE are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the LORD spoke with Moses on mount Sinai.

2 And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab, his first-born, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron the priest, who were anointed and consecrated to minister in the priest's office.

4 But Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD when they offered strange fire before the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office during the lifetime of Aaron their father.

5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him.

7 And they shall keep his charge and the charge of the whole congregation in the presence of the LORD before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.

8 And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.

9 And you shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons; they are wholly given to him as a gift out of the children of Israel.

10 And you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office; and the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.

11 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

12 Behold I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the first-born that open the womb among the children of Israel; therefore the Levites shall be mine;

13 Because all the first-born are mine; for on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to me all the first-born in Israel, both man and beast; they shall be mine; I am the LORD.

14 And the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,

15 Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families; every male from a month old and upward, you shall number them.

16 So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.

17 These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon and Kohath and Merari.

18 And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.

19 And the sons of Kohath by their families: Amram and Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.

20 And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahali and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers.

21 Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites and the family of the Shimites; these are the families of the Gershonites.

22 Their number, according to the number of all the males from a month old and upward was seven thousand and five hundred.

23 The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.

24 And the chief of the house of the fathers of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Eliab.

25 And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation shall be the tabernacle and the tent, its covering and the curtains for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation

26 And the curtains of the court and the covering for the door of the court which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and the cords of it, and all the instruments thereof.

27 And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites and the family of the Izeharites and the family of the Hebronites and the family of the Uzzielites; these are the families of the Kohathites.

28 Their number according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, was eight thousand and six hundred, looking after the sanctuary.

29 The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle southward.

30 And the chief of the house of the fathers of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizphan the son of Uzziel.

31 And their charge shall be the ark and the table and the candlestick and the altars and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister and the curtain of the door and all the service thereof.

32 And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the chief over the chiefs of the Levites and have the oversight over those who have charge of the sanctuary.

33 Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites and the family of the Mushites; these are the families of Merari.

34 Their number according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, was six thousand and two hundred.

35 And the chief of the house of the fathers of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail; they shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle northward.

36 And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle and its bars and its pillars and its sockets and all the vessels thereof and all that pertains to it

37 And the pillars of the court round about and their sockets and their pins and their cords.

38 But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary in addition to the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

39 All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses numbered at the commandment of the LORD, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.

40 And the LORD said to Moses, Number all the first-born of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.

41 And you shall present the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.

42 And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the first-born among the children of Israel,

43 And all the first-born males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, and their number was twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.

44 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

45 Present the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine; I am the LORD.

46 And for the redemption of the two hundred and seventy-three of the first-born of the children of Israel, that are above the number of the Levites,

47 You shall take five shekels apiece by the poll, by the shekel of the sanctuary shall you take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs).

48 And you shall give the money wherewith the excess number of them is to be redeemed to Aaron and to his sons.

49 So Moses took the redemption money from those who were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites;

50 From the first-born of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary:

51 And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.

1 耶和華在西奈山曉諭摩西的日子，亞倫和摩西的後代如下：	1 THESE are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the LORD spoke with Moses on mount Sinai.
2 亞倫的兒子，長子名叫拿答，還有亞比戶、以利亞撒、以她瑪。	2 And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab, his first-born, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 拿答、亞比戶在西奈的曠野向耶和華獻異火［strange fire］的時候就死在耶和華面前了。他們也沒有兒女［children］。以利亞撒、以她瑪在他們的父親亞倫眼［sight］前供祭司的職分。	4 But Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD when they offered strange fire before the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office during the lifetime of Aaron their father.
5 耶和華曉諭摩西說：	5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
6 「你使利未支派近前來，站在祭司亞倫面前好服事他，	6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him.
7 他們要［they shall］替他、替全［whole］會眾在會幕前守所囑咐［charge］的，辦理帳幕的事。	7 And they shall keep his charge and the charge of the whole congregation in the presence of the LORD before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.
8 他們［they］又要看守會幕的器具，並守所囑咐［charge］以色列人的，辦理帳幕的事。	8 And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.
9 你要將利未人給亞倫和他的兒子，因為他們是從以色列人中選出來給他的。	9 And you shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons; they are wholly given to him as a gift out of the children of Israel.
10 你要囑咐亞倫和他的兒子謹守自己祭司的職任。近前來的外人必被治死。」	10 And you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office; and the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.
11 耶和華曉諭摩西說：	11 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
12 「看哪［behold］，我從以色列人中揀選了利未人，代替以色列人一切頭生的；利未人要歸我。	12 Behold I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the first-born that open the womb among the children of Israel; therefore the Levites shall be mine;
13 因為凡頭生的是我的；我在埃及地擊殺一切頭生的那日就把以色列中一切頭生的，連人帶牲畜都分別為聖歸我；他們定要屬我。我是耶和華。」	13 Because all the first-born are mine; for on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to me all the first-born in Israel, both man and beast; they shall be mine; I am the LORD.
14 耶和華在西奈的曠野曉諭摩西說：	14 And the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,
15 「你要照利未人的父家［house of their fathers］、家室數點他們。凡一個月以外男子都要數點。」	15 Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families; every male from a month old and upward, you shall number them.
16 於是摩西照耶和華所吩咐的數點他們。	16 So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.
17 利未眾子的名字是革順、哥轄、米拉利。	17 These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon and Kohath and Merari.
18 革順的兒子，按著家室，是立尼、示每。	18 And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.

30 烏薛的兒子以利撒反作哥轄宗族家室的首領。	30 And the chief of the house of the fathers of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizphan the son of Uzziel.
31 他們所要看守的是約櫃、桌子、燭臺［candlestick］、兩座壇與聖所內使用的器皿，並簾子和一切使用之物。	31 And their charge shall be the ark and the table and the candlestick and the altars and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister and the curtain of the door and all the service thereof.

35 亞比亥的兒子蘇列作米拉利二宗族的首領。他們要在帳幕的北邊安營。	35 And the chief of the house of the fathers of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail; they shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle northward.
36 米拉利子孫的職分是看守帳幕的板、閂、柱子、帶卯的座，和帳幕一切所使用的器具，	36 And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle and its bars and its pillars and its sockets and all the vessels thereof and all that pertains to it

39 凡被數的利未人，就是摩西、亞倫照耶和華吩咐所數的，遍及［throughout］家室，從一個月以外的男子，共有二萬二千名。	39 All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses numbered at the commandment of the LORD, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.
40 耶和華對摩西說：「你要從以色列人中數點一個月以外、凡頭生的男子，把他們的名字記下。	40 And the LORD said to Moses, Number all the first-born of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.
41 我是耶和華。你要揀選利未人歸我，代替以色列人所有頭生的，也取利未人的牲畜代替以色列所有頭生的牲畜。」	41 And you shall present the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.
42 摩西就照耶和華所吩咐的把以色列人頭生的都數點了。	42 And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the first-born among the children of Israel,
43 按人名的數目，從一個月以外、凡頭生的男子，共有二萬二千二百七十三名。	43 And all the first-born males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, and their number was twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.
44 耶和華曉諭摩西說：	44 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
45 「你揀選利未人代替以色列人所有頭生的，也取利未人的牲畜代替以色列人的牲畜。利未人要歸我；我是耶和華。	45 Present the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine; I am the LORD.
46 以色列人中頭生的男子比利未人多二百七十三個，必當將他們贖出來。	46 And for the redemption of the two hundred and seventy-three of the first-born of the children of Israel, that are above the number of the Levites,
47 你要按人丁，照聖所的平，每人取贖銀五舍客勒（一舍客勒是二十季拉），	47 You shall take five shekels apiece by the poll, by the shekel of the sanctuary shall you take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs).
48 把那多餘之人的贖錢［money］交給亞倫和他的兒子。」	48 And you shall give the money wherewith the excess number of them is to be redeemed to Aaron and to his sons.
49 於是摩西從那被利未人所贖以外的人取了贖錢［money］。	49 So Moses took the redemption money from those who were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites;
50 從以色列人頭生的所取之錢［money］，按聖所的平，有一千三百六十五舍客勒。	50 From the first-born of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary:
51 摩西照耶和華的話把這贖錢［money］給亞倫和他的兒子，正如耶和華所吩咐的。	51 And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
