Der Prophet Hosea

Kapitel 4

1 Höret, ihr3427 Kinder1121 Israel3478, des HErrn3068 Wort1697; denn der HErr3068 hat8085 Ursach, zu schelten7379, die im Lande776 wohnen. Denn es ist keine Treue571, keine Liebe2617, kein Wort Gottes430 im Lande776,

2 sondern Gotteslästern422, Lügen3584, Morden, Stehlen1589 und Ehebrechen5003 hat7523 überhandgenommen6555, und kommt eine Blutschuld1818 nach5060 der andern.

3 Darum wird das Land776 jämmerlich56 stehen und allen Einwohnern3427 übel gehen535; denn es werden622 auch die Tiere2416 auf dem Felde7704 und die Vögel5775 unter dem Himmel8064 und die Fische1709 im Meer3220 weggeraffet werden.

4 Doch man darf7378 nicht schelten, noch jemand376 strafen3198; denn mein Volk5971 ist wie die376, so die Priester3548 schelten.

5 Darum sollst du bei Tage3117 fallen3782, und der Prophet5030 des Nachts3915 neben dir fallen3782; also will ich deine Mutter517 hinrichten.

6 Mein Volk5971 ist dahin1820, darum daß es nicht7911 lernen will1847. Denn du verwirfst3988 Gottes430 Wort, darum will1847 ich dich auch verwerfen3988, daß du nicht7911 mein Priester3547 sein sollst. Du vergissest des Gesetzes8451 deines Gottes, darum will ich auch deiner Kinder1121 vergessen.

7 Je mehr7230 ihrer wird, je mehr sie wider mich sündigen2398; darum will ich ihre Ehre3519 zuschanden machen4171.

8 Sie5315 fressen398 die Sündopfer meines Volks5971 und sind begierig5375 nach ihren Sünden2403.

9 Darum soll es dem Volk5971 gleichwie dem Priester gehen; denn ich will7725 ihr1870 Tun4611 heimsuchen6485 und3548 ihnen vergelten, wie sie verdienen,

10 daß sie8104 werden7646 essen398 und nicht satt werden6555, Hurerei treiben, und soll ihnen nicht gelingen, darum daß sie den HErrn3068 verlassen5800 haben2181 und ihn nicht achten.

11 Hurerei2184, Wein3196 und Most8492 machen toll3820.

12 Mein Volk5971 fragt7592 sein Holz6086, und7307 sein Stab4731 soll ihm predigen; denn der Hurereigeist verführet sie5046, daß sie8582 wider ihren GOtt430 Hurerei2183 treiben2181.

13 Oben7218 auf den Bergen2022 opfern2076 sie und auf den Hügeln1389 räuchern6999 sie, unter den Eichen437, Linden3839 und Buchen424; denn die haben2181 feine2896 Schatten6738. Darum werden eure Töchter1323 auch zu Huren und eure Bräute3618 zu Ehebrecherinnen5003 werden.

14 Und ich995 will‘s auch nicht wehren, wenn eure Töchter1323 und Bräute3618 geschändet und zu Huren2181 werden6485, weil ihr einen andern Gottesdienst anrichtet6504 mit den Huren2181 und opfert2076 mit den Bübinnen6948. Denn das törichte Volk5971 will geschlagen sein3832.

15 Willst du, Israel3478, ja huren2181, daß sich doch nur Juda3063 nicht auch verschulde816! Gehet nicht hin gen Gilgal1537 und935 kommet nicht hinauf5927 gen Beth-Aven1007 und schwöret7650 nicht: So wahr der HErr3068 lebet!

16 Denn Israel3478 läuft5637 wie eine tolle Kuh6510, so wird sie auch der HErr3068 weiden7462 lassen wie ein Lamm3532 in der Irre4800.

17 Denn Ephraim669 hat sich2266 zu den Götzen6091 gestellet; so laß ihn3240 hinfahren!

18 Sie5493 haben2181 sich in die Schwelgerei5435 und Hurerei gegeben; ihre Herren4043 haben2181 Lust dazu157, daß sie Schande7036 anrichten3051.

19 Der Wind7307 mit seinen Flügeln3671 wird sie gebunden6887 treiben und müssen über ihrem Opfer2077 zuschanden werden954.

Chapter 4

1 HEAR the word of the LORD, O children of Israel; for the LORD has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no justice or mercy or knowledge of God in the land;

2 But cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they have increased and they mix blood with blood.

3 Therefore the land shall mourn, and all its inhabitants shall languish, even the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air; and the fish of the sea also shall perish.

4 Because none judges nor reproves another, for your people is engaged in controversy like a priest.

5 Therefore you shall stumble in the day, and the prophet of your people also shall stumble in the night, and yet your mother keeps silence.

6 My people are silent for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from the priesthood; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

7 According to the multitude of them, so they have sinned against me; they changed their honor into shame.

8 They devoured my people unmercifully, and they have engulfed themselves in their iniquity.

9 The priest has become common like the people; and I will punish them for their ways and reward them for their deeds.

10 For they shall eat and not be satisfied; they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase, because they have forsaken the LORD.

11 And they love whoredom, and wine and drunkenness take away their heart.

12 My people ask counsel of their own imagination, and their staff declares to them the directions; for the spirit of whoredom has caused them to go astray, so they have turned from their God.

13 They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinth, because their shadow is good; therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom and your brides shall commit adultery.

14 I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom nor your brides when they commit adultery; for they themselves are mingled with whores, and they sacrifice with shameless harlots; therefore a people that does not understand embraces the harlot.

15 As for you, O Israel, you shall not condemn Judah; nor shall you go to Gilgal, neither come up to Beth-aon; nor shall you say, The LORD lives.

16 For as a heifer that slides back from the yoke, so Israel balks; now the LORD will feed them like lambs in a wide pasture.

17 Ephraim is joined to idols; let him alone.

18 They all commit whoredom, and they love shame and idolatry.

19 Let the wind rend asunder their robes; let them be ashamed of their altars.
