2 Surely3588 I am more brutish1197 than any man,376 and have not the understanding998 of a man.120

2 Так! между людьми я невежда, и разумения человеческого нет у меня.
|
|
3 I neither3808 learned3925 wisdom,2451 nor have the knowledge1847 of the holy.6918

3 И мудрости я не учился; но ведение святых имею.

6 Не прибавляй к словам Его, чтобы Он не обличил тебя, чтобы тебе не оказаться лжецом.

7 Двух вещей прошу у Тебя; не откажи мне, прежде нежели умру.

8 Суету и слово лжи удали от меня; нищеты и богатства не давай мне; питай меня урочным хлебом моим,

9 Lest6435 I be full,7646 and deny3584 you, and say,559 Who4310 is the LORD?3068 or lest6435 I be poor,3423 and steal,1589 and take8610 the name8034 of my God430 in vain.

9 Чтобы, пресытившись, я не сделался отступником, и не сказал: `кто Иегова?` и чтоб, обеднев, я не стал красть, и имя Бога моего произносить в неправде.

10 Не доноси на раба господину его; иначе он будет проклинать тебя, и ты сам будешь в том виноват.

|
11 Нынешний род клянет отца своего, и матери своей не скажет доброго слова.

12 There is a generation1755 that are pure2889 in their own eyes,5869 and yet is not washed7364 from their filthiness.6675

12 Род сей для глаз своих кажется чистым, тогда как не омыт от скверны своей.

13 There is a generation,1755 O how4100 lofty7311 are their eyes!5869 and their eyelids6079 are lifted5375 up.

13 Род сей, о! как высоко смотрят глаза его! И как ресницы его подняты!

14 Род, у коего зубы - мечи, и клыки как ножи, для того, чтобы пожирать слабых на земле и беднейших между людьми.

15 У пиявицы две дочери: `дай, дай`. Три сии вещи ненасытимы; четыре не скажут: `довольно!`

16 The grave;7585 and the barren6115 womb;7356 the earth776 that is not filled7646 with water;4325 and the fire784 that said559 not, It is enough.1952

16 Преисподняя и бесплодная утроба, земля, которой вода не напитает, и огонь не скажет: `довольно`.

17 The eye5869 that mocks3932 at his father,1 and despises936 to obey3349 his mother,517 the ravens6158 of the valley5158 shall pick5365 it out, and the young1121 eagles5404 shall eat398 it.

19 The way1870 of an eagle5404 in the air;8064 the way1870 of a serpent5175 on a rock;6697 the way1870 of a ship591 in the middle3820 of the sea;3220 and the way1870 of a man1397 with a maid.5959

19 Путь орла в небесах, путь змея по скале, путь корабля в сердце моря, и путь мужа к деве.

20 Such3651 is the way1870 of an adulterous5003 woman;802 she eats,398 and wipes4229 her mouth,6310 and said,559 I have done6466 no3808 wickedness.205

20 Таков обычай жены прелюбодейной: поела, и обтерла себе рот, и говорит: `я ничего худого не делала`.

21 For three7969 things the earth776 is disquieted,7264 and for four702 which it cannot3808 3201 bear:5375

21 Под тремя вещами дрожит земля, или под четырьмя, которых она не может держать на себе:

|
22 For a servant5650 when3588 he reigns;4427 and a fool5036 when3588 he is filled7646 with meat;3899
|
22 Под рабом, когда он сделался царем, под глупым, когда слишком пресыщен хлебом,
|
|
23 For an odious8130 woman when3588 she is married;1166 and an handmaid8198 that is heir3423 to her mistress.1404

23 Под женою отверженною, когда она опять замужем, и под служанкою, когда она сделалась наследницею госпожи своей.

30 Лев, силач между зверьми, и не посторонится ни перед кем;

31 Подпоясанный по чреслам, или козел, и царь, когда народ с ним.
|
|
32 If518 you have done foolishly5034 in lifting5375 up yourself, or if518 you have thought2161 evil, lay your hand3027 on your mouth.6310

32 Если ты в запальчивости впал в такую глупость, что принял худую мысль; то руку на уста!

33 Surely3588 the churning4330 of milk2461 brings3318 forth3318 butter,2529 and the wringing4330 of the nose639 brings3318 forth3318 blood:1818 so the forcing4330 of wrath639 brings3318 forth3318 strife.7379

33 Потому что когда собьешь молоко, выйдет масло; и когда разобьешь нос, пойдет кровь. А когда возбудится гнев, заведется ссора.
