1 Und3548 nun, ihr Priester, dies Gebot4687 gilt euch!

2 If518 ye will not3808 hear,8085 and if518 ye will not3808 lay7760 it to5921 heart,3820 to give5414 glory3519 unto my name,8034 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 I will even send7971 853 a curse3994 upon you, and I will curse779 853 your blessings:1293 yea,1571 I have cursed779 them already, because3588 ye do not369 lay7760 it to5921 heart.3820

2 Wo ihr‘s nicht5414 höret noch zu8085 Herzen3820 nehmen werdet, daß ihr meinem Namen8034 die Ehre3519 gebet, spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, so werde7760 ich den Fluch3994 unter euch schicken7971 und7760 euren Segen1293 verfluchen779, ja verfluchen779 werde ich ihn, weil ihr‘s nicht wollet zu Herzen3820 nehmen.

3 Behold,2009 I will corrupt1605 853 your seed,2233 and spread2219 dung6569 upon5921 your faces,6440 even the dung6569 of your solemn feasts;2282 and one shall take you away5375 853 with413 it.

3 Siehe, ich will schelten1605 euch samt dem Samen2233 und den Kot6569 eurer Feiertage2282 euch ins Angesicht6440 werfen2219, und soll an5375 euch kleben bleiben.

4 And ye shall know3045 that3588 I have sent7971 this2063 853 commandment4687 unto413 you, that my covenant1285 might be1961 with854 Levi,3878 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

4 So werdet ihr3045 dann erfahren, daß ich solch Gebot4687 zu euch gesandt7971 habe, daß es mein Bund1285 sein sollte mit Levi3878, spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635.

5 My covenant1285 was1961 with854 him of life2416 and peace;7965 and I gave5414 them to him for the fear4172 wherewith he feared3372 me, and was afraid2865 before4480 6440 my name.8034

5 Denn mein Bund1285 war mit ihm zum Leben2416 und Frieden7965; und ich gab5414 ihm die Furcht4172, daß er mich6440 fürchtete3372 und meinen Namen8034 scheuete.

6 The law8451 of truth571 was1961 in his mouth,6310 and iniquity5766 was not3808 found4672 in his lips:8193 he walked1980 with854 me in peace7965 and equity,4334 and did turn many away7725 7227 from iniquity.4480 5771

6 Das Gesetz8451 der Wahrheit571 war in seinem Munde6310, und ward4672 kein Böses5766 in seinen Lippen8193 funden. Er wandelte1980 vor mir7725 friedsam7965 und aufrichtig4334 und bekehrete viele7227 von Sünden5771.

7 For3588 the priest's3548 lips8193 should keep8104 knowledge,1847 and they should seek1245 the law8451 at his mouth:4480 6310 for3588 he1931 is the messenger4397 of the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

7 Denn des Priesters3548 Lippen8193 sollen die Lehre1847 bewahren8104, daß man aus seinem Munde6310 das Gesetz8451 suche1245; denn er ist ein Engel4397 des HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635.

8 But ye859 are departed5493 out of4480 the way;1870 ye have caused many to stumble3782 7227 at the law;8451 ye have corrupted7843 the covenant1285 of Levi,3878 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635
|
8 Ihr aber seid von dem Wege1870 abgetreten5493 und7843 ärgert3782 viele7227 im Gesetz8451 und habt den Bund1285 Levis3878 gebrochen, spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635.

9 Therefore have I589 also1571 made5414 you contemptible959 and base8217 before all3605 the people,5971 according as6310 834 ye have not369 kept8104 853 my ways,1870 but have been partial5375 6440 in the law.8451

9 Darum hab ich6310 auch euch gemacht, daß8217 ihr verachtet959 und5414 unwert seid vor6440 dem ganzen Volk5971, weil ihr meine Wege1870 nicht haltet8104 und sehet Personen an5375 im Gesetze8451.

10 Have we not3808 all3605 one259 father?1 hath not3808 one259 God410 created1254 us? why4069 do we deal treacherously898 every man376 against his brother,251 by profaning2490 the covenant1285 of our fathers?1

10 Denn haben wir nicht alle einen Vater1? Hat898 uns nicht ein259 GOtt410 geschaffen1254? Warum verachten wir denn einer259 den andern251 und376 entheiligen2490 den Bund1285, mit unsern Vätern1 gemacht?

11 Judah3063 hath dealt treacherously,898 and an abomination8441 is committed6213 in Israel3478 and in Jerusalem;3389 for3588 Judah3063 hath profaned2490 the holiness6944 of the LORD3068 which834 he loved,157 and hath married1166 the daughter1323 of a strange5236 god.410

11 Denn Juda3063 ist6944 ein Verächter worden, und in Israel3478 und zu6213 Jerusalem3389 geschehen Greuel8441. Denn Juda3063 entheiliget die2490 Heiligkeit des HErrn3068, die er lieb157 hat898, und buhlet mit eines fremden5236 Gottes410 Tochter1323.

12 The LORD3068 will cut off3772 the man376 that834 doeth6213 this, the master5782 and the scholar,6030 out of the tabernacles4480 168 of Jacob,3290 and him that offereth5066 an offering4503 unto the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

12 Aber der HErr3068 wird den, so solches tut6213, ausrotten3772 aus der Hütte168 Jakobs3290, beide, Meister5782 und376 Schüler6030, samt dem, der dem HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635 Speisopfer4503 bringet5066.

13 And this2063 have ye done6213 again,8145 covering3680 853 the altar4196 of the LORD3068 with tears,1832 with weeping,1065 and with crying out,603 insomuch that he regardeth6437 413 not4480 369 the offering4503 any more,5750 or receiveth3947 it with good will7522 at your hand.4480 3027

13 Weiter tut6213 ihr auch das, daß vor6437 dem Altar4196 des HErrn3068 eitel Tränen1832 und Weinen1065 und Seufzen603 ist3680, daß ich nicht3947 mehr mag das Speisopfer4503 ansehen noch etwas Angenehmes7522 von euren Händen3027 empfahen.

14 Yet ye say,559 Wherefore?5921 4100 Because5921 3588 the LORD3068 hath been witness5749 between996 thee and the wife802 of thy youth,5271 against whom834 thou859 hast dealt treacherously:898 yet is she1931 thy companion,2278 and the wife802 of thy covenant.1285

14 Und so sprechet ihr: Warum4100 das? Darum, daß der HErr3068 zwischen dir und dem Weibe802 deiner Jugend5271 gezeuget hat898, die du verachtest, so sie559 doch deine Gesellin2278 und ein5749 Weib802 deines Bundes1285 ist.

15 And did not3808 he make6213 one?259 Yet had he the residue7605 of the spirit.7307 And wherefore4100 one?259 That he might seek1245 a godly430 seed.2233 Therefore take heed8104 to your spirit,7307 and let none408 deal treacherously898 against the wife802 of his youth.5271

15 Also tat6213 der259 Einige nicht7307 und7307 war doch eines259 großen7605 Geistes. Was tat aber der Einige? Er suchte1245 den Samen2233 von GOtt430 (verheißen). Darum so sehet euch8104 vor vor eurem Geiste, und verachte898 keiner das Weib802 seiner Jugend5271!

16 For3588 the LORD,3068 the God430 of Israel,3478 saith559 that he hateth8130 putting away:7971 for one covereth3680 violence2555 with5921 his garment,3830 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts:6635 therefore take heed8104 to your spirit,7307 that ye deal not treacherously.898 3808

16 Wer ihr aber gram ist8130, der lasse7971 sie559 fahren, spricht der HErr3068, der GOtt430 Israels3478, und7307 gebe ihr eine Decke des Frevels2555 von seinem Kleide, spricht der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635. Darum so sehet euch8104 vor vor eurem Geiste und verachtet898 sie559 nicht3680!

17 Ye have wearied3021 the LORD3068 with your words.1697 Yet ye say,559 Wherein4100 have we wearied3021 him? When ye say,559 Every one3605 that doeth6213 evil7451 is good2896 in the sight5869 of the LORD,3068 and he1931 delighteth2654 in them; or,176 Where346 is the God430 of judgment?4941

17 Ihr machet den HErrn3068 unwillig3021 durch eure Reden1697. So sprechet ihr: Womit machen6213 wir ihn5869 unwillig? Damit, daß559 ihr sprechet: Wer Böses7451 tut, der gefällt2896 dem HErrn3068, und559 er hat4941 Lust3021 zu demselbigen; oder: Wo ist2654 der GOtt430, der da strafe?
