Daniel

Chapter 7

1 In the first2298 year8140 of Belshazzar1113 king4430 of Babylon895 Daniel1841 had2370 a dream2493 and visions2376 of his head7217 upon5922 his bed:4903 then116 he wrote3790 the dream,2493 and told560 the sum7217 of the matters.4406

2 Daniel1841 spoke6032 and said,560 I saw1934 2370 in my vision2376 by5974 night,3916 and, behold,718 the four703 winds7308 of the heaven8065 strove1519 upon the great7229 sea.3221

3 And four703 great7260 beasts2423 came up5559 from4481 the sea,3221 diverse8133 one1668 from another.4481 1668

4 The first6933 was like a lion,744 and had eagle's1768 5403 wings:1611 I beheld1934 2370 till5705 1768 the wings1611 thereof were plucked,4804 and it was lifted up5191 from4481 the earth,772 and made stand6966 upon5922 the feet7271 as a man,606 and a man's606 heart3825 was given3052 to it.

5 And behold718 another317 beast,2423 a second,8578 like1821 to a bear,1678 and it raised up6966 itself on one2298 side,7859 and it had three8532 ribs5967 in the mouth6433 of it between997 the teeth8128 of it: and they said560 thus3652 unto it, Arise,6966 devour399 much7690 flesh.1321

6 After870 this1836 I beheld,1934 2370 and lo718 another,317 like a leopard,5245 which had upon5922 the back1355 of it four703 wings1611 of1768 a fowl;5776 the beast2423 had also four703 heads;7217 and dominion7985 was given3052 to it.

7 After870 this1836 I saw1934 2370 in the night3916 visions,2376 and behold718 a fourth7244 beast,2423 dreadful1763 and terrible,574 and strong8624 exceedingly;3493 and it had great7260 iron1768 6523 teeth:8128 it devoured399 and broke in pieces,1855 and stamped7512 the residue7606 with the feet7271 of it: and it1932 was diverse8133 from4481 all3606 the beasts2423 that1768 were before6925 it; and it had ten6236 horns.7162

8 I considered1934 7920 the horns,7162 and, behold,431 there came up5559 among997 them another317 little2192 horn,7162 before4481 6925 whom there were three8532 of4481 the first6933 horns7162 plucked up by the roots:6132 and, behold,431 in this1668 horn7162 were eyes5870 like the eyes5870 of man,606 and a mouth6433 speaking4449 great things.7260

9 I beheld1934 2370 till5705 1768 the thrones3764 were cast down,7412 and the Ancient6268 of days3118 did sit,3488 whose garment3831 was white2358 as snow,8517 and the hair8177 of his head7217 like the pure5343 wool:6015 his throne3764 was like the fiery1768 5135 flame,7631 and his wheels1535 as burning1815 fire.5135

10 A fiery1768 5135 stream5103 issued5047 and came forth5312 from4481 before6925 him: thousand506 thousands506 ministered8120 unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand7240 7240 stood6966 before6925 him: the judgment1780 was set,3488 and the books5609 were opened.6606

11 I beheld1934 2370 then116 because of4481 the voice7032 of the great7260 words4406 which1768 the horn7162 spoke:4449 I beheld1934 2370 even till5705 1768 the beast2423 was slain,6992 and his body1655 destroyed,7 and given3052 to the burning3346 flame.785

12 As concerning the rest7606 of the beasts,2423 they had their dominion7985 taken away:5709 yet their lives2417 were prolonged754 3052 for5705 a season2166 and time.5732

13 I saw1934 2370 in the night3916 visions,2376 and, behold,718 one like the Son1247 of man606 came1934 858 with5974 the clouds6050 of heaven,8065 and came4291 to5705 the Ancient6268 of days,3118 and they brought him near7127 before6925 him.

14 And there was given3052 him dominion,7985 and glory,3367 and a kingdom,4437 that all3606 people,5972 nations,524 and languages,3961 should serve6399 him: his dominion7985 is an everlasting5957 dominion,7985 which1768 shall not3809 pass away,5709 and his kingdom4437 that which1768 shall not3809 be destroyed.2255

15 I576 Daniel1841 was grieved3735 in my spirit7308 in the midst1459 of my body,5085 and the visions2376 of my head7217 troubled927 me.

16 I came near7127 unto5922 one2298 of4481 them that stood by,6966 and asked1156 4481 him the truth3330 of5922 all3606 this.1836 So he told560 me, and made me know3046 the interpretation6591 of the things.4406

17 These459 great7260 beasts,2423 which1768 are four,703 are four703 kings,4430 which shall arise6966 out of4481 the earth.772

18 But the saints6922 of the most High5946 shall take6902 the kingdom,4437 and possess2631 the kingdom4437 forever,5705 5957 even forever5705 5957 and ever.5957

19 Then116 I would6634 know3046 the truth3321 of5922 the fourth7244 beast,2423 which1768 was1934 diverse8133 from4481 all3606 the others, exceeding3493 dreadful,1763 whose teeth8128 were of1768 iron,6523 and his nails2953 of1768 brass;5174 which devoured,399 broke in pieces,1855 and stamped7512 the residue7606 with his feet;7271

20 And of5922 the ten6236 horns7162 that1768 were in his head,7217 and of the other317 which1768 came up,5559 and before4481 6925 whom three8532 fell;5308 even of that1797 horn7162 that had eyes,5870 and a mouth6433 that spoke4449 very great things,7260 whose look2376 was more stout7229 than4481 his fellows.2273

21 I beheld,1934 2370 and the same1797 horn7162 made5648 war7129 with5974 the saints,6922 and prevailed3202 against them;

22 Until5705 1768 the Ancient6268 of days3118 came,858 and judgment1780 was given3052 to the saints6922 of the most High;5946 and the time2166 came4291 that the saints6922 possessed2631 the kingdom.4437

23 Thus3652 he said,560 The fourth7244 beast2423 shall be1934 the fourth7244 kingdom4437 upon earth,772 which1768 shall be diverse8133 from4481 all3606 kingdoms,4437 and shall devour399 the whole3606 earth,772 and shall tread it down,1759 and break it in pieces.1855

24 And the ten6236 horns7162 out of4481 this kingdom4437 are ten6236 kings4430 that shall arise:6966 and another321 shall rise6966 after311 them; and he1932 shall be diverse8133 from4481 the first,6933 and he shall subdue8214 three8532 kings.4430

25 And he shall speak4449 great words4406 against6655 the most High,5943 and shall wear out1080 the saints6922 of the most High,5946 and think5452 to change8133 times2166 and laws:1882 and they shall be given3052 into his hand3028 until5705 a time5732 and times5732 and the dividing6387 of time.5732

26 But the judgment1780 shall sit,3488 and they shall take away5709 his dominion,7985 to consume8046 and to destroy7 it unto5705 the end.5491

27 And the kingdom4437 and dominion,7985 and the greatness7238 of1768 the kingdom4437 under8460 the whole3606 heaven,8065 shall be given3052 to the people5972 of the saints6922 of the most High,5946 whose kingdom4437 is an everlasting5957 kingdom,4437 and all3606 dominions7985 shall serve6399 and obey8086 him.

28 Hitherto5705 3542 is the end5491 of1768 the matter.4406 As for me576 Daniel,1841 my cogitations7476 much7690 troubled927 me, and my countenance2122 changed8133 in5922 me: but I kept5202 the matter4406 in my heart.3821

Daniel

Chapter 7

1 IN the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel saw a dream and the visions of his head as he lay upon his bed; then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matter.

2 Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven stirred up the great sea.

3 And four great beasts came up out of the sea, differing one from another.

4 The first was like a lion and had eagle's wings; I beheld till its wings were plucked off, and it rose up from the ground and stood upon its feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

5 And the second beast was like a bear, and it stood up on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth; and they said thus to it: Arise, devour much flesh.

6 After these things I beheld, and lo, another beast, like a leopard, which had upon its sides four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads, and dominion was given to it.

7 After these things I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and mighty and exceedingly strong, and it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.

8 And I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another little horn before which three of the first horns were plucked up from before it; and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

9 Then I beheld, and 1o, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of days did sit; his garment was white as snow and the hair of his head like the pure wool; his throne was like a fiery flame, and its wheels were like burning fire.

10 A stream of fire issued and came forth from before him; a thousand thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the judge was seated and the en_lbp_books were opened.

11 I beheld, and 1o, the beast was slain and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.

12 As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.

13 I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of man came upon the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him before him.

14 And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom is one that shall not be destroyed.

15 As for me, Daniel, my spirit was grieved in my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.

16 I came near to one of those who ministered and asked of him the truth concerning all these things. And he told me the truth and made me know the interpretation of these things.

17 Then he said to me, These four great beasts which you saw are four kings which shall arise out of the earth.

18 But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess it for ever and ever.

19 Then I wanted to know the truth concerning the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, whose teeth were of iron and whose nails of brass, which devoured and broke in pieces and stamped the residue with its feet;

20 And concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up between them, and before which three fell, the horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke very great things, whose appearance was greater than its fellows.

21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them,

22 Until the Ancient of days came and gave judgment to the saints of the Most High; and the time came when the saints possessed the kingdom.

23 Thus he said to me: The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon the earth, which shall be greater than all the kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down and break it in pieces.

24 And as for the ten horns out of this kingdom, they are ten kings that shall arise and another king shall arise after them; and he shall be greater than the first, and he shall defeat three kings.

25 And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall plot against the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.

26 But when the judge is seated in judgment, they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end of his kingdom.

27 And the dominions and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven shall be given to the holy people of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

28 Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me greatly and my countenance changed in me; but I kept the matter in my heart.

1 IN the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel saw a dream and the visions of his head as he lay upon his bed; then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matter.

2 Daniel1841 spoke6032 and said,560 I saw1934 2370 in my vision2376 by5974 night,3916 and, behold,718 the four703 winds7308 of the heaven8065 strove1519 upon the great7229 sea.3221

2 Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven stirred up the great sea.

3 And four703 great7260 beasts2423 came up5559 from4481 the sea,3221 diverse8133 one1668 from another.4481 1668

3 And four great beasts came up out of the sea, differing one from another.

4 The first was like a lion and had eagle's wings; I beheld till its wings were plucked off, and it rose up from the ground and stood upon its feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

5 And the second beast was like a bear, and it stood up on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth; and they said thus to it: Arise, devour much flesh.

6 After these things I beheld, and lo, another beast, like a leopard, which had upon its sides four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads, and dominion was given to it.

7 After these things I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and mighty and exceedingly strong, and it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.

8 And I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another little horn before which three of the first horns were plucked up from before it; and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

9 Then I beheld, and 1o, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of days did sit; his garment was white as snow and the hair of his head like the pure wool; his throne was like a fiery flame, and its wheels were like burning fire.

10 A stream of fire issued and came forth from before him; a thousand thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the judge was seated and the en_lbp_books were opened.

11 I beheld, and 1o, the beast was slain and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.

12 As concerning the rest7606 of the beasts,2423 they had their dominion7985 taken away:5709 yet their lives2417 were prolonged754 3052 for5705 a season2166 and time.5732

12 As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.

13 I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of man came upon the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him before him.

14 And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom is one that shall not be destroyed.

15 I576 Daniel1841 was grieved3735 in my spirit7308 in the midst1459 of my body,5085 and the visions2376 of my head7217 troubled927 me.

15 As for me, Daniel, my spirit was grieved in my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.

16 I came near7127 unto5922 one2298 of4481 them that stood by,6966 and asked1156 4481 him the truth3330 of5922 all3606 this.1836 So he told560 me, and made me know3046 the interpretation6591 of the things.4406

16 I came near to one of those who ministered and asked of him the truth concerning all these things. And he told me the truth and made me know the interpretation of these things.

17 These459 great7260 beasts,2423 which1768 are four,703 are four703 kings,4430 which shall arise6966 out of4481 the earth.772

17 Then he said to me, These four great beasts which you saw are four kings which shall arise out of the earth.

18 But the saints6922 of the most High5946 shall take6902 the kingdom,4437 and possess2631 the kingdom4437 forever,5705 5957 even forever5705 5957 and ever.5957

18 But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess it for ever and ever.

19 Then I wanted to know the truth concerning the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, whose teeth were of iron and whose nails of brass, which devoured and broke in pieces and stamped the residue with its feet;

20 And concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up between them, and before which three fell, the horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke very great things, whose appearance was greater than its fellows.

21 I beheld,1934 2370 and the same1797 horn7162 made5648 war7129 with5974 the saints,6922 and prevailed3202 against them;

21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them,

22 Until5705 1768 the Ancient6268 of days3118 came,858 and judgment1780 was given3052 to the saints6922 of the most High;5946 and the time2166 came4291 that the saints6922 possessed2631 the kingdom.4437

22 Until the Ancient of days came and gave judgment to the saints of the Most High; and the time came when the saints possessed the kingdom.

23 Thus he said to me: The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon the earth, which shall be greater than all the kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down and break it in pieces.

24 And as for the ten horns out of this kingdom, they are ten kings that shall arise and another king shall arise after them; and he shall be greater than the first, and he shall defeat three kings.
