1 And the lot1486 of the children1121 of Joseph3130 fell3318 from Jordan4480 3383 by Jericho,3405 unto the water4325 of Jericho3405 on the east,4217 to the wilderness4057 that goeth up5927 from Jericho4480 3405 throughout mount2022 Bethel,1008

2 And goeth out3318 from Bethel4480 1008 to Luz,3870 and passeth along5674 unto413 the borders1366 of Archi757 to Ataroth,5852

3 And goeth down3381 westward3220 to413 the coast1366 of Japhleti,3311 unto5704 the coast1366 of Beth-horon1032 the nether,8481 and to5704 Gezer:1507 and the goings out8444 thereof are1961 at the sea.3220

4 So the children1121 of Joseph,3130 Manasseh4519 and Ephraim,669 took their inheritance.5157

5 And the border1366 of the children1121 of Ephraim669 according to their families4940 was1961 thus: even the border1366 of their inheritance5159 on the east4217 side was1961 Ataroth-addar,5853 unto5704 Beth-horon1032 the upper;5945

6 And the border1366 went out3318 toward the sea3220 to Michmethah4366 on the north side;4480 6828 and the border1366 went about5437 eastward4217 unto Taanath-shiloh,8387 and passed by5674 it on the east4480 4217 to Janohah;3239

7 And it went down3381 from Janohah4480 3239 to Ataroth,5852 and to Naarath,5292 and came6293 to Jericho,3405 and went out3318 at Jordan.3383

8 The border1366 went out1980 from Tappuah4480 8599 westward3220 unto the river5158 Kanah;7071 and the goings out8444 thereof were1961 at the sea.3220 This2063 is the inheritance5159 of the tribe4294 of the children1121 of Ephraim669 by their families.4940

9 And the separate3995 cities5892 for the children1121 of Ephraim669 were among8432 the inheritance5159 of the children1121 of Manasseh,4519 all3605 the cities5892 with their villages.2691

10 And they drove not out3423 3808 853 the Canaanites3669 that dwelt3427 in Gezer:1507 but the Canaanites3669 dwell3427 among7130 the Ephraimites669 unto5704 this2088 day,3117 and serve5647 under tribute.4522

1 AND the lot of the descendants of Joseph fell from the Jordan by Jericho to the waters of Jericho on the east, into the wilderness that goes up from Jericho to mount Beth-el,

2 And goes out from Beth-el to Luz, and then passes along to the border of Ebra and Ataroth,

3 And goes down westward to the border of Palta, as far as the border of Beth-hauran, the lower, then to Gadar; and its limits extended to the sea.

4 So the descendants of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance.

5 And the border of the descendants of Ephraim according to their families was thus: the boundary of their inheritance was Ataroth and Addar, as far as Beth-hauran, the upper;

6 Then the border went westward to the northern portion; after which the border turned eastward below Shiloh, and passed by it on the east of Jaloh;

7 And it went down from Jaloh to Ataroth and Jagrath and Pagar, and came to Jericho, and went out of Tappuah to the Jordan;

8 And the border went out westward to the river Kabah; and the limits thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the descendants of Ephraim by their families.

9 And the cities which were set apart for the descendants of Ephraim were within the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

10 And they did not destroy the Canaanites that dwelt in Gadar; so the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day, but they were brought into subjection, and they pay tribute.
