3 But God430 came935 to413 Abimelech40 in a dream2472 by night,3915 and said559 to him, Behold,2009 thou art but a dead man,4191 for5921 the woman802 which834 thou hast taken;3947 for she1931is a man's1167 wife.1166
4 But Abimelech40 had not3808 come near7126413 her: and he said,559 Lord,136 wilt thou slay2026 also1571 a righteous6662 nation?1471
5 Said559 he1931 not3808 unto me, She1931is my sister?269 and she,1931 even1571 she herself1931 said,559 He1931is my brother:251 in the integrity8537 of my heart3824 and innocency5356 of my hands3709 have I done6213 this.2063
6 And God430 said559 unto413 him in a dream,2472 Yea,1571 I595 know3045 that3588 thou didst6213 this2063 in the integrity8537 of thy heart;3824 for I595 also1571 withheld2820 thee from sinning44802398 against me: therefore59213651 suffered5414 I thee not3808 to touch5060413 her.
7 Now6258 therefore restore7725 the man376his wife;802 for3588 he1931is a prophet,5030 and he shall pray6419 for1157 thee, and thou shalt live:2421 and if518 thou restore7725her not,369 know3045 thou that3588 thou shalt surely die,41914191 thou,859 and all3605 that834are thine.
8 Therefore Abimelech40 rose early7925 in the morning,1242 and called7121 all3605 his servants,5650 and told1696853 all3605 these428 things1697 in their ears:241 and the men376 were sore afraid.33723966
9 Then Abimelech40 called7121 Abraham,85 and said559 unto him, What4100 hast thou done6213 unto us? and what4100 have I offended2398 thee, that3588 thou hast brought935 on5921 me and on5921 my kingdom4467 a great1419 sin?2401 thou hast done6213 deeds4639 unto5973 me that834 ought not3808 to be done.6213
11 And Abraham85 said,559 Because3588 I thought,559 Surely7535 the fear3374 of God430is not369 in this2088 place;4725 and they will slay2026 me for5921 my wife's802 sake.1697
12 And yet1571 indeed546she is my sister;269 she1931is the daughter1323 of my father,1 but389 not3808 the daughter1323 of my mother;517 and she became1961 my wife.802
13 And it came to pass,1961 when834 God430 caused me to wander8582 from my father's house,448010041 that I said559 unto her, This2088is thy kindness2617 which834 thou shalt show6213 unto5973 me; at413 every3605 place4725 whither8348033 we shall come,935 say559 of me, He1931is my brother.251
14 And Abimelech40 took3947 sheep,6629 and oxen,1241 and menservants,5650 and womenservants,8198 and gave5414them unto Abraham,85 and restored7725 him853 Sarah8283 his wife.802
15 And Abimelech40 said,559 Behold,2009 my land776is before6440 thee: dwell3427 where it pleaseth28965869 thee.
16 And unto Sarah8283 he said,559 Behold,2009 I have given5414 thy brother251 a thousand505pieces of silver:3701 behold,2009 he1931is to thee a covering3682 of the eyes,5869 unto all3605 that834are with854 thee, and with854 all3605other: thus she was reproved.3198
17 So Abraham85 prayed6419 unto413 God:430 and God430 healed7495853 Abimelech,40 and his wife,802 and his maidservants;519 and they bore3205children.
18 For3588 the LORD3068 had fast closed up611361131157 all3605 the wombs7358 of the house1004 of Abimelech,40 because59211697 of Sarah8283 Abraham's85 wife.802

8 На другой день рано утром Ави-Малик собрал всех своих приближённых и рассказал им, что случилось; и они сильно испугались.
9 Потом Ави-Малик вызвал Ибрахима и сказал: – Что ты с нами сделал? Какое зло я тебе причинил, что ты навёл такую тяжкую вину на меня и моё царство? Ты поступил со мной так, как нельзя поступать.
10 И Ави-Малик спросил Ибрахима: – Что было у тебя на уме, когда ты сделал такое?
11 Ибрахим ответил: – Я подумал: «В этом месте, конечно, не боятся Всевышнего, и они убьют меня за мою жену».
12 Кроме того, она действительно моя сестра – дочь моего отца, хотя и не от моей матери; и она стала моей женой.
13 Когда Всевышний отправил меня странствовать из дома моего отца, я сказал ей: «Окажи мне такую услугу: куда бы мы ни пришли, говори обо мне, что я твой брат».
14 Тогда Ави-Малик привёл мелкий и крупный скот, рабов и рабынь и дал их Ибрахиму; и вернул ему его жену Сарру.
15 Ави-Малик сказал: – Моя земля перед тобой: живи, где хочешь.
