Chapter 26

1 And there was1961 a famine7458 in the land,776 beside4480 905 the first7223 famine7458 that834 was1961 in the days3117 of Abraham.85 And Isaac3327 went1980 unto413 Abimelech40 king4428 of the Philistines6430 unto Gerar.1642

2 And the LORD3068 appeared7200 unto413 him, and said,559 Go not down3381 408 into Egypt;4714 dwell7931 in the land776 which834 I shall tell559 thee of: 413

3 Sojourn1481 in this2063 land,776 and I will be1961 with5973 thee, and will bless1288 thee; for3588 unto thee, and unto thy seed,2233 I will give5414 853 all3605 these411 countries,776 and I will perform6965 853 the oath7621 which834 I swore7650 unto Abraham85 thy father;1

4 And I will make853 thy seed2233 to multiply7235 as the stars3556 of heaven,8064 and will give5414 unto thy seed2233 853 all3605 these411 countries;776 and in thy seed2233 shall all3605 the nations1471 of the earth776 be blessed;1288

5 Because6118 that834 Abraham85 obeyed8085 my voice,6963 and kept8104 my charge,4931 my commandments,4687 my statutes,2708 and my laws.8451

6 And Isaac3327 dwelt3427 in Gerar: 1642

7 And the men376 of the place4725 asked7592 him of his wife;802 and he said,559 She1931 is my sister:269 for3588 he feared3372 to say,559 She is my wife;802 lest,6435 said he, the men376 of the place4725 should kill2026 me for5921 Rebekah;7259 because3588 she1931 was fair2896 to look upon.4758

8 And it came to pass,1961 when3588 he had been there8033 a long748 time,3117 that Abimelech40 king4428 of the Philistines6430 looked out8259 at1157 a window,2474 and saw,7200 and, behold,2009 Isaac3327 was sporting6711 with853 Rebekah7259 his wife.802

9 And Abimelech40 called7121 Isaac,3327 and said,559 Behold,2009 of a surety389 she1931 is thy wife:802 and how349 saidst559 thou, She1931 is my sister?269 And Isaac3327 said559 unto413 him, Because3588 I said,559 Lest6435 I die4191 for5921 her.

10 And Abimelech40 said,559 What4100 is this2063 thou hast done6213 unto us? one259 of the people5971 might lightly4592 have lain7901 with854 thy wife,802 and thou shouldest have brought935 guiltiness817 upon5921 us.

11 And Abimelech40 charged6680 853 all3605 his people,5971 saying,559 He that toucheth5060 this2088 man376 or his wife802 shall surely be put to death.4191 4191

12 Then Isaac3327 sowed2232 in that1931 land,776 and received4672 in the same1931 year8141 a hundredfold:3967 8180 and the LORD3068 blessed1288 him.

13 And the man376 waxed great,1431 and went1980 forward,1980 and grew1432 until5704 3588 he became very great:1431 3966

14 For he had1961 possession4735 of flocks,6629 and possession4735 of herds,1241 and great store7227 of servants:5657 and the Philistines6430 envied7065 him.

15 For all3605 the wells875 which834 his father's1 servants5650 had digged2658 in the days3117 of Abraham85 his father,1 the Philistines6430 had stopped5640 them, and filled4390 them with earth.6083

16 And Abimelech40 said559 unto413 Isaac,3327 Go1980 from4480 5973 us; for3588 thou art much mightier6105 3966 than4480 we.

17 And Isaac3327 departed1980 thence,4480 8033 and pitched his tent2583 in the valley5158 of Gerar,1642 and dwelt3427 there.8033

18 And Isaac3327 digged2658 again7725 853 the wells875 of water,4325 which834 they had digged2658 in the days3117 of Abraham85 his father;1 for the Philistines6430 had stopped5640 them after310 the death4194 of Abraham:85 and he called7121 their names8034 after the names8034 by which834 his father1 had called7121 them.

19 And Isaac's3327 servants5650 digged2658 in the valley,5158 and found4672 there8033 a well875 of springing2416 water.4325

20 And the herdsmen7462 of Gerar1642 did strive7378 with5973 Isaac's3327 herdsmen,7462 saying,559 The water4325 is ours: and he called7121 the name8034 of the well875 Esek;6230 because3588 they strove6229 with5973 him.

21 And they digged2658 another312 well,875 and strove7378 for5921 that also:1571 and he called7121 the name8034 of it Sitnah.7856

22 And he removed6275 from thence,4480 8033 and digged2658 another312 well;875 and for5921 that they strove7378 not:3808 and he called7121 the name8034 of it Rehoboth;7344 and he said,559 For3588 now6258 the LORD3068 hath made room7337 for us, and we shall be fruitful6509 in the land.776

23 And he went up5927 from thence4480 8033 to Beer-sheba.884

24 And the LORD3068 appeared7200 unto413 him the same1931 night,3915 and said,559 I595 am the God430 of Abraham85 thy father:1 fear3372 not,408 for3588 I595 am with854 thee, and will bless1288 thee, and multiply7235 853 thy seed2233 for5668 my servant5650 Abraham's85 sake.

25 And he built1129 an altar4196 there,8033 and called7121 upon the name8034 of the LORD,3068 and pitched5186 his tent168 there:8033 and there8033 Isaac's3327 servants5650 digged3738 a well.875

26 Then Abimelech40 went1980 to413 him from Gerar,4480 1642 and Ahuzzath276 one of his friends,4828 and Phichol6369 the chief captain8269 of his army.6635

27 And Isaac3327 said559 unto413 them, Wherefore4069 come935 ye to413 me, seeing ye859 hate8130 me, and have sent me away7971 from4480 you?

28 And they said,559 We saw certainly7200 7200 that3588 the LORD3068 was1961 with5973 thee: and we said,559 Let there be1961 now4994 an oath423 between996 us, even between996 us and thee, and let us make3772 a covenant1285 with5973 thee;

29 That518 thou wilt do6213 us no hurt,7451 as834 we have not3808 touched5060 thee, and as834 we have done6213 unto5973 thee nothing but7535 good,2896 and have sent thee away7971 in peace:7965 thou859 art now6258 the blessed1288 of the LORD.3068

30 And he made6213 them a feast,4960 and they did eat398 and drink.8354

31 And they rose up quickly7925 in the morning,1242 and swore7650 one376 to another:251 and Isaac3327 sent them away,7971 and they departed1980 from4480 854 him in peace.7965

32 And it came to pass1961 the same1931 day,3117 that Isaac's3327 servants5650 came,935 and told5046 him concerning5921 182 the well875 which834 they had digged,2658 and said559 unto him, We have found4672 water.4325

33 And he called7121 it Shebah:7656 therefore5921 3651 the name8034 of the city5892 is Beer-sheba884 unto5704 this2088 day.3117

34 And Esau6215 was1961 forty705 years8141 old1121 when he took3947 to wife802 853 Judith3067 the daughter1323 of Beeri882 the Hittite,2850 and Bashemath1315 the daughter1323 of Elon356 the Hittite: 2850

3 Странствуй по сей земле; и Я буду с тобою, и благословлю тебя, ибо тебе и потомству твоему дам все земли сии. Я подтверждаю клятву, которою Я клялся Аврааму, отцу твоему.

4 Умножу потомство твое, как звезды небесные; и дам потомству твоему все земли сии; и благословятся в семени твоем все народы земные,

5 За то, что Авраам, послушался гласа Моего, и соблюл, что заповедал Я соблюдать: повеления Мои, уставы Мои и законы Мои,

6 Итак Исаак жил в Гераре.

7 И когда жители места того спросили о жене его, то он сказал: это сестра моя, потому что боялся сказать: жена моя; чтобы не убили меня, думал он, жители места сего за Ревекку, потому что она прекрасна видом.

8 Но когда уже много времени он там жил, то случилось, что Авимелех, царь Филистимский, посмотрев в окно, увидел Исаака, играющего с Ревеккою, женою своею.

9 Тогда Авимелех призвал Исаака, и сказал: вот, это жена твоя; как же ты сказал: сестра моя? Исаак ответствовал: потому что я сказал сам в себе: чтобы не умертвили меня за нее.

10 Но Авимелех сказал: что это ты сделал с нами? едва один из народа не совокупился с женою твоею, и ты ввел бы нас в грех.

11 И дал Авимелех повеление всему народу, сказав: если кто прикоснется к сему человеку и к жене его, смертию умрет.

12 И сеял Исаак в земле той, и получил в тот год ячменя во сто крат; и Иегова благословил его.

13 И разбогател сей человек; и богател больше и больше, так что наконец стал весьма богат.

14 У него были стада мелкого и стада крупного скота, и множество рабов, так что Филистимляне стали завидовать ему.

15 И все колодези, которые выкопали рабы отца его при жизни отца его, Авраама, Филистимляне завалили и засыпали землею.

16 И Авимелех сказал Исааку: удались от нас; ибо ты сделался гораздо сильнее нас.

17 Итак Исаак удалился оттуда, и расположился шатрами в долине Герарской, и жил там.

18 И вновь выкопал Исаак колодези вод, которые выкопаны были во дни Авраама, отца его, и которые завалили Филистимляне по смерти Авраама; и назвал их теми же именами, которыми назвал их отец его.

19 Однажды копали рабы Исааковы в долине, и нашли там колодезь воды живой.

20 И спорили пастухи Герарские с пастухами Исаака, говоря: наша вода; посему он нарек колодезю имя: Есек; потому что спорили с ним.

21 Выкопали другой колодезь; спорили также и о сем; и он нарек ему имя: Ситна (препятствие).

22 Двинувшись отсюда, он выкопал еще иной колодезь, о котором уже не спорили; посему он нарек ему имя: Реховоф (пространство); ибо, сказал он, теперь Иегова дал нам пространное место, чтобы мы возрасли на земле.

23 Оттуда перешел он в Вирсавию.

24 И в ту ночь явился ему Иегова, и сказал: Я Бог Авраама, отца твоего; не бойся; ибо Я с тобою; и благословлю тебя; и умножу потомство твое, ради Авраама, раба Моего.

25 Тогда он устроил там жертвенник, и призвал имя Иеговы. И поставил там шатер свой, и выкопали там рабы Исааковы колодезь.

26 Тут пришел к нему из Герара Авимелех, и Ахузаф, один из друзей его, и Фихол, военачальник его.

27 Исаак сказал им: для чего вы пришли ко мне, когда вы возненавидели меня, и выгнали меня от себя?

28 Они ответствовали: мы увидели ясно, что Иегова с тобою; и потому мы сказали: дадим мы и ты взаимную между собою клятву, и заключим с тобою союз.

29 Чтобы ты не делал нам зла, как и мы не коснулись до тебя, а делали тебе одно доброе, и отпустили тебя с миром; теперь ты благословен Иеговою.

30 Тогда он сделал им пиршество, и они ели и пили.

31 И встав поутру, клялись друг другу; и отпустил их Исаак, и они пошли от него с миром.

32 И как в тот день случилось, что рабы Исааковы, пришедши, донесли ему о колодезе, который копали они, и сказали ему: мы нашли воду:

33 То Исаак назвал его: Шива (клятва). Отсюда имя города оного Вирсавии до сего дня.

34 Когда же Исаву было сорок лет от рождения, тогда он взял себе в жены Иегудифу, дочь Беэра, Хеттеянина, и Васемафу, дочь Элона, Хеттеянина;

35 И они оскорбляли дух Исаака и Ревекки.

12 И сеял Исаак в земле той, и получил в тот год ячменя во сто крат; и Иегова благословил его.

13 And the man376 waxed great,1431 and went1980 forward,1980 and grew1432 until5704 3588 he became very great:1431 3966

13 И разбогател сей человек; и богател больше и больше, так что наконец стал весьма богат.

18 И вновь выкопал Исаак колодези вод, которые выкопаны были во дни Авраама, отца его, и которые завалили Филистимляне по смерти Авраама; и назвал их теми же именами, которыми назвал их отец его.

19 And Isaac's3327 servants5650 digged2658 in the valley,5158 and found4672 there8033 a well875 of springing2416 water.4325

19 Однажды копали рабы Исааковы в долине, и нашли там колодезь воды живой.

29 Чтобы ты не делал нам зла, как и мы не коснулись до тебя, а делали тебе одно доброе, и отпустили тебя с миром; теперь ты благословен Иеговою.
