1 Господи, с теми борись, кто мне противостоит. Войною пойди против тех, кто пошёл войною на меня.
2 Щит возьми и доспехи надень, восстань и на помощь приди!
3 Меч и копьё Твоё подними против моих врагов. Душе моей страждущей скажи: «Я спасу тебя!»
4 Да будет ищущим смерти моей бесчестие и позор, да попятятся в ужасе те, кто задумал убить меня.
5 Да станут соломой они, которую ветер несёт, и Ангел Господний преследует.
6 Да будет тёмен и скользок их путь, пусть Ангел Господний преследует их.
7 И хотя невиновен я, они без причины раскинули сети и вырыли яму, чтобы в ловушку заманить меня.
8 Да грянет на них нежданно погибель, да рухнут они в яму свою, да попадут они в сети вместо меня.
9 Тогда моя душа возрадуется в Боге, и буду счастлив я спасением Его.
10 Всем естеством своим воскликнул я: «Нет больше Бога, подобного Тебе! От нападений сильных защищаешь слабых Ты. Ты от грабителя спасаешь бедняка».
11 Свидетели неправедные мне вопросы задают о том, чего не знаю.
12 За сделанное им добро злом воздают, страдания причиняют.
13 Когда они болели, я ходил во власянице и за них постился. А когда их молитвы остались без ответа,
14 я скорбел о них, как будто они мне братья иль друзья. Я в одежде траурной ходил, словно матери оплакивая смерть.
15 Когда же спотыкался я, они открыто потешались, когда не ждал я, нападали и клеветали без причин.
16 Они смеялись нечестиво, зубами злобно скрежеща.
17 Владыка мой, как долго будешь Ты смотреть на это? Защити меня от злых людей, которые словно львы стремятся жизнь мою отнять!
18 Среди людей, в большом собрании, Тебя я буду восхвалять.
19 Не позволяй врагам моим смеяться злобно надо мной. Для ненависти у них причины нет. Несомненно, их постигнет наказание за все те коварные планы, что они плетут!
20 Недружелюбна речь их, они преступные замыслы лелеют против тех, кто на земле живёт без зла.
21 В глаза мне глядя, лживо утверждают: «Да, да, мы видели всё сами, какое ты преступление совершил».
22 Не будь далёк, Господь! Ты Сам всё видел, так не молчи!
