Nehemiah

Chapter 11

1 LET the elders of the people dwell in Jerusalem; and the rest of the people shall cast lots to bring one out of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city and the remaining nine-tenths to dwell in towns.

2 And the people blessed all the men who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.

3 Now these are the chiefs of the province who dwelt in Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah (they dwelt every one in his own possession in their towns in Israel). along with the priests, the Levites, and some of the people, and also the descendants of Solomon's servants who dwelt in Jerusalem,

4 And in addition some of the children of Judah and of the children of Benjamin. And of the children of Judah: Nethaniah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalael. Of the descendants of Perez:

5 Maasiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Neriah, the son of Azariah, the son of Jonadab, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shelah.

6 All the descendants of Perez who dwelt in Jerusalem were four hundred and sixty-eight valiant men.

7 And these are the descendants of Benjamin: Selah the son of Meshullam, the son of Joda, the son of Peraiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maasiah, the son of Athnael, the son of Isaiah.

8 And after him were nine hundred and twenty-eight others.

9 And Joel the son of Zechariah was their overseer; and Judah the son of Senuah was second over the city.

10 Of the priests: Berachiah the son of Jehoiadah,

11 Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, was the ruler over the house of the LORD.

12 And his brethren who did the work inside of the house were eight hundred and twenty-two; and Azariah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelahiah, the son of Amzar, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah,

13 And their brethren, chiefs of their fathers, two hundred and forty-two; and Amashai the son of Azarael, the son of Ahasai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,

14 And their brethren, mighty men of valour, one hundred and twenty-eight; and their overseer was Zabdiel the son of one of the great men.

15 Also the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Joshua, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Banni, the son of Shabbethai.

16 And Zozabar was in charge of outside work of the house of the LORD.

17 And of the chiefs of the Levites: Mattaniah, the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, the principal among the Jews to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukah the second among his brethren, and Aira the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jethron.

18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred and eighty-four.

19 Moreover the porters, Akkub and Altman, and their brethren who kept the gates, were one hundred and seventy-two.

20 And the rest of Israel, of the priests and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.

21 And their servants settled down every one in charge of his work and his plough.

22 The overseer of the Levites at Jerusalem was Abdai the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha, of the sons of Asaph, who ministered over the work of the house of the LORD.

23 For there was a commandment from the king concerning them and a decree concerning the singers daily.

24 And Pethahiah the son of Meshumael, of the descendants of Zerah, the son of Judah, was in charge of whatever the king had commanded concerning every man and over the numbering of the people

25 And over their overseers and over their villages and over their fields. Now some of the children of Judah dwelt in Koriath-arba and in its villages, and in Ribon and in its villages, and in Kebazeel and in its villages.

26 And in Hoshah and in Moladah and in Beth-phelet

27 And in Hazar-shua and in Beer-sheba and in the villages thereof

28 And in Zinklag and in Mekiah and in the villages thereof

29 And in En-rimmon and in Zadah and in Jarmuth,

30 Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, in Lachish and its villages, in Azekah and in its villages. And they dwelt from Beer-sheba as far as the valley of Hinnom.

31 The children of Benjamin also dwelt from Ramtha of Michmash, Ai, Beth-el, and in their villages,

32 And at Anothoth, Aojab, Ananiah,

33 Hazor, Ramtha, Gittaim,

34 Hadar, Zebaon, Neballat,

35 Lod and Ono, Niha and Harsha.

36 And of the Levites were divisions in Judah and in Benjamin.

1 И жили начальники народа в Иерусалиме, а прочие из народа бросили жеребий, чтоб одного из десяти ввести на жительство в святый город Иерусалим, а девятерых оставить в городах.

2 И благословил народ всех тех, которые добровольно согласились жить в Иерусалиме.

3 Вот главы земли, которые жили в Иерусалиме. А в городах Иудеи жили, всяк в своем владении, по городам своим. Израильтяне, священники, и левиты, и Нефинеи и сыновья рабов Соломоновых.

4 В Иерусалиме жили сыновья Иудины и сыновья Вениаминовы. Из сыновей Иудиных: Афаия, сын Уззии, сын Захарии, сын Амарии, сын Шефатии, сын Малелеила из сыновей Фареса.

5 И Маасея, сын Варуха, сын Колхозея, сын Хазаии, сын Адаии, сын Иоиарива, сын Захарии, сын Шилония.

6 Всех сыновей Фареса, живших в Иерусалиме, четыреста шестьдесят восемь, люди отличные.

7 И вот сыновья Вениаминовы: Саллу, сын Мешуллама, сын Иоеда, сын Федаии, сын Колаии, сын Маасеи, сын Ифиила, сын Исаии.

8 И за ним Габбай, Саллай, девятьсот двадцать восемь.

9 Иоиль, сын Зихрия, был надзирателем над ними; а Иуда, сын Сенуи, над второю частью города.

10 Из священников: Иедаия, сын Иоиарива, Иахин,

11 Сераия, сын Хелкии, сын Мешуллама, сын Цадока, сын Мераиофа, сын Ахитува, начальствующий в доме Божием.

12 И братья их, отправлявшие службу в доме Божием, восемьсот двадцать два; и Адаия, сын Иерохама, сын Фелалии, сын Амция, сын Захарии, сын Палихура, сын Малхии.

13 И братья его, главы поколений, двести сорок два; и Амашсай, сын Азариила, сын Ахзая, сын Мешиллемофа, сын Иммера,

14 И братья их, люди отличные, сто двадцать восемь. Надзирателем над ними был Завдиил, сын Гедолима.

16 И Шавтай и Иозавад, главы левитов, по внешним делам дома Божия;

17 И Матфания, сын Михи, сын Завдия, сын Асафа, главный начинщик славословия при молитве; и Ваквукия, вторый по нем, из братьев его; и Авда, сын Шаммуя, сын Галала, сын Идифума.

18 Всех левитов во святом городе, двести восемьдесят четыре.

19 А привратники, Аккув, Талмон и братья их, содержавшие стражу у ворот, сто семьдесят два.

20 Прочие Израильтяне, священники, левиты жили по всем городам Иудеи, каждый в своем наследии.

21 А Нефинеи жили в Офеле. Над Нефинеями Циха и Гилифа.

22 Надзирателем над левитами в Иерусалиме был Уззий, сын Вания, сын Хашавии, сын Матфании, сын Михи, из сыновей Асафовых, которые были певцами при служении в доме Божием;

23 Потому что от царя дано особое об них повеление, и каждый день назначено было дело для певцов.

24 И Петахия, сын Мешезавела, из сыновей Зары, сына Иудина, имел поручение от царя по великим делам, касающимся до народа.

25 А что касается до живших в селах, на полях своих, то сыновья Иудины жили в Кириаф-Арбе и зависящих от нее местах, в Дивоне и зависящих от него местах, в Иекавцеиле и селах его,

26 В Иешуе, в Моладе и в Беф-Палете,

27 В Хацар-Шуале, в Вирсавии и зависящих от нее местах,

28 В Циклаге, в Михоне и зависящих от нее местах,

29 В Енриммоне, в Цоре и в Иармуфе,

30 В Заноахе, Одолламе и селах их, в Лахисе и на полях его, в Азеке и зависящих от нее местах. Они расположились от Вирсавии и до долины Енномовой.

31 Сыновья Вениаминовы, начиная от Гевы в Михмасе, Гае, в Вефиле и зависящих от него местах,

32 В Анафофе, Нове, Анании,

33 Гацоре, Раме, Гиттаиме,

34 Хадиде, Цевоиме, Неваллате,

35 Лоде, Оно, Ге-Харашиме.

36 И из левитов, из участка Иудина, некоторые жили на землях Вениамина.

1 И жили начальники народа в Иерусалиме, а прочие из народа бросили жеребий, чтоб одного из десяти ввести на жительство в святый город Иерусалим, а девятерых оставить в городах.

2 И благословил народ всех тех, которые добровольно согласились жить в Иерусалиме.

3 Now these are the chiefs of the province who dwelt in Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah (they dwelt every one in his own possession in their towns in Israel). along with the priests, the Levites, and some of the people, and also the descendants of Solomon's servants who dwelt in Jerusalem,

3 Вот главы земли, которые жили в Иерусалиме. А в городах Иудеи жили, всяк в своем владении, по городам своим. Израильтяне, священники, и левиты, и Нефинеи и сыновья рабов Соломоновых.

9 And Joel the son of Zechariah was their overseer; and Judah the son of Senuah was second over the city.

9 Иоиль, сын Зихрия, был надзирателем над ними; а Иуда, сын Сенуи, над второю частью города.

18 Всех левитов во святом городе, двести восемьдесят четыре.
