1 THEN Job answered and said, |
|
2 Why do you try to help him who is powerless? Why do you try to save the arm that has no strength? |
|
3 How have you counselled him who has no wisdom? And how have you expounded so many doctrines? |
|
4 To whom have you uttered words? And whose soul has come forth from you? |
|
5 Behold, the mighty men shall be slain, and they shall lie down quieter than still waters. |
|
6 Sheol is naked before him, and destruction has no covering. |
|
7 He stretches out the north from the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing. |
|
8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. |
|
9 He holds fast the covering of the firmament, and spreads his cloud upon it. |
|
10 He has circled the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. |
|
11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. |
|
12 He rebukes the sea with his power, and by his wisdom he saves many. |
|
13 By his spirit he manages the heavens; his hand slew the fleeing serpent. |
|
14 Lo, these are merely parts of his ways; and what evil thing have we heard against him? And the greatness of his might who can understand? |

2 „Як безси́лому ти допоміг, як раме́но підпер ти немо́жному? |
|
3 Що ти радив немудрому, й яку раду подав багатьом? |
|
4 Кому́ ти слова́ говорив, і чий дух вийшов з тебе? |
|
5 Рефаїми тремтять під водою й всі її ме́шканці. |
|
6 Голий шео́л перед Ним, і нема покриття́ Аваддо́ну. |
|
7 Він над порожнечею пі́вніч простяг, на нічо́му Він землю повісив. |
|
8 Він зав'я́зує воду в Своїх облака́х, і не розбива́ється хмара під ними. |
|
9 Він поставив престо́ла Свого, розтягнув над ним хмару Свою. |
|
10 На поверхні води Він зазна́чив межу́ аж до границі між світлом та те́мрявою. |
|
11 Стовпи неба тремтять та страша́ться від гніву Його. |
|
12 Він міццю Своєю вспоко́ює море, і Своїм розумом нищить Рага́ва. |
|
13 Своїм Духом Він небо прикра́сив, рука Його в ньому створила втікаючого Скорпіо́на. |
|
14 Таж це все — самі кі́нці дороги Його, — бо ми тільки слабке́ шепоті́ння чува́ли про Нього, грім поту́ги ж Його — хто його зрозуміє?“ |
