Глава 12

1 И сказал ГОСПОДЬ Авраму: «Оставь страну свою, родственников своих, дом отца своего и иди в землю, которую Я укажу тебе.

2 Родоначальником великого народа Я сделаю тебя, и благословлю тебя, и возвеличу имя твое: ты должен стать благословением для многих.

3 Благословлю Я тех, кто тебя благословляет, а проклинающих тебя — прокляну. Благословением ты будешь для всех народов земли».

4 И Аврам, которому было тогда семьдесят пять лет, покинул Харан и отправился в путь, как повелел ему ГОСПОДЬ; и Лот пошел вместе с ним.

5 Аврам взял с собой Сару, жену свою, Лота, племянника своего, и всё имущество, нажитое ими, и тех рабов, которых они приобрели в Харане, и пошел с ними в землю ханаанскую. Придя в Ханаан,

6 прошел Аврам по той стране до священного места возле города Шехема, к дубу Морэ. В то время на земле той жили ханаанеи,

7 но ГОСПОДЬ явился Авраму и сказал: «Твоим потомкам Я отдам эту землю». И поставил Аврам жертвенник ГОСПОДУ, явившемуся ему на том месте.

8 Оттуда прошел он в горную местность, что к востоку от Бет-Эля, и расположил там стан свой так, что Бет-Эль был от него на западе, а Ай — на востоке. Там он поставил еще один жертвенник ГОСПОДУ и призвал имя ГОСПОДНЕ: богослужение совершил.

9 Так, идя с остановками, Аврам продвигался на юг Ханаана.

10 Случилось, что местность ту постиг голод и такой сильный, что Авраму пришлось идти еще южнее, до самого Египта, чтобы там найти себе временное пристанище.

11 На пути, перед тем как войти в ту страну, он сказал Саре, жене своей: «Я знаю, что ты женщина очень красивая.

12 Когда египтяне увидят тебя и поймут, что ты моя жена, они оставят тебя в живых, а меня убьют.

13 Скажи им, что ты моя сестра, тогда ради тебя они будут ко мне хорошо относиться и, считаясь с тобой, оставят меня в живых».

14 И действительно, когда Аврам пришел в Египет, египтяне обратили внимание на необычайную красоту Сары.

15 Увидели Сару и придворные, они расхвалили ее фараону, и ее взяли к нему во дворец.

16 И тот ради Сары очень хорошо относился к Авраму: в дар от него Аврам получил мелкий и крупный рогатый скот и ослов, рабов и рабынь, ослиц и верблюдов.

17 Но когда ГОСПОДЬ поразил фараона и домочадцев его тяжелыми болезнями за Сару, жену Аврама,

18 фараон позвал Аврама и сказал ему: «Как мог ты так поступить со мной? Почему утаил от меня, что она твоя жена?

19 Зачем говорил, что она твоя сестра? Я едва не взял ее в жены. Вот она — забирай ее и уходи!»

20 Фараон дал о нем повеление людям своим, и те проводили его из страны вместе с женой и всем имуществом его.

Chapter 12

1 NOW the LORD said to Abram, Depart from your country, and from the place of your nativity, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you;

2 And I will make of you a great people, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing;

3 And I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you: and in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram did as the LORD had spoken to him; and Lot went with him; and Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son and all their possessions which they had gained and the persons that they had gotten in Haran, and they went on their way to the land of Canaan, and to the land of Canaan they came.

6 And Abram passed through the land as far as the country of Shechem, and as far as the oak of Mamre. And the Canaanites were settled then in the land.

7 Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, To your descendants will I give this land; and Abram built there an altar to the LORD, for he had appeared to him.

8 And from thence he removed to a mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the LORD and called upon the name of the LORD,

9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

10 Now there was a famine in the land; so Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was severe in the land.

11 And it came to pass when he was about to enter into Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that you are a woman beautiful to look upon;

12 And it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians see you, they will say, This is his wife; and they will kill me, but they will spare you.

13 Say, therefore, that you are my sister because I will be treated well for your sake; and my life shall be spared because of you.

14 And it came to pass when Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that his wife was very beautiful.

15 The princes of Pharaoh also saw her and praised her before Pharaoh; and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.

16 And Abram was well treated for her sake; and he became the owner of sheep, oxen, he asses, menservants, maidservants, she asses, and camels.

17 And the LORD afflicted Pharaoh and his household with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.

18 So Pharaoh called Abram, and said to him, What is this that you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?

19 Why did you say, She is my sister, so that I took her for my wife? Now, therefore, here is your wife, take her, and leave the country.

20 And Pharaoh charged his men concerning him; and sent him away together with his wife, and all that he had.

4 So Abram did as the LORD had spoken to him; and Lot went with him; and Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son and all their possessions which they had gained and the persons that they had gotten in Haran, and they went on their way to the land of Canaan, and to the land of Canaan they came.

6 прошел Аврам по той стране до священного места возле города Шехема, к дубу Морэ. В то время на земле той жили ханаанеи,

6 And Abram passed through the land as far as the country of Shechem, and as far as the oak of Mamre. And the Canaanites were settled then in the land.

9 Так, идя с остановками, Аврам продвигался на юг Ханаана.

9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

10 Случилось, что местность ту постиг голод и такой сильный, что Авраму пришлось идти еще южнее, до самого Египта, чтобы там найти себе временное пристанище.

10 Now there was a famine in the land; so Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was severe in the land.

11 На пути, перед тем как войти в ту страну, он сказал Саре, жене своей: «Я знаю, что ты женщина очень красивая.

11 And it came to pass when he was about to enter into Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that you are a woman beautiful to look upon;

12 Когда египтяне увидят тебя и поймут, что ты моя жена, они оставят тебя в живых, а меня убьют.

12 And it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians see you, they will say, This is his wife; and they will kill me, but they will spare you.

13 Скажи им, что ты моя сестра, тогда ради тебя они будут ко мне хорошо относиться и, считаясь с тобой, оставят меня в живых».

13 Say, therefore, that you are my sister because I will be treated well for your sake; and my life shall be spared because of you.

14 И действительно, когда Аврам пришел в Египет, египтяне обратили внимание на необычайную красоту Сары.

14 And it came to pass when Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that his wife was very beautiful.

15 Увидели Сару и придворные, они расхвалили ее фараону, и ее взяли к нему во дворец.

15 The princes of Pharaoh also saw her and praised her before Pharaoh; and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.

16 И тот ради Сары очень хорошо относился к Авраму: в дар от него Аврам получил мелкий и крупный рогатый скот и ослов, рабов и рабынь, ослиц и верблюдов.

16 And Abram was well treated for her sake; and he became the owner of sheep, oxen, he asses, menservants, maidservants, she asses, and camels.

17 Но когда ГОСПОДЬ поразил фараона и домочадцев его тяжелыми болезнями за Сару, жену Аврама,

17 And the LORD afflicted Pharaoh and his household with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.

18 фараон позвал Аврама и сказал ему: «Как мог ты так поступить со мной? Почему утаил от меня, что она твоя жена?

18 So Pharaoh called Abram, and said to him, What is this that you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?

19 Зачем говорил, что она твоя сестра? Я едва не взял ее в жены. Вот она — забирай ее и уходи!»

19 Why did you say, She is my sister, so that I took her for my wife? Now, therefore, here is your wife, take her, and leave the country.

20 Фараон дал о нем повеление людям своим, и те проводили его из страны вместе с женой и всем имуществом его.

20 And Pharaoh charged his men concerning him; and sent him away together with his wife, and all that he had.
