2 Und er nahm3947 zehn6235 Männer582 von den Ältesten2205 der Stadt5892 und sprach559: Setzet euch her! Und sie3427 setzten sich3427.

3 Da sprach559 er zu dem Erben1350: Naemi5281, die vom Land7704 der Moabiter4124 wiederkommen7725 ist, beut feil4376 das Stück2513 Feld7704, das unsers Bruders251 war, Elimelechs458.

4 Darum gedachte ich‘s vor deine Ohren241 zu bringen1540 und2205 zu sagen559: Willst du es beerben1350, so kaufe7069 es vor den Bürgern3427 und vor den Ältesten meines Volks5971; willst du es aber nicht beerben1350, so sage559 mir‘s5046, daß ich‘s wisse3045; denn2108 es ist kein Erbe1350 ohne du und ich nach310 dir. Er1350 sprach559: Ich will‘s beerben1350.

5 Then said559 Boaz,1162 What day3117 thou buyest7069 the field7704 of the hand4480 3027 of Naomi,5281 thou must buy7069 it also of4480 854 Ruth7327 the Moabitess,4125 the wife802 of the dead,4191 to raise up6965 the name8034 of the dead4191 upon5921 his inheritance.5159

6 Da sprach559 er1350: Ich3201 mag es nicht beerben1350, daß ich nicht vielleicht mein Erbteil5159 verderbe7843. Beerbe du, was ich beerben1350 soll1353; denn ich mag es nicht beerben1350.

6 And the kinsman1350 said,559 I cannot3808 3201 redeem1350 it for myself, lest6435 I mar7843 853 mine own inheritance:5159 redeem1350 thou859 853 my right1353 to thyself; for3588 I cannot3808 3201 redeem1350 it.

7 Es war aber von alters her eine solche Gewohnheit in Israel3478: Wenn einer ein376 Gut nicht6965 beerben1353 noch erkaufen8545 wollte, auf6440 daß allerlei Sache bestünde, so zog er seinen7453 Schuh5275 aus8025 und gab5414 ihn dem andern; das1697 war das Zeugnis8584 in Israel3478.

7 Now this2063 was the manner in former time6440 in Israel3478 concerning5921 redeeming1353 and concerning5921 changing,8545 for to confirm6965 all3605 things;1697 a man376 plucked off8025 his shoe,5275 and gave5414 it to his neighbor:7453 and this2063 was a testimony8584 in Israel.3478

8 Und der Erbe1350 sprach559 zu Boas1162: Kaufe7069 du es; und zog seinen Schuh5275 aus8025.

8 Therefore the kinsman1350 said559 unto Boaz,1162 Buy7069 it for thee. So he drew off8025 his shoe.5275

9 Und Boas1162 sprach559 zu den Ältesten2205 und zu allem Volk5971: Ihr seid heute3117 Zeugen5707, daß ich alles gekauft7069 habe, was Elimelechs458 gewesen ist, und alles, was Chiljons und Mahlons4248, von der Hand3027 Naemis5281.

9 And Boaz1162 said559 unto the elders,2205 and unto all3605 the people,5971 Ye859 are witnesses5707 this day,3117 that3588 I have bought7069 853 all3605 that834 was Elimelech's,458 and all3605 that834 was Chilion's3630 and Mahlon's,4248 of the hand4480 3027 of Naomi.5281

10 Dazu7069 auch Ruth7327, die8034 Moabitin4125, Mahlons4248 Weib802, nehme ich zum Weibe802, daß ich dem Verstorbenen einen Namen8034 erwecke auf6965 sein4191 Erbteil5159, und5973 sein4191 Name nicht ausgerottet werde unter seinen Brüdern251 und aus3772 dem Tor8179 seines Orts4725; Zeugen5707 seid ihr des heute3117.

11 Und alles Volk5971, das im Tor8179 war, samt den Ältesten2205 sprachen559: Wir sind Zeugen5707. Der HErr3068 mache5414 das Weib802, das in dein Haus1004 kommt935, wie Rahel7354 und Lea3812, die8034 beide8147 das Haus1004 Israel3478 gebauet haben; und wachse sehr2428 in Ephratha672 und werde1129 gepreiset zu6213 Bethlehem1035!

12 Und dein Haus1004 werde wie das Haus1004 Perez6557, den Thamar8559 Juda3063 gebar3205, von dem Samen2233, den dir der HErr3068 geben5414 wird von dieser Dirne5291.

12 And let thy house1004 be1961 like the house1004 of Pharez,6557 whom834 Tamar8559 bore3205 unto Judah,3063 of4480 the seed2233 which834 the LORD3068 shall give5414 thee of4480 this2063 young woman.5291

13 Also nahm3947 Boas1162 die Ruth7327, daß sie sein935 Weib802 ward. Und da er bei ihr lag, gab5414 ihr der HErr3068, daß sie schwanger2032 ward, und gebar3205 einen Sohn1121.

13 So Boaz1162 took3947 853 Ruth,7327 and she was1961 his wife:802 and when he went935 in unto413 her, the LORD3068 gave5414 her conception,2032 and she bore3205 a son.1121

14 Da sprachen559 die8034 Weiber802 zu Naemi5281: Gelobet sei1288 der HErr3068, der dir nicht hat1350 lassen7121 abgehen7673 einen Erben zu dieser Zeit3117, daß sein Name in Israel3478 bliebe.

14 And the women802 said559 unto413 Naomi,5281 Blessed1288 be the LORD,3068 which834 hath not3808 left7673 thee this day3117 without a kinsman,1350 that his name8034 may be famous7121 in Israel.3478

15 Der wird dich7725 erquicken und dein Alter7872 versorgen3557. Denn deine Schnur, die dich geliebet hat157, hat ihn5315 geboren3205, welche dir besser2896 ist denn sieben7651 Söhne1121.

15 And he shall be1961 unto thee a restorer7725 of thy life,5315 and a nourisher3557 of853 thine old age:7872 for3588 thy daughter-in-law,3618 which834 loveth157 thee, which834 is better2896 to thee than seven4480 7651 sons,1121 hath born3205 him.

16 Und Naemi5281 nahm3947 das Kind3206 und legte7896 es auf ihren Schoß2436 und ward seine Wärterin539.

17 Und1121 ihre Nachbarinnen7934 gaben7121 ihm einen Namen8034 und sprachen559: Naemi5281 ist ein Kind geboren3205; und hießen7121 ihn8034 Obed5744, der ist der Vater1 Isais3448, welcher ist Davids1732 Vater1.

17 And the women her neighbors7934 gave7121 it a name,8034 saying,559 There is a son1121 born3205 to Naomi;5281 and they called7121 his name8034 Obed:5744 he1931 is the father1 of Jesse,3448 the father1 of David.1732
