Das Evangelium nach Lukas

Kapitel 6

1 Und1161 es begab1096 sich an einem1207 Sabbat4521, daß er846 durchs Getreide4702 ging1279; und2532 seine846 Jünger3101 rauften5089 Ähren4719 aus1223 und2532 aßen2068 und rieben5597 sie mit1722 den Händen5495.

2 Etliche5100 aber1161 der3739 Pharisäer5330 sprachen2036 zu1722 ihnen: Warum tut4160 ihr846, was5101 sich1832 nicht3756 ziemet zu tun4160 an den Sabbaten4521?

3 Und2532 JEsus2424 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036 zu ihnen846: Habt ihr846 nicht3761 das5124 gelesen, was3588 David1138 tat4160, da3698 ihn3983 hungerte, und die3739 mit3326 ihm846 waren5607:

4 wie5613 er846 zum1519 Hause3624 Gottes2316 einging1525 und2532 nahm2983 die3739 Schaubrote und25325315 und2532 gab1325 auch2532 denen, die mit3326 ihm waren, die doch niemand3756 durfte1832 essen5315 ohne1508 die Priester2409 alleine?

5 Und2532 sprach3004 zu ihnen: Des846 Menschen444 Sohn ist2076 ein HErr2962 auch2532 des Sabbats4521.

6 Es geschah aber1161 auf1519 einen andern2087 Sabbat4521, daß er846 ging in1722 die Schule4864 und2532 lehrete. Und2532 da2532 war1096 ein1525 Mensch444, des846 rechte1188 Hand5495 war2258 verdorret.

7 Aber1161 die Schriftgelehrten1122 und2532 Pharisäer5330 hielten auf ihn, ob1487 er846 auch heilen2323 würde am1722 Sabbat4521, auf daß2443 sie846 eine Sache2724 wider ihn fänden2147.

8 Er846 aber1161 merkete ihre Gedanken1261 und2532 sprach2036 zu dem3588 Menschen444 mit der dürren3584 Hand5495: Stehe450 auf1453 und2532 tritt2476 hervor! Und1161 er stund auf1519 und trat2476 dahin.

9 Da3767 sprach2036 JEsus2424 zu4314 ihnen846: Ich frage1905 euch5209: Was5101 ziemet sich1832 zu tun15 an den Sabbaten4521, Gutes oder2228 Böses, das Leben5590 erhalten4982 oder2228 verderben622?

10 Und2532 er846 sah4017 sie alle3956 umher an und1161 sprach2036 zu dem Menschen444: Strecke1614 aus deine4675 Hand5495! Und2532 er tat‘s4160. Da5613 ward600 ihm seine846 Hand5495 wieder zurechtgebracht, gesund5199 wie3779 die andere243.

11 Sie aber1161 wurden4130 ganz unsinnig454 und2532 beredeten sich1255 miteinander240, was302 sie ihm2424 tun4160 wollten.

12 Es begab1096 sich aber1161 zu1722 der5025 Zeit2250, daß er ging1831 auf1519 einen Berg3735, zu beten4336; und2532 er blieb2258 über Nacht1273 in1722 dem Gebet4335 zu GOtt2316.

13 Und2532 da3753 es Tag2250 ward1096, rief4377 er seine846 Jünger3101 und2532 erwählete ihrer575 zwölf1427, welche3739 er auch2532 Apostel652 nannte3687:

14 Simon4613, welchen3739 er846 Petrus4074 nannte3687, und2532 Andreas406, seinen Bruder80, Jakobus2385 und2532 Johannes2491, Philippus5376 und2532 Bartholomäus918,

15 Matthäus3156 und2532 Thomas2381, Jakobus2385, des3588 Alphäus256 Sohn, Simon4613, genannt2564 Zelotes2208,

16 Judas2455, des2532 Jakobus2385 Sohn, und2532 Judas2455 Ischariot2469, den3739 Verräter4273.

17 Und2532 er846 ging2064 hernieder mit3326 ihnen846 und2532 trat2597 auf2476 einen Platz5117 im1909 Felde, und2532 der3739 Haufe seiner Jünger3101 und2532 eine große4183 Menge4128 des846 Volks3793 von575 allem3956 jüdischen2449 Lande und2532 Jerusalem2419 und2532 Tyrus5184 und2532 Sidon4605, am Meer3882 gelegen,

18 die da kommen waren, ihn zu hören, und2532 daß sie geheilet würden von5259 ihren Seuchen, und2532 die von unsaubern169 Geistern4151 umgetrieben wurden3791, die wurden gesund2323.

19 Und2532 alles3956 Volk3793 begehrete, ihn anzurühren680, denn3754 es ging1831 Kraft1411 von3844 ihm846; und2212 heilete sie846 alle3956.

20 Und2532 er hub seine Augen3788 auf1869 über seine Jünger3101 und1519 sprach3004: Selig3107 seid ihr846 Armen4434; denn3754 das932 Reich Gottes2316 ist2076 euer5212.

21 Selig3107 seid ihr2799, die ihr hier3568 hungert3983; denn3754 ihr sollet satt werden5526. Selig3107 seid ihr, die ihr hier3568 weinet; denn3754 ihr werdet lachen1070.

22 Selig3107 seid ihr2075, so3752 euch5209 die Menschen444 hassen3404 und2532 euch5209 absondern873 und2532 schelten3679 euch5216 und2532 verwerfen1544 euren Namen3686 als5613 einen444 boshaftigen um1752 des Menschensohns willen.

23 Freuet euch5463 alsdann1722 und2532 hüpfet; denn1063 siehe2400, euer5216 Lohn3408 ist groß4183 im1722 Himmel3772. Desgleichen2596 taten4160 ihre846 Väter3962 den1565 Propheten4396 auch.

24 Aber dagegen4133 wehe3759 euch5213 Reichen4145! denn3754 ihr habt568 euren5216 Trost3874 dahin.

25 Wehe3759 euch5213, die ihr voll seid1705! denn3754 euch5213 wird hungern3983. Wehe3759 euch, die ihr hier3568 lachet1070! denn3754 ihr werdet weinen2799 und2532 heulen3996.

26 Wehe3759 euch5213, wenn3752 euch5209 jedermann3956 wohl2573 redet2036! Desgleichen2596 taten4160 ihre846 Väter3962 den444 falschen Propheten5578 auch:

27 Aber235 ich sage3004 euch5213, die3588 ihr191 zuhöret: Liebet25 eure Feinde2190; tut4160 denen wohl2573, die3588 euch5216 hassen3404;

28 segnet2127 die, so2532 euch5213 verfluchen2672; bittet4336 für5228 die, so euch5209 beleidigen1908.

29 Und2532 wer dich4571 schlägt5180 auf1909 einen Backen4600, dem575 biete3930 den andern243 auch2532 dar; und2532 wer dir4675 den Mantel2440 nimmt142, dem wehre2967 nicht3361 auch den Rock5509.

30 Wer dich4571 bittet154, dem575 gib1325; und1161 wer dir das3956 Deine4674 nimmt, da2532 fordere523 es nicht3361 wieder142.

31 Und2532 wie2531 ihr2309 wollet, daß2443 euch5213 die Leute444 tun4160 sollen, also tut4160 ihnen846 gleich3668 auch2532 ihr5210.

32 Und2532 so ihr5213 liebet25, die euch5209 lieben25, was4169 Danks habt2076 ihr846 davon? Denn1487 die Sünder268 lieben25 auch2532 ihre Liebhaber.

33 Und2532 wenn1437 ihr5209 euren Wohltätern15 wohl tut4160, was4169 Danks habt2076 ihr5213 davon? Denn1063 die846 Sünder268 tun15 dasselbige auch2532.

34 Und2532 wenn1437 ihr5213 leihet1155, von3844 denen ihr hoffet1679 zu nehmen618, was4169 Danks habt2076 ihr davon? Denn1063 die3739 Sünder268 leihen den Sündern268 auch2532, auf daß2443 sie Gleiches2470 wieder nehmen618.

35 Doch4133 aber liebet25 eure5216 Feinde2190; tut wohl15 und2532 leihet1155, daß3754 ihr846 nichts3367 dafür hoffet560, so wird euer5216 Lohn3408 groß4183 sein2071, und2532 werdet Kinder des Allerhöchsten5310 sein2071. Denn er ist2076 gütig5543 über1909 die Undankbaren884 und Boshaftigen.

36 Darum3767 seid1096 barmherzig3629, wie2531 auch2532 euer5216 Vater3962 barmherzig3629 ist2076.

37 Richtet2919 nicht3361, so2532 werdet ihr auch2532 nicht3364 gerichtet2919. Verdammet2613 nicht3361, so2532 werdet ihr auch2532 nicht3364 verdammet2613. Vergebet630, so wird2919 euch vergeben.

38 Gebt1325, so2532 wird euch5213 gegeben1325. Ein voll2570, gedrückt4085, gerüttelt4531 und2532 überflüssig Maß3358 wird man in1519 euren5213 Schoß2859 geben1325; denn1063 eben mit dem3739 Maß3358, da2532 ihr846 mit messet3354, wird man euch5216 wieder messen488.

39 Und1161 er sagte2036 ihnen ein Gleichnis3850: Mag auch ein Blinder5185 einem Blinden5185 den Weg weisen3594? Werden sie nicht1410 alle beide297 in1519 die Grube999 fallen4098?

40 Der Jünger3101 ist2076 nicht3756 über5228 seinen Meister1320; wenn der Jünger3956 ist wie5613 sein2071 Meister1320, so1161 ist er846 vollkommen2675.

41 Was5101 siehest du991 aber1161 einen Splitter2595 in1722 deines Bruders80 Auge3788, und1161 des Balkens1385 in deinem4675 Auge3788 wirst2657 du nicht3756 gewahr?

42 Oder2228 wie4459 kannst du991 sagen3004 zu1410 deinem4675 Bruder80: Halt863 stille, Bruder80! Ich will den846 Splitter2595 aus1722 deinem4675 Auge3788 ziehen1544; und4412 du991 siehest selbst nicht3756 den1722 Balken1385 in1722 deinem4675 Auge3788? Du4675 Heuchler5273! Zieh1544 zuvor den Balken1385 aus1537 deinem4675 Auge3788 und2532 besiehe dann5119, daß du den Splitter2595 aus1544 deines Bruders80 Auge3788 ziehest.

43 Denn1063 es ist2076 kein3756 guter2570 Baum1186, der faule4550 Frucht2590 trage4160, und kein3761 fauler4550 Baum1186, der gute2570 Frucht2590 trage4160.

44 Ein jeglicher1538 Baum1186 wird an1537 seiner eigenen2398 Frucht2590 erkannt1097. Denn1063 man lieset nicht3756 Feigen4810 von1537 den Dornen173 auch so lieset man nicht3761 Trauben4718 von1537 den Hecken942.

45 Ein guter18 Mensch444 bringt4393 Gutes18 hervor aus1537 dem guten18 Schatz2344 seines Herzens2588; und2532 ein boshaftiger Mensch444 bringt4393 Böses hervor aus1537 dem bösen4190 Schatz2344. seines Herzens2588. Denn1063 wes das Herz2588 voll4051 ist, des846 gehet der1537 Mund4750 über.

46 Was5101 heißet ihr2564 mich3165 aber1161 HErr2962, HErr2962, und2532 tut4160 nicht3756, was3739 ich euch sage3004?

47 Wer3956 zu4314 mir3165 kommt2064 und2532 höret191 meine3450 Rede3056 und2532 tut4160 sie, den will ich euch5213 zeigen5263, wem5101 er846 gleich3664 ist2076.

48 Er846 ist2076 gleich3664 einem Menschen, der3739 ein Haus3614 bauete und2532 grub4626 tief900 und2532 legte5087 den444 Grund2310 auf1909 den Fels4073. Da aber1161 Gewässer4132 kam1096, da riß4366 der1565 Strom4215 zum Hause3614 zu und2532 mochte es nicht3756 bewegen4531; denn1063 es war3618 auf1909 den Fels4073 gegründet2311

49 Wer aber1161 höret191 und2532 nicht3361 tut4160, der1565 ist2076 gleich3664 einem Menschen444, der ein Haus3614 bauete auf1909 die Erde1093 ohne5565 Grund2310; und2532 der Strom4215 riß4366 zu ihm zu, und2532 es fiel4098 bald2112, und das3739 Haus3614 gewann1096 einen großen3173 Riß4366.

Luke

Chapter 6

1 IT came to pass on the sabbath, as Jesus walked through the wheat fields, his disciples plucked ears of wheat, and rubbed them in their hands and did eat.

2 But some of the men of the Pharisees said to them, Why are you doing what is unlawful to do on the sabbath?

3 Jesus answered and said to them, Have you not read this, what David did when he and those who were with him were hungry?

4 He entered into the house of God, and took the bread that was on the table of the Lord and did eat it, and he gave it to those who were with him; that which was unlawful to eat but only for the priests.

5 And he said to them, The Son of man is Lord of the sabbath.

6 And it came to pass on another sabbath, he entered into the synagogue and taught; and there was there a man whose right hand was withered.

7 And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see if he would heal on the sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against him.

8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man whose hand was withered, Rise up and come to the center of the synagogue. And when he came and stood up,

9 Jesus said to them, I will ask you, What is lawful to do on the sabbath, that which is good or that which is bad? to save a life or to destroy it?

10 And he looked at all of them, and said to him, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out; and his hand was restored like the other.

11 But they were filled with bitterness, and discussed with each other what to do with Jesus.

12 It happened in those days, Jesus went out to a mountain to pray, and he remained all night in prayer to God.

13 And at daybreak, he called his disciples; and he chose twelve from them, whom he called apostles;

14 Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,

15 And Matthew and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus and Simon who is called the Zealot,

16 And Judas the son of James, and Judas of Iscariot, who became the traitor.

17 And Jesus went down with them and stood up in the plain; and a large group of his disciples, and a large crowd of people, from all over Judaea, and from Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear his word, and to be healed of their diseases;

18 And those who were suffering from unclean spirits were healed.

19 And all the people wanted to touch him; because power proceeded from him, and he healed them all.

20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples and said, Blessed are you poor, for the kingdom of God is yours.

21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.

22 Blessed are you, when men hate you, and discriminate against you, and reproach you, and publish your names as bad, for the sake of the Son of man.

23 Be glad and rejoice in that day, for your reward is increased in heaven; for their fathers did the same to the prophets.

24 But woe to you, rich men! for you have already received your comforts.

25 Woe to you who are full! for you will hunger. Woe to you who laugh now! for you will weep and mourn.

26 Woe to you when men speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

27 But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, and do good to those who hate you,

28 And bless those who curse you, and pray for those who compel you to carry burdens.

29 And he who strikes you on your cheek, offer him the other; and he who takes away your robe, do not refuse your shirt also.

30 Give to every one who asks you; and from him who takes away what is yours, do not demand it back again.

31 Just as you want men to do to you. do to them likewise.

32 For if you love those who love you, what is your favor? for even sinners love those who love them.

33 And if you do good only to those who do good to you, what is your favor? for sinners also do the same.

34 And if you lend only to him from whom you expect to be paid back, what is your favor? for sinners also lend to sinners, to be paid back likewise.

35 But love your enemies, and do good to them, and lend, and do not cut off any man's hope; so your reward will increase, and you will become sons of the Highest; for he is gracious to the wicked and the cruel.

36 Be therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.

38 Give, and it will be given to you; good measure shaken up and running over, they will pour into your robe.* For with the measure that you measure, it will be measured to you.

39 And he told them a parable, Can a blind man take care of a blind man? will they not both fall in a pit?

40 There is no disciple who is more important than his teacher; for every man who is well developed will be like his teacher.

41 Why do you see the splinter in your brother's eye, and do not see the beam in your own eye?

42 Or how can you say to your brother, My brother, let me take out the splinter from your eye, when behold, you do not see the beam in your own eye? O hypocrites, first take out the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter from your brother's eye.

43 There is no good tree that bears bad fruits, nor a bad tree that bears good fruits.

44 For every tree is known by its own fruits. For they do not gather figs from thistles, nor gather grapes from a bramble bush.

45 A good man brings out good things from the good treasure of his heart; and a bad man from the bad treasure of his heart brings out bad things; for from the abundance of the heart the lips speak.

46 Why do you call me, My Lord, my Lord, and do not do what I say?

47 Every man who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like.

48 He is like a man who built a house, and dug deep, and laid its foundations upon the rock; and when the flood came, the flood beat upon that house, and could not shake it; for its foundation was laid upon a rock.

49 And he who hears and does not, is like a man who built his house on the earth without a foundation; and when the river beat against it, it fell immediately, and the fall of that house was great.

17 Und2532 er846 ging2064 hernieder mit3326 ihnen846 und2532 trat2597 auf2476 einen Platz5117 im1909 Felde, und2532 der3739 Haufe seiner Jünger3101 und2532 eine große4183 Menge4128 des846 Volks3793 von575 allem3956 jüdischen2449 Lande und2532 Jerusalem2419 und2532 Tyrus5184 und2532 Sidon4605, am Meer3882 gelegen,

17 And Jesus went down with them and stood up in the plain; and a large group of his disciples, and a large crowd of people, from all over Judaea, and from Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear his word, and to be healed of their diseases;

18 die da kommen waren, ihn zu hören, und2532 daß sie geheilet würden von5259 ihren Seuchen, und2532 die von unsaubern169 Geistern4151 umgetrieben wurden3791, die wurden gesund2323.

18 And those who were suffering from unclean spirits were healed.

19 Und2532 alles3956 Volk3793 begehrete, ihn anzurühren680, denn3754 es ging1831 Kraft1411 von3844 ihm846; und2212 heilete sie846 alle3956.

19 And all the people wanted to touch him; because power proceeded from him, and he healed them all.

20 Und2532 er hub seine Augen3788 auf1869 über seine Jünger3101 und1519 sprach3004: Selig3107 seid ihr846 Armen4434; denn3754 das932 Reich Gottes2316 ist2076 euer5212.

20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples and said, Blessed are you poor, for the kingdom of God is yours.

21 Selig3107 seid ihr2799, die ihr hier3568 hungert3983; denn3754 ihr sollet satt werden5526. Selig3107 seid ihr, die ihr hier3568 weinet; denn3754 ihr werdet lachen1070.

21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.

22 Selig3107 seid ihr2075, so3752 euch5209 die Menschen444 hassen3404 und2532 euch5209 absondern873 und2532 schelten3679 euch5216 und2532 verwerfen1544 euren Namen3686 als5613 einen444 boshaftigen um1752 des Menschensohns willen.

22 Blessed are you, when men hate you, and discriminate against you, and reproach you, and publish your names as bad, for the sake of the Son of man.

23 Freuet euch5463 alsdann1722 und2532 hüpfet; denn1063 siehe2400, euer5216 Lohn3408 ist groß4183 im1722 Himmel3772. Desgleichen2596 taten4160 ihre846 Väter3962 den1565 Propheten4396 auch.

23 Be glad and rejoice in that day, for your reward is increased in heaven; for their fathers did the same to the prophets.

24 Aber dagegen4133 wehe3759 euch5213 Reichen4145! denn3754 ihr habt568 euren5216 Trost3874 dahin.

24 But woe to you, rich men! for you have already received your comforts.

25 Wehe3759 euch5213, die ihr voll seid1705! denn3754 euch5213 wird hungern3983. Wehe3759 euch, die ihr hier3568 lachet1070! denn3754 ihr werdet weinen2799 und2532 heulen3996.

25 Woe to you who are full! for you will hunger. Woe to you who laugh now! for you will weep and mourn.

26 Wehe3759 euch5213, wenn3752 euch5209 jedermann3956 wohl2573 redet2036! Desgleichen2596 taten4160 ihre846 Väter3962 den444 falschen Propheten5578 auch:

26 Woe to you when men speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

27 Aber235 ich sage3004 euch5213, die3588 ihr191 zuhöret: Liebet25 eure Feinde2190; tut4160 denen wohl2573, die3588 euch5216 hassen3404;

27 But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, and do good to those who hate you,

28 segnet2127 die, so2532 euch5213 verfluchen2672; bittet4336 für5228 die, so euch5209 beleidigen1908.

28 And bless those who curse you, and pray for those who compel you to carry burdens.

29 Und2532 wer dich4571 schlägt5180 auf1909 einen Backen4600, dem575 biete3930 den andern243 auch2532 dar; und2532 wer dir4675 den Mantel2440 nimmt142, dem wehre2967 nicht3361 auch den Rock5509.

29 And he who strikes you on your cheek, offer him the other; and he who takes away your robe, do not refuse your shirt also.

30 Wer dich4571 bittet154, dem575 gib1325; und1161 wer dir das3956 Deine4674 nimmt, da2532 fordere523 es nicht3361 wieder142.

30 Give to every one who asks you; and from him who takes away what is yours, do not demand it back again.

31 Und2532 wie2531 ihr2309 wollet, daß2443 euch5213 die Leute444 tun4160 sollen, also tut4160 ihnen846 gleich3668 auch2532 ihr5210.

31 Just as you want men to do to you. do to them likewise.

32 Und2532 so ihr5213 liebet25, die euch5209 lieben25, was4169 Danks habt2076 ihr846 davon? Denn1487 die Sünder268 lieben25 auch2532 ihre Liebhaber.

32 For if you love those who love you, what is your favor? for even sinners love those who love them.

33 Und2532 wenn1437 ihr5209 euren Wohltätern15 wohl tut4160, was4169 Danks habt2076 ihr5213 davon? Denn1063 die846 Sünder268 tun15 dasselbige auch2532.

33 And if you do good only to those who do good to you, what is your favor? for sinners also do the same.

34 Und2532 wenn1437 ihr5213 leihet1155, von3844 denen ihr hoffet1679 zu nehmen618, was4169 Danks habt2076 ihr davon? Denn1063 die3739 Sünder268 leihen den Sündern268 auch2532, auf daß2443 sie Gleiches2470 wieder nehmen618.

34 And if you lend only to him from whom you expect to be paid back, what is your favor? for sinners also lend to sinners, to be paid back likewise.

35 Doch4133 aber liebet25 eure5216 Feinde2190; tut wohl15 und2532 leihet1155, daß3754 ihr846 nichts3367 dafür hoffet560, so wird euer5216 Lohn3408 groß4183 sein2071, und2532 werdet Kinder des Allerhöchsten5310 sein2071. Denn er ist2076 gütig5543 über1909 die Undankbaren884 und Boshaftigen.

35 But love your enemies, and do good to them, and lend, and do not cut off any man's hope; so your reward will increase, and you will become sons of the Highest; for he is gracious to the wicked and the cruel.

36 Darum3767 seid1096 barmherzig3629, wie2531 auch2532 euer5216 Vater3962 barmherzig3629 ist2076.

36 Be therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Richtet2919 nicht3361, so2532 werdet ihr auch2532 nicht3364 gerichtet2919. Verdammet2613 nicht3361, so2532 werdet ihr auch2532 nicht3364 verdammet2613. Vergebet630, so wird2919 euch vergeben.

37 Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.

38 Gebt1325, so2532 wird euch5213 gegeben1325. Ein voll2570, gedrückt4085, gerüttelt4531 und2532 überflüssig Maß3358 wird man in1519 euren5213 Schoß2859 geben1325; denn1063 eben mit dem3739 Maß3358, da2532 ihr846 mit messet3354, wird man euch5216 wieder messen488.

38 Give, and it will be given to you; good measure shaken up and running over, they will pour into your robe.* For with the measure that you measure, it will be measured to you.

39 Und1161 er sagte2036 ihnen ein Gleichnis3850: Mag auch ein Blinder5185 einem Blinden5185 den Weg weisen3594? Werden sie nicht1410 alle beide297 in1519 die Grube999 fallen4098?

39 And he told them a parable, Can a blind man take care of a blind man? will they not both fall in a pit?

40 Der Jünger3101 ist2076 nicht3756 über5228 seinen Meister1320; wenn der Jünger3956 ist wie5613 sein2071 Meister1320, so1161 ist er846 vollkommen2675.

40 There is no disciple who is more important than his teacher; for every man who is well developed will be like his teacher.

41 Was5101 siehest du991 aber1161 einen Splitter2595 in1722 deines Bruders80 Auge3788, und1161 des Balkens1385 in deinem4675 Auge3788 wirst2657 du nicht3756 gewahr?

41 Why do you see the splinter in your brother's eye, and do not see the beam in your own eye?

42 Oder2228 wie4459 kannst du991 sagen3004 zu1410 deinem4675 Bruder80: Halt863 stille, Bruder80! Ich will den846 Splitter2595 aus1722 deinem4675 Auge3788 ziehen1544; und4412 du991 siehest selbst nicht3756 den1722 Balken1385 in1722 deinem4675 Auge3788? Du4675 Heuchler5273! Zieh1544 zuvor den Balken1385 aus1537 deinem4675 Auge3788 und2532 besiehe dann5119, daß du den Splitter2595 aus1544 deines Bruders80 Auge3788 ziehest.

42 Or how can you say to your brother, My brother, let me take out the splinter from your eye, when behold, you do not see the beam in your own eye? O hypocrites, first take out the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter from your brother's eye.

43 Denn1063 es ist2076 kein3756 guter2570 Baum1186, der faule4550 Frucht2590 trage4160, und kein3761 fauler4550 Baum1186, der gute2570 Frucht2590 trage4160.

43 There is no good tree that bears bad fruits, nor a bad tree that bears good fruits.

44 Ein jeglicher1538 Baum1186 wird an1537 seiner eigenen2398 Frucht2590 erkannt1097. Denn1063 man lieset nicht3756 Feigen4810 von1537 den Dornen173 auch so lieset man nicht3761 Trauben4718 von1537 den Hecken942.

44 For every tree is known by its own fruits. For they do not gather figs from thistles, nor gather grapes from a bramble bush.

45 Ein guter18 Mensch444 bringt4393 Gutes18 hervor aus1537 dem guten18 Schatz2344 seines Herzens2588; und2532 ein boshaftiger Mensch444 bringt4393 Böses hervor aus1537 dem bösen4190 Schatz2344. seines Herzens2588. Denn1063 wes das Herz2588 voll4051 ist, des846 gehet der1537 Mund4750 über.

45 A good man brings out good things from the good treasure of his heart; and a bad man from the bad treasure of his heart brings out bad things; for from the abundance of the heart the lips speak.

46 Was5101 heißet ihr2564 mich3165 aber1161 HErr2962, HErr2962, und2532 tut4160 nicht3756, was3739 ich euch sage3004?

46 Why do you call me, My Lord, my Lord, and do not do what I say?

47 Wer3956 zu4314 mir3165 kommt2064 und2532 höret191 meine3450 Rede3056 und2532 tut4160 sie, den will ich euch5213 zeigen5263, wem5101 er846 gleich3664 ist2076.

47 Every man who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like.

48 Er846 ist2076 gleich3664 einem Menschen, der3739 ein Haus3614 bauete und2532 grub4626 tief900 und2532 legte5087 den444 Grund2310 auf1909 den Fels4073. Da aber1161 Gewässer4132 kam1096, da riß4366 der1565 Strom4215 zum Hause3614 zu und2532 mochte es nicht3756 bewegen4531; denn1063 es war3618 auf1909 den Fels4073 gegründet2311

48 He is like a man who built a house, and dug deep, and laid its foundations upon the rock; and when the flood came, the flood beat upon that house, and could not shake it; for its foundation was laid upon a rock.

49 Wer aber1161 höret191 und2532 nicht3361 tut4160, der1565 ist2076 gleich3664 einem Menschen444, der ein Haus3614 bauete auf1909 die Erde1093 ohne5565 Grund2310; und2532 der Strom4215 riß4366 zu ihm zu, und2532 es fiel4098 bald2112, und das3739 Haus3614 gewann1096 einen großen3173 Riß4366.

49 And he who hears and does not, is like a man who built his house on the earth without a foundation; and when the river beat against it, it fell immediately, and the fall of that house was great.
