Chapter 21

1 AFTER these things, Jesus showed himself again to his disciples by the sea of Tiberias; and he appeared in this way:

2 They were all together, Simon Peter, and Thomas who is called the Twin, and Nathanael of Cana of Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of the disciples.

3 Simon Peter said to them, I am going to catch fish. They said to him, We also will come with you. So they went out and went up into the boat; and that night they caught nothing.

4 When morning came, Jesus stood by the sea side; and the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

5 So Jesus said to them, Boys, have you got anything to eat? They said to him, No.

6 He said to them, Throw your net on the right side of the boat, and you will find. So they threw it, and they were not able to draw the net, because of the many fishes which it had caught.

7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, That is our Lord. When Simon heard that it was our Lord, he took his cloak and girded it around his waist, because he was naked; and he jumped into the sea to come to Jesus.

8 But the other disciples came by boat; for they were not very far from land, but about a hundred yards, and they were dragging the net of fishes.

9 When they landed, they saw burning coals set, and a fish laid on them, and bread.

10 Jesus said to them, Bring some of the fish which you have now caught.

11 So Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of large fishes, one hundred and fifty-three; and in spite of this weight, the net did not break.

12 Jesus said to them, Come, break your fast. But not one of the disciples dared to ask him who he was, for they knew he was our Lord.

13 Then Jesus drew near, and took bread and fish, and gave to them.

14 This is the third time that Jesus appeared to his disciples, since he rose up from the dead.

15 When they had broken their fast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these things? He said to him, Yes, my Lord; you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my male lambs.

16 He said to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me? He said to him, Yes, my Lord; you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my sheep.

17 He said to him again the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me? It grieved Peter because he said to him the third time, Do you love me? So he said to him, My Lord, you understand well everything, you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my female lambs.

18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to tie up your girdle yourself, and walk wherever you pleased; but when you become old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will tie up for you your girdle, and take you where you do not wish.

19 He said this, to show by what death he would glorify God. And when he had said these things, he said to him, Follow me.

20 Simon Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following him, the one who leaned on the breast of Jesus at the supper, and said, My Lord, who will betray you?

21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, My Lord, what about him?

22 Jesus said to him, If I wish him to remain until I come, what difference does that make to you? You follow me.

23 This word then went out among the brethren, that that disciple would not die. But what Jesus said was not that he would not die; but, If I wish that he should remain until I come back, what difference does that make to you?

24 This is the disciple who testified concerning all of these things, and who also wrote them; and we know that his testimony is true.

25 There are also a great many other things which Jesus did, which, if they were written one by one, not even this world, I believe, could contain the en_lbp_books that would be written.

1 После этого явил Себя снова Иисус ученикам на море Тивериадском, явил же так.

2 Были вместе Симон Петр и Фома, называемый Близнец, и Нафанаил из Каны Галилейской, и сыновья Зеведеевы, и из учеников Его двое других.

3 Говорит им Симон Петр: иду ловить рыбу. Говорят ему: идем и мы с тобой. Вышли и сели в лодку, и в ту ночь не поймали ничего.

4 И когда утро уже наступало, стал Иисус на берегу, но не знали ученики, что это Иисус.

5 Говорит им Иисус: друзья, есть ли у вас что-нибудь к хлебу? Они ответили Ему: нет.

6 Он же сказал им: закиньте сеть по правую сторону лодки, и найдете. Они закинули и уже не могли ее вытащить от множества рыбы.

7 Говорит тогда ученик тот, которого любил Иисус, Петру: это Господь. Симон же Петр, услышав, что это Господь, опоясался одеждой (ибо он был наг) и бросился в море.

8 Другие же ученики приплыли в лодке (были они недалеко от земли: около двухсот локтей), таща сеть с рыбой.

9 Когда же они сошли на землю, видят разложенные горящие уголья и рыбу, на них лежащую, и хлеб.

10 Говорит им Иисус: принесите из тех рыб, что вы поймали сейчас.

11 Вошел Симон Петр в лодку и вытащил на землю сеть, полную больших рыб, числом сто пятьдесят три; и хотя их было столько, не разорвалась сеть.

12 Говорит им Иисус: идите, ешьте. Никто из учеников не смел спросить Его: Ты Кто? — зная, что это Господь.

13 Приходит Иисус и берет хлеб и дает им, и рыбу также.

14 Это уже в третий раз явился Иисус ученикам, восстав из мертвых.

15 Итак, когда они поели, говорит Симону Петру Иисус: Симон, сын Иоанна, любишь ли ты Меня больше, чем они? Говорит Ему: да, Господи, Ты знаешь, что я люблю Тебя. Говорит ему: паси ягнят Моих.

16 Говорит ему снова, во второй раз: Симон, сын Иоанна, любишь ли ты Меня? Говорит Ему: да, Господи, Ты знаешь, что я люблю Тебя. Говорит ему: будь пастырем овец Моих.

17 Говорит ему в третий раз: Симон, сын Иоанна, любишь ли ты Меня? Опечалился Петр, что Он сказал ему в третий раз: любишь ли ты Меня? и сказал Ему: Господи, всё Ты знаешь, Ты знаешь, что я люблю Тебя. Говорит ему Иисус: паси овец Моих.

18 Истинно, истинно говорю тебе: когда ты был молод, то опоясывал себя сам и шел, куда хотел; когда же состаришься, протянешь руки твои, и другой опояшет тебя и поведет, куда не хочешь.

19 А это Он сказал, давая понять, какою смертью он прославит Бога. И сказав это, говорит ему: следуй за Мною.

20 Обернувшись, Петр видит, что следом идет ученик, которого любил Иисус, тот самый, который и припал на вечери к груди Его и сказал: Господи, кто есть предающий Тебя?

21 Итак, увидев его, Петр говорит Иисусу: Господи, а он что?

22 Говорит ему Иисус: если Я хочу, чтобы он пребывал, доколе Я не приду, что тебе? Ты за Мною следуй.

23 Итак разнеслось это слово между братьями, что ученик тот не умрет. Но не сказал ему Иисус, что он не умрет, но: если Я хочу, чтобы он пребывал, доколе Я не приду, что тебе?

24 Он и есть тот ученик, который свидетельствует об этом и написал это, и мы знаем, что истинно его свидетельство.

25 Есть же и многое другое, что сотворил Иисус: если бы о всём том писалось, думаю, что и самому миру не вместить тех книг, которые стали бы писать.

1 AFTER these things, Jesus showed himself again to his disciples by the sea of Tiberias; and he appeared in this way:

1 После этого явил Себя снова Иисус ученикам на море Тивериадском, явил же так.

3 Simon Peter said to them, I am going to catch fish. They said to him, We also will come with you. So they went out and went up into the boat; and that night they caught nothing.

3 Говорит им Симон Петр: иду ловить рыбу. Говорят ему: идем и мы с тобой. Вышли и сели в лодку, и в ту ночь не поймали ничего.

4 When morning came, Jesus stood by the sea side; and the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

4 И когда утро уже наступало, стал Иисус на берегу, но не знали ученики, что это Иисус.

5 So Jesus said to them, Boys, have you got anything to eat? They said to him, No.

5 Говорит им Иисус: друзья, есть ли у вас что-нибудь к хлебу? Они ответили Ему: нет.

6 He said to them, Throw your net on the right side of the boat, and you will find. So they threw it, and they were not able to draw the net, because of the many fishes which it had caught.

6 Он же сказал им: закиньте сеть по правую сторону лодки, и найдете. Они закинули и уже не могли ее вытащить от множества рыбы.

7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, That is our Lord. When Simon heard that it was our Lord, he took his cloak and girded it around his waist, because he was naked; and he jumped into the sea to come to Jesus.

7 Говорит тогда ученик тот, которого любил Иисус, Петру: это Господь. Симон же Петр, услышав, что это Господь, опоясался одеждой (ибо он был наг) и бросился в море.

8 Другие же ученики приплыли в лодке (были они недалеко от земли: около двухсот локтей), таща сеть с рыбой.

9 Когда же они сошли на землю, видят разложенные горящие уголья и рыбу, на них лежащую, и хлеб.

10 Jesus said to them, Bring some of the fish which you have now caught.

10 Говорит им Иисус: принесите из тех рыб, что вы поймали сейчас.

11 So Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of large fishes, one hundred and fifty-three; and in spite of this weight, the net did not break.

11 Вошел Симон Петр в лодку и вытащил на землю сеть, полную больших рыб, числом сто пятьдесят три; и хотя их было столько, не разорвалась сеть.

12 Jesus said to them, Come, break your fast. But not one of the disciples dared to ask him who he was, for they knew he was our Lord.

12 Говорит им Иисус: идите, ешьте. Никто из учеников не смел спросить Его: Ты Кто? — зная, что это Господь.

13 Then Jesus drew near, and took bread and fish, and gave to them.

13 Приходит Иисус и берет хлеб и дает им, и рыбу также.

14 This is the third time that Jesus appeared to his disciples, since he rose up from the dead.

14 Это уже в третий раз явился Иисус ученикам, восстав из мертвых.

15 When they had broken their fast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these things? He said to him, Yes, my Lord; you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my male lambs.

15 Итак, когда они поели, говорит Симону Петру Иисус: Симон, сын Иоанна, любишь ли ты Меня больше, чем они? Говорит Ему: да, Господи, Ты знаешь, что я люблю Тебя. Говорит ему: паси ягнят Моих.

16 He said to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me? He said to him, Yes, my Lord; you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my sheep.

16 Говорит ему снова, во второй раз: Симон, сын Иоанна, любишь ли ты Меня? Говорит Ему: да, Господи, Ты знаешь, что я люблю Тебя. Говорит ему: будь пастырем овец Моих.

17 Говорит ему в третий раз: Симон, сын Иоанна, любишь ли ты Меня? Опечалился Петр, что Он сказал ему в третий раз: любишь ли ты Меня? и сказал Ему: Господи, всё Ты знаешь, Ты знаешь, что я люблю Тебя. Говорит ему Иисус: паси овец Моих.

18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to tie up your girdle yourself, and walk wherever you pleased; but when you become old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will tie up for you your girdle, and take you where you do not wish.

18 Истинно, истинно говорю тебе: когда ты был молод, то опоясывал себя сам и шел, куда хотел; когда же состаришься, протянешь руки твои, и другой опояшет тебя и поведет, куда не хочешь.

19 He said this, to show by what death he would glorify God. And when he had said these things, he said to him, Follow me.

19 А это Он сказал, давая понять, какою смертью он прославит Бога. И сказав это, говорит ему: следуй за Мною.

20 Simon Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following him, the one who leaned on the breast of Jesus at the supper, and said, My Lord, who will betray you?

20 Обернувшись, Петр видит, что следом идет ученик, которого любил Иисус, тот самый, который и припал на вечери к груди Его и сказал: Господи, кто есть предающий Тебя?

21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, My Lord, what about him?

21 Итак, увидев его, Петр говорит Иисусу: Господи, а он что?

22 Jesus said to him, If I wish him to remain until I come, what difference does that make to you? You follow me.

22 Говорит ему Иисус: если Я хочу, чтобы он пребывал, доколе Я не приду, что тебе? Ты за Мною следуй.

23 Итак разнеслось это слово между братьями, что ученик тот не умрет. Но не сказал ему Иисус, что он не умрет, но: если Я хочу, чтобы он пребывал, доколе Я не приду, что тебе?

24 This is the disciple who testified concerning all of these things, and who also wrote them; and we know that his testimony is true.

24 Он и есть тот ученик, который свидетельствует об этом и написал это, и мы знаем, что истинно его свидетельство.

25 Есть же и многое другое, что сотворил Иисус: если бы о всём том писалось, думаю, что и самому миру не вместить тех книг, которые стали бы писать.
