第21章

1 以賽亞以河外之平原、得之默示者、述於左曰、爰有軍旅、來從曠野、譬彼狂飇、自南而至、

2 我得默示、知患難將至、強者行攘奪、暴者行虐遇、無所禁止、以攔人米太人往哉、環攻巴比倫、維昔巴比倫俾民哀號、已不令此聲入耳矣。

3 巴比倫人曰、我罹患難、憂心戚戚、劬勞如臨產之婦、恐懼觳觫、不忍見聞、

4 我心昏迷、戰栗特甚、深宵宴樂、忽變駭懼、

5 設席宴享、爰遣邏卒巡更、呼曰、羣伯速興、備爾干戈、

6 主謂我曰、遣戍稽察、有所見卽呼告。

7 適見驍騎、齊驅並駕、駝驢成羣、於是傾耳諦聽、

8 大聲呼曰、彼來若獅、我主歟、余巡守已永朝矣、屹立已永夕矣、

9 今見驍騎、齊驅並駕。曰、巴比倫城其傾圮乎、其傾圮乎、偶像遭毁、顛躓於地。

10 余曰、我民被蹂躪、若春穀於塲圃、萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華、宣諭乎我、我已告爾。〇

11 以賽亞以土馬之事、得之默示者、述於左、自西耳有人招予、曰、戍卒歟、民遇患難、如在昏夜、其事可若何、呼之者再。

12 應之曰、旭日將至、昏夜亦至、爾欲詰予、必先悔爾心、乃可。〇

13 以賽亞以亞喇伯之事、得之默示者、述於左、底但之旅、結隊而行、當於亞喇伯曠野、留信宿焉、

14 提馬居民、以水供渴乏、以餅給逃亡、

15 彼避利刃弓矢、戰鬬而來。

16 主諭我曰、未及一載、基達之榮悉廢、若傭之有定期、

17 其執弓之武士、尚有留遺、則必減其數焉、以色列族之上帝耶和華已言之矣。

1 The burden4853 of the desert4057 of the sea.3220 As whirlwinds5492 in the south5045 pass2498 through; so it comes935 from the desert,4057 from a terrible3372 land.776

2 A grievous7186 vision2380 is declared5046 to me; the treacherous898 dealer deals6213 treacherously,898 and the spoiler7703 spoils.7703 Go5927 up, O Elam:5867 besiege,6696 O Media;4074 all3605 the sighing585 thereof have I made to cease.7673

3 Therefore5921 3651 are my loins4975 filled4390 with pain:2479 pangs6735 have taken270 hold270 on me, as the pangs6735 of a woman that travails:3205 I was bowed5791 down at the hearing8085 of it; I was dismayed926 at the seeing7200 of it.

4 My heart3824 panted,8582 fearfulness6427 affrighted1204 me: the night5399 of my pleasure2837 has he turned7760 into fear2731 to me.

5 Prepare6186 the table,7979 watch6822 in the watchtower,6844 eat,398 drink:8354 arise,6965 you princes,8269 and anoint4886 the shield.4043

6 For thus3541 has the LORD136 said559 to me, Go,3212 set5975 a watchman,6822 let him declare5046 what834 he sees.7200

7 And he saw7200 a chariot7393 with a couple6776 of horsemen,6571 a chariot7393 of asses,2543 and a chariot7393 of camels;1581 and he listened7181 diligently7182 with much7227 heed:7182

8 And he cried,7121 A lion:738 My lord,136 I stand5975 continually8548 on the watchtower4707 in the daytime,3119 and I am set5324 in my ward4931 whole3605 nights:3915

9 And, behold,2009 here2088 comes935 a chariot7393 of men,376 with a couple6776 of horsemen.6571 And he answered6030 and said,559 Babylon894 is fallen,5307 is fallen;5307 and all3605 the graven6456 images of her gods430 he has broken7665 to the ground.776

10 O my threshing,4098 and the corn1121 of my floor:1637 that which834 I have heard8085 of the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 have I declared5046 to you.

11 The burden4853 of Dumah.1746 He calls7121 to me out of Seir,8165 Watchman,8104 what4100 of the night?3915 Watchman,8104 what4100 of the night?3915

12 The watchman8104 said,559 The morning1242 comes,857 and also1571 the night:3915 if518 you will inquire,1158 inquire1158 you: return,7725 come.857

13 The burden4853 on Arabia.6152 In the forest3293 in Arabia6152 shall you lodge,3885 O you traveling736 companies736 of Dedanim.1720

14 The inhabitants3427 of the land776 of Tema8485 brought857 water4325 to him that was thirsty,6771 they prevented6923 with their bread3899 him that fled.5074

15 For they fled5074 from the swords,2719 from the drawn5203 sword,2719 and from the bent1869 bow,7198 and from the grievousness3514 of war.4421

16 For thus3541 has the LORD136 said559 to me, Within5750 a year,8141 according to the years8141 of an hireling,7916 and all3605 the glory3519 of Kedar6938 shall fail:3615

17 And the residue7605 of the number4557 of archers,7198 the mighty1368 men of the children1121 of Kedar,6938 shall be diminished:4591 for the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 has spoken1696 it.
