Chapter 17

1 These5023 words spoke2980 Jesus,2424 and lifted1869 up his eyes3788 to heaven,3772 and said,2036 Father,3962 the hour5610 is come;2064 glorify1392 your Son,5207 that your Son5207 also2532 may glorify1392 you:

2 As you have given1325 him power1849 over all3956 flesh,4561 that he should give1325 eternal166 life2222 to as many as you have given1325 him.

3 And this3778 is life2222 eternal,166 that they might know1097 you the only3441 true228 God,2316 and Jesus2424 Christ,5547 whom3739 you have sent.649

4 I have glorified1392 you on1909 the earth:1093 I have finished5048 the work2041 which3739 you gave1325 me to do.4160

5 And now,3568 O Father,3962 glorify1392 you me with your4572 own4572 self4572 with the glory1391 which3739 I had2192 with you before4253 the world2889 was.

6 I have manifested5319 your name3686 to the men444 which3739 you gave1325 me out of the world:2889 your4671 they were, and you gave1325 them me; and they have kept5083 your word.3056

7 Now3568 they have known1097 that all3956 things whatever3745 you have given1325 me are of you.

8 For I have given1325 to them the words4487 which3739 you gave1325 me; and they have received2983 them, and have known1097 surely230 that I came1831 out from you, and they have believed4100 that you did send649 me.

9 I pray2065 for them: I pray2065 not for the world,2889 but for them which3739 you have given1325 me; for they are yours.4671

10 And all3956 mine1699 are yours,4674 and yours3588 4674 are mine;1699 and I am glorified1392 in them.

11 And now3765 I am1510 no3765 more2089 in the world,2889 but these3778 are in the world,2889 and I come2064 to you. Holy40 Father,3962 keep5083 through1722 your4675 own name3686 those846 whom3739 you have given1325 me, that they may be one,1520 as we are.

12 While3753 I was with them in the world,2889 I kept5083 them in your name:3686 those846 that you gave1325 me I have kept,5442 and none3762 of them is lost,622 but the son5207 of perdition;684 that the scripture1124 might be fulfilled.4137

13 And now3568 come2064 I to you; and these5023 things I speak2980 in the world,2889 that they might have2192 my joy5479 fulfilled4137 in themselves.848

14 I have given1325 them your word;3056 and the world2889 has hated3404 them, because3754 they are not of the world,2889 even2531 as I am1510 not of the world.2889

15 I pray2065 not that you should take142 them out of the world,2889 but that you should keep5083 them from the evil.4190

17 Sanctify37 them through1722 your truth:225 your word3056 is truth.225

18 As you have sent649 me into1519 the world,2889 even2504 so have I also2504 sent649 them into1519 the world.2889

20 Neither3366 pray2065 I for these5130 alone,3440 but for them also2532 which shall believe4100 on1519 me through1223 their word;3056

Chapter 17

1 JESUS spoke these things, and then he lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, O my Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, so that your Son may glorify you.

2 Since you have given him power over all flesh, so that to all whom you have given him, he may give life eternal.

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know you, that you are the only true God, even the one who sent Jesus Christ.

4 I have already glorified you on the earth; for the work which you had given to me to do, I have finished it.

5 So now, O my Father, glorify me with you, with the same glory which I had with you before the world was made.

6 I have made your name known to the men whom you gave me out of the world; they were yours and you gave them to me; and they have kept thy word.

7 Now they know that whatever you have given me is from you.

8 For the words which you gave me I gave them; and they accepted them, and have known truly that I came forth from you, and they have believed that you sent me.

9 What I request is for them; I make no request for the world, but for those whom you have given to me; because they are yours.

10 And everything which is mine, is yours; and what is yours is mine; and I am glorified by them.

11 Hereafter I am not in the world, but these are in the world; and I am coming to you. O holy Father, protect them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.

12 While I was with them in the world, I protected them in your name; those you gave me I protected, and not one of them is lost, except the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13 Now I am coming to you; and these things I speak while I am in the world, that my joy may be complete in them.

14 I have given them your word; and the world hated them, because they were not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

15 What I request is not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should protect them from evil.

16 For they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

17 O Father, sanctify them in your truth, because your word is truth.

18 Just as you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

19 And for their sakes, I am sanctifying myself, so that they also may be sanctified in the truth.

20 I am not making request for these alone, but also for the sake of those who believe in me through their word.

21 So that they all may be one; just as you, my Father, art with me, and I am with you, that they also may be one with us; so that the world may believe you sent me.

22 And the glory which you gave me, I gave to them; so that they may be one just as we are one.

23 I with them and you with me, that they may become perfected in one; so that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them just as you loved me.

24 O Father, I wish that those whom you have given me, may also be with me where I am; so that they may see my glory which you have given me; for you have loved me before the foundation of the world.

25 O my righteous Father, the world did not know you, but I have known you; and these have known that you have sent me.

26 And I have made your name known to them, and I am still making it known; so that the love with which you loved me may be among them, and I be with them.

1 JESUS spoke these things, and then he lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, O my Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, so that your Son may glorify you.

2 As you have given1325 him power1849 over all3956 flesh,4561 that he should give1325 eternal166 life2222 to as many as you have given1325 him.

2 Since you have given him power over all flesh, so that to all whom you have given him, he may give life eternal.

3 And this3778 is life2222 eternal,166 that they might know1097 you the only3441 true228 God,2316 and Jesus2424 Christ,5547 whom3739 you have sent.649

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know you, that you are the only true God, even the one who sent Jesus Christ.
