1 Now1161 when they had passed through1353 Amphipolis295 and2532 Apollonia,624 they came2064 to1519 Thessalonica,2332 where3699 was2258 a synagogue4864 of the3588 Jews: 2453
|
1 保羅西拉周遊暗妃波里、亞波羅泥亞至帖撒羅尼迦、有猶太人會堂、

|
2 And1161 Paul,3972 as his manner was,2596 1486 went in1525 unto4314 them,846 and2532 three5140 sabbath days4521 reasoned1256 with them846 out of575 the3588 Scriptures,1124
|
2 保羅依然入堂、歷三安息日、與人辯論經書、
|
|
3 Opening1272 and2532 alleging,3908 that3754 Christ5547 must needs1163 have suffered,3958 and2532 risen again450 from1537 the dead;3498 and2532 that3754 this3778 Jesus,2424 whom3739 I1473 preach2605 unto you,5213 is2076 Christ.5547

3 說書、明陳基督當受害、死而復生、又云、我所傳之耶穌、卽基督也、

|
4 And2532 some5100 of1537 them846 believed,3982 and2532 consorted with4345 Paul3972 and2532 Silas;4609 and5037 of the3588 devout4576 Greeks1672 a great4183 multitude,4128 and5037 of the3588 chief4413 women1135 not3756 a few.3641

4 猶太數人、及敬虔之希利尼人甚多、貴婦亦不少、信其道、納交保羅西拉、〇
|
|
5 But1161 the3588 Jews2453 which believed not,544 moved with envy,2206 2532 took unto4355 them certain5100 lewd4190 fellows435 of the3588 baser sort,60 and2532 gathered a company,3792 and set all the city on an uproar,2350 3588 4172 and5037 assaulted2186 the3588 house3614 of Jason,2394 and sought2212 to846 bring them out71 to1519 the3588 people.1218

5 不信之猶太人妒焉、招納市井匪類、在城羣集爲亂、突至耶孫室、欲取保羅西拉出以示民、

|
6 And1161 when they found2147 them846 not,3361 they drew4951 Jason2394 and2532 certain5100 brethren80 unto1909 the3588 rulers of the city,4173 crying,994 These3778 that have turned the world upside down387 3588 3625 are come3918 hither1759 also;2532
|
6 不遇、則曳耶孫與數兄弟送於邑宰、呼曰、有亂天下者至此、
|
|
7 Whom3739 Jason2394 hath received:5264 and2532 these3778 all3956 do4238 contrary561 to the3588 decrees1378 of Caesar,2541 saying3004 that there is1511 another2087 king,935 one Jesus.2424

7 耶孫納之、此衆所行、違該撒命、言有他王耶穌也、
|
|
8 And1161 they troubled5015 the3588 people3793 and2532 the3588 rulers of the city,4173 when they heard191 these things.5023
|
8 猶太人言此、悚邑宰與衆之聽、
|
|
9 And2532 when they had taken2983 security2425 of3844 Jason,2394 and2532 of the3588 other,3062 they let them go.630 846
|
9 邑宰乃取耶孫與其黨之保而釋之〇
|
|
10 And1161 the3588 brethren80 immediately2112 sent away1599 5037 Paul3972 and2532 Silas4609 by1223 night3571 unto1519 Berea:960 who3748 coming3854 thither went549 into1519 the3588 synagogue4864 of the3588 Jews.2453
|
10 是夜、兄弟急令保羅、西拉往庇哩亞、至、則入猶太人會堂、
|
|
11 These3778 were2258 more noble2104 than those3588 in1722 Thessalonica,2332 in that they3748 received1209 the3588 word3056 with3326 all3956 readiness of mind,4288 and searched350 the3588 Scriptures1124 daily,2596 2250 whether1487 those things5023 were2192 so.3779
|
11 其人賢於帖撒羅尼迦人、以其願安受道、惟日玩索經文、果有此語否、
|
|
12 Therefore3767 many4183 3303 of1537 them846 believed;4100 also2532 of honorable2158 women1135 which were Greeks,1674 and2532 of men,435 not3756 a few.3641
|
12 故信之者衆、又有希利尼貴女、男子亦不少、
|
|
13 But1161 when5613 the3588 Jews2453 of575 Thessalonica2332 had knowledge1097 that3754 the3588 word3056 of God2316 was preached2605 of5259 Paul3972 at1722 Berea,960 they came2064 thither also,2546 and stirred up4531 the3588 people.3793
|
13 帖撒羅尼迦之猶太人、知保羅傳上帝道於庇哩亞、則至其邑、亂衆、
|
|
14 And1161 then5119 immediately2112 the3588 brethren80 sent away1821 Paul3972 to go4198 as it were5613 to1909 the3588 sea:2281 but1161 5037 Silas4609 and2532 Timothy5095 abode5278 there1563 still.
|
14 兄弟卽令保羅適於海、惟西拉、提摩太尚留庇哩亞焉、
|
|
15 And1161 they that conducted2525 Paul3972 brought71 him846 unto2193 Athens:116 and2532 receiving2983 a commandment1785 unto4314 Silas4609 and2532 Timothy5095 for to come2064 to4314 him846 with all speed,5613 5033 they departed.1826
|
15 人引保羅至雅典、保羅命之召西拉、提摩太速至、引者受命而返、〇
|
|
16 Now1161 while Paul3972 waited for1551 them846 at1722 Athens,116 his848 spirit4151 was stirred3947 in1722 him,846 when he saw2334 the3588 city4172 wholly given to idolatry.2712
|
16 保羅在雅典待之、見邑人專崇偶像、憂心戚戚、
|
|
17 Therefore3767 disputed1256 he3303 in1722 the3588 synagogue4864 with the3588 Jews,2453 and2532 with the3588 devout persons,4576 and2532 in1722 the3588 market58 daily2596 3956 2250 with4314 them that met with3909 him.
|
17 乃入會堂、與猶太人及敬虔者辯論、日在市、有所遇、亦如之、
|
|
18 Then1161 certain5100 philosophers5386 of the3588 Epicureans,1946 and2532 of the3588 Stoics,4770 encountered4820 him.846 And2532 some5100 said,3004 What5101 will2309 302 this3778 babbler4691 say?3004 1161 other3588 some, He seemeth1380 to be1511 a setter forth2604 of strange3581 gods:1140 because3754 he preached2097 unto them846 Jesus,2424 and2532 the3588 resurrection.386

18 時、以彼古羅、士多亞智者與之爭、有曰、此嘐啁者奚爲、有曰、其傳他邦之鬼神歟、蓋保羅傳福音必稱耶穌及復生也、

|
19 And5037 they took1949 him,846 and brought71 him unto1909 Areopagus,697 saying,3004 May1410 we know1097 what5101 this3778 new2537 doctrine,1322 whereof3588 thou4675 speakest,2980 is?
|
19 衆援之、引至亞略巴古、曰、爾所言新道、可知之乎、
|
|
20 For1063 thou bringest1533 certain5100 strange things3579 to1519 our2257 ears:189 we would1014 know1097 therefore3767 what5101 these things5023 mean.2309 302 1511
|
20 爾有異聞入我耳、我儕欲知其意、
|
|
21 (For1161 all3956 the Athenians117 and2532 strangers3581 which were there1927 spent their time2119 in1519 nothing3762 else,2087 but2228 either to tell,3004 or2532 to hear191 some5100 new thing.)2537
|
21 衆雅典人及外邦旅人、不遑他務、惟新事是言是聽而已、〇
|
|
22 Then1161 Paul3972 stood2476 in1722 the midst3319 of Mars' hill,697 and said,5346 Ye men435 of Athens,117 I perceive2334 that in2596 all things3956 ye5209 are5613 too superstitious.1174
|
22 保羅立亞略巴古中、曰、雅典人、我觀爾曹、畏鬼神甚哉、
|
|
23 For1063 as I passed by,1330 and2532 beheld333 your5216 devotions,4574 I found2147 an2532 altar1041 with this inscription,1722 3739 1924 TO THE UNKNOWN57 GOD.2316 Whom3739 therefore3767 ye ignorantly50 worship,2151 him5126 declare2605 I1473 unto you.5213

23 我方行遊、見爾所拜、遇一壇、書曰、未識之上帝、爾所未識而崇奉者、我爲爾告之、
|
|
24 God2316 that made4160 the3588 world2889 and2532 all things3956 therein,1722 846 seeing that he3778 is5225 Lord2962 of heaven3772 and2532 earth,1093 dwelleth2730 not3756 in1722 temples3485 made with hands;5499
|
24 夫造宇宙萬物之上帝、乃天地主、不居手造之殿、
|
|
25 Neither3761 is worshiped2323 with5259 men's444 hands,5495 as though he needed4326 any thing,5100 seeing he846 giveth1325 to all3956 life,2222 and2532 breath,4157 and all things;2596 3956
|
25 不爲人手所事、亦不需一物、乃以生命呼吸萬物予衆、
|
|
26 And5037 hath made4160 of1537 one1520 blood129 all3956 nations1484 of men444 for to dwell2730 on1909 all3956 the3588 face4383 of the3588 earth,1093 and hath determined3724 the times2540 before appointed,4384 and2532 the3588 bounds3734 of their848 habitation;2733

26 主造萬國本於一脈、地以居之、時以定之、界以限之、
|
|
27 That they should seek2212 the3588 Lord,2962 if1487 haply686 1065 they might feel after5584 him,846 and2532 find2147 him, though2544 he be5225 not3756 far3112 from575 every1538 one1520 of us: 2257
|
27 欲人求主、庶揣摩得之、而主離我不遠、
|
|
28 For1063 in1722 him846 we live,2198 and2532 move,2795 and2532 have our being;2070 as5613 certain5100 also2532 of your own2596 5209 poets4163 have said,2046 For1063 we are2070 also2532 his5120 offspring.1085
|
28 蓋我儕賴之而生、而動、而存、如爾作詩者有云、我儕爲其赤子焉、
|
|
29 Forasmuch then3767 as we are5225 the offspring1085 of God,2316 we ought3784 not3756 to think3543 that the3588 Godhead2304 is1511 like unto3664 gold,5557 or2228 silver,696 or2228 stone,3037 graven5480 by art5078 and2532 man's444 device.1761
|
29 旣爲上帝亦子、則上帝之體、不可以若金、若銀、若石、人工機巧琢之、
|
|
30 And3767 3303 the3588 times5550 of this ignorance52 God2316 winked5237 at; but now3569 commandeth3853 all3956 men444 every where3837 to repent: 3340
|
30 往者冒昧以行、上帝不咎、今乃隨在、命衆悔改、
|
|
31 Because1360 he hath appointed2476 a day,2250 in1722 the which3739 he will3195 judge2919 the3588 world3625 in1722 righteousness1343 by1722 that man435 whom3739 he hath ordained;3724 whereof he hath given3930 assurance4102 unto all3956 men, in that he hath raised450 him846 from1537 the dead.3498

31 定一日欲以所立之人、義判天下、而復生之、俾衆黴信焉、〇
|
|
32 And1161 when they heard191 of the resurrection386 of the dead,3498 some3588 3303 mocked:5512 and1161 others3588 said,2036 We will hear191 thee4675 again3825 of4012 this5127 matter.
|
32 衆聞復生之言、有笑之者、或曰、我儕願再聞其說、
|
|
33 2532 So3779 Paul3972 departed1831 from1537 among3319 them.846
|
33 於是保羅離衆、親之而信道者數人、中有亞略巴古人丟尼修、及婦名大馬哩、又有數人偕之、
|
|
34 Howbeit1161 certain5100 men435 cleaved2853 unto him,846 and2532 believed:4100 among1722 the which3739 was Dionysius1354 the3588 Areopagite,698 and2532 a woman1135 named3686 Damaris,1152 and2532 others2087 with4862 them.846

34 親之而信道者數人、中有亞略巴古人丟尼修、及婦名大馬哩、又有數人偕之、
