2 Then3767 she runneth,5143 and2532 cometh2064 to4314 Simon4613 Peter,4074 and2532 to4314 the3588 other243 disciple,3101 whom3739 Jesus2424 loved,5368 and2532 saith3004 unto them,846 They have taken away142 the3588 Lord2962 out1537 of the3588 sepulcher,3419 and2532 we know1492 not3756 where4226 they have laid5087 him.846

3 Peter4074 therefore3767 went forth,1831 and2532 that other243 disciple,3101 and2532 came2064 to1519 the3588 sepulcher.3419

4 So1161 they ran5143 both1417 together:3674 and2532 the3588 other243 disciple3101 did outrun4390 5032 Peter4074 and2532 came2064 first4413 to1519 the3588 sepulcher.3419

5 And2532 he stooping down,3879 and looking in, saw991 the3588 linen clothes3608 lying;2749 yet3305 went he not in.1525 3756

6 Then3767 cometh2064 Simon4613 Peter4074 following190 him,846 and2532 went1525 into1519 the3588 sepulcher,3419 and2532 seeth2334 the3588 linen clothes3608 lie,2749

7 And2532 the3588 napkin,4676 that3739 was2258 about1909 his846 head,2776 not3756 lying2749 with3326 the3588 linen clothes,3608 but235 wrapped together1794 in1519 a1520 place5117 by itself.5565

8 Then5119 went in1525 also2532 that3767 other243 disciple,3101 which came2064 first4413 to1519 the3588 sepulcher,3419 and2532 he saw,1491 and2532 believed.4100

9 For1063 as yet they knew not3764 1492 the3588 Scripture,1124 that3754 he846 must1163 rise again450 from1537 the dead.3498

10 Then3767 the3588 disciples3101 went away565 again3825 unto4314 their own home.1438

11 But1161 Mary3137 stood2476 without1854 at4314 the3588 sepulcher3419 weeping:2799 and3767 as5613 she wept,2799 she stooped down,3879 and looked into1519 the3588 sepulcher,3419

12 And2532 seeth2334 two1417 angels32 in1722 white3022 sitting,2516 the one1520 at4314 the3588 head,2776 and2532 the other1520 at4314 the3588 feet,4228 where3699 the3588 body4983 of Jesus2424 had lain.2749

13 And2532 they1565 say3004 unto her,846 Woman,1135 why5101 weepest2799 thou? She saith3004 unto them,846 Because3754 they have taken away142 my3450 Lord,2962 and2532 I know1492 not3756 where4226 they have laid5087 him.846

14 And2532 when she had thus5023 said,2036 she turned4762 herself back,1519 3694 and2532 saw2334 Jesus2424 standing,2476 and2532 knew1492 not3756 that3754 it was2076 Jesus.2424

15 Jesus2424 saith3004 unto her,846 Woman,1135 why5101 weepest2799 thou? whom5101 seekest2212 thou? She,1565 supposing1380 him3754 to be2076 the3588 gardener,2780 saith3004 unto him,846 Sir,2962 if1487 thou4771 have borne941 him846 hence, tell2036 me3427 where4226 thou hast laid5087 him,846 and I2504 will take him away.142 846

16 Jesus2424 saith3004 unto her,846 Mary.3137 She1565 turned4762 herself, and saith3004 unto him,846 Rabboni;4462 which is to say,3739 3004 Master.1320

17 Jesus2424 saith3004 unto her,846 Touch680 me3450 not;3361 for1063 I am not yet3768 ascended305 to4314 my3450 Father: 3962 but1161 go4198 to4314 my3450 brethren,80 and2532 say2036 unto them,846 I ascend305 unto4314 my3450 Father,3962 and2532 your5216 Father;3962 and2532 to my3450 God,2316 and2532 your5216 God.2316

18 Mary3137 Magdalene3094 came2064 and told518 the3588 disciples3101 that3754 she had seen3708 the3588 Lord,2962 and2532 that he had spoken2036 these things5023 unto her.846

19 Then3767 the3588 same1565 day2250 at evening,3798 being5607 the3588 first3391 day of the3588 week,4521 when2532 the3588 doors2374 were shut2808 where3699 the3588 disciples3101 were2258 assembled4863 for1223 fear5401 of the3588 Jews,2453 came2064 Jesus2424 and2532 stood2476 in1519 the3588 midst,3319 and2532 saith3004 unto them,846 Peace1515 be unto you.5213

20 And2532 when he had so5124 said,2036 he showed1166 unto them846 his hands5495 and2532 his848 side.4125 Then3767 were the disciples glad,5463 3588 3101 when they saw1492 the3588 Lord.2962

21 Then3767 said2036 Jesus2424 to them846 again,3825 Peace1515 be unto you: 5213 as2531 my Father3962 hath sent649 me,3165 even so send I2504 3992 you.5209

22 And2532 when he had said2036 this,5124 he breathed on1720 them, and2532 saith3004 unto them,846 Receive2983 ye the Holy40 Ghost: 4151

23 Whose soever5100 302 sins266 ye remit,863 they are remitted863 unto them;846 and whose soever5100 302 sins ye retain,2902 they are retained.2902

24 But1161 Thomas,2381 one1520 of1537 the3588 twelve,1427 called3004 Didymus,1324 was2258 not3756 with3326 them846 when3753 Jesus2424 came.2064

25 The3588 other243 disciples3101 therefore3767 said3004 unto him,846 We have seen3708 the3588 Lord.2962 But1161 he3588 said2036 unto them,846 Except3362 I shall see1492 in1722 his846 hands5495 the3588 print5179 of the3588 nails,2247 and2532 put906 my3450 finger1147 into1519 the3588 print5179 of the3588 nails,2247 and2532 thrust906 my3450 hand5495 into1519 his846 side,4125 I will not3364 believe.4100

26 And2532 after3326 eight3638 days2250 again3825 his846 disciples3101 were2258 within,2080 and2532 Thomas2381 with3326 them:846 then came2064 Jesus,2424 the3588 doors2374 being shut,2808 and2532 stood2476 in1519 the3588 midst,3319 and2532 said,2036 Peace,1515 be unto you.5213

27 Then1534 saith3004 he to Thomas,2381 Reach5342 hither5602 thy4675 finger,1147 and2532 behold1492 my3450 hands;5495 and2532 reach5342 hither thy4675 hand,5495 and2532 thrust906 it into1519 my3450 side: 4125 and2532 be1096 not3361 faithless,571 but235 believing.4103

28 And2532 Thomas2381 answered611 and2532 said2036 unto him,846 My3450 Lord2962 and2532 my3450 God.2316

29 Jesus2424 saith3004 unto him,846 Thomas,2381 because3754 thou hast seen3708 me,3165 thou hast believed: 4100 blessed3107 are they that have not seen,1492 3361 and2532 yet have believed.4100

30 And2532 many4183 other243 signs4592 truly3303 did4160 Jesus2424 in the presence1799 of his848 disciples,3101 which3739 are2076 not3756 written1125 in1722 this5129 book: 975

31 But1161 these5023 are written,1125 that2443 ye might believe4100 that3754 Jesus2424 is2076 the3588 Christ,5547 the3588 Son5207 of God;2316 and2532 that2443 believing4100 ye might have2192 life2222 through1722 his846 name.3686

Chapter 20

1 ON the first day of the week, early in the morning, while it was yet dark, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb; and she saw that the stone was removed from the tomb.

2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and she said to them, They have taken our Lord out of that tomb, and I do not know where they have laid him.

3 So Simon and the other disciple went out, and came to the tomb.

4 And they were both running together; but that disciple outran Simon, and came first to the tomb.

5 And he looked in and saw the linen cloths lying; but he did not enter in.

6 Then Simon came after him, and entered into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying,

7 And the burial napkin which was bound around his head, was not with the linen cloths, but was wrapped up and put in a place by itself.

8 Then the other disciple who had come first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.

9 For they did yet not understand from the scripture, that he had to rise from the dead.

10 So the disciples went away again to their lodging place.

11 But Mary was standing near the tomb weeping; and as she wept, she looked into the tomb;

12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13 And they said to her, Woman, why do you weep? She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.

14 She said this and turned around, and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.

15 Jesus said to her, Woman, why do you weep? and whom do you want? She thought he was the gardener, so she said to him, My lord, if you are the one who has taken him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will go and take him away.

16 Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned around and said to him in Hebrew, Rabbuli! which means, My Teacher!

17 Jesus said to her, Do not come near me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

18 Then Mary of Magdala came and brought glad tidings to the disciples, that she had seen our Lord and that he had told her these things.

19 When it was evening on that first day of the week, and the doors were shut where the disciples were staying for fear of the Jews, Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, Peace be with you.

20 He said this, and then he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw our Lord.

21 Then Jesus said to them again, Peace be with you; just as my Father has sent me, so I send you.

22 And when he had said these things, he gave them courage and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.

23 If you forgive a man his sins, they shall be forgiven to him; and if you hold a man's sins, they are held.

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, who is called the Twin, was not there with them when Jesus came.

25 And the disciples said to him, We have seen our Lord. He said to them, Unless I see in his hands the places of the nails, and put my fingers in them, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 Eight days later, the disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, when the doors were locked, and stood in the midst, and said to them, Peace be with you.

27 Then he said to Thomas, Bring your finger here, and see my hands; and bring your hand and put it into my side; and do not be an unbeliever, but a believer.

28 Thomas answered and said to him, O my Lord and my God!

29 Jesus said to him, Now you believe, because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen me, and have believed.

30 Many other miracles Jesus did in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;

31 Even these are written, so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and when you believe you shall have life everlasting in his name.

1 ON the first day of the week, early in the morning, while it was yet dark, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb; and she saw that the stone was removed from the tomb.

2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and she said to them, They have taken our Lord out of that tomb, and I do not know where they have laid him.

3 Peter4074 therefore3767 went forth,1831 and2532 that other243 disciple,3101 and2532 came2064 to1519 the3588 sepulcher.3419

3 So Simon and the other disciple went out, and came to the tomb.

4 So1161 they ran5143 both1417 together:3674 and2532 the3588 other243 disciple3101 did outrun4390 5032 Peter4074 and2532 came2064 first4413 to1519 the3588 sepulcher.3419

4 And they were both running together; but that disciple outran Simon, and came first to the tomb.

5 And2532 he stooping down,3879 and looking in, saw991 the3588 linen clothes3608 lying;2749 yet3305 went he not in.1525 3756

5 And he looked in and saw the linen cloths lying; but he did not enter in.

6 Then3767 cometh2064 Simon4613 Peter4074 following190 him,846 and2532 went1525 into1519 the3588 sepulcher,3419 and2532 seeth2334 the3588 linen clothes3608 lie,2749

6 Then Simon came after him, and entered into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying,

7 And2532 the3588 napkin,4676 that3739 was2258 about1909 his846 head,2776 not3756 lying2749 with3326 the3588 linen clothes,3608 but235 wrapped together1794 in1519 a1520 place5117 by itself.5565

7 And the burial napkin which was bound around his head, was not with the linen cloths, but was wrapped up and put in a place by itself.

8 Then5119 went in1525 also2532 that3767 other243 disciple,3101 which came2064 first4413 to1519 the3588 sepulcher,3419 and2532 he saw,1491 and2532 believed.4100

8 Then the other disciple who had come first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.

9 For1063 as yet they knew not3764 1492 the3588 Scripture,1124 that3754 he846 must1163 rise again450 from1537 the dead.3498

9 For they did yet not understand from the scripture, that he had to rise from the dead.

10 Then3767 the3588 disciples3101 went away565 again3825 unto4314 their own home.1438

10 So the disciples went away again to their lodging place.

11 But1161 Mary3137 stood2476 without1854 at4314 the3588 sepulcher3419 weeping:2799 and3767 as5613 she wept,2799 she stooped down,3879 and looked into1519 the3588 sepulcher,3419

11 But Mary was standing near the tomb weeping; and as she wept, she looked into the tomb;

12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13 And they said to her, Woman, why do you weep? She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.

14 And2532 when she had thus5023 said,2036 she turned4762 herself back,1519 3694 and2532 saw2334 Jesus2424 standing,2476 and2532 knew1492 not3756 that3754 it was2076 Jesus.2424

14 She said this and turned around, and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.

15 Jesus said to her, Woman, why do you weep? and whom do you want? She thought he was the gardener, so she said to him, My lord, if you are the one who has taken him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will go and take him away.

16 Jesus2424 saith3004 unto her,846 Mary.3137 She1565 turned4762 herself, and saith3004 unto him,846 Rabboni;4462 which is to say,3739 3004 Master.1320

16 Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned around and said to him in Hebrew, Rabbuli! which means, My Teacher!

17 Jesus said to her, Do not come near me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

18 Mary3137 Magdalene3094 came2064 and told518 the3588 disciples3101 that3754 she had seen3708 the3588 Lord,2962 and2532 that he had spoken2036 these things5023 unto her.846

18 Then Mary of Magdala came and brought glad tidings to the disciples, that she had seen our Lord and that he had told her these things.

19 When it was evening on that first day of the week, and the doors were shut where the disciples were staying for fear of the Jews, Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, Peace be with you.

20 And2532 when he had so5124 said,2036 he showed1166 unto them846 his hands5495 and2532 his848 side.4125 Then3767 were the disciples glad,5463 3588 3101 when they saw1492 the3588 Lord.2962

20 He said this, and then he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw our Lord.

21 Then3767 said2036 Jesus2424 to them846 again,3825 Peace1515 be unto you: 5213 as2531 my Father3962 hath sent649 me,3165 even so send I2504 3992 you.5209

21 Then Jesus said to them again, Peace be with you; just as my Father has sent me, so I send you.

22 And2532 when he had said2036 this,5124 he breathed on1720 them, and2532 saith3004 unto them,846 Receive2983 ye the Holy40 Ghost: 4151

22 And when he had said these things, he gave them courage and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.

23 Whose soever5100 302 sins266 ye remit,863 they are remitted863 unto them;846 and whose soever5100 302 sins ye retain,2902 they are retained.2902

23 If you forgive a man his sins, they shall be forgiven to him; and if you hold a man's sins, they are held.

24 But1161 Thomas,2381 one1520 of1537 the3588 twelve,1427 called3004 Didymus,1324 was2258 not3756 with3326 them846 when3753 Jesus2424 came.2064

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, who is called the Twin, was not there with them when Jesus came.

25 And the disciples said to him, We have seen our Lord. He said to them, Unless I see in his hands the places of the nails, and put my fingers in them, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.
